On October 8, 2019, Rosemary Rodriguez's family received a phone call from a concerned co-worker. Rosemary worked at a local Walmart and hadn’t shown up to work and missed her last two shifts. The family immediately became alarmed. Rosemary was a reliable person who would never just blow miss work. For this story I spoke to Rosemary’s lifelong friend Melinda Miller. According to Melinda, Rosemary, her mother and Rosemary’s boyfriend had dinner at a local restaurant. After taking her mother home, Rosemary and her boyfriend left. Rosemary hasn’t been seen again. The family immediately suspected her boyfriend had all the answers since he was the last person to see her. Unfortunately, he hasn’t cooperated with law enforcement or the family about Rosemary’s whereabouts. If you know anything about her disappearance, please contact Crimestoppers at (903) 236-7867 or reach out to Investigator Jennifer Nieves or Lt Joshua Tubb of the Gregg County Sheriff’s department at (903) 758-6181. On episode 88 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark and I discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 6, titled Who Are You Now? This episode marks a big time jump. Is The Walking Dead in our future for the first time? 2021 possibly? What happened to Michonne during that time? We meet a new group, and see part of an old one get the Carol treatment!
Talking Through Who Are You Now? On this episode 88 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark and I discuss The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 6, which is titled Who Are You Now? This was written by Eddie Guzelian, and directed by Larry Teng. SPOILER ALERT!!! SPOILER ALERT!!! The rest of this blog post requires a SPOILER WARNING!!! If you haven’t watched this week’s episode, then you probably should stop now. Did you notice changes in the credits? I couldn’t help but notice Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan have been removed from the credits, with Norman Reedus now appearing first in the credits for the first time, Danai Gurira second, Melissa McBride third and Alanna Masterson fourth. Also, Khary Payton has been moved to the main credits for the first time. It’s six years later… Speaking of the credits, there’s nothing specifically mentioned in the story about Maggie, but we know some things happened after the last episode. We can only assume that she’s not the person leading the Hilltop, but we cannot say who is, except that whoever is leading is a woman. I personally hope they fill in the gaps as far as where Maggie is and what happened to her in the next episode. We see Michonne has a big scar on her back in the form of the letter X and might have been a branding scar, and we’d love a flashback to see what happened there. Various other people have new scars, hairstyles, and even personality changes. Gabriel and Rosita are a thing??? Eugene’s now a badass and grew out his hair??? We also see some of the Saviors are now living in Alexandria. Others are marauders, as Carol and Henry discover. Carol shows once again that if you underestimate her, you might get burned! Rimshot!!! Daryl is living alone… and seems lost. Michonne’s in Alexandria, but she’s also lost, and talking to Rick. It is really sad, and I started to cry… and stopped in my tracks when I realized he’s not dead or at least wasn’t dead when they thought he died six years before. That undermines the emotional underpinnings of the story, but not fatally. This was a great episode in what’s been the best season since Season 5 or 6. Where… Are… They??? We see the walkers behaving in ways we’ve never seen before, including talking. Are they evolving, or is something else at hand? Well, we think this is not what it seems, but time will tell. Ratings are about even from last week… This week, TWD got a 2.02 in the 18-49, with 5.396 million, slightly down from the 2.07 last week, from 5.414 million. All things considered, that’s a decent result. Charts below. Submit your feedback!
Talking Through The Obliged!!! On this episode 86 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark and I talk through The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 4, which is titled The Obliged. It was written by Geraldine Inoa, and this is her first IMDB credit, and directed by Rosemary Rodriguez. We both loved this one and are still happy with the direction the show is going this season. Except… NO!!!! Only one episode left for our favorite character!!! It’s hard to believe, but next episode, we’ll be discussing the final episode of Rick Grimes!!! I am really not looking forward to saying goodbye to my favorite character. I know I would have been really, really upset if they had killed off his character out of the blue, much like how I was upset with a couple of deaths in Fear the Walking Dead Season 4. That said, Rick Grimes IS The Walking Dead, much more than Madison or Nick WERE Fear, so Rick’s death, assuming he dies, will be much more traumatic, even knowing about it. Maggie’s going to kill Negan??? It seems like Maggie is going to Alexandria to kill Negan. Will she succeed, and next week is a big fake out??? Is she going to decide not to kill him after she sees him? Will Michonne stop her? We know that this episode will focus on Rick, so we may not ultimately see what happens here, but I think we will see something, even if not a lot. Michonne vs. Negan!!! So, Negan’s got a fixation with Lucille, doesn’t he? He tries to make it sound like they are the same, but we know that is not the case. It was all just to get his bat Lucille. So where is that bat anyway? Do you believe her that they just left it out there, probably by that tree with the stained glass, or do they have it somewhere? To me, I hope they just threw it in a river or buried, or even burned it. I don’t want him to ever get that bat back. I liked how Michonne needs to get her “workout” by killing walkers at night. To me, that’s a job that’s never done, and I think that’s healthy for her to do. Falling into a Hole… There was some good drama between Rick and Daryl. Major kudos go to Angela Kang and how much of an improvement we’ve gotten in Daryl’s character since she took the reigns from the Gimple! Still, the whole sinkhole was a bit contrived. Are we to believe that no walkers fell into it until then? I don’t buy it. It was a minor contrivance in an otherwise good episode. Jadis is definitely back… Anne + Jadis = Annis??? Again, with the Rube Goldberg walker contraptions? What’s the point? So, do you think that she’s gone with the helicopter, or is she still around? What’s an A? If she’s not bringing back Gabriel as an A, who will she take as her A? Could she take an injured Rick? Negan? Maggie? Someone else? What’s a B? Ratings are slightly up… As you can see from these rating and viewer charts, created by me, you’ll see that ratings were up a little bit, with 1.95 in the 18-49 demographic, slightly above the 1.93 from last week, and 5.095 million viewers, slightly up from 5.037 million last week. Ratings should go up the next episodes, for Rick’s last episode, and the World Series is over now.

So they really were serious about the rape plotline of Hope and Kilgrave - not gonna lie, in such a noisy restaurant I would use Kilgrave's power the same way like he did - now would be the perfect time to tell Luke Cage that Kilgrave made you kill his wife, otherwise if he finds out from somewhere else it will make you look very bad - oh finally we get to the exceptional action sequences - and Jessica waited too long to come clean with Luke, most emotional scene for me in this series so far - Holgarth wanting the dead fetus?!! she gonna get it analyzed to find out if something from Kigrave's DNA she can replicate his powers with??!! Bottom line: 8 out of 10 destroyed pot bins Episode 7 - Kilgrave's face full of disgust when the neighbor told him that he is in love with Jessica - really nice to see how much they shot on location in New Yortk City - huh, looked to me like Jessica loosened her grip on Hogart's ex, sweet jump afterwards though - MAN! Ruben's dead body in her bed sure did wake drunk Jessica up - Wendy showing some backbone against Hogarth, consider me impressed - looks like Trish can't keep her cool like she promised - YEP, Klgrave is the Top Shelf Pervert, in love with Jessica, just wanting her to love him too but from her own free will - awwww, Kilgrave out of his suit looks so dapper, now happy family times with Jessica Bottom line: 8 out of 10 Vintage Mickey Mouse memorabilia Episode 8 - "Welcome!" A tiny tiny bit I feel sorry for Kilgrave just wanting Jessica to like him, though how he does it...NOT GOOD! - Nirvana poster, why I'm not surprised about her tastes - hmmm, what would a linguistics expert say that "take care of her" could mean? - "selective consciousness", "Tomaytoh, tohmatoh", the quotes of this episode - ah, getting it now, Jessica was in a car crash with her family and then became an orphan? - now the "rape" topic is on the forefront, really dunno how and if Kilgrave really knows when his words does mind-control people - whenever you believe there is nothing worse, some crazed-out parents conduct experiments on their kid - OBI-WAN KENOBI..hell yes!! - Jessica teaching Kilgrave the Light Side of the Force...oh boy something horrible will need to happen again - FUCK! Fearing Hogarth will try to extract Kilgrave's powers from Hope's fetus!! EEK!!! - Officer Simms stupid, stupid stupid!!!! As soon as you hear Kilgrave you don't look into the freaking bag!!! Bottom line: 9 out of 10 Game Boy Colors of Doom Episode 9 - surprised her plan to kidnap him worked out so far "Was murdercorpse already taken?" - DAMM! Tennent's puppy eyes and Hogarth' icecoldness..they will make up a good pair - yeah...finding his parents will be such a gooood idea *ironyOFF" - "mother of the year award to bludgeon you" lol - This case of lost love just shows again the negative repercussions of it, effing Hogarth!! - hmmm, pills that make you feels faster, sounds fishy to me - Hogarth did mess with the cables, didn't she? - ending I didn't understand, did gloves or blood or touching another person counteract Kilgrave's spell?? Bottom line: 9 out of 10 misused Mother of the Year Awards Episode 10 - Oh, so Jessica is just immune against Kilgrave's mind-control? - Called it that Hogarth wanted to replicate his ability with the fetus!! - WTF??!!!! Is Simpson Hydra or another organization, or just committed to kill Killgrave?? - side character carnage really has begun, next Wendy head trauma by hitting side of a table - not telling her that her brother is missing will make it so much worse later on - Pam finally sees Hogarth for what she really is, at least that worked out - when they showed the white horse in Jessica's flashback I thought she was going mental - see, seeeee, sister helping unintentionally Kilgrave to escape, okay she was hostile against Jessica before but now they are in this big mess - should have seen that coming but DAMN, Hope taking the exit herself Bottom line: 9 out of 10 unexpected deaths OUTRO [73:56] Haley, Lauren and Stargate Pioneer love to hear back from you about your top 5 Marvel character lists, your science of Marvel questions, who would you pick in an all-female Avenger team, or who’s Marvel abs you would like to see.
