It's time for Luke Pennock & Brendan Flaherty to review episode 169 and 170 of ECW, from July 16th & 23rd, 1996. Discussed: our quarter-life podcast crisis, watching Casino at a hotel, the pathology of the forbidden, what the term "short King" has accomplished, Undertaker's new energy drink "Tiger Hips", and more (let's be honest, you stopped reading this 15 seconds ago). And there's a big announcement around the 28:00 mark. And if anyone has any questions about the whole Tommy Cairo thing, you might want to binge this whole series. After a wandering preamble I take a look at the new Napoleon movie, should historical movies try and be accurate? Where does the line end between artistic license and open culture war propaganda, or the rewriting of history? Does it ultimately matter? This week on The Commentary Booth Jamie is joined by Blake Robinson to review Ridley Scott's latest masterpiece, Napoleon, featuring the enigmatic Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role.Napoleon a pseudo-biopic is an epic that details Napoleon Bonaparte's checkered rise, fall & relentless journey to power. In doing so, the film cements why the term "Napoleon Complex" is common in modern-day vernacular. To conclude the episode we dig in to discuss the balance between historical accuracy & creative liberties by pinpointing some of the film's biggest inaccuracies.Check out more great content from Pario Magazine on our website: www.pariomagazine.com.au-------------------------------------------------------------SUPPORT PARIO MAGAZINE & THE COMMENTARY BOOTH - PATREON- BUY MERCH- AMAZON PRIME VIDEO- Subscribe to AEW Plus using my code (q0yydoz) to earn $10 in FITE credit MY EQUIPMENT - Elgato Facecam- Rode PodMic- Elgato Wave Mic Arm LP - Riverside.fm FOLLOW JAMIE ON SOCIAL MEDIA - Twitter- Facebook- Instagram- TikTokFOLLOW PARIO MAGAZINE ON SOCIAL MEDIA - Twitter- Facebook - Instagram

Our world today is filled with so much information. Broadcast media, the internet, and books are everywhere. There is more information at our fingertips today than ever before. But, it might be a mistake to mistake a plethora of information for facts or truth –“Not everything you find on the internet is true” – I believe that's a quote from Napoleon Bonaparte that I found on the internet. I'm sure you remember Napoleon – that short French guy who liked to pose with his right hand stuffed into his tunic (I always wondered if that was a persistent itch or an upset stomach). He even has a mental affliction named after him – The Napoleon Complex – the popular belief that short guys tend to overcompensate for being small by being domineering and aggressive. Well – Napoleon stood at about 5' 7”. Just below the current average height for men in today's world, in his time was considered above the average height of 5' 4” to 5' 6”. That's just one Truth That's Myth. Listen and find out a few more.

0:09: This is the game where we find out about the Flurona. Where a Fox has travelled West to seek Kayne, and no it's not Kim. Where T-Pain tells aspiring artists how to promote their music. And where Jason Derulo will lay hands on you if you think he looks like Usher.9:14: Takeoff (Intro)10:47: We kick things off with showing love to the newest albums that Nas and Rick Ross are distributing out here on these streets. Which one is the better album? I don't think we answer that lol. But we do get the speculation on why a Black Mayor puts a Black Police Chief in Little Rock Arkansas is on administrative leave after shooting at a suspect who shot and injured someone. Is this proper protocol? Jerz, Co Pro Smartz and The Pilot discuss.23:11: Antonio Brown. Once a Top Ten WR in the 2010-2020 era, is now the posterchild for immaturity. However, is his man-child presentation good ol' fashioned NFL WR Diva-ness? Or is he the product of what the aftermath of CTE can be when a football player's only way to make money, is to profit from the pain of the NFL.38:40: Who is Kevin Corke? He's a Black American Journalist on Fox News who thinks it's cool to use his Melanin to speak on Vaccination Hesitation in urban communities. The Pilot and Jerz get out the way to let Co Pro Smartz dismantle Kevin. We love you though brother, But c'mon Fox News?! lol 49:01: We discuss Poly Family Dynamics through the lens of Cult leader J.D. and his stable of men and women in the state of Texas. J.D is the leader of a polyamorous faction whose music business, S4TF (Somethin' 4 Tha Fellas) has grossed 300,000 bucks in 2020/2021 but is that enough for 9 adults and children to live off of. And why be poly in the first place? Sounds like a broke person's sexual and pyramid scheme desire to go poly if you ask us. But if you do poly, keep poly'n. No hate here.59:57: This segment is called "Lil Help" where the Pilot, gives a unique perspective to the Fun-Size Smurf-Americans. On this episode, the Pilot dismantles the Napoleon Complex. Charles Schmid was known as many things - a trickster, a liar, an egomaniac. He never worked and instead he survived off of handouts from his parents. He also thought himself to be quite the womanizer. Yet, standing at just 5 feet 3 inches tall, Schmid fit the colloquial idea of the “Napoleon Complex,” making up for his feelings of inferiority due to his height with boisterous, outrageous claims. One night he was on such a roll that he claimed he wanted to kill a girl. It wouldn’t be long until Schmid boasted about murdering 3 young girls and police would finally catch the Pied Piper of Tucson.
