We track our sleep, steps, heart rate, HRV, glucose, and recovery — but why aren't men tracking one of the most important indicators of sexual and cardiovascular health? In this episode, Amy sits down with Dr. Elliot Justin, CEO and founder of FirmTech, to talk about the future of sexual health wearables and why erectile fitness deserves to be part of the men's health conversation.Dr. Justin explains how nocturnal erections can provide valuable insight into a man's vascular health, sexual performance, and overall wellness. They discuss why erection issues are often treated with a pill instead of investigated as a potential warning sign, how FirmTech's TechRing tracks firmness, frequency, and duration, and why objective data may help men and providers better understand what is really happening. They also cover the connection between cardiovascular health and erectile function, performance anxiety, testosterone optimization, pumps, Trimix, erection rings, and why men need better tools than guesswork when it comes to sexual health. This episode is a candid, funny, and eye-opening conversation about erections, data, confidence, relationships, and why men should stop driving blind when it comes to their health. Dr. Elliot Justin — emergency medicine physician, serial entrepreneur, and Founder & CEO of FirmTech — joins us to discuss “erectile fitness” and how sexual health can reveal critical insights about overall wellness. Using data from over 2.4 million erections, he explains the connection between erections, heart disease, sleep, aging, and why many ED diagnoses are misunderstood. Dr. Justin also breaks down the limits of ED pills, the benefits of simple alternatives like rings, and why men's health conversations need less stigma and more science.
Taboo to Truth: Unapologetic Conversations About Sexuality in Midlife
In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on something that is already inside your world whether you're ready for it or not — artificial intelligence and sex. I'm breaking down four categories of AI-powered intimacy technology: smart sex toys and biofeedback devices, AI companion apps and chatbots, virtual reality experiences, and AI in sexual health and therapy. I talk about what these tools actually do, why they matter specifically for people navigating desire and relationships after 50, and the questions we're not asking loudly enough — about data privacy, about who this technology was built for, and about what happens to our capacity for real human connection when frictionless digital intimacy becomes the easier option. This is not a scare episode. This is a get-informed episode. Because you deserve to be an empowered participant in the world you're already living in.In this episode:00:00 — Introduction: AI Is Already in Your Bedroom01:15 — The Four Categories of AI Intimacy Tech02:30 — Smart Sex Toys and Biofeedback Devices04:10 — Lioness, FirmTech, WeVibe and What They Actually Do05:30 — Haptics and Teledildonics: Physical Intimacy Across Distance06:45 — AI Companion Apps: Loneliness, Grief, and the Limits of Digital Connection08:30 — Virtual Reality and Intimacy: VR Therapy, Body Shame, and Immersive Content10:15 — The Three Questions We're Not Asking About AI and Sex12:00 — Is Technology a Bridge or a Destination?13:15 — Closing: How to Be an Empowered Participant Want a deeper look? Dr. Elliot Justin on TechRing: The Future of Male Vital Signs Elliot Justin, MD, CEO and Founder of FirmTechFirmTech is dedicated to advancing sexual wellness through sophisticated wearable technology designed to monitor the "vital signs" of essential vascular health. The company's inaugural suite of products focuses on male physiological performance, providing men and their physicians with the objective data necessary to monitor, manage, and potentially reverse the progression of erectile dysfunction (ED).Under Dr. Justin's leadership, the FirmTech team developed the TechRing—a transformative device engineered to optimize "erectile fitness." By providing actionable data, the TechRing encourages proactive engagement with both sexual and cardiovascular health. As urologists often internalize, the penis serves as a "canary in the coal mine" for broader cardiovascular wellness; FirmTech brings this diagnostic insight directly to the consumer. To date, FirmTech has documented over 136,000 erectile events across a user base of nearly 4,000 men. The TechRing is currently utilized by global researchers to better understand male physiology. A significant finding from this data suggests that the primary cause of ED is often age-related venous leak—a condition that can frequently be managed with a high-performance erection ring.In addition to the TechRing, FirmTech has distributed over 20,000 units of the MaxPR and Performance Ring, designed to sustain performance and enhance physiological response. The company is currently transitioning into its second phase of growth, which includes expanding these diagnostic and wellness benefits to women's health.FirmTech's innovations have earned prestigious international accolades, including:Second Place: 2023 CES/Showstoppers (Health, Wellness, and Innovation)Winner: 2023 Most Innovative Product of the Year (XBIZ)Dr. Elliot Justin is an Emergency Medicine specialist and a veteran consultant in healthcare technology, focusing on erectile neuromodulation, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. (Full Spoilers Ahead!) In Zendaya's powerhouse turn as Emma, *The Drama* rips open the fairy-tale wedding facade to expose a masterclass in projection, gaslighting, and straight-up bullying that leaves audiences rethinking who the real villain is. Emma, a survivor who at 15 fantasized about a school shooting as twisted revenge against the bullies who tormented her (before backing out, losing part of her hearing in the process, and channeling that pain into gun-violence activism), finally shares her darkest secret with fiancé Charlie (Robert Pattinson) and maid of honor Rachel—only for the toxic environment to explode on her wedding day. Rachel weaponizes the revelation with a vicious speech that shames Emma publicly, projecting her own grudges (including getting fired by Emma) while hiding behind her cousin's wheelchair for moral high ground. Meanwhile, weak-willed Charlie—despite Emma's explicit trust—starts digging, obsessing, gaslighting her about her growth, and even crosses lines with Rachel's sister before the whole ceremony implodes in fights and betrayal. Yet Emma emerges as the one who deserves grace: she's already done the hard work of healing through support groups and advocacy, never actually harming anyone, while the people closest to her pile on unbearable pressure instead of offering space for her trauma-forged resilience. By the diner “do-over” ending, where she and Charlie choose to start fresh rather than abandon each other, the film quietly argues that real love—and real growth—means giving survivors like Emma room to breathe, not punishing them for a past they've already atoned for. If you're heading into this one thinking it's just another rom-com, buckle up: it's a brutal, brilliant takedown of the very people who claim to love you most.Sign up for FirmTX https://firmtx-intake.myfirmtech.com/Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/depraved-and-debaucherous--5267208/support.Contact KOP for professional podcast production, imaging, and web design services at http://www.kingofpodcasts.comSupport KOP by subscribing to his YouTube channel and search for King Of PodcastsFollow KOP on X and TikTok @kingofpodcasts (F Meta!)Listen to KOP's other programs, Podcasters Row… and the Wrestling is Real Wrestling Podcast and The Broadcasters Podcast.Buy KOP a Coffee https://buymeacoffee.com/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a PayPal https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=3TAB983ZQPNVLDrop KOP a Venmo https://account.venmo.com/u/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a CashApp https://cash.app/$kingofallpodcastsThis episode is sponsored by FirmTech—performance rings built for comfort, control, and confidence.Head to myfirmtech.com and use code KING for 15% off.

We revisit B. Chionne's evolution from a nervous novice to a seasoned veteran who views sugar dating as a strategic business partnership. After a brief hiatus following an "icky" first encounter, Chionne returned to the lifestyle in her 20s with a detached, pragmatic mindset. She describes her work as "selling a fantasy," which often requires her to perform a character and even deceive her benefactors—such as pretending to be impressed by trips to places she has already visited—to stroke their egos and maintain the transactional flow.To protect her emotional well-being, Chionne mastered the art of compartmentalization and mental dissociation. She explains that during intimacy with a sugar daddy, she would "remove herself" from her body so the experience felt as though it were happening to someone else, creating a clear boundary between her "sugar" persona and her "vanilla" romantic life. Over time, her perception of the power dynamic shifted; while she initially felt the men held the power due to their wealth, she eventually realized that her youth and companionship were the rarer commodities, allowing her to set firm boundaries with the confidence that "what you won't do, another man will."Dr. Lauren Cormier's clinical research provides a data-driven look at the "sugar benefactors," revealing that their motivations often extend beyond simple physical access. Many men in the study expressed a genuine desire for mentorship and companionship, enjoying the feeling of helping a younger person navigate their career or the business world. For married men, sugar dating was frequently framed as a pragmatic "alternative to divorce," providing a way to fulfill needs for excitement and youthful energy without the legal and emotional fallout of ending a primary marriage.Interestingly, Cormier's research highlights a "Power Paradox" where both sugar babies and daddies often perceive the baby as the one in control. This stems from the belief among benefactors that the pool of "high-quality" sugar babies is exclusive and small, leading men to feel they must "date up" or prove their value to keep their partner interested. This explicit negotiation of terms, while transactional, creates a unique environment where both parties often feel more empowered and satisfied than they do in the ambiguous world of traditional "vanilla" dating.WUNC Emoblodied Podcast: https://youtu.be/wq2FNRhKgmA?si=fGYR1W_HMpgT575cTranscript: https://www.wunc.org/2026-03-10/inside-the-world-of-sugar-babies-sugar-daddies-sugar-dating-transcriptSign up for FirmTX https://firmtx-intake.myfirmtech.com/Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/depraved-and-debaucherous--5267208/support.Contact KOP for professional podcast production, imaging, and web design services at http://www.kingofpodcasts.comSupport KOP by subscribing to his YouTube channel and search for King Of PodcastsFollow KOP on X and TikTok @kingofpodcasts (F Meta!)Listen to KOP's other programs, Podcasters Row… and the Wrestling is Real Wrestling Podcast and The Broadcasters Podcast.Buy KOP a Coffee https://buymeacoffee.com/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a PayPal https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=3TAB983ZQPNVLDrop KOP a Venmo https://account.venmo.com/u/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a CashApp https://cash.app/$kingofallpodcastsThis episode is sponsored by FirmTech—performance rings built for comfort, control, and confidence.Head to myfirmtech.com and use code KING for 15% off.

In a whirlwind of headlines shaking the OnlyFans world this March 2026, French OnlyFans model Melisa Mireille Jeanine and her collaborators were arrested in Bali for allegedly filming hardcore pornographic content featuring an Italian man dressed as a Gojek driver at a villa in Canggu, facing up to 10 years in prison under Indonesia's strict anti-pornography laws after the video went viral. Meanwhile, controversial UK OnlyFans star Bonnie Blue (Tia Billinger) was charged with outraging public decency in London following a provocative stunt outside the Indonesian embassy—mimicking a sex act with the Indonesian flag in apparent retaliation to her recent Bali arrest (where she was fined and deported for visa violations and content creation). We also spotlight the platform's highs and lows: former corporate executive Bella Nicole ditched her $185K salary for the freedom of full-time OnlyFans creation, embracing personal fulfillment despite the adjustment; model Summer Robert opens up about living with macromastia and her extreme 30R bra size, insisting she's "just trying to exist" amid constant harassment while sharing her story on the site.Plus, alarming reports reveal desperate male performers risking priapism, "exploding" penises, heart attacks, and even death from dangerous knock-off "nuclear Viagra" drugs like Kamagra to keep up with shoots; and ongoing class-action lawsuits accuse OnlyFans of deceptive practices, including subscribers paying for access only to chat with agency "impersonators" rather than real models, alongside separate claims of misleading "full access" subscriptions that hide paywalled content. A shifting tide in gender politics suggests that the era of the "simp" may be hitting a wall, as new data reveals a surprising resurgence of traditionalist values among young men. Recent studies from King's College London and Ipsos indicate that nearly one-third of Gen Z men believe a wife's duty is to obey her husband, with 33% asserting that men should have the final say in a relationship. While critics point to the "toxic" influence of social media algorithms in radicalizing young men, proponents argue this trend is a direct rejection of modern emotional vulnerability in favor of clear authority and masculine leadership. As the debate intensifies, the clash between the "modern simp" who embraces emotional openness and the rising traditionalist who demands respect signals a deepening cultural divide over the future of romance and the family unit.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/depraved-and-debaucherous--5267208/support.Contact KOP for professional podcast production, imaging, and web design services at http://www.kingofpodcasts.comSupport KOP by subscribing to his YouTube channel and search for King Of PodcastsFollow KOP on X and TikTok @kingofpodcasts (F Meta!)Listen to KOP's other programs, Podcasters Row… and the Wrestling is Real Wrestling Podcast and The Broadcasters Podcast.Buy KOP a Coffee https://buymeacoffee.com/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a PayPal https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=3TAB983ZQPNVLDrop KOP a Venmo https://account.venmo.com/u/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a CashApp https://cash.app/$kingofallpodcastsThis episode is sponsored by FirmTech—performance rings built for comfort, control, and confidence.Head to myfirmtech.com and use code KING for 15% off.

It's time to face the music: we're in a bit of a dry spell, and quite frankly, it's getting a little dusty in here. While the world is busy overthinking every text and "optimizing" their schedules, we've forgotten that the best way to spend twenty minutes is definitely not scrolling through TikTok. We need to get back to the basics—and no, we don't mean missionary with the lights off. We're talking about reclaiming the bedroom as a playground rather than a boardroom. If we peek into the spicy pages of Esther Vilar's The Manipulated Man, she cheekily suggests that women have historically held the keys to the "sex vault," using intimacy as a high-stakes currency to keep men jumping through hoops like well-trained poodles. But honestly, who has the energy for all that gatekeeping? Using sex as a tactical bribe or a "good behavior" reward is exhausting. By tossing out the Vilar-style power plays and the strategic withholding, we can stop treating sex like a bargaining chip and start treating it like the fun, messy, endorphin-pumping riot it's supposed to be. Let's stop "saving it for a rainy day" and start making it pour—because a little less manipulation and a lot more horizontal hula is exactly what the doctor (and your sanity) ordered.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/depraved-and-debaucherous--5267208/support.Contact KOP for professional podcast production, imaging, and web design services at http://www.kingofpodcasts.comSupport KOP by subscribing to his YouTube channel and search for King Of PodcastsFollow KOP on X and TikTok @kingofpodcasts (F Meta!)Listen to KOP's other programs, Podcasters Row… and the Wrestling is Real Wrestling Podcast and The Broadcasters Podcast.Buy KOP a Coffee https://buymeacoffee.com/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a PayPal https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=3TAB983ZQPNVLDrop KOP a Venmo https://account.venmo.com/u/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a CashApp https://cash.app/$kingofallpodcastsThis episode is sponsored by FirmTech—performance rings built for comfort, control, and confidence.Head to myfirmtech.com and use code KING for 15% off.
Send a textFirmTech's mission is better sexual health for everyone with smart wearables that provide the vital signs of their most vital organ.. The company's first phase of innovative products focuses on keeping men fit and firm for a lifetime of lovemaking. Men and their physicians need objective and personal data so men can avoid ED, and if they have it, stop its progression and potentially reverse it. Dr. Justin and his FirmTech team have developed and marketed the TechRing, a transformative erection ring to help men optimize personal “erectile fitness,” and to inspire better erectile and cardiovascular health through engaging with objective data about their sexual health. Urologists call the penis the “canary in the coal mine” of cardiovascular health. We sit down with Dr. Justin Early, emergency physician turned telehealth pioneer and CEO of FirmTech, to explore how a smart erection ring turns sexual performance into objective data—and why those numbers can double as an early warning for cardiovascular risk. No more guesswork, vague labels, or one‑size‑fits‑all pills; this conversation lays out a clear path to sexual fitness you can actually track. We unpack why the traditional ED diagnosis fails most people by grouping different problems together, and we look at how short clinic visits, insurance incentives, and subjective questionnaires leave patients without meaningful guidance. Instead, we walk through the core metrics that matter—nocturnal erection frequency, firmness, duration, and detumescence—and reveal a surprising insight from the world's largest erection dataset: for many men without severe disease, nocturnal firmness holds steady far longer than expected. The real issue for most aging men is blood leak, not lack of inflow. Melissa Rodway, host of Fly Travel Radio, joins King of Podcasts to dismantle the modern "luxury influencer" myth of travel.Drawing from over two decades of experience and her new book, The People You Meet, Rodway discusses the evolution of solo female travel and the importance of "street smarts" over staged photos. She shares the origin story of meeting her long-term partner on a cycling trip in Cuba and offers a refreshingly grounded perspective on why women are increasingly ditching their partners at home to find empowerment through active, grassroots adventures. From navigating remote towns in Chile to the psychological "stripping down" that happens when you're alone on the road, Rodway explores how travel serves as a powerful tool for self-discovery—as long as you're willing to leave the fake eyelashes behind and lace up your hiking boots.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/depraved-and-debaucherous--5267208/support.Contact KOP for professional podcast production, imaging, and web design services at http://www.kingofpodcasts.comSupport KOP by subscribing to his YouTube channel and search for King Of PodcastsFollow KOP on X and TikTok @kingofpodcasts (F Meta!)Listen to KOP's other programs, Podcasters Row… and the Wrestling is Real Wrestling Podcast and The Broadcasters Podcast.Buy KOP a Coffee https://buymeacoffee.com/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a PayPal https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=3TAB983ZQPNVLDrop KOP a Venmo https://account.venmo.com/u/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a CashApp https://cash.app/$kingofallpodcastsThis episode is sponsored by FirmTech—performance rings built for comfort, control, and confidence.Head to myfirmtech.com and use code KING for 15% off.
The "numbers game" is a trap designed for the desperate, but for the man who understands the new rules, it's an opportunity to dominate. If you feel like you're shouting into a void, it's not because the game is rigged—it's because you're playing a low-level strategy in a high-stakes environment. Relationship science proves that the "spray and pray" method is a race to the bottom. To win today, you don't need more swipes; you need superior positioning. When you stop treating your dating life like a frantic lottery and start treating it like a curated selection, you regain the power. The truth is, while most men are drowning in the noise of low-effort matches, the top-tier men are winning by doing less, but doing it better. Women are exhausted by the "zombies" and the "breadcrumbers" who populate their feeds. By opting out of those weak Gen-Z trends and bringing a sense of grounded, masculine certainty to the table, you immediately become a rare commodity. You aren't just another profile; you're the refreshing exception to the rule. Authenticity isn't just a buzzword—it's your competitive edge in an era of "kittenfishing" and digital facades.Even the rise of "Tinder Tuesdays" and the "Girl's Girl" vetting culture is actually a massive win for the man who has his act together. When women discuss and share profiles, they aren't just looking for red flags; they are hunting for excellence. If your profile exudes status, clarity, and genuine intent, you don't just win over one woman—you gain the unspoken endorsement of the entire social circle. This collective vetting is a fast-track for the man who knows how to present himself. You're no longer just a face in a stack; you're the guy being screenshotted for all the right reasons. The new era of dating belongs to the intentional. By narrowing your focus and raising your standards, you trigger a psychological shift: you stop being a seeker and start being the prize. Forget the "cuffing season" desperation and the "throning" power games. When you lead with a strategy of Ruthless Value, you aren't just playing the game—you're rewriting the scoreboard in your favor. It's time to stop chasing the crowd and start letting the best matches find their way to you.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/depraved-and-debaucherous--5267208/support.Contact KOP for professional podcast production, imaging, and web design services at http://www.kingofpodcasts.comSupport KOP by subscribing to his YouTube channel and search for King Of PodcastsFollow KOP on X and TikTok @kingofpodcasts (F Meta!)Listen to KOP's other programs, Podcasters Row… and the Wrestling is Real Wrestling Podcast and The Broadcasters Podcast.Buy KOP a Coffee https://buymeacoffee.com/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a PayPal https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=3TAB983ZQPNVLDrop KOP a Venmo https://account.venmo.com/u/kingofpodcastsDrop KOP a CashApp https://cash.app/$kingofallpodcastsThis episode is sponsored by FirmTech—performance rings built for comfort, control, and confidence.Head to myfirmtech.com and use code KING for 15% off.

What if your sex life could tell you something important about your health? In this episode, we're joined by Dr. Elliot Justin, an ER doctor of 25 years who pivoted into sexual health innovation to change the way we talk about bodies, pleasure, and well-being. We explore how erections, cardiovascular health, data-driven tools, and honest conversations can give us earlier insight into what's happening in the body and why sexual health should never be treated as separate from overall health. We cover: Why sexual health is a health issue, not a vanity issue. Dr. Justin explains why pleasure, performance, and function are often early indicators of deeper health patterns. What erections can reveal about cardiovascular health. How nighttime erections are connected to blood flow and heart health long before other symptoms appear. Why men's sexual health is often ignored until there's a crisis. How stigma and silence delay diagnosis and meaningful conversations. The science behind nocturnal erections. What's normal, what's not, and why the body's nighttime patterns matter. How data can change the way couples talk about sex. Why shared, objective information can reduce shame, blame, and guesswork in the bedroom. The role of technology in modern sexual wellness. How tools like FirmTech are bringing measurable insights into intimacy and performance. Why early awareness matters more than quick fixes. As an emergency physician who transitioned into sexual health technology, I believe the Think Fitness Life audience would appreciate a fresh perspective on how erectile fitness intersects with overall health. After over 25 years in medicine and founding multiple healthcare ventures, I've focused on developing FirmTech's TechRing, the first FDA-registered smart device to objectively monitor nocturnal erections as early signals of cardiovascular status. We've collected data from more than 100,000 erections, making our database the largest of its kind. The TechRing's ability to track the 3-5 nightly erections in healthy men offers powerful insights, connecting sexual health with performance and longevity. This approach challenges the pill-first mindset and instead empowers men to use meaningful, actionable data. I've had the privilege to discuss this on over 200 podcasts so far, and the feedback underscores a genuine need for conversations that make men's health accessible and relevant. FirmTech has been recognized with the Healthcare Business Award from the Science and Engineering Health Technologies Alliance and was runner up for Innovation at CESShowstoppers, reflecting the significance of our work. In today’s show, we’re unpacking what kink is, what it isn't, and why people want what they want. If you've ever wondered “why are people into that?”, this episode is for you. My guest is Gigi Engle, a certified sex and relationships psychotherapist, and sex educator. Sex shops are more than just retail spaces. In fact, they're often where people actually learn about sex. When formal sex ed fails, sex shops step in to answer questions about bodies, pleasure, and desire. In this episode, we’re exploring how sex shops became unexpected sex educators, and what we can learn from that. My guest is Dr. Carol Queen, the staff sexologist, Company Historian, and Curator of the Antique Vibrator Museum at Good Vibrations. A noted cultural sexologist whose work has been widely published, she’s written and edited several books, including The Sex & Pleasure Book: Good Vibrations Guide to Great Sex for Everyone. Some of the specific topics we explore in this episode include: How did sex shops become one of the main places people actually learn about sex? How did Good Vibrations completely change what a sex shop could be? What questions are people really bringing into sex shops when they walk through the door? In today’s show, we’re diving into results from a new national study finding that a majority of people taking one of these medications reported a change in their sex and dating lives, for better or for worse. My guest is Dr. Amanda Gesselman a research scientist and head of the VIBES research team at the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University. Digital intimacy is a major focus of her research, including how people use tools like camsites, AI companions, dating apps, and social media to navigate connection and desire. Some of the specific topics we explore in this episode include: What specific changes are people noticing in their dating lives as a result of taking one of these drugs? Why does weight loss seem to be benefiting men more than women when it comes to dating? How do GLP-1 medications affect sexual health and function? And is it different for men and women? Are people taking GLP-1 medications worried about social judgement? To learn more, you can read a brief report about the study here. Got a sex question? Consensual non-monogamy (CNM) is something everyone seems to have an opinion on, but many people’s views are decidedly negative. For example, people often say things like “open relationships never work,” and “how is that any different than cheating?” In today's show, we're going to dive into common CNM myths and misconceptions and separate fact from fiction. My guest is Dr. Justin Mogilski, an associate professor of psychology at the University of South Carolina Salkehatchie, where he teaches courses on human sexuality, the psychology of marriage, and evolutionary psychology. Some of the specific topics we explore in this episode include: What the difference between CNM and infidelity? How is cheating within a CNM relationship similar to or different from cheating in a monogamous relationship? What are some of the logistical and emotional challenges in CNM relationships? What are some of the key components to a successful CNM relationship? How is CNM related to sexual health and safer-sex practices? You can click this link to read Dr. Mogilski’s large-scale study on consensual non-monogamy. Got a sex question? Welcome back to Ditch the Labcoat. This week, host Dr. Mark Bonta sits down with Dr. Elliot Justin, emergency physician, innovator, and founder of FirmTech, for a conversation that's equal parts fascinating, funny, and paradigm-shifting. Together, they explore a topic that most people find awkward to talk about—but everyone is curious about: male sexual health.Dr. Justin shares how a personal injury and a deep curiosity about human physiology led him to develop an unexpected form of wearable technology—an erection ring that can not only enhance sexual performance but also collect valuable health data. Beneath the humor and candor lies something revolutionary: nocturnal erections, it turns out, may be one of the most powerful predictors of cardiovascular health we've been overlooking. In this episode, Dr. Bonta and Dr. Justin unpack what it means when men stop getting morning erections, how this can serve as an early warning sign for heart disease, and why the term “erectile dysfunction” might need to be retired altogether. They explore the complex interplay between vascular, neurological, and psychological factors that drive sexual performance; and how rebranding “dysfunction” into erectile fitness reframes the conversation around men's health, confidence, and relationships. From bedside humor to hard science, Dr. Justin reveals how FirmTech's technology has already identified hidden cardiac disease in users, improved relationships, and empowered men to take charge of their health in a completely new way. The discussion ranges from cardiovascular physiology to the social stigma surrounding male sexual health—and how technology might just be the bridge that makes it easier to talk about. If you've ever wondered what your body might be trying to tell you, why sex can be one of medicine's most underused diagnostic tools, or how innovation can transform intimacy and health alike, this episode is for you.Let's ditch the lab coat and get real about the science—and future—of erections.Dr. Elliot Justin, MD, FACeP, CEO of FirmTechhttps://myfirmtech.comEpisode Timestamps 01:00 Introduction to Health Metrics02:56 The Journey to Sexual Health Technology05:48 Understanding Nocturnal Erections09:13 The Role of Vascular Health11:57 Redefining Erectile Dysfunction14:54 The Impact of Technology on Sexual Health17:53 The Importance of Venous Return21:06 Patient Experiences and Relationship Dynamics24:02 The Power of Data in Sexual Health26:56 Safety and Usage of the Technology29:57 Future of Sexual Health Screening32:54 Concluding Thoughts on Sexual HealthEpisode TakeawaysNocturnal erections can serve as a leading indicator of cardiovascular health, offering a non-invasive way to monitor heart health. The technology developed by Elliot provides a dual-purpose solution: tracking nocturnal erections and serving as an erection ring to maintain sexual performance.Elliot's personal journey from emergency medicine to developing this technology highlights the importance of addressing sexual health as a vital component of overall well-being.The conversation challenges the stigma around erectile dysfunction, advocating for a shift towards discussing "erectile fitness" to promote a positive and proactive approach to sexual health. The data collected from the wearable technology can help differentiate between psychogenic and physiological causes of erectile issues, providing valuable insights for personalized treatment.Elliot emphasizes the need for a personalized approach to health, where individuals can use data to understand their unique health needs and make informed decisions. The episode underscores the potential of wearable technology to disrupt traditional medical practices by providing actionable insights and empowering individuals to take control of their health.Dr. Mark Bonta and Elliot discuss the broader implications of their work, suggesting that it could lead to new standards of care for men over 45 or those with specific health conditions. The conversation highlights the importance of open dialogue about sexual health, encouraging listeners to consider the benefits of integrating sexual health monitoring into their wellness routines.Elliot's innovative approach to sexual health technology is positioned as a tool for enhancing relationships and improving quality of life, beyond just addressing medical concerns.DISCLAMER >>>>>> The Ditch Lab Coat podcast serves solely for general informational purposes and does not serve as a substitute for professional medical services such as medicine or nursing. WARNING: Sexually Explicit Discussion After practicing emergency medicine for decades, Dr. Elliot Justin noticed a critical gap in men's health care: There was no objective way to monitor erectile health, meaning that diagnoses and treatment prescriptions were made in the dark. Now the founder of FirmTech, Dr. Justin has created the world's first FDA-registered device for monitoring and improving men's erectile health, pleasure, and performance, while also providing insights into other areas of men's health, such as cardiovascular function. FirmTech recently won the Healthcare Startup Business Award from the Science & Engineering Health Technologies Alliance.
