Thomas is a wildland firefighter turned alternative therapy practitioner. After his wildland fire engine captain died suddenly from a heart attack, his entire world came crumbling down. He began to read every book he could on holistic wellness and alternative medicine, and was determined to find a way out of this insanity. You don't have to be a shaman or shamanic practitioner to work with the healing powers of nature. Our ancestors knew what would heal them as general knowledge. It is time to reclaim and relearn this knowledge too!
Thomas Wurm spent 15 years with U.S. Forest Service but was swept into a debilitating cycle of grief that ruined his health after his best friend suffered an untimely death. While dealing with his grief, Thomas experienced an out-of-body experience that altered his consciousness. When he came back into his body, his nervous system couldn't handle the energy, so fear, anxiety, and physical symptoms began to take over. He suffered from mania and debilitating anxiety. When his acupuncturist recommended attending training to learn NLP, he went along with it. He then took the advanced training as well. He went on to learn the Mental and Emotional Release® technique, which led him a positive shift for his entire body. He ended up leaving the U.S. Forest Service to start his own company, Mountain Mind Tricks, and he's written four books since then. These days assists clients in finding their own path to healing.Mountain Mind Tricks - Alternative Therapy & Energy Healing

The implementation of single-use technology in the pharma industry is on the rise, and so is the discussion about sustainability. Critics and single-use supporters alike throw their arguments around the internet. Despite every objection, some specialists claim that single-use technologies are not only non-threatening to the environment but are even more sustainable than other technologies. The discussions about single-use technology have become regular, especially since the Covid-19 pandemic. This unforeseen event has made biopharma companies all over the world struggle with the high demand for single-use consumables, not meeting delivery times or volumes. While the majority is happy to have modern solutions like single-use consumables, others are quite sceptical. In order to understand how popular single-use consumables really are and why this topic is so important, one has to look at some facts and figures. Single-use Technology – Facts and Figures Already 90% of pharmaceutical companies are using single-use tubing for disposable applications, 89% disposable filter cartridges, and 85% have single-use bags in use. Impressively, the market analysis resulted in a global compound annual growth rate (GAGR) for single-use technology in the biopharmaceutical segment of over 10% from 2019 to 2024. The numbers speak for themselves and, as mentioned before, the trend of single-use technology neither has stopped yet nor is it expected to all too soon. And why would it, since single-use technology has a lot of important advantages over other, older systems, especially in cell and gene therapy, but also in CAR T-cell therapy, as Katy Spinks explains: “The use of single-use systems is particularly important for cell and gene products because maintaining sterility and the aseptic nature of processing is so critical.” Katy Spinks, Cell and Gene expert and member of Single Use Support's Board of Directors In contrast to other technologies and systems, such as durable stainless-steel manufacturing installations, single-use technology has major advantages. Bioprocess containers and fluid pathways are preassembled and guarantee sterile handling of biologics. Also, the production line is faster, and the output is increased. While factors like agility, scalability and independent supplier choice are obvious benefits, there are two particular advantages that some may not expect: cost reduction and sustainability. Reducing costs With Single-Use Technology One of the main advantages is the financial aspect. As one can see in the provided infographic, the initial investment costs can be lowered by 40%. Additionally, single-use technology has proven to be extremely cost-effective due to several saving opportunities: Time savings Energy savings Water savings Less instrumentation/utility demand required Lower investment costs Tightly connected to the financial aspect is the extremely important topic of sustainability. The main reasons for expense reduction are clearly related to sustainability issues concerning energy consumption. While older systems need more energy and require higher investment costs, single-use technologies provide modern options, more efficiency and cost-reduction. Sustainability and Single-Use Technologies Now more than ever, sustainability is becoming increasingly significant. While many critics seem to think that single-use technologies are not “green” enough, it is proven that quite the opposite is the case. Only 0.01% of annually generated plastic residues are single-use technologies from biopharma. Besides, single-use technologies and their manufacturers have very strict guidelines, which need to be followed. “Single-use solution providers have to provide single-use systems that can be separated into their base materials by the manufacturer. Products then are easily recyclable.” Thomas Wurm, CEO and founder of Single Use Support. There are several reasons why single-use technologies are more sustainable than outdated s...

Today, I'm talking with Thomas Wurm about becoming awakened by heart-fire. Thomas is the creator of Mountain Mind Tricks, a wildland firefighter, an author, a Master Practitioner in NLP, Hypnosis, and Mental Emotional Release, among many other very interesting things. His company, Mountain Minds Tricks, was founded to aid in the mental health crisis for wildland firefighters and other first responders. We're diving into the path that led him to this work... from being a very open child to having a near-death experience to losing a cherished friend and mentor. We're discussing how the quest to heal his anxiety turned into finding his true and real self and his real calling not long after. What to Listen For: The loss that led Thomas to this work Coping with loss through alcohol and what changed when he stopped The life-changing occurrence that changed everything for him The physical manifestations of his trauma "Chronic pain in my neck, back, knees, all my joints... my stomach would hurt all the time, and all of a sudden, I had this gluten intolerance thing that showed up. I was never gluten intolerant before. So after the trauma, there was this gluten intolerance. I had heat in my body to the point where I was always hot. I had a fever of probably 99 for like a year, so my whole body was out of whack. I had really bad anxiety, especially health anxiety. You know how you get little pains in your body? It was like the end of the world for me. I mean, I would totally lose it with that. My pupils were always dilated. I had really crazy stuff going on in my head all the time. It was just hard to even go to work at this point. I mean, it was getting pretty desperate and just a lot of despair in my life and pretty hopeless at that point." How a near-death experience in high school altered who he was overnight Not realizing he'd had a near-death experience until much later in life Turning to mediation, yoga, Kung Fu, classes, and reading after his experience Coming back to these modalities after experiencing his loss Going into a deep meditation and asking the universe to open his third eye - and what happened next How this through his body even more out of whack and more negatively impacted his health "I don't recommend doing something like that, but it was quite the experience that changed everything for me. Again." How his practice has allowed him to access different parts of himself "My heart center intuition is like off the charts now; there's a lot of natural healing gifts that I was given as far as helping people shift their energy. The work I do now at the Timeline Therapy is just so congruent with that stuff. We're shifting the subconscious beliefs." Being in a highly masculine field with a lot of closed off, male energy as someone who is super open and guided by intuition Having another spiritual experience with this acupuncturist, who is also a shaman "I had another spiritual experience where we actually changed timelines and, this person that passed away actually came and helped me release things. It was probably even more powerful the second time this experience happened to me. So, the acupuncture is helping, but then when that happened, it was like a major shift." How this was the seed for his deep drive to start helping people The voice that told him he was going to write a book while he was deep in meditation How writing and journaling regularly help The power he found in connecting with source energy Being open to mystical experiences from a very young age Going to NLP training and seeing so many synchronicities that he knew this was what he was meant to do "I received my breakthrough session as part of the training, and that breakthrough session of the mental-emotional release was when, I can say that breakthrough was so much deeper and the near-death experience stuff and the grief.

Societal norms tend to dictate a reliance on the rational mind for life decisions, but we must work hard to avoid this in order to connect with our higher selves. Turning off the mind's ever-flowing fountain of thoughts will allow the heart and gut to be heard. Once all three brains are connected and “allowed” to properly function, the seeker will form a conduit to the higher-self, opening up to ancient wisdoms because the very nature of language is that every word loses truth in translation. The only way to sync all three brains is through relaxation and meditation. You are indeed integrating your mind and body, and this will allow you to hear your higher-self for the first time. When all three brains are connected, the seeker will open the gate for heart coherence. Heart coherence is when the heart is vibrating and beating in a positive emotion giving you a sense of well-being, and it is the next step toward your Heart-Fire activation. Simply breathe into your heart center and hold love for something like a pet or spouse.14 This is the one-minute method that is recommended by the Heart Math Institute to achieve heart coherence. A seeker of truth and harmony wants to integrate the gut, heart, and brain because it unlocks sensory inputs that are typically blocked by the rational mind. Unconsciously blocking input from your entire nervous system is a learned skill in the industrious age of production. Industrious production does not want you to truly feel your environment because this technique of living doesn't conform to the accepted picture of reality. The goal of living using your gut, heart, and brain is to achieve the feeling of Pono; feeling right with self on all levels of life. By integrating the entire nervous system, you will open the gate to Heart-Fire activation and heart coherence, and you will allow the process of opening your heart center to begin. Heart-Fire activation will also strengthen your spiritual practice by bringing unconditional love and compassion into your life. Remember: unconditional love and compassion are the vibrations and frequencies that manifest your soul's contract! By holding this vibration, you are commanding your dreams and your future. Even right now, your highest potential is right in front of you, lingering behind a veil. It is simply vibrating at a higher frequency and to obtain it, all you have to do is match that vibration. When your thoughts and emotions are equal to your highest frequency, you will activate your Heart- Fire and miracles will happen.
