IMPATIENCE PERFECTIONISM FIXATING ON STRUGGLES because our wins were never enough Hit a point where what you know you SHOULD do is also against what you THINK you should do So doing less, eating more is scary so you keep sabotaging yourself on your way there __ Being afraid to lose your leanness Especially if you had a history of being over weight & not being confident and trying hard to get there (mostly doing dumbshit) Sense of control that you can finally wear whatever you want and you didnt want to go back to it Scared to let go of control That the identity and perception of self is centered around there Fear of success - Oh no, now what… Mum making comments Anyone else judging other people Thoughts are not truths Feelings are not facts We may feel they are because we shape those around our upbringing and old beliefs But it takes alot of work to break those beliefs When your cognitive load is very high and you have all these thoughts in your brain you have little room for logic to happen This is why will power and discipline & motivation fall through You need to act as if and write as with and truly belief it and visualise it and then act in that way - Patience Overeating, self soothing, perfectionist & avoiding emotions Over analysing Wont take action at all If you are not taking action because you don't think youre going to be perfect then you arent even putting yourself up there to go out there How is that serving you if you arent allowing yourself Quell unsettling emotions You have a problem with yourself but wont do anything about it Now you have guilt and shame Now it leaks into other Alcohol Path of least resistance - not face it and 1- celebrate wins - its your evidence for when you are doing well Its showing you that you are capable Hey look at me making these changes you can do it Always write down at least 1 win ever single day, you will always find something in there and if you cant… youll start creating the reality of making them

How much stuff are you missing out on by focusing on the outcome NO reverse diet is the same thing “reverse diet” is semantics playing with “maintenance” The game changes for some people who have yoyo dieted, especially as a woman, especially if you aren't 25-30 years old anymore You can crash diet once in your life and things will never be the same again Stop digging a bigger grave with a bigger price to pay with your dieting approach. We do the best we can with what we know in the moment so we have to forgive ourselves to be able to breakfree tides are turning Don't compare yourself to someone whos been able to do it for longer than you Who has been through the waves. Everyone looks for the out claus from the get go Its not looking for cheat meals anymore But it's a mental out Track = awareness ---- I can Passion Hobby Social connection Relationships Theres so much I need to do All these expectations Mums putting pressure on themselves to be everything for everyone
We cant predict outcomes but we can ensure that doing the little things pay off How having a goal weight holds you back How focusing on a weight can set you back How calories in calories out shouldnt be looked at at one solo concept because there are alot of things that impact that How not getting your mindset right first can set you up for failure Importance of protein, rest days and health phases I do all the right things why is my body not doing what it used to - How not wanting to “stop” dieting is holdiing you back “Fall off track” “Fitness journey” Puberty Lost the weight - felt more confident I want to look like these guys - Tides are starting to turn ___ Instagram is the new magazines now But we still hold onto the identity of a dieter and we have developed such a toxic relationship with scales Foundation of muscle to begin with GUT HEALTH You need to let go of limiting beliefs - be willing to ask for help - trust the process and let go of the reigns Go all in not all or nothing. Go all in and let go of all the chains of limiting beliefs What is life going to look like Fear of unknown People find it so hard to imagine the unknown Fear of changing relationships - Maintenance & restraint find marci here : @Marcinevin And ruby here: @transformxruby

In this interview with Marci Nevin, we talk all things health, nutrition, fitness, healing yourself, mindfulness, self-discovery and all that evolves when we are on that path towards growth. When we are unhappy in our own lives and bodies, it can be easy to use food and exercise to feel better about yourself, though that may only solve a very small piece of where we are stuck. Marci’s bio: Marci is a health and wellness coach in Northern California. For the past 12 years she has worked with clients both in person and online, empowering them to rewrite the stories that no longer serve them and overcome the limiting beliefs that hold them back from becoming the best versions of themselves. From a young age, Marci struggled with poor body image and low self worth, which manifested as disordered eating and exercise addiction later in life. She was always searching for something outside herself to make her feel whole and complete, not realizing that what she really needed was within her all along. As a result, she developed and autoimmune disease and additional health issues that compromised her quality of life. After years of struggling to get answers through traditional doctors, she began the journey of learning how to heal her body, mind, and spirit holistically. Today, Marci believes that self care, stress management, and daily mindset practices, along with proper nutrition and intelligent strength training, are at the foundation of people becoming their most authentic selves. She is passionate about sharing these tools to help others heal from their struggles so they can live balanced, fulfilled lives.
