The central theme of this podcast episode revolves around the intricate relationship between love and control, as exemplified by the character of Zebediah Killgrave, known as Mr. Purple, from the "Alias" comics and the "Jessica Jones" television series. We delve into the complexities of Killgrave's character, whose powers allow him to control others, ultimately leading to a profound exploration of the nature of love as non-coercive and genuine. Our discussion is enriched by insights from our guest, Nick Polk, who previously contributed to the discourse surrounding the ideas of omnipotence and amipotence, as articulated by Dr. Thomas Jay Oord. We reflect on how these concepts manifest in contemporary narratives, particularly in the context of superhero stories, and consider the implications of power dynamics within relationships. By examining Killgrave's quest for love against the backdrop of his controlling nature, we unravel broader questions regarding the ethical dimensions of authority and the essence of true connection. An exploration of the complex relationship between love and control is at the forefront of this podcast discussion, as hosts Joshua Noel and Pastor Will Rose are joined by former host Nick Polk. The conversation is inspired by Nick's contribution to the essay collection "Amipotence: Support & Criticism, Expansion & Application," which engages with Dr. Thomas Jay Oord's provocative rethinking of divine omnipotence in light of God's loving nature. The hosts delve into the character of Kilgrave, also known as Mr. Purple from the *Jessica Jones* comics and Netflix series, whose ability to control others raises profound questions about the nature of love and genuine connection. Through their analysis of Kilgrave's abusive manipulation and misguided search for love, they illuminate the problematic implications of power dynamics in relationships, both in fiction and in theological discourse. This episode serves as a critical lens through which listeners can reflect on the intersections of control, love, and the human experience, compelling them to consider the ethical ramifications of omnipotent authority. In this episode, the discourse revolves around the character of Kilgrave from the *Jessica Jones* series, a figure emblematic of the tension between power and love. Hosts Joshua Noel and Pastor Will Rose, alongside guest Nick Polk, investigate the implications of Kilgrave's mind control abilities in relation to Dr. Thomas Jay Oord's concept of amipotence, which proposes that a truly loving God cannot exert coercive power over others. The hosts reflect on the nuances of love as depicted in pop culture, particularly through Kilgrave's tragic inability to form authentic relationships. This discussion not only unpacks the psychological repercussions of Kilgrave's actions within the narrative but also draws parallels to real-world power dynamics, including those present in religious and societal structures. The episode ultimately challenges listeners to reevaluate their understanding of love, agency, and the intersection of divine power and human autonomy, fostering a deeper contemplation of these intricate themes. The podcast episode masterfully intertwines the realms of comic book storytelling and theological inquiry, centering on the character of Kilgrave from *Jessica Jones* as a focal point for discussing the nature of love and control. Episode 16 - Murdock and Marvel: 1978 This week Marvel starts to steady the ship, even as the Distinguished Competition is kneecapped by their corporate overlords. Prices go up! Prices go down! Meanwhile, another of New York's elite that was manipulated by Killgrave hires the Paladin to hunt down Killgrave as well. Eventually Daredevil and Paladin meet, briefly fight and part ways. After a bad dream, Murdock decides to come clean to Heather Glenn about his Daredevil secret and tell her that Maxwell Glenn is innocent and he's working to find the person responsible. While waiting for Heather to come home, he answers her phone and learns Maxwell Glenn has committed suicide in prison. When she arrives, he still comes clean and Heather blames Daredevil/Matt for everything including Maxwell Glenn's death. She then disappears. In the Marvel Two-In-One, Matt Murdock is called on to represent Ben Grimm as he's trial for causing too much damage in New York but leads to Daredevil briefly working for the Mad Thinker whom is out to get Grimm. However, with the Help of Vision and Yellowjacket, they are able to take down the villain. Knowing he can't fix his relationship with Heather, Daredevil orchestrates an intervention/meet-up between Debbie Harris and Foggy Nelson in Central Park – which leads to them deciding they are going to get married again. While in Central Park, Daredevil has another run-in with the Paladin. Next Daredevil is lured into a trap with Heather Glenn as the bait by Mister Hyde and Cobra. After a lengthy battle that includes the Billy Club being destroyed (again) and Hyde and Daredevil falling from the 12th floor of Glenn's apartment complex, Daredevil is captured. That leads to an epic final show-down in which Daredevil must take on the Jester, Gladiator, Hyde, Cobra (and briefly Paladin) who are under the influence of Killgrave. This will be our spotlight story for the week. The year ends with Daredevil experiencing mysterious headaches which is causing him trouble with his radar sense. We also learn Death-Stalker is working on a plan to get Daredevil. At the Storefront, Murdock interviews and hires a new assistant. During the walk to dinner, Murdock learns Black Widow is in town with the Avengers so he bails on Becky Blake and Foggy. As Daredevil, he invades Avengers mansion taking down Beast and Captain America and calls out Black Widow saying “She'll pay dearly” New Powers, Toys or Places New Supporting Characters New Villains This Week's Spotlight: Daredevil #154 September 1978 "Arena" Recap Why We Picked This Story The Takeaway The Strange Case of Jack Kirby Questions or comments We'd love to hear from you! Episode 15 - Murdock and Marvel: 1977 Its 1977, and this week we see the dawn of a number of very influential independent titles, and Marvel and DC continue to try to bash each other into the ground. Comics are gaining in popularity on TV, with THREE superhero shows now on the small screen, and Marvel catches a tiger by the tail as it agrees to do a comic book adaptation of a movie that is about to change everything for geek culture in America. Preshow Murdock & Marvel on a break for Duane's move. Next Show should be June 5th. Marvel Unlimited Show will return in the meantime. The Year in Comics Notable and Newsworthy Industry Trends Eagle Awards The Year in Marvel Overall it was a rough year, as delays and problems are rampant. This is evidenced by our own Daredevil, who only managed to get out 9 issues this year, after a decade of monthly releases. New Titles Series Ending New Characters Who's in the Bullpen ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: Mike Zeck The Year in Daredevil Appearances: Daredevil #141-149, Iron Fist #11, Marvel Team-Up #56, Avengers #159 and Marvel Comics Super Special #1 Marv Wolfman starts the year as writer, but Jim Shooter takes over with issue 144. Bob Brown also starts the year as artist but like Wolfman, would leave after issue 143 with 30 artist credits in the series. Later in 1977, Brown would lose his battle with Leukemia. Artist credits from 144-149 include Lee Elias, George Tuska, Gil Kane and Klaus Jansen. The year starts with Daredevil taking down Maxwell Glenn's assistant Stone after he takes a shot at Foggy Nelson. If that wasn't enough, Bulleye is back in town, captures Daredevil with the cunning use of a paper airplane (“In my hands anything is a deadly weapon”) and ties him to a giant crossbow arrow and fires him towards New Jersey. Though Daredevil is able to escape the death trap with the help of Nova. Next Daredevil must take on Cobra and Hyde who are again working together and trying to steal a new serum recipe from a couple who have a rooftop jungle (and a pet lion) in the middle of the city. The Owl breaks Man-Bull out of prison and asks him to be his bodyguard and kidnap a doctor who can help him regain the use of his legs. Once captured the doctor gives the Owl an exoskeleton which allows him to walk and fly. But it also has (unknown to the Owl) a flaw that Daredevil is able to exploit to defeat the villain. Next, we see Bullseye again set his sights on Daredevil. This time challenging him to a duel at a TV Studio while broadcasting it. With Daredevil's radar sense on the fritz due to a golf ball, Daredevil takes a beating (and being shot) Daredevil is finally able to take down Bullseye in the Studio's wrestling ring. When pressed who hired him, Bullseye says the name “Glenn”. Daredevil goes to confront Maxwell Glenn and he confesses to several crimes (including kidnapping Deborah Harris, Foggy's Fiancée) without much resistance. We learn that Killgrave was pulling the strings and after Harris is rescued, Maxwell Glenn is arrested. Daredevil realizes something is up and upon returning to Glenn's office he finds a secret door leading to Killgrave and a group of entranced business leaders. Killgrave escapes while Daredevil has to fight through the group. On the search for Killgrave and a way to clear Maxwell Glenn's name, Daredevil runs into Death-Stalker instead. Death-Stalker creates a new Smasher in an attempt to take down his foe. The two have fight on a rooftop and then a final battle in an alley where Daredevil causes Smasher to drop a garbage bin on himself. As the year ends, Heather Glenn decides to leave Matt Murdock because he wasn't there for her during the whole ordeal with her father. And Debbie Harris will not see or talk to Foggy as she's still in shock from her kidnapping. As a preview at the end of issue 149, we see the message: Next: Daredevil's Landmark 150th issue, introducing the power of Paladin and possibly the most shattering shock ending ever! Stan Lee starts as editor to start the year, but Roy Thomas takes over in issue #91. Stan Lee is still named in the other issues as “presenting”. The year starts with Daredevil trying to convince Black Widow to trust the police and his friend the District Attorney and she ultimately goes to prison. The case is eventually dismissed because the body of Scorpion was lost in an explosion during a battle between Daredevil and Mr. Hyde. I should note that we aren't actually sure if there ever was a body. A plot to blackmail Foggy Nelson by Mr. Klein causes him to resign as District Attorney. Yet he seems to have remained D.A.? Not sure what happened there. In the Hulk books, Matt Murdock represents Bruce Banner and ends up angering the Hulk despite trying to follow Bruce Banners wishes and getting his client a fair trial. Black Widow heads to Switzerland and meets with a doctor who says they can restore sight to the blind. She calls Murdock in New York and he heads there only to find out the doctor was Mr. Klein/MK-9/The Assassin. We learn the android is a being known as Baal from the future who's traveled back in time to stop the end of humanity. Two Executioners from Baal's time arrive and kill him during a final confrontation. Next, Daredevil and Black Widow take on the Gladiator during their flight back to the U.S. They are able to defeat him and his accomplices with Daredevil then landing the plane. Back in New York, It looked like Karen Page and her Agent Phil were going to end up together in California but upon arriving in New York, Matt runs into Karen at the airport and the two share a kiss and an embrace, causing heartache to Natasha. Daredevil takes on the Ox after his release from prison but during the battle, the Ox's radiation builds up to a point that he explodes. After the battle, Karen admits to Matt that she still cannot handle him being Daredevil, and leaves him to return to L.A. Matt then rekindles his romance with the Black Widow and the two move to San Francisco. Once in San Fran, the two must take on Electro and Killgrave separately before the two team up in an effort to take down Daredevil – none of which actually works. The team-up issue will be our Spotlight issue this week. Black Widow talks about Danny French and Project 4 from her past with Daredevil and Ivan Petrovich and thinks it may be related to bouts of fear that is causing issues with them crime fighting. Turns out it was a new Mr. Fear whom Daredevil confronts and takes down at Jason Sloan's law office. Starting with issue 92, The covers list the title as “Daredevil and the Black Widow” The year ends with Daredevil and Black Widow taking on Indestructible Man who's after the Project 4 sphere. The final battle goes poorly until Danny French throws a spear at the glove providing Damon Dran's powers. The resulting explosion destroys Dran's powers and seemingly kills Drann. However, this victory comes at a cost, Danny bore the brunt of the explosion and dies in Black Widow's arms with Daredevil looking on. We talk about Captain America: Civil War and the things you missed if you never read the comics. Learn about Black Panther, The Raft, Sokovia Accords, Spider-Man and more! Talk with us on Twitter. Links from the discussion… The comic series that changed Marvel comics forever. Captain America considers Crossbones as one of his deadliest opponents. T'Challa is the Black Panther and the leader of the most technologically advanced country on Earth. In the comicbooks Baron Zemo wears a mask because his face was disfigured by Adhesive X which is family invented. The Raft is a super max prison run by Shield that has connections to Jessica Jones, Killgrave, Daredevil, and Luke Cage. General “Thunderbolt” Ross eventually becomes the Red Hulk in the comics. We can all be Captain America. The Mutant Registration Act and Super-human Registration Act are what the Sokovia Accords are modeled after. Spider-Man has a utility belt!
Scene 1 - What is Morgan Edge looking at?Football scene had a very Friday Night Lights vibe. Great little pep talk from Clark, love the confidence he has in Jordan. Didn’t Clark promise not to listen in on Lois? Is it just that he’s keyed in on Sam? Did he stop listening once he heard Lois?I love how Sam is just like, “I’ll stick around this weekend.” Uninvited. Btw, I had a Grandpa Sam who was much more loving than Sam Lane. Morgan Edge was a total creep. Is Lana’s husband just some sort of cuckold? Like does he want Edge to bang his wife? Is he just that naive?Interesting how Lois is a little too big to be working at Smallville Gazette. Like why wouldn’t she just write her own blog or tweet? She’s arguably the most famous reporter in the world.Lois confronting Edge and saying, “oh who cares” when he starts talking about his accent is so ballsy and funny. She IS Lois Lane. Can we talk about KILLGRAVE!? I mean this show was made for our generation of Superman fans. It’s funny because my moroy of the comic is that Killgrave brings real danger but Superman sort of always sees him as a nuisance. And I believe in his second to last or last appearance Superman basically threatens him to never come back again. But it’s good seeing a classic Superman villain that’s not Lex or Brainiac who even seems formidable. The way Superman handled it was great too. He kinda needed to hear his kids in order to snap out of it and finish Killgrave with a super clap. Ah the classic Superman not going to an emergency because he needs to tend to his family is finally here. You knew it was coming. Why is Superman’s code name “Bishop 6?” Is it a reference to Checkmate? Also, why does Superman need a codename? He has one, it’s called “SUPERMAN.” Tyler looks great in the suit. Very believable. Loved seeing him fly over Chicago, reminded me of Lois and Clark but with good SFX like Chicago in The Dark Knight. Even for Sam Lane, putting all of that pressure on the boys was OUTRAGEOUS. This is the Sam Lane I know from the comics. A jerk and basically as bad of a grandfather as he was a father.I know it’s part of the plot but it was incredibly disappointing that Clark didn’t make it to the town vote. I get missing a date with Lois or something but it seems like Clark Kent maybe would’ve been late but would’ve made an important thing like that. However, I do like Lois being mad but not passive aggressive and just talking about their issue. She had every right to be annoyed and she told it to Clark the way he needed to hear it. It’s so subtle but the look on Clark’s face of, “I don’t know what I’m doing anymore” felt realistic and felt like the kind of turmoil he should go through. In high school or college I probably would've enjoyed the party scene but it just makes me anxious now. Maybe it’s because I'm a middle school teacher and a parent. Lois and Lana’s girl’s night out was meh. I hate all the “men are like this and women are like this” stuff. So outdated and basic. Lois’ advice somehow leads to them completely making up over some pancakes? Ok. I like that Jon and Jordan took what their grandpa said seriously, (even if it was shitty advice) and wanted to solve it themselves. Great shot of Superman holding tag over the earth. There’s nothing quite like Lois Lane letting General Lane have it. Date night was so cute! And like that Sam learned his lesson. He’s not all bad. This is called GOOD character development. X-KRYPTONITE!!! DEEEEP CUT
Welcome to Smallville! Nothing seems to go quite right this episode. Everything is a little haywire. Clark is spending some quality time with the family and Metropolis’ sky is eerily empty of the Man of Steel. So, Sam Lane decides to pay the Kent family a visit and stay for a while. He informs Clark that Killgrave is being transferred to another prison. When Killgrave inevitably escapes, General Lane calls Superman to the rescue. He monitors the city, but is unable to track down Killgrave who later turns up with a sonic weapon. Drawing strength from his kids in need, he defeats Killgrave and rescues Tag. Meanwhile, Lois is having trouble at work when Edge threatens to sue her if she publishes anything in the Gazette. She confronts him and threatens to countersue, but it’s unclear if this fixes the situation. Jonathan is worried about Tag Harris, who appears to be developing metahuman abilities after the explosion at the bonfire. We later learn Smallville is a repository of X-Kryptonite which transforms humans into Supers. Football seems to be doing Jordan some good! He turns out to be the popular one in Smallville, which is hard for his brother.

A.K.A - Everything ends and is sad. Jake + Mitch go existential as they grapple with the close of Netflix's Jessica Jones. A legit prestige TV title and delicious 21st Century noir; JJ gave us a three season run that rarely fell short. Naturally, the last run presented a few questions:- Is s3 the last vestige of "bloated" Netflix series?- How do Killgrave, Cotton Mouth, and Fisk stack-up to MCU's villain arsenal?- Is Jessica Jones the best of the Marvel TV titles? They also get a little side-tracked with some scalding hot Star Wars takes. It makes sense...mostly. Bottom line, Jessica Jones ranks among the best of the bunch. Now it's time to re-watch the whole series, because we can't believe it's over. Episode 62: Jessica Jones Season 2Produced by Relevant to Our InterestsHosts: John R. Belliston and Frank ShawScripting by: Frank Shaw and John BellistonEdited by: Frank ShawGraphic Design by: Nathan Newell and Frank ShawIntro Music: Morning Activities by F.G. ShawOutro Music: Morning Activities by F.G. ShawIt's our discussion about Jessica Jones season 2. Overall we liked it. Well, to be fair I really liked it. John had a few issues: namely Jerri Hogarth. Now he does like the character, he just feels like she'd fit in better... someplace else. In another series. He's a lot clearer during the episode, and it's something that we disagree on.We struggle to find a theme to this season. Season one is concretely about abuse, with Killgrave being the primary villain. This season is about... learning that you can move on. Jessica Jones mother is a force to be reckoned with in the season, and is a bad guy, in the sense that she has a negative impact on Jessica's life, but she's not evil. Nobody is really (except Jerri). Selfish? Sure. Idealistic? Maybe. But evil. Nope. None of the villains are really villains. But I think that's going to change next season. I honestly think the central conflicts will come from Jerri, who manipulates Chen and Malcolm against Jessica, and from Trish who is going to come out swinging with her own powers. What will be the reasoning for it be? I have no idea. But I'm excited to watch it. Speaking of next season: still no announcement about it from Netflix or ABC Studios. I'm optimistic and hopeful we'll hear something soon. I'm loving what Marvel and Netflix has done so far (with one notable exception) and I can't wait to see more of Miss Jones. There are folks who are as optimistic as I am.
Jessica Jones Season 2 had a big hill to climb coming off a phenomenal Season 1 especially with Killgrave off the board now. Thankfully Season 2 manages to up the ante and really be good mainly in giving all the characters growth over the course of the 13 episodes on top of really sowing the seeds of being integrated in the MCU. On this episode, Paul gives his review of Jessica Jones Season 2, currently available on Netflix! We take a trip down the dark, back alleys of The MCU with a look at the state of their other Netflix shows too. (Spoilers begin at the 26 minuet 40 second mark)
Jessica Jones is back! Darryl gives his spoiler-free thoughts on Jessica Jones Season 2. This season has a fairly slow beginning. Jessica is dealing with the aftermath of killing Killgrave, and it's known by the public that she's the one that's responsible for it. This is largely thanks to Trish, who is using her talk show to highlight powered heroes and starting to investigate the people who gave Jessica powers. Also investigating is Malcolm, who is now sober, and is working closely with Jessica and picking her up off the floor each morning. Hogarth has her own arc that runs parallel to main cast's this season. Killgrave leaves a large hole to fill in the cast. In the first season, when he wasn't on the screen, you would be asking "Where's Killgrave?" or "Is this person mind controlled"? It really picks up when the main antagonists are brought forward. Then the questions you ask are, "How did this person get to this point"? and "what does this mean for Jessica"? Some characters make really frustrating choices throughout this season. There where many times where I would say "Why would you do that?" or Why would you trust this person?" It shows how toxic some people can be. In addition, while there isn't any mind control, many of the villains are very emotionally manipulative. People try to get what they want by any means, and they are often very horrible to each other. They don't have to be mind controllers to be terrible people. One of the secondary antagonists ends up slightly more sympathetic than some of the main characters. Only slightly though. When it comes to the ending, you know nothing is going to end well for Jessica. How it all resolves is unexpected, but makes you really want a season 3. Overall, Jessica Jones Season 2 is a good follow up to the first season. I ultimately didn't love it as much as season 1, but it was more consistent than other Marvel Netflix seasons. Jessica Jones season two has a lot to live up to. Season one gave us Killgrave and the introduction of Luke Cage. The first half of season two is both captivating and frustrating. This season focuses more on actual detective work and solving a mystery but will the villain (whoever that is) live up expectations? Overall these first 6 episodes are really well written and delivered. Lets just hope they can stick the superhero landing. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

So they really were serious about the rape plotline of Hope and Kilgrave - not gonna lie, in such a noisy restaurant I would use Kilgrave's power the same way like he did - now would be the perfect time to tell Luke Cage that Kilgrave made you kill his wife, otherwise if he finds out from somewhere else it will make you look very bad - oh finally we get to the exceptional action sequences - and Jessica waited too long to come clean with Luke, most emotional scene for me in this series so far - Holgarth wanting the dead fetus?!! she gonna get it analyzed to find out if something from Kigrave's DNA she can replicate his powers with??!! Bottom line: 8 out of 10 destroyed pot bins Episode 7 - Kilgrave's face full of disgust when the neighbor told him that he is in love with Jessica - really nice to see how much they shot on location in New Yortk City - huh, looked to me like Jessica loosened her grip on Hogart's ex, sweet jump afterwards though - MAN! Ruben's dead body in her bed sure did wake drunk Jessica up - Wendy showing some backbone against Hogarth, consider me impressed - looks like Trish can't keep her cool like she promised - YEP, Klgrave is the Top Shelf Pervert, in love with Jessica, just wanting her to love him too but from her own free will - awwww, Kilgrave out of his suit looks so dapper, now happy family times with Jessica Bottom line: 8 out of 10 Vintage Mickey Mouse memorabilia Episode 8 - "Welcome!" A tiny tiny bit I feel sorry for Kilgrave just wanting Jessica to like him, though how he does it...NOT GOOD! - Nirvana poster, why I'm not surprised about her tastes - hmmm, what would a linguistics expert say that "take care of her" could mean? - "selective consciousness", "Tomaytoh, tohmatoh", the quotes of this episode - ah, getting it now, Jessica was in a car crash with her family and then became an orphan? - now the "rape" topic is on the forefront, really dunno how and if Kilgrave really knows when his words does mind-control people - whenever you believe there is nothing worse, some crazed-out parents conduct experiments on their kid - OBI-WAN KENOBI..hell yes!! - Jessica teaching Kilgrave the Light Side of the Force...oh boy something horrible will need to happen again - FUCK! Fearing Hogarth will try to extract Kilgrave's powers from Hope's fetus!! EEK!!! - Officer Simms stupid, stupid stupid!!!! As soon as you hear Kilgrave you don't look into the freaking bag!!! Bottom line: 9 out of 10 Game Boy Colors of Doom Episode 9 - surprised her plan to kidnap him worked out so far "Was murdercorpse already taken?" - DAMM! Tennent's puppy eyes and Hogarth' icecoldness..they will make up a good pair - yeah...finding his parents will be such a gooood idea *ironyOFF" - "mother of the year award to bludgeon you" lol - This case of lost love just shows again the negative repercussions of it, effing Hogarth!! - hmmm, pills that make you feels faster, sounds fishy to me - Hogarth did mess with the cables, didn't she? - ending I didn't understand, did gloves or blood or touching another person counteract Kilgrave's spell?? Bottom line: 9 out of 10 misused Mother of the Year Awards Episode 10 - Oh, so Jessica is just immune against Kilgrave's mind-control? - Called it that Hogarth wanted to replicate his ability with the fetus!! - WTF??!!!! Is Simpson Hydra or another organization, or just committed to kill Killgrave?? - side character carnage really has begun, next Wendy head trauma by hitting side of a table - not telling her that her brother is missing will make it so much worse later on - Pam finally sees Hogarth for what she really is, at least that worked out - when they showed the white horse in Jessica's flashback I thought she was going mental - see, seeeee, sister helping unintentionally Kilgrave to escape, okay she was hostile against Jessica before but now they are in this big mess - should have seen that coming but DAMN, Hope taking the exit herself Bottom line: 9 out of 10 unexpected deaths OUTRO [73:56] Haley, Lauren and Stargate Pioneer love to hear back from you about your top 5 Marvel character lists, your science of Marvel questions, who would you pick in an all-female Avenger team, or who’s Marvel abs you would like to see. Stay tuned to Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D. podcast #103 to figure out how to enter the giveaway! MARVEL’s JESSICA JONES ON NETFLIX A.K.A. CRUSH SYNDROME [03:34] Coming back to the Jessica Jones series for the first time in over a month the Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents are confronted once again by how horrible Killgrave is once again. After the end of the previous episode when Killgrave had Hope kill her parents, Killgave takes over a family’s home terrorizing all involved, Killgrave has ruined a skillful surgeon’s life, and effectively ended an EMS’ life and career. Killgrave is getting a rep for making the lives a billion times worse for people that are devoted to helping others. The Agents are treated to a complete non-trained drunken bar fight and divert into a side conversation of Rugby and Lacrosse including Archer’s past with Lacrosse camp. However, the Agents were treated to awesome all out superhero sex for the very first time! “Supervillain “Lab Rat” Lauren is particularly taken by the scene. Also the relationship between Trish Walker and Jessica Jones continues to unfold this episode including Trish’s training and Lauren give a very short background into why the two have their relationship in the series versus what happened to date in the comics. It turns out that the college class scene in this episode would have been one of the most exciting classes Lauren and Haley had in school. Lauren defines the term “#LannisterKink” in relation to Jessica Jones’ upstairs neighbors. Agent SP learns that The Star Wars Rebel character Kanan is voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr.. And all the Agents agree that Jeri Hogarth played by Carrie Ann Moss is NOT a good person. "A.K.A. Crush Syndrome” Directed By: S. J. Spoilers abound on this episode so if you're not caught up—be warned! While this purple planet-eating podcast may have met it's chromatic match in Killgrave, we cover a ton of ground (both good and not-so-good) from the talented JJ most of the head-scratching supporting cast. Plus we play a round of "Elevator Action" and make our pitches for Phase 2 Marvel series on the 'Flix. Give a listen here!
Trey and Jess have been dating for 2 years and decided to record their nerd talk for your pleasure! In this episode we go down to the bottom of the bottle with Jessica Jones, getting lost on the way in various tangents about side characters and other comics all together! Jessica Jones, Marvel, Star Wars, Phantom Menace, Light-sabers, Palpatine, Luke Cage, Nuke, Daredevil, Purple Man, Killgrave, Hellcat, Patsy Walker, Rebecca De Mornay, Hogarth, Trinity

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Love In The Time Of Hydra [3:00] Welcome to the Legends Of S.H.I.E.L.D. discussion of the Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2 episode 15 One Door Closes! There was an incredible Director/Writer team working this episode so no wonder it was so fabulous! Just where are the Koeings and which S.H.I.E.L.D. are they loyal to? There is soo much story in Agents OF S.H.I.E.L.D. that as good as this episode is there is still soo much yet that we don't know like what's going on with Raina, Ward, Baikshi and Agent 33! Will the Iliad go the way of the Battlestar Pegasus? What was your favorite episode fight scene? Skye? Bobbi-May (Calvary versus Mockingbird)? Hartley on the Iliad? Bobbi on the Iliad? Simmons pulls off the greatest con of the show so far! Is Simmons still programmed with compliance? Was it bad writing when Bobbi returns to Coulson's S.H.I.E.L.D.'s base? Could they make any more Battlestar Galactica references? Please do! They are great! Why didn't Agent Robert Gonzalez come to talk with Coulson? Hmmmm.... Will Raina "Luke It Up?" Is Skye the next Avatar? What was your favorite Skye power use moment? And whassup with the Toolbox and what's in the Iliad cargo hold? Can this show get any better? Is this the best you've got Marvel? Yes, Mr. Rodgers, we got that reference. Hoped she was that sly, made me happy. - Facebook Paulo SilvaLegends Of SHIELD Podcast March 26 at 12:55pm · Just watched the last episode. A lot of focus in family and trust. Another great episode. And poor Carla Talbot smile emoticon . A lot of new questions in the air. It will be nice if there is another S.H.I.E.L.D. where Maria Hill is the directorsmile emoticon. This New S.H.I.E.L.D. with a Helicarrier... yep , bloody hell!!!! Legends Of SHIELD Podcast There are a lot of mixed reactions to last night's "Love in the Time of HYDRA" -- all seemingly centered around the use of 'familiar' plot strategies and character development. Some viewers reveled in these tactics, others seemed to be left wanting something new, or unchartered. What say you, Agents? Did the story move forward satisfactorily, or did the wheels just spin? Paulo Silva Nice episode. but...where is HYDRA? Maybe it´s just in front of us ... and it´s this new S.H.I.E.L.D. But because he was injured, he's gonna have a chip on his shoulder and go after her with a vengeance. . . . douche. And was it just me or when Simmons called Fitz "Leo", did it kinda hit you right in the feels? But then she redeemed herself by taking out Bobbi.
