“One in five women with menopause have considered dropping out of work, have foregone promotion. And we are just at the top of our game and to take us out at 50 is not okay. It's about empowering women to be the best that we can possibly be.” When Dr. Sophia Yen co-founded Pandia Health, the idea was to provide free birth control delivery to anyone with insurance, from private options to Medicaid. But when Pandia Health started advertising their services, Dr. Yen was shocked to find that 60% of respondents didn't even have prescriptions—and that's when the company's true mission was born. Now, Pandia Health offers birth control prescriptions for just $30 once a year for an expert consultation with one of their on-staff physicians. Today, Dr. Yen serves as chief medical officer of Pandia Health—the only woman-founded, woman-led, and doctor-led birth control delivery service. Founded initially with birth control in mind, Pandia Health has since expanded to include treatments for menopause and acne. As a leading researcher in reproductive health, Dr. Yen is a passionate advocate for reproductive rights and has pioneered the “period's optional” concept. By utilizing AI to tailor hormonal care to individual needs, Pandia Health is committed to elevating hormonal health standards and empowering everyone to receive the personalized care they deserve. “Everybody has an unfair advantage. Use it. It could be an expertise that you have, that could be contacts you have in an industry that's adjacent to the industry of your startup or can help your startup—use that. When Marina Khidekel started her search for a solution to her nighttime anxiety, she turned to weighted blankets to aid her bedtime routine. That's when she took matters into her own hands, creating a line of weighted products to help people just like her. Today, Marina is the founder and CEO of Hugimals World, an award-winning line of weighted stuffed animals that have redefined comfort and self-care for adults and kids alike.  Marina's journey from health and wellness journalist to entrepreneur began with her search for a non-restrictive solution to nighttime anxiety. I didn't want to answer any questions about where I was going because…I felt so, I don't know, embarrassed to be 24 and say to my boss, ‘I'm quitting to start my own company and…I don't know if it's gonna work. Of course we can't conquer the world—we're not capable. But we can all do our part and contribute in some ways and we have to start because I believe doing is powerful… because not doing is not.” Growing up in India, Pallavi Pande spent her childhood eating her meals off of banana leaves—a memory she cherished so much that she wanted to share it with her children… and the rest of the world. Today, Pallavi is a BIPOC mompreneur and founder of Dtocs, a company that crafts sustainable single use tableware from fallen palm leaves. Recognizing the environmental impact of traditional disposable tableware, Pallavi drew from her Indian heritage and established Dtocs in 2019 to offer a greener alternative for both households and events. Beyond her innovative products, Pallavi is deeply committed to social causes, leveraging Dtocs to support community upliftment, women's empowerment, and education for underserved children. “We don't have to do a million things, we just have to do the right things. We often feel like ‘I don't have a big budget to spend on ads and that's why I'm not successful.' We're chasing all of these different marketing tactics… In truth, we don't actually need to be doing that much.” Lindsey Breitwieser spent nearly a decade of her career in marketing working in-house for international agencies, but after starting a family, she realized it was time to find a solution to feeling chained to her desk. Now, Lindsey is the founder of The CMO Lab, a boutique marketing consulting company that delivers top tier marketing strategy and leadership to burgeoning and established B2M and service based businesses. “You know, it hurts. Nobody likes rejection and somebody didn't like you—whether it be in a relationship or in a job. But you have to figure out how to get up and dust yourself off and make it work. And that's a large part of what I try to impart to my clients, too, when I'm working with them.” After Billé Frazier was laid off from what she believed to be her “dream job,” she decided to take it as a sign from above that it was time to turn her side hustle into a full time career. Today, Billé is a keynote speaker, an author, and the founder of Follow the LeadHer, a coaching agency aimed at empowering women to align with their authentic selves beyond societal expectations. With over 20 years of experience in human resources,  Billé has honed her skills in transformational change, conflict resolution, and diversity and inclusion. In her work with Follow the LeadHer, Billé uses Neuro Linguistic Programming to help clients overcome negative thoughts and limiting behaviors in order to foster a life of authenticity and purpose. Tune in and hear Billé explain why we should start incorporating NLP into our lives, the lessons she's learned about marketing Follow the LeadHer, and what she considers her biggest business win to date. What we talk about:   After being laid off, Billé allowed herself a brief pity party—then it was time to get back to work (03:58) The process of using hypnosis to make our minds work in our favor (07:28) Billé's favorite marketing tools (19:21) The biggest challenge Billé has faced in building her business (22:11) Connect with Billé: Instagram Website Members of our Entreprenista League get access to live Office Hours with top founders that have been on our show!
