Content creation for musicians is loud, confusing, and honestly exhausting. One person says post more. Another says post less. One says follow trends. Another says never follow trends. So in this episode, we pulled 9 of our favorite videos about content for artists and broke down the real lesson behind each one.We talk about reposting old songs, batching content, getting over the fear of posting, using Trial Reels, creating emotional connection instead of “out now” posts, and doubling down when something finally works. After each lesson, we also give artists a simple homework assignment they can actually use this week.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━EPISODE HOMEWORK9 principles. 3 steps each. I talk to Zoe Ellis-Moore from Spaces to Places, a company that specialises in helping businesses in the flexible office sector. We talk about the importance of branding and marketing for businesses that want to scale beyond one location, and explore the challenges and considerations for businesses starting out with one location and the need to establish a strong brand identity. KEY TAKEAWAYS When starting out with one location, it is still important to consider branding. Understanding your audience and their needs is crucial, even at the early stages. Developing a strong brand becomes even more important when scaling beyond one location. Consider the format and unique selling propositions (USPs) of your brand to differentiate yourself from competitors. Documenting processes and creating a playbook can help streamline operations and ensure consistency as you grow. This includes having a clear brand message and using boilerplate copy to communicate effectively. In rural areas or locations with less competition, there may be more opportunities to share your brand's personality and connect with the local community. Utilise signage, partnerships, and social proof to establish your presence and build trust with potential customers. BEST MOMENTS "It's always brand to sales, that's what we're trying to do." "First impressions count so much in this industry." "The biggest lesson is pre-sales with office space or flex office, even co-working, telling people it's coming in advance." "Differentiation can be your client type or your price point as well." What are the TOP 10 Movies set in one location? From grizzly stories like Reservoir Dogs to cult favs like the Breakfast club, find out now! ►Love movie content? Then subscribe to our channel https://www.youtube.com/@TheSilverScreenDudes?sub_confirmation=1 HERE'S HOW THE SHOW WORKS: Hosts, Aj and Nico each get assigned a topic, we go our separate ways to compile our individual TOP 10 lists on a new Movie topic each week. Then we rejoin to count down our individual lists where one person delivers their bottom 3 movies, then the other delivers their bottom 3. Then the original person delivers his next two, then the other person their next two. When we reach the top 5s on our list, we bounce back and forth and trade one a-piece. If at any time we are counting down our lists, one person has a movie in a higher position that person will say " PUNT" and we will then talk about that movie when we get to the higher position. Once both of our TOP 10 lists have been counted, we create the "Movie Mount Rushmore": these are the 4 quintessential, diverse, must see-see movies of the topic each week. In Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester, two simultaneous organised protests are taking place very close to one another at the same time in the spring of 2022. The protests are about completely different things - one is a pro-Imran Khan rally by the Pakistani community, and the second a protest against the war in Ukraine, organised by the Ukrainian community. The protests are not competing, and there's plenty of space for both to have their say, co-existing in the peaceful right to freedom of speech alongside one another. In this recording, we move first from the Imran Khan rally and then on to the Ukrainian protest, so you can hear both, as well as the transition in the short walk between the two.
