This is a recording from a show I did recently for SoulfulHouseDJs in the UK.My friend Will Nice has a slot on Sundays and asked me to cover for a couple of weeks. Two became three and this mix is from the third show. The show was at 9pm Sunday night in Sydney where I am, but only 12pm Sunday lunchtime in the UK. As a result the mix stays very much on the soulful, vocal vibe out of respect. There were one or two technical issues during the show as it was a live stream on Mixcloud. I was scrambling about checking things and moving cameras in between mixes. Luckily you can't tell when listening to the mix, although there are more naked beats than I would have liked.Big thank you to everyone that came down to Larry's Herd at the Lord Roberts on Sunday. It was such a great vibe and I really enjoyed spinning vinyl for everyone. Next event is mid August, check out the Larry's Herd FB page for more details.Tracklisting:1: Jazzy Point - Give A Little Love (Extended Mix)2: Delano Smith ft Diamondancer - A Message For The DJ (DJ Jimpster Red Light Rmx)3: Osunlade - Momma's Groove (Jimpsters Slipped Disc Mix)4: Osunlade - Momma's Groove (Jimpsters Hip Replacement Mix)5: River Ocean ft India - Love & Happiness (Junior Boys Own Super Dub)6: Hardrive - Deep Inside (Mr. V Sole Channel Remix)7: Fuminori Kagajo ft Adeola Ranson - Piece Of Heaven (Sean McCabe Dub Mix)8: Soul Vision ft Joe Adams - Don't Stop (Distance Music Rmx)9: Avery Sunshine - Ugly Part Of Me (Terry Hunter BANG)10: Nocturnal DJs ft Backroom Congregation - Fall On Me11: Rhemi - Hairy Mary12: Logistix, Deon Nathan - I Feel (Souldynamic Mix)13: DJ Moreese - Pulsar14: The Journey Men, Hanlei - Feeling Myself15: Moonrocket, Re-Tide, LauMii - Chocolate16: Conan Liquid - Fly Away (Cohemian Rhapsody Mix)17: Shur-I-Khan - Strings, Beats, Life18: Envee - Brotherman Pt.1Enjoy!
So if you thought I could talk underwater, I've found my match. Lily and Tom, From Hullbot.com share their amazing story with me in this two-part series. I found this conversation absolutely fascinating as we take a glimpse of the not so-distant future of the benefits technology has in the marine industry. Hullbot is an underwater drone.....yep underwater drone. A bit like the creepy crawly for your backyard pool, this robot enables marine vessels to clean early and often, reducing drag and saving fuel. It's application for the 12 million boats around the world takes out the danger and the physical effort required to clean the hull of a boat - whilst in the water. Now if you head back to the episodes where I talk about the importance of maintenance with Jess Gatt from Logistix who provides innovative solutions for protection & prevention of corrosion in the marine environment or Nona Pederson formerly the 26-year-old General Manager of Propspeed and now the co-founder of YESSS marine services, and of course the most recent research, Propel Our Future from ICOMIA, and the interview with Darren Vaux, This low-cost hardware, and a platform architecture are core to a technology roadmap of agile robotics that will improve ocean health. And that is exciting. Just another example of the kind of careers and direction within the boating and marine industry people can explore. Stay tuned as Episode 2 from Lily and Tom will be out soon. www.hullbot.com www.theboatprincess.com

Really excited to bring you todays show as we have with us Will Robins Will owns and operates WRGolf Coaching based in Sacramento County, CA and is the CEO of Robins Golf Logistix (RGX), a consulting company that mentors instructors on coaching programs. Through RGX, Will trains over 80 coaches worldwide on how to implement programs that accelerate and guarantee results for their students while doubling their teaching / coaching revenue. A native of the United Kingdom, Will came to the United States to play college golf in Monterey, California, after graduation with his BBA in Marketing and Management from Northwood University in Florida in 2000. Will played on the mini tours around America before sustaining injuries in the 2004 Thailand Tsunami while on his honeymoon with his wife, Amanda. These injuries led Will to coach the game of golf and Will quickly understood most of his students came to him not enjoying the game and overthinking to the point of frustration. Will took his playing skills and life-changing experience to create an instructional program that would guarantee players results and inspire them to love the game of golf again. We got the chance to discuss: How the Tsunami changed everything Literally on the brink of death Will said: ‘I am going to die FIGHTING' His story is compelling Fighting back from disaster The route to a new career To go from PLAYING to COACHING Looking at coaching from a different perspective What REALLY makes a DIFFERENCE? As Will says: ‘You don't have a golf swing problem you have a tension problem' How lowering expectations can massively reduce TENSION Having FUN on the golf course PLAYING the game of golf How destructive the search for swing perfection is and more importantly what to do about it Will has been brave enough to coach from a completely different perspective An inspiration to us all Enjoy the session To find out more about Will Robins go to www.willrobins.com If you are a coach and want to find out about Will's mentorship program go to http://www.wrgolf.com/coaches/198 To book your Mind Factor workshop go to www.themindfactor.com

As we focus on Joy this month, we felt it was a great opportunity to release Alisha's conversation with Indiana State University Associate Professor Kent Games at NATA 2019. He is an Athletic Training colleague who is a consistent contributor to dialogue around the topics of joy and fulfillment. In this discussion, they cover finding your why, focusing on mindset and selfcare, whilst challenging the status quo. Music by Mr. Logistix (@https://soundcloud.com/buuk_werm (buuk_werm)).
Back in February, there was an article released by the https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/colleges/proposed-legislation-would-give-maryland-college-athletes-the-right-to-unionize/2019/02/07/d3f80368-2b0c-11e9-984d-9b8fba003e81_story.html?utm_term=.826168221b3e (Washington Post) that explained that the state of Maryland has proposed a bill that would give athletes the right to unionize and collectively bargain over issues related to health and safety, as well as compensation. This was as a result of the death of Jordan McNair. This is not only relevant to our previous bonus episode on the Maryland case itself, but it also is an area of expertise for Tammi Gaw MS ATC Esq. in her practice of law. We thought it would be advantageous to discuss the details of unionization and what it means for players to form a union and how it may impact the Athletic Trainer's work with them. Tammi has been gracious enough to share some serious insight and wisdom on this topic. As a result, we should all be more well informed and be able to speak to the subject more intelligently as things progress. Music by Mr. Logistix (@https://soundcloud.com/buuk_werm (buuk_werm)). 2013 May "En Mai fais ce qu'il te plaît!" French Proverb which literally means " In May do what pleases you".. Today is my birthday and I am stuck at home with a massive head cold.. Thought I would give myself a little present and put together a set JUST FOR ME... A collection of deep, cookie, eclectic tunes, which I would hate to forget and lose in the dark recesses of my hard drive because they do not fit the strict format of Deep, Soulful, Progressive of this podcast. So here it is, jams I like, sounds I want to be able to access in the distant future, tracks that may not have the vocal hooks I love, yet trigger emotions at a complete different level. If you do not want to indure a bit of tech, a bit of deep, a bit of NY style, a bit of garage, a bit of acid, a bit of jackin' do not bother with the set and wait for the next one.. I am not inferring that those tunes are "better", just that on my birthday I may do what pleases .. ME.. Playlist: 2009 Intro I Feel Good. Roland Clark 2013 Where Did You Go (AtJazz Remix). Shea 2013 On To You. Golf Clap 2013 NY 2 UK (James Dexter Mix). DeepCitySoul & DJ Romain 2013 I Saw Yo Girl (Full Acid Vox Edit). Waifs & Strays 2013 Pieces Garage Mix. Flashmob featuring Laila Walker 2013 New York Style (Elias Tzikas Remix). Jerk House Connection 2013 Be Right There. Waze & Odyssey 2013 All I Have Is Love (Steve Mill & Elias Tzikas Remix). Zaki feat. Andre Espeut 2012 Let It Go (Daviddance Remix). Armchair Generals 2013 What you Need (Original Mix). DJ Fudge 2013 Another Way (Grant Nelson Remix). Golf Clap 2013 My Urban Soul (Black Sonix Retro Groove Mix). DJ Roland Clark pres. Urban Soul 2013 The Whistle Song (Supernova Remix). Frankie Knuckles & Director’s Cut 2013 I Feel (Samson Lewis Remix). Logistix pres. Deon Nathan Highlights: Not sure Highlights is going to cut it but a better option is to comment as to why I included a specific track: “Where Did You Go” Shea and Marcel Atjazz, need I say more.. Lovelly little intro track. “On To You”. Golf Clap, is “very hot right now ;)” deep, great work on the beats and the production yet melodic. “NY 2 UK”.. Do I love the undergroove? Yes add some accapellas and everyone who knows me, gets the idea.. Very current, real Deep, edgy, funky… “I Saw Yo Girl” I always have had a thing for Hip/Hop.. Edgy track with an acid tinge.. “Pieces” Flashmob is becoming bigger by the day.. and I love the acapella with the brit accent.. Another edgy track, which may really push your limits. “New York Style” Jerk House Connection French and really good.. I love the NY feel, I love the reggae vocals.. and it stays melodic. “Be Right There”.. Current, modern, hatched beats had to included a bit of Jackin’ House in this set.. “All I Have Is Love” continuing the darker NY feel with a greek remixer Elias Tzikas. “Let It Go” Deep Tech House at its very best.. I wanted a wake up track with a nice groove at this moment in the set.. This came up.. “What you need” now in the back part of the set, introducing a bit a bit of funk and sugar.. “Another Way” another Golf Clap track with Grant Nelson’s giving it a UK feel.. If you have stayed with me so far, you are starting to have fun!! “My Urban Soul”.. Roland Clark, Urban Soul.. Bringing you down but how can I resist… “The Whistle Song” Frankie Knuckles seminal classic gets the Supernova remix treatment. I love it and perfect to get ready to exit the set.. “I Feel (Samson Lewis Remix)” I absolutely love this track, deep, groovy funky and I simply had to give anyone who actually stayed with me on this set a big dollup of sugar at the end.. Next one will be less introspective I promise.. Happy Birthday to Me Xtian

March 2013 Light n’ Easy Mixed on the fly at 30,000 ft on CX 134 bound for Hong Kong. As the title alludes, easy listening Deep and Soulful set. If I think about it, Light n’ Easy is my first real 2013 mix. I had let accumulated 26 hours of recently purchased tunes on my hard drive and the task of sieving through the sheer mass was daunting. With 8 and half hours spare flying to HK, I knew I had a chance to listen, categorize, rate, level all those tunes.. From there it was just a short step to open Traktor and let the set flow wherever the mood and tunes would take me.. Done on the fly, it is patchy but the result has unity and its own flavour. It is Light n’Easy.. Random Soul, Australian talent, is heavily promoted and they fully deserve the focus. There are a couple of older tracks offered by DJ Remixers and the set fluctuates from happy, beachy house to deeper soulful tunes. Playlist: 2012 Watching You (Yogi's RSR Boogie Mix). Random Soul 2013 Only You (Soledrifter Dub) [Xtian we the Beat Drop Edit feat Seductive Sapphire]. Alvarez & Marck Jamz 2013 Love Me Right (Seb Skalski & Masta P Remix) {Xtian Edit]. Random Soul feat.Kristen Pearson 2013 Mysterious (Richard Earnshaw Vocal). Random Soul 2011 Every Breath You Take (Scott Wozniak Remix) . Police feat. Sting 2013 Tell Me Now (The Layabouts Vocal Mix). The Layabouts feat. Portia Monique 2013 I Feel (Original Mix). Logistix pres. Deon Nathan 2012 Have Mercy (Original Mix). Matthias Heilbronn 2013 The Secret Life Of Us (Director's Cut Signature Mix) {Xtian House is a feeling Edit feat. Musicdans] . Joey Negro and The Sunburst Band, Donna Gardier, Diane Charlemagne 2013 Only Love (Main Vocal Mix) {Xtian I Feel Good Edit feat Roland Clark]. Monocles & Slezz with Andy Compton feat. Tantra Zawadi & Dana Byrd 2010 Whats Going On-Jask Tribute Mix [Xtian Slowed Down Groove] . Marvin Ft. MLK 2012 Missing Dreams (DJ Mumbles Mashup). Jask & Nikos Diamantopoulos vs. Everything But The Girl 2013 Someone Like You (Full Vocal Mix). Soulmagic Highlights: “Only You” by Alvarez & Marck Jamz, I am keeping the best remix of this release for a later date but great tune well worth buying. “Mysterious.”. Random Soul AND Richard Earnshaw.. nothing more to say. “Tell Me Now” by The Layabouts feat. Portia Monique.. Portia has and amazing voice and the Layabouts do what they always do pure perfection. “I Feel” by Logistix pres. Deon Nathan, a soulful gem, which other better remix I could not use because .. I just could not find the beat and refused to auto synch it in order to preserve the integrity of the tune for another set. From “Have Mercy” to “Only Love” and “What’s Going On” we are at the congruence of Classic and Modern Soulful House. As for “Someone Like You”, one of the best release of 2012, I just had to give you the pleasure of enjoying the very recently released tFull Vocal Mix.. Two little gems offered by DJs.. “Every Breath You Take” and the “Missing/Dreams” mash-up.. very clever. Full respect and gratitude to the Woz and Jask Enjoy and be kind, this was really done on the fly and uploaded a few hours after. Next one.. we a bit of luck I will continue the Nocturnes Serie Xtian
