On November 6, 2025, I spoke with Dr. Jason O'Connor about the behavioral and psychological effects of inflammation, and their similarity to depression. Jason explained how inflammation can produce those symptoms by increasing levels of kynurenine and metabolites in the brain. We discussed the possibility that depression may sometimes result from a rise in those metabolites in the absence of inflammation.Guest:Jason O'Connor, Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the UT San Antonio Long School of Medicine and the Audie Murphy VA Hospital.Host:Charles Wilson, Department of Neuroscience, Developmental and Regenerative Biology, UT San AntonioThanks to James Tepper for original music

Jason O' Toole has sat down for 40 + hours of interviews with one of Ireland's most notorious criminals, drugs traffickerJohn Gilligan. The result was a gripping and facasinating book called "The Gilligan Tapes" and a 3 part documentary which is airing now.I spoke to Jason about how the their initial meeting came about in 2008 when he interviewed Gilligan in a maximum security prison and how this would eventually led to his most recent project.I asked Jason if he feels he knows Gilligan as a man after all this time, whether he's a psychopath or not, if he genuinely feels remorse for this past crimes and how honest Jason felt Gilligan was being with him. Welcome to the Lovecars On The Grid podcast, where Tiff Needell and Paul Woodman bring us another motorsport update with a roundup of events from around the World! The British Superbikes event held at the iconic Thruxton circuit showcased the perfect blend of skill and speed. With riders pushing the limits of their machines, the hairpin turns and sweeping straights of Thruxton provided an unforgettable spectacle. Top contenders battled for supremacy, maneuvering through the track's challenging sections with precision. The event not only thrilled the on-site attendees but also engaged a global audience of motorsport enthusiasts. In the end, it was Jason O'Halloran with the win. The undulating tracks of Knockhill played host to the British Touring Cars championship, delivering edge-of-the-seat action to motorsport aficionados. The tight corners and rapid elevation changes demanded exceptional driving skills and strategic prowess from competitors. As racing icons vied for the championship title, the Knockhill event became a proving ground for both established and emerging talents in the touring car racing scene. MB Motorsport's Jake Hill had yet another win! Indianapolis, known for its racing legacy, witnessed the thunderous roars of NASCAR machines. The high-speed oval racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway left spectators awe-inspired as drivers reached mind-boggling speeds on the straightaways, while skillfully navigating the challenges posed by the tight turns. Michael McDowell took the win at Indianapolis. Indianapolis also played host to Indycar this weekend, where Alex Palou led the pack.

Welcome to the Lovecars On The Grid motorsport podcast! Tiff Needell and Paul Woodman bring us another roundup of motorsport of events from the past week. Formula 1 was sadly cancelled in Italy, due to flooding in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy. Our thoughts are with the families affected. We had Indycar and NASCAR in America, Superformula in Japan, Supercars in Australia, the 24 hours of the Nurburgring, the Formula 1 academy, plus British Superbikes and BTCC at home in the UK! Kicking off with Indycar at Indianopolis, where we had lots of drama. Felix Rosenqvist took the win, with Alexander Rossi and Alex Palou in 2nd and 3rd place. The NASCAR All Star race took place at North Wilkesboro, where Kyle Larson nabbed the $1 million prize. Liam Lawson is leading the points in the 2023 Superformula Series in Japan. Could Lawson come into Formula 1 from here? In Australia, we had the Supercars, where the Camaros had the podiums in all three races. At the 24 hours of the Nurburgring, we had a non-German team winning for the first time in 23 years. Driver David Pittard brought the Ferrari over the line for the Winner. Formula 1 Academy ladies were driving in Barcelona, where Lena Buhler took the win in Spain. Snetterton saw the British Touring Car Championship racing this weekend. With huge, motorcycle curbs, Ash Sutton continues to run away with the championship in his Ford Focus ST, followed closely by Tom Ingram and Colin Turkington. It was a Yamaha weekend at Donington Park for the British Superbikes, as Kyle Ryde won the sprint race and race 3, whilst Jason O'Halloran won the 2nd race. There was Caterham racing in Croft in the UK, as the Caterham Academy continues their Championship. Silverstone also saw the Citroen C1 24 hour race, which was highly exciting! The last 13 minutes of the race saw contract between the top two drivers, resulting in drive through penalties, changing the result of the race. Next weekend sees the return of the spectacular Monaco Grand Prix! NASCAR is at Charlotte and BTCC at Donington!

Harris, shares with us how he views failure in the rear view mirror and how that has helped him lead, innovate and move forward. He also shares how leading is more about leaning out to listen than leaning in to speak, the importance of collaboration with like minded individuals, and why it's so easy to sabotage your own success. He also shares an incredible story of innovation as a commander in the US Air Force, in having to learn to fly a plane based on entirely new technology, and leading others to embrace the change too.
