Here's a sobering statistic that'll make you rethink everything about your Black Friday strategy: 80% of Black Friday customers never purchase from the same brand again. Let that sink in for a moment. Four out of five people who bought from you during your biggest sales event of the year will never come back. But here's the thing – it doesn't have to be this way. How do you ensure those new customers don't just disappear into the ether, never to be seen again? In this episode, I'm going to share a framework with you that transforms Black Friday bargain hunters into your most valuable long-term customers. Because here's what most brands get completely wrong – they think Black Friday is about sales volume. But for premium brands, Black Friday should be about customer acquisition. The real money isn't made during the sale; it's made in the months that follow. I'm going to walk you through what I call an "Advocate Activation Framework" – a systematic approach to turning one-time Black Friday buyers into passionate brand advocates who not only buy repeatedly but become your most powerful marketing asset. Welcome back to the Hosting Hotline! This is an Ask Me Anything where each week we'll answer your questions on Airbnb, STRs, real estate, and everything in between.Chrissy asks:Hi Annette and Sarah. This is Chrissy, the host of the Costelli Corner, a Scandinavian themed Airbnb in East Nashville. First, I want to thank you both for the thanks for visiting podcast. You both were huge help in our first year as hosts, helping us hit milestones. Like superhero status and ranking in the top 1 in our area. So, our question stems from a remodel we are doing in our Airbnb finishing this space to include a second room, which we're outfitting with a twin bed, a trundle, and an office setup. This allows us to market the property as a two-bedroom, one bath space, ideal for small families or workers or musicians. We're thinking of offering the space as a flexible parent child model where the full two-bedroom parent listing and a one-bedroom child listing for smaller groups. This way we could prioritize booking the two-bedroom but still open up availability for the one-bedroom option if we see fewer bookings coming in the full space. So, our question is about the best way to approach this change on the Airbnb platform. Should we update our current listing to the two-bedroom layout so we can retain our reviews and momentum and create a brand-new listing for the one-bedroom option? Is there a best practice for transitioning a listing like this while maximizing flexibility and maintaining a momentum to yield the best results? We'd love your advice. Thanks. It was the race when McLaren's Lando Norris closed the gap a little to the championship leader - Red Bull's Max Verstappen. It was the race when Max, for his part, incurred two ten second penalties for his over-zealous driving. It was the race when Norris beautifully beat Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in the closing stages. And it was, withal, the race in which Ferrari's Carlos Sainz started from the pole and basically dominated throughout. His was a classic, classy win - a faultless win in which he even had the perspicacity, on the opening lap, to relinquish the lead to Max after effectively passing him off-track. No matter. Carlos ten minutes later made the clean pass going into Turn One. From then on, his was a race of defence - initially against Max, then against his team-mate, Leclerc, and then, finally, against a fast-closing Norris. Under pressure, Sainz made no mistakes. Which is all the more astonishing given that Ferrari will shortly be dumping Sainz in favour of Sir Lewis Hamilton. No front-line driver in the history of the sport, as Peter says in this podcast, has had to endure that sort of abandonment - not throughout the season long, not when they are still capable of upstaging the other driver AND winning races.Enjoy Peter's podcast, then - from the beginning of untimed practice on Friday, when both Leclerc and Norris were obliged to vacate their seats for newer drivers, to the dramatic, closing moments of a famous Sainz victory. The possibility of drivers dying by suicide on the track has long been acknowledged, sometimes alleged, but seldom proven. It remains a forbidden topic, because drivers are unwilling to admit any weakness, much less depression. The case of Pete Kreis, however, offers an opportunity to examine a case which resulted in two purposeful deaths at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Pete raced at Indy from 1925 to 1934, when he and his riding mechanic died in Turn One. A “coroners' jury” of Indy drivers, track officials, and other experts could not identify any obvious cause for the accident, calling it “the strangest death in all racing history.” After 50 years of research, Walker reached the conclusion that Pete took his own life. The results of his investigation were published in The Last Lap: The Mysterious Demise of Pete Kreis in the Indianapolis 500 (Octane Press, 2023). A long-time fan of open-wheel racing, William T. Walker Jr. was introduced to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Indy 500 by the broadcasts of Sid Collins. He grew fascinated by the careers of his cousins Pete Kreis and Rex Mays, both Indy drivers. He earned his BA and MA from the University of Virginia. After teaching at Lamar University and the University of New Orleans, he served as associate vice president at Virginia Tech, Gettysburg College, and William & Mary. Since retiring, Walker has returned to an enduring love — researching and writing narrative history books. His first book was Betrayal at Little Gibraltar, a study of a World War I battle published by Scribner in 2016, followed by The Last Lap, the story of the fast lap and strange death of Pete Kreis. ===== (Oo---x---oO) ===== The Motoring Podcast Network : Years of racing, wrenching and Motorsports experience brings together a top notch collection of knowledge, stories and information. #everyonehasastory #gtmbreakfix - motoringpodcast.net More Information: https://www.motoringpodcast.net/ Become a VIP at: https://www.patreon.com/ Online Magazine: https://www.gtmotorsports.org/
