Segundo Renato Citrini, gerente sênior de Produto da Samsung, as vendas de dobráveis da marca cresceram 150% no Brasil entre 2024 e 2026. A empresa também afirma responder por oito de cada dez aparelhos dobráveis vendidos no país. Em entrevista ao Podcast Canaltech, Citrini explica o que mudou desde a chegada do primeiro Galaxy Fold, em 2019, e por que fatores como espessura, resistência e durabilidade foram importantes para aumentar a aceitação desse tipo de aparelho. On this week's episode of The MacRumors Show, we discuss Samsung's new Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone and how it could compare to Apple's upcoming foldable iPhone. Samsung this week introduced the Galaxy Z TriFold, its first smartphone with two folding sections instead of one. When unfolded, the device presents a 10-inch screen, while the cover display measures 6.5 inches. Samsung says it has minimized visible creasing across the panels. The Galaxy Z TriFold uses an inward-folding design intended to protect the main display. The folding mechanism has been engineered with an alert system that notifies users if the device is being folded incorrectly. Samsung is using a titanium Armor FlexHinge with two differently sized hinges joined by a dual-rail structure. According to the company, this enables a smoother and more stable fold despite uneven panel weight distribution, and increases durability thanks to a thin metal reinforcement that protects the hinge assembly. A third of the unfolded display measures 3.9mm thick, increasing slightly around the triple-lens camera module. The center display section is 4.2mm thick, while the segment containing the side button is 4mm. The device includes a reinforced overcoat atop a shock-absorbing display layer for impact resistance, and an aluminum frame prevents the screens from coming into contact when closed. Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Z TriFold with a 5,600 mAh three-cell battery, with one cell behind each display panel. The company says this is the largest battery it has ever used in a smartphone. The rear camera system includes a 200-megapixel wide camera, a 12-megapixel ultra wide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Two 10-megapixel selfie cameras are integrated into the cover display and the main display. The Galaxy Z TriFold supports three portrait-layout apps running side-by-side, multi-window resizing, full-screen video viewing, and a vertical reading mode. Samsung has also added standalone Samsung DeX, enabling up to four workspaces with five apps active simultaneously. Samsung apps have been optimized for the triple-panel layout, and Google's Gemini Live has been optimized as well. The Galaxy Z TriFold launches in Korea on December 12, followed by China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the UAE. It will arrive in the United States in the first quarter of 2026. Pricing has not yet been announced. Meanwhile, recent rumors suggest that Apple's first foldable ‌iPhone‌ will feature an industry-first 24-megapixel under-display camera for the inner display, as well as a Samsung-supplied OLED panel, virtually no crease, a hybrid titanium and aluminum frame, and a 5,400–5,800 mAh battery. Analyst estimates currently place pricing at around $2,400. The device is only expected to include two rear cameras, unlike the TriFold and all of Samsung's book-style foldables. Apple will likely use a wide and an ultra-wide camera, similar to the iPhone 17, while reserving a telephoto camera for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. Early information also suggests it will also not be as thin as Samsung's Galaxy Fold 7. Fuentes cercanas aseguran que Samsung planea un lanzamiento global, impulsado por su confianza en el diseño y potencia de su primer móvil con tres pliegues.  Samsung va a presentar su primer teléfono con pantalla de tres pliegues, y ya no será exclusivo de Asia. Nuevos reportes confirman que el Galaxy Z TriFold saldrá también en Emiratos Árabes Unidos y posiblemente en Estados Unidos. Esto cambia las expectativas: un producto que parecía limitado podría ser el primer tri-fold realmente global. La presentación podría ocurrir en el foro APEC, en Corea, entre el 31 de octubre y el 1 de noviembre. La fecha de lanzamiento apunta al cierre de octubre, junto al foro APEC en Gyeongju, Corea del Sur.  Durante meses, los rumores indicaban que el Galaxy Z TriFold sería exclusivo para Corea y China. Esa estrategia parecía un paso atrás frente a Huawei, que ya lanzó su Mate XT de 10,2 pulgadas con formato más panorámico. El diseño de Huawei se abre hacia afuera; el de Samsung, hacia adentro en tres partes. Dos filosofías distintas que compiten por dominar el formato plegable del futuro. Motorola y Google también avanzan, apostando por pantallas más duraderas y bisagras sin pliegues visibles. Mientras tanto, los usuarios esperan mejoras en batería, peso y precio. Filtraciones revelan Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 y un misterioso G Fold multifold con dos bisagras internas ¿Traerá también Gemini? Por Félix Riaño @LocutorCo Samsung está a punto de lanzar el Galaxy Z Fold 7, el Flip 7 y, por sorpresa, un nuevo teléfono plegable con doble bisagra interna que muchos ya llaman “Galaxy G Fold”. Imágenes filtradas de sus fundas y animaciones desde One UI 8 muestran que el Fold 7 será más delgado, el Flip 7 tendrá estilos renovados y el G Fold apostará por un diseño multifold nunca antes visto en Samsung. Todo esto justo antes del evento Unpacked del 9 de julio. Samsung prepara una jugada inesperada para el próximo Galaxy Unpacked. Aunque ya se sabían detalles de los Galaxy Z Fold 7 y Flip 7, ahora aparecen indicios de un dispositivo totalmente nuevo: el Galaxy G Fold o “Multifold 7”. Las pistas vienen desde animaciones ocultas en One UI 8 que muestran cómo sería su diseño con doble bisagra, cámaras triples y un despliegue en forma de “G”. Al mismo tiempo, las fundas filtradas de los nuevos plegables revelan decisiones polémicas sobre la compatibilidad con Qi2, el estándar magnético de carga inalámbrica. ¿Por qué Samsung lanzaría un cargador magnético si solo tiene una funda compatible? ¿Y qué tiene de especial ese diseño multifold? No se ha confirmado aún, pero se espera que también los nuevos teléfonos hagan parte de la alianza de Samsung con Google para integrar Gemini Live. Samsung parece emocionado, pero poco convencido con Qi2. Los Galaxy Z Fold 7 y Flip 7 ya tienen fecha de presentación: el 9 de julio en el evento Unpacked. Y aunque aún no se han mostrado oficialmente, las filtraciones ya nos dan pistas clave. En las imágenes de sus fundas oficiales vemos que el Fold 7 será notablemente más delgado que el modelo anterior, incluso con funda puesta. También se han mostrado nuevos estilos como fundas de silicona con o sin agarre, fundas transparentes, e incluso una con “escudo de carbono”. En el caso del Flip 7, la propuesta incluye fundas tipo anillo y otras con apariencia de cuero sintético. Las imágenes también confirman el uso de adhesivos en algunos accesorios, lo que sugiere que no todos están preparados para el estándar Qi2. Y aquí aparece el primer problema: Samsung parece estar adoptando el estándar Qi2 de forma a medias. Qi2 es una tecnología de carga inalámbrica que usa imanes para asegurar una mejor alineación y eficiencia. Apple la usa ampliamente bajo el nombre MagSafe. Pero en las fundas del Galaxy Z Fold 7 y Flip 7, Samsung solo incluye un único modelo compatible con Qi2. El resto de la línea no tiene imanes, lo que limita el aprovechamiento del sistema. A pesar de eso, Samsung sí está preparando un cargador magnético estilo puck, similar al de Apple. ¿Por qué lanzar un accesorio si la mayoría de tus dispositivos no están listos para usarlo? Esa decisión genera confusión y dudas sobre el compromiso real con este nuevo estándar. Ahora bien, la gran sorpresa no son esas fundas, sino el G Fold. Este nuevo modelo no anunciado oficialmente aparece en animaciones del sistema One UI 8, lo que revela que Samsung está desarrollando un dispositivo con dos bisagras internas, que se dobla como una “G”. A diferencia del Huawei Mate XT, que se dobla en forma de “S”, el diseño de Samsung evita dejar pantallas expuestas, algo que mejora la resistencia del equipo. Los paneles laterales cumplen funciones distintas: uno tiene cámaras, otro pantalla y otro sirve como superficie de cierre. Las imágenes muestran alertas para que los usuarios no doblen el dispositivo de forma incorrecta, indicando que los mecanismos son delicados. Este G Fold tendría una pantalla de 10 pulgadas y usaría un procesador Snapdragon 8 Elite. El nuevo G Fold no estaría disponible de inmediato. Informes indican que su producción masiva comenzaría en septiembre y llegaría al mercado a finales de 2025. El precio podría superar los 3.000 dólares, y solo estaría disponible en mercados como Corea del Sur y China. Samsung parece tratar este equipo como una vitrina tecnológica más que como un producto masivo. De hecho, ha usado antes su línea Fold para ensayar conceptos de hardware antes de integrarlos en dispositivos más comunes. Mientras tanto, la línea Galaxy Z sigue siendo el foco principal. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 were launched by the company on Wednesday at its latest Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event. These are Samsung's latest foldable smartphones and come with a custom version of Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and a new Flex Hinge that is designed to be more durable.
