What's up Bro's?! This week we are joined by our fellow Philadelphian Kate Casey of Reality Life with Kate Casey to discuss all things Real Housewives. She fills us in on some great Sports Doc recommendations in the beginning before we dive into the state of Orange County. We discuss whether or not the friendships seem genuine and can this show continue with how it's currently going? Then we're on to RHONY and Kate is fresh off of an interview with Jessel (which airs Thursday, make sure you tune in) and we finally get to get deeper into Jessel's story. She opens up to her mom about IVF and her difficult journey with conceiving the twins. It's nice to hear her finally soften up and be vulnerable and her strength is admirable in sharing this difficult journey with fertility. Meanwhile, Erin has had it with Sai and Brynn in the aftermath of her party. However when confronted, Sai doesn't care and everyone in the group writes off Brynn's flirting as "that's just Brynn". One, Sai needs to either bring her own bagged lunches or stop complaining about food everywhere because its getting old quick. Two, just because Brynn is a known flirt, does not mean that her behavior with Abe was appropriate. Instead of the two women apologizing for clearly being rude, the emphasis is placed on Erin for being "too sensitive". The show is getting better and better and we think Bravo is doing a great job in bringing in the new era of Real Housewives. All that and a whole lot more on todays episode! Lastly, Coyne give Knoll some NFL trivia in Stumptown (1:00:41).
It's hard to know what F1 fans are most excited about; the impending season of Drive to Survive or the opening race of the Formula One season. That question underlines the ever growing rise of the sports documentary. It might feel like every code, team and athlete has a series, but what makes a truly outstanding story? Today, Patrick Stack speaks to Warren Smith from Box to Box Films, the team behind Drive to Survive, golf's Full Swing and surfing's Make or Break, among others. We ask how they convince sport's biggest stars to be vulnerable and how they endeavour to keep the format fresh. Featured: Warren Smith, Box to Box Films. Subscribe to the ABC Sport Newsletter

Sports doctor, Dr. David Chao joined the show. He compared it to the other Steelers that have missed games this year due to concussions. David talked about how much injuries have changed over the years and how they're treated with the advancements in science. Dr. Chao said a big part of a concussion comes down to an honest reporting of symptoms from the player.

Sports Doctor, Dr. David Chao joined the show. David said the difference between pectoral muscle and pectoral tendon was a huge difference – the muscle is much easier to rehab from at a quicker pace, which is why TJ Watt is only looking at a 4-6 week injury. David then got into the Najee Harris injury and thinks through video it looks more like an ankle sprain instead of a Lisfranc injury, which Najee said he had during the preseason. He said he's pessimistic about Najee playing this week against New England. He isn't sold on Harris being good to go for the game even if he practices a little bit this week.

I started a closed Facebook group with the goal of improving our patient education and communication, so we can all accomplish better outcomes with these people who’ve trusted us as guides to accomplish their goals. I think if we can improve our communication (verbal, visual and kinesthetic), we can better assist our patients in completion of their treatment plan (what that is it’s up to you) so they can accomplish their shot and long-term goals. The purpose of this podcast is not to address ways we can do educate or communicate (you can get all of that in the group). The goal was to answer some of the questions I’ve had members ask me. Show Notes Here’s the questions/ talking points verbatim as they came to me after I asked, “What would you like to see from this group?” I’m hoping to learn more about what it’s like being a Sports DOC, as well as different ways to explain the various subjects to my future patients. See variety of approaches and implementation of active care into treatments so patients understand importance. What they learned I would say, but more of the patient communication aspect. Like listening to your podcast the different way people explain things to patients and talk about their approach with patient care My biggest inquire is about learning how to give proper patient education and understanding the verbiage for them to comply with the treatment and/or at home exercises. I am in student clinic not seeing athletes, just general population, and they just want the passive modalities and don’t want to work for their care even though it would benefit them greatly. My main goal, as a student, is to see what is working for those DC’s who are practicing and create my own system of patient education for when I am seeing patients. Then in turn sharing what works for me. I'm open to anything. Always working to recognize self selection bias when addressing individual patient needs. In short, evidence informed strategies (verbal or manual palliatives) to facilitate improved patient outcomes. I love talking cues! I’ll definitely have to listen to that soon! Thank you! Im looking to find new/better ways to inform and explain things to my clients/future patients...i have a love for fitness and just started chiro school with plans to be primarily a sports chiro. I would say clinical cases and how they were or could be approached. Also some business info could never go wrong.
