In this episode of Dismantling You, I sit down with Dr. Jennifer Kulp-Makarov, a Board-Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and founder of Fleura Fertility, trained at Johns Hopkins and Yale. We dig into how traditional fertility clinics often rely on a one size fits all approach to IVF, and why that can actually backfire for women with low AMH or those trying to conceive over 40. Dr. Jennifer shares the patient experience that changed everything for her: a woman who gave up on growing her family because she thought aggressive, high dose IVF was her only option. That moment became the catalyst for her to build a practice centered on personalized protocols and her signature Goldilocks approach to stimulation, finding the just right dose of medication rather than defaulting to the highest one.We also explore cutting edge fertility innovations including ovarian PRP, which is showing promise in improving markers like AMH and antifollicle count, and rapamycin, an emerging treatment that may help protect egg reserves and delay menopause. Dr. Jennifer breaks down how FSH dosing plays a critical role in egg competence and why monitoring it throughout the cycle, not just at baseline, makes a real difference. We talk about how fertility care is evolving to better support LGBTQ individuals through inclusive language and treatment design, and how AI could soon help standardize ultrasound data and embryo analysis. We wrap up with Dr. Jennifer's rapid fire answers on the most underrated factor in fertility, the biggest mistake patients make when choosing a clinic, and the one belief she had to dismantle in her own career.__________________________________________________Key Highlights

Super Adaptables host Corey “Pheez” Lee sits down with Eli Kulp, a celebrated chef, restaurateur, and media creator whose culinary career took him from top New York kitchens to national acclaim in Philadelphia, where he helped relaunch the iconic Fork and shape the city's dining scene. After the 2015 Amtrak derailment left him paralyzed, Eli found renewed purpose through storytelling, first with The CHEF Radio Podcast and later as co-creator of Delicious City Philly, a podcast celebrating Philadelphia's vibrant food and drink culture. Through that work, he also helped launch The Tasties, the city's first chef and restaurant awards. Above all, Eli is proud to be a father to his 13-year-old son, whose strength and spirit inspire him every day.
What happens when a physics professor dives headfirst into the world of AI—and also writes space operas on the side? In this episode, we talk with Chris Kulp, professor at Lycoming College and award-winning science fiction author, about the fascinating collision of science, storytelling, and machine learning.
Since his days as a kid housing full packs of double-stuffed Oreos and torching his tongue with bootleg Chinese Warheads, Chef Josh Kulp has always been chasing big flavors. It makes sense, then, that the moment he and his business partners first dipped their fried chicken in honey butter felt like a huge eureka -- salty, crunchy, sweet, and creamy all at once. That unlikely pairing grew into Honey Butter Fried Chicken, the Avondale restaurant he co-founded with Christine Cikowski that became one of our go-to spots. Josh joins us in the studio to share his side of the genesis and to reflect on his journey -- from underground supper clubs to his newest project, Honey Butter Beach Club, a seafood-forward spinoff opening inside SPF Chicago, the city's massive indoor pickleball facility. We dig into Josh's philosophy as both chef and owner, hear what it takes to run an ethical business, reminisce about how we all first crossed paths -- and as always, so much more.

In 2016, Ryan Kulp launched Fomo because he saw marketers using aggressive popups on their websites. Kulp reasoned that if he could show other people were shopping and interacting with a site, it would give new visitors confidence in the company. Fomo allows businesses to show off real-time customer interactions (purchases, opt-ins, even pageviews) with a line of code the company installs on their site. Kulp led Fomo to around $1 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) before deciding to step down as CEO in 2020. Two years later, an acquirer approached Kulp about acquiring Fomo. Initially, he wasn't interested, but after some soul-searching, Kulp decided to sell Fomo to Relay Commerce in a lucrative exit.
