As this Saturday morning unfolds, perhaps your mind is already full of responsibilities, conversations, plans or concerns. Whatever this day is asking of you, Jesus begins not with another demand but with a loving invitation. Life has a way of placing weight upon our shoulders. Sometimes it arrives through work, family responsibilities, unexpected circumstances or the quiet pressures that few people ever see. We often try to carry everything ourselves, believing we must stay strong for everyone around us. Yet Jesus never asks us to struggle alone. Instead, He gently calls us to come close to Him, bringing every burden into His safe and faithful hands.  Matthew 11:28–30 (NIV) “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” What a gracious invitation from our Saviour. Jesus does not promise a life without challenges, but He does promise that we never have to face them without Him. As we place today's worries, responsibilities and unanswered questions before Him, our hearts begin to settle because His strength becomes greater than our own. So today, let's gently remind ourselves that fear will not win, because Christ walks beside us, carrying what we were never meant to carry alone. Father, thank You for Your constant care and for inviting us into Your presence. Thank You that we never have to hide our weariness from You. Lord Jesus, help every listener who feels tired, overwhelmed or anxious today. Replace heaviness with Your peace, strengthen those whose hearts feel weary and remind each one that Your grace is more than enough for every moment they will face. Whatever this morning already feels like, let's come together before the Lord and discover the comfort of knowing that He cares deeply for every part of our lives. Some burdens are easy for others to see, while many are carried quietly within the heart. We may smile through the day while carrying concerns about our families, our health, our work or the future. Yet our heavenly Father sees every hidden weight we carry. He never asks us to pretend we are stronger than we feel. Instead, He gently invites us to place every care into His loving hands because His heart is full of compassion for His children. 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” What a beautiful invitation for today. The Lord's care is deeply personal. He knows our names, understands our circumstances and welcomes every honest prayer we bring. As we release today's burdens into His hands, we discover that His peace quietly replaces the weight we were never meant to carry alone. So today, let's gently remind ourselves that fear will not win, because Jesus Christ lovingly carries what has become too heavy for our hearts. Father, thank You for caring about every detail of our lives. Thank You that nothing is too small to bring before You and nothing is too great for Your loving care. Lord Jesus, bless every listener today. The responsibilities of the day may be finished, yet thoughts continue to move from one concern to another. Conversations are replayed. Questions remain unanswered. Tomorrow begins to arrive before tonight has even ended. Many people understand that struggle. The world becomes quieter, yet the mind can become louder. It is often during these moments that worries try to convince us that everything depends upon us. We can feel pressure to solve every problem, answer every question, and carry every responsibility. Yet God never asked us to carry tomorrow before tomorrow arrives. Psalm 4 offers a gentle reminder that true rest is found in the presence of God. David speaks of lying down in peace because his confidence is rooted in the Lord's care. His safety is not built upon perfect circumstances. His peace is not dependent upon having every answer. His confidence rests in the faithfulness of God. Father, thank You for carrying me through this day. Thank You for every blessing, every provision, every unseen protection, and every reminder of Your presence. Jesus, tonight I place this day into Your hands. TEMPO DE REFLETIR 01796 – 15 de junho de 2026 Mateus 5:29 – Se o teu olho direito te faz tropeçar, arranca-o e lança-o de ti; pois te convém que se perca um dos teus membros, e não seja todo o teu corpo lançado no inferno. O nervo ótico é uma das avenidas através das quais o pecado penetra na mente humana. Cristo disse que o adultério, por exemplo, começa com um olhar impuro (Mt 5:28). Então a solução proposta seria arrancar o olho direito, que, no conceito popular antigo, enxergava melhor. Mas, será que o problema ficaria resolvido? E o olho esquerdo não pode fazer alguém tropeçar? Obviamente, esse conselho de Cristo não deve ser interpretado literalmente, pois nesse caso teríamos um mundo de caolhos. No versículo seguinte Cristo dá o mesmo conselho caso a mão direita fizer você tropeçar: Corte-a fora! Assim, além de caolhos, você teria também uma multidão de manetas. E se você continuar cortando tudo o que o faz pecar, o que sobraria? Orígenes, um dos maiores eruditos da igreja, no século III, combinou esses textos com a declaração de Cristo de que há alguns homens “que a si mesmos se fizeram eunucos, por causa do reino dos céus” (Mt 19:12), e se castrou. Isso mostra que a interpretação literal de um simbolismo pode afetar a a vida física. “Cristo usa aqui uma figura de linguagem. Ele não requer a mutilação do corpo [que é o templo do Espírito Santo], mas o controle dos pensamentos. O recusar-se a contemplar o mal é tão eficaz como o fazer-se cego, e tem a vantagem adicional de reter a visão e utilizá-la para aquilo que é bom. Uma raposa às vezes rói a própria pata, presa numa armadilha, a fim de escapar. De igual modo um lagarto sacrifica sua cauda, ou uma lagosta suas tesouras. “Cristo aconselha simbolicamente arrancar o olho ou amputar a mão para salientar que se deve tomar uma decisão resoluta para resguardar-se do mal. O cristão faria bem em seguir o exemplo de Jó, o qual disse: ‘Fiz aliança com meus olhos; como, pois, os fixaria eu numa donzela?'” (Jó 31:1) (SDA Bible Commentary, v. 5, p. 337). Como podemos evitar maus pensamentos? Veja o conselho inspirado: “Os que não querem cair presa dos enganos de Satanás, devem guardar bem as vias de acesso à alma; devem-se esquivar de ler, ver ou ouvir tudo quanto sugira pensamentos impuros” (Atos dos Apóstolos, p. 518). Reflita sobre isso no dia de hoje e ore comigo agora: Grande Deus e a Pai: coloco os meus olhos, a minha boca, a minha mente, o meu coração, em Tuas mãos. Por favor. Toma conta de tudo isso. And the peace of God… will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” As this day comes to an end, there may still be thoughts competing for your attention. There may be concerns that remain unresolved, conversations you wish had gone differently, or questions that continue to linger in the background of your mind. The temptation is often to carry those things into the night and quietly rehearse them long after the day has finished. Many people know what that feels like. The mind becomes busy even when the world around us grows quiet. Yet the Apostle Paul offers a different path. Instead of carrying every worry alone, he encourages us to bring our concerns to God in prayer. He reminds us that peace is not found by controlling every outcome. Peace is found by placing our trust in the One who holds tomorrow securely in His hands. The peace of God is one of heaven's great gifts. It does not always remove every question immediately, nor does it guarantee that every answer arrives overnight. What it does provide is something precious: the assurance that God remains present, God remains faithful, and God remains at work even while we rest. Father, thank You for bringing me safely to the close of this day. Thank You for every moment of grace, every unseen protection, and every reminder that You have been with me throughout this journey. Jesus, tonight I place my worries into Your hands. I release the concerns that I cannot solve, the situations I cannot control, and the questions I cannot yet answer. Help me trust that Your wisdom is greater than mine and that Your care reaches further than I can see. Holy Spirit, quiet every anxious thought and calm every restless concern. Let the peace of Christ settle deeply within my heart. Help me sleep with confidence, knowing that I am loved, protected, and safely held by God. We reflect on what still needs our attention, what remains unfinished, and what may be waiting for us in the days ahead. Sometimes those thoughts arrive quietly. Other times they come carrying worry, uncertainty, or questions that seem difficult to answer. Many people spend a great deal of energy trying to hold tomorrow together before it arrives. Yet tomorrow has never belonged to us. It has always belonged to God. The Lord who carried you through today is already present in every moment of tomorrow. Nothing waiting ahead will surprise Him. No challenge will appear beyond His awareness. No step will be taken outside His care. That does not mean there will never be difficulties. The Scripture itself speaks of moments when we stumble. Yet it also reminds us that we are upheld by the hand of God. We may bend beneath life's pressures, but we do not face them unsupported. Father, thank You for every way You have guided me through this day. Thank You for Your faithfulness in moments I recognised and in moments I did not even see. Thank You that Your care extends beyond today and into every tomorrow. Jesus, help me release the future into Your hands. Where uncertainty creates worry, replace it with trust. Where questions remain unanswered, replace them with peace. Teach me to rest in the confidence that You are already preparing the way ahead. Lord, remind me that my security is not found in knowing everything that will happen. My security is found in knowing that You will be there when it does. Across the world, from Atlanta to Perth, from Abuja to Santiago and Singapore, may hearts find comfort in the assurance that God is holding tomorrow with the same faithfulness He has shown today. TEMPO DE REFLETIR 01789 – 8 de junho de 2026 Isaías 53:12 – Pois Ele levou o pecado de muitos, e pelos transgressores intercedeu. Moisés foi um intercessor por excelência. Muitas vezes, rogou em favor dos israelitas. Uma vez, dentro de sua estratégia militar contra os amalequitas, enquanto Josué liderava o exército no vale, Moisés subiu uma montanha juntamente com Arão e Hur. Enquanto uma batalha física era travada no vale nas mãos de Josué, outra batalha espiritual tinha lugar na montanha, com Moisés levantando as mãos sobre o conflito, ajudado por Arão e Hur até o fim do dia. Jó também dizia: “Assim como alguém defende o seu amigo, eu preciso de quem defenda o meu direito diante de Deus” (Jó 16:21, NTLH). Paulo orou pelos irmãos da cidade de Éfeso: “Não deixo de dar graças por vocês mencionando-os em minhas orações” (Ef 1:16). Quando Pedro estava sendo severamente tentado por Satanás, Jesus saiu em sua defesa e disse: “Mas eu orei por você, para que a sua fé não desfaleça. E quando você se converter, fortaleça os seus irmãos” (Lc 22:32). Suponha que você estivesse enfrentando uma crise. Como você se sentiria se, justamente nesse momento, Jesus o chamasse pelo seu nome e dissesse “Eu orei por você”? Jesus ora por causas específicas em nossa vida, como fez no caso de Pedro. As orações dEle são cheias de sabedoria e poder, adequadas às necessidades de cada um, como foi no caso de Pedro. Nenhuma oração intercessora, no entanto, pode se comparar à oração de Jesus em João 17. Esta é a oração mais extensa de Jesus. Nos versos 6 a 19, Ele orou pelos discípulos e, finalmente, nos versos 20 a 26, orou por todos os crentes. Nos sentimos fortalecidos e encorajados quando alguém nos toca o ombro e diz: “Estou orando por você.” Às vezes, queremos passar a imagem de que estamos por cima de qualquer situação, de que somos super-homens e supermulheres. Há violência por todos os lados. Você sai de casa de manhã e não está seguro de voltar à noite. As empresas que prestam serviço de segurança têm crescido muito nos últimos anos. Quem não deseja proteger-se? No verso de hoje, encontramos a receita divina para andar seguro. “Quem anda em integridade”, afirma o escritor bíblico, “anda seguro”. Integridade, em hebraico tõm, significa completo. Se as flechas envenenadas estiverem ferindo todo mundo, você estará seguro se todo o seu corpo estiver protegido no refúgio. Não pode deixar nada do lado de fora. Nem a cabeça, nem os braços, nem os pés. O refúgio é sua segurança. Esta é a recomendação divina: Ande nos caminhos do Senhor com todo o seu ser, de forma completa, com sua mente, com seu corpo e com sua alma. Não se divida, não se desintegre. Isso pode ser fatal. A antítese de integridade, na opinião de Salomão, é a perversão. O dicionário define a perversão como corrupção ou deterioração. Quando uma pessoa morre, seu corpo entra em deterioração. Pretender servir a dois senhores é cruel. Nenhum ser dividido tem paz. Vive, mas está morto. Desintegrando-se. Deteriorando-se num processo lento, doloroso e irreversível. Há esperança para quem se feriu psicológica e emocionalmente tentando viver uma vida dupla? Há sim. Quando Jesus esteve na Terra, encontrou pessoas destruídas, como a samaritana, Maria Madalena e Zaqueu, e os reconstruiu por dentro. Ele os fez de novo e os curou. TEMPO DE REFLETIR 01685 – 24 de fevereiro de 2026 I Samuel 16:7 – Porque o Senhor não vê como vê o homem. O homem vê o exterior, porém o Senhor, o coração. As notícias eletrizaram todo Israel. Foi um dos mais importantes achados arqueológicos dos tempos modernos. Arqueólogos desenterraram um fragmento de pedra com uma referência ao rei Davi. Pela primeira vez, uma fonte fora da Bíblia confirmava o mais famoso rei de Israel. O nome de Davi aparece mais de 1.000 vezes no Antigo e no Novo Testamento – mais do que qualquer outro personagem bíblico. Davi foi pastor de ovelhas, soldado, guerreiro, músico, poeta, compositor, autor, rei e construtor de um império. Ele não somente mudou a história de Israel em seu próprio tempo, mas deixou sua marca naquela nação para sempre. Davi transformou Israel em um poderoso império. Davi conquistou proeminência em um momento singular. Os reinos da Assíria e do Egito estavam em declínio. Davi usou sua experiência militar para reagrupar as forças de Israel. Ele organizou exércitos fortes, bem treinados e transformou-os em uma poderosa máquina de guerra. Sob sua liderança, as fronteiras da nação foram expandidas e os impostos, reduzidos. Houve grande prosperidade. No reino de Davi, Jerusalém foi fundada para ser a capital religiosa e política da nação. Os salmos de Davi revelam sua intensa devoção a Deus. Por vezes, Davi ergue-se até as alturas do êxtase. Outras vezes, ele encontra-se nas masmorras do desespero. Às vezes, alguns dos seus salmos revelam que ele está perdoado, enquanto em outros ele sente a pesada mão da condenação de Deus. Quando Natã, o profeta, confrontou Davi sobre o adultério com Bate-Seba, Davi exclamou: “Compadece-te de mim, ó Deus, segundo a Tua benignidade; e, segundo a multidão das Tuas misericórdias, apaga as minhas transgressões” (Sl 51:1). Deus fala de novo em nossos dias. Ele nos convida a expressar-Lhe com sinceridade nossas emoções. Ele nos anima a despir nossa alma diante dEle, buscando conhecê-Lo. Nunca poderemos chocá-Lo. Ele nos conclama a acreditarmos que Ele está sempre disponível – porque Ele está! Nas conflitantes emoções interiores e nas circunstâncias mutáveis ao nosso redor, Ele é constante. Podemos contar com isso. Reflita sobre a vida de Davi e ore comigo agora: Senhor Deus e Pai, nossa oração é a mesma do salmista: Compadece-te de todos nós, segundo a Tua bondade e, segundo a multidão das Tuas misericórdias, apaga todos os nossos pecados. TEMPO DE REFLETIR 01626 – 27 de dezembro de 2025 Provérbios 28:9 – Se alguém se recusa a ouvir a lei, até suas orações serão detestáveis. As Escrituras nos dizem que um dos resultados da desobediência é que nossas orações não serão ouvidas. A palavra “detestável” significa odioso ou abominável, que inspira aversão. Ninguém deseja que Deus veja suas orações dessa forma, não é mesmo? É importante pedir sempre a Deus que Ele nos mostre o que deseja que façamos. Mesmo quando pensamos que estamos fazendo tudo certo, é sempre bom orar: “Senhor, mostra-me qualquer ponto em que eu não esteja obedecendo. Quero viver de acordo com as Tuas regras”. Jesus disse: “Se você quer entrar na vida, obedeça aos mandamentos” (Mt 19:7). Ele sabia que nada confere mais paz e confiança às pessoas que saber que estão agindo segundo o desejo de Deus. A Bíblia afirma que na obediência encontraremos misericórdia (Sl 28:6), também a paz (Sl 37:37) e a felicidade (Pv 29:18). Não viver em obediência resulta em graves consequências (Pv 15:10), orações não respondidas (Pv 28:9) e incapacidade de receber o que Deus tem para nós (1Co 6:9). Andar em obediência diz respeito também a atender às instruções específicas dEle. Se Deus o instruiu a descansar e você não o faz, isso é desobediência. Se Ele mandou que deixasse de fazer certo tipo de trabalho e você não atende, isso é desobediência. Deus também pode pedir-lhe que aceite um emprego diferente, suspenda certa atividade ou mude sua rotina em relação a algo. Não importa o que lhe peça, lembre-se que Ele o faz para seu bem. Os caminhos de Deus são sempre melhores que os nossos, e a obediência à Palavra abre o caminho para que nossas orações sejam ouvidas. Não tenha medo! Permita que Jesus controle a sua vida. Ofereça a Ele o “volante”, vá para o banco do carona e tenha certeza absoluta que tudo vai ser mudado e resolvido. Do jeito dEle e no tempo dEle. Faça isso no dia de hoje e ore comigo agora: Deus, ensina-me a Tua Palavra. Dá-me a compreensão dos Teus caminhos de modo que eles se tornem parte de mim. Mantém-me no caminho reto para que minhas orações nunca sejam detestáveis a Ti. Em nome de Jesus, amém!
