Veel Radio 2-luisteraars vallen in een soort gat als de Top 2000 is afgelopen. Voor de beleggers onder hen heb ik gelukkig eenzelfde soort traditie, zeg maar de beleggersversie van de Top 2000. Elk jaar vraag ik experts wat ze van het komende beleggingsjaar verwachten. Dit jaar was het de dertigste keer. Een terugblik is nuttig. Heeft het überhaupt zin om naar deze experts te luisteren? Een jaar geleden verwachtten ze dat de AEX in het rood zou eindigen. Daar hebben ze gelijk in gekregen. In al die dertig jaar voorspelde men slechts twee keer een daling. De andere keer was in 1999. Als ik de commentaren teruglees dan valt op dat men het vooral over de stijgende inflatie had. En dat de centrale banken wel moesten gaan ingrijpen. Dat zou leiden tot een hogere obligatierente. Op alle punten dus prima gescoord. Dit jaar hebben ze het vooral over de aanstaande recessie, de Amerikaanse dollar die gaat verzwakken en een obligatierente die niet gaat dalen. Opvallend is dat vrijwel iedereen ervan uitgaat dat het eerste halfjaar slecht gaat worden en dat in de tweede helft pas weer een herstel optreedt. Dat is ook de verwachting als ik naar de strategen van de grote zakenbanken luister. Het is dus wel heel erg de consensusgedachte. Gemiddeld verwacht men dat AEX op oudejaarsdag 2023 op 725 punten staat. Een aardige plus van een procent of vijf. Ik krijg weleens kritiek dat de verwachte bewegingen altijd erg beperkt zijn. In de praktijk zijn de uitslagen een stuk groter. Dat klopt, maar als er zo veel mensen meedoen, ruim 120 dit jaar, dan krijg je al gauw bescheiden uitslagen. Ik vraag de experts ook naar hun favoriete aandeel. Afgelopen jaar waren hun keuzes zozo. De beste expert zat long Shell en short Just Eat Takeaway. De perfecte keuze met een netto rendement van 96%. Maar de hele groep professionals had gemiddeld ietsje verloren. Mocht u ondanks deze matige cijfers toch willen weten wat ze voor 2023 verwachten: hun toplijst bestaat uit ASML, Philips, Adyen en ASM International. ASML en Adyen en ASM International vallen in de categorie koersen naar beneden, winsten omhoog. Philips is een typische herstelkandidaat. Men hoopt, met nadruk op hoop, dat de zaken ten goede gaan keren en het bedrijf langzaam naar een afwikkeling van de apneuaffaire kan gaan toewerken. Denk daarbij wel aan de tegeltjeswijsheid ‘hope is not a strategy'. Unibail is het aandeel dat u maar beter links kan laten liggen, aldus de experts. Het floplijstje wordt afgemaakt met ArcelorMittal, Exor en Randstad. Overigens, de beste les die we uit de enquête kunnen leren, is wel dat zelf nadenken te belangrijk is om aan anderen over te laten. Zelfs als die anderen experts zijn. In this episode, Frido shared his wealth of experience from 17 years in recruitment and how his Dutch-Hungarian upbringing influenced his service-oriented approach toward his clients and candidates.   Born in the Netherlands, Frido trained as a lawyer before discovering his true passion in recruitment and executive search in 2005. That's when he joined a recruitment firm and helped the founder grow to 55 employees before selling it to Randstad in 2010. After the transaction, he remained on the board as Commercial Director and helped the new owner achieve 20-30% year-on-year growth. He stayed with Randstad until 2018 when he decided to start a new recruitment firm from scratch. It was in 2005 that he found his true calling as a recruitment professional. In 2005 he was asked to join a recruitment firm in a start-up phase, called ProfiPower. Founded by Dutch-Hungarian entrepreneur Ilonka Jankovich, he later became an equity partner and they were able to build the business into a market-leading recruitment firm in Hungary. Prior to selling it to Randstad in 2010, they had a team of 55 employees! What were the factors that led to such rapid growth? Frido shared two factors:   Service Orientation - they stick to the principle of delivering personalized service. Richard has a long history in the recruitment sector.  He originally worked for one of the biggest organisations in the world and later bought into a boutique agency as a partner.  Richard was at the helm of that business for a long time and eventually sold the business to Randstad.  He then stayed in the company for a further three years post-acquisition, before exiting and having some time out of the industry. After a period of time believing he would leave the industry forever, he was persuaded to come back and joined Acre back when it was a 10-person business. It now has well over a hundred staff and 4 international locations. Nu blijkt dat die vooral Europeanen treffen en veel minder het Kremlin, vertelt Wierd Duk in een nieuwe aflevering van de podcast Het Land van Wierd Duk. „Als de sancties op deze manier blijven voortbestaan, zal Duitsland volgens een prominente Duitse politica met 20-30% verarmen. Dat betekent een gedeeltelijke de-industrialisatie. Hoelang kunnen de Duitsers dit volhouden?” Verder in de podcast: steeds meer mensen verlaten de Randstad voor een bestaan op het platteland. Wierd Duk was in het huiskamercafé in Westerwijtwerd waar twee Amsterdammers sinds deze zomer de scepter zwaaien. „Zij kozen voor een rustig bestaan, omdat ze vonden dat Amsterdam zo langzamerhand is veranderd in een toeristenkermis.” Een Ierse docent werd gearresteerd omdat hij weigert te erkennen dat er meer geslachten zouden bestaan dan alleen man en vrouw.
