Welcome to Episode #64 of the No Conference for Old Men podcast. Like last season, it was a mixed bag for Houston at the Players Era Festival. With lots of "wisdom and learnings," as Coach Sampson likes to say, the team won two games against Syracuse and Notre Dame. But the Coogs also suffered a close loss to a Tennessee team seeking payback for last season's Elite 8 loss. The Cougars are now 7-1 for the season and are ranked #7 in the coaches poll, #8 in the AP poll, and #9 in KenPom. There's been plenty of time to work on the issues during this 10-day break before facing FSU at the Toyota Center. Please have a listen as the 3 Old Men break down the games from Vegas and provide some thoughts on what to expect from a team-adjustment perspective heading into this final stretch of non-conference games. We also discuss the two elite HS players to sign with the Cougars during the early signing period. - No Conference for Old Men is available for free via Spotify / Apple Podcast / SoundCloud & the GoCoogs.com website; we're also available via the Republic of Football Podcast feed from the folks at Dave Campbell's Texas Football as their only basketball-centric offering - Intro / Exit music: Ground Zero provided by FreeBeats.io - Please follow us on gocoogs.com/old-men/ Learn more about your ad choices. With just five games to go, the Buffalo Bills need to stack wins to stay in the playoff mix. It starts with a huge game against the Bengals at home on Sunday. The Bills will likely be without Joey Bosa for this game against Joe Burrow and the Bengals. Cincinnati is also looking at having Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on the field. The Bengals defense is not good, so the Bills should be able to move the ball on the ground and through the air, so expect a high-scoring game. Kevin Carroll and Andy Young with all that and more on the latest Buffalo End Zone podcast.

Identity lag is real and it's one of the hardest parts of growth. It's that uncomfortable space where you've outgrown who you were, but the world still treats you like your old self. In this Hard Reset episode, Kelly Siegel breaks down why identity lag happens, why it feels so damn frustrating, and how to keep leveling up even when people don't believe in (or understand) the new you yet. If you're evolving, healing, getting disciplined, or changing your life but others can't see it, this episode will help you stay the course and stop shrinking back into the person you've already outgrown. Your new identity is built through repetition, discipline, and proof, not external validation. Key Takeaways

Genetics is rewriting the human story. This week, On Humans takes you behind the scenes of this rapidly evolving frontier via three live-recordings, captured at the Salk Institute's CARTA symposium on ancient DNA. The first episode explores the differences between us and the Neanderthals. For centuries, we tried to understand Neanderthals through stones and bones alone. Now genetics is offering a new tool, allowing researchers to see how ancient bodies and brains developed. In this opening episode, David Gokhman explains what these new tools are revealing about us, Neanderthals, and the lines between us.UP NEXT "Beyond Race: New Surprises About the Shape of Humanity" ~ Monday Dec 1st with Diyendo Massilani"Restless Humanity: The Epic Migrations Into America, Polynesia, and... In the Husker Doc Talk Podcast 2025, Episode 19, Travis Justice and Dr. Rob Zatechka hit the reset button for new listeners and long-time fans alike. After more than 20 years together behind microphones and 13 seasons of this podcast, they remind you what you're signing up for: football, beer, history tangents, and brutally honest Husker talk. The guys crack into a “three-beer podcast” (that might quietly become a four- or five-beer show) featuring local favorites from Kros Strain Brewing and a deep dive into Pliny the Elder – yes, both the beer and the Roman author. Along the way, you'll get craft beer notes, a quick Roman history lesson, and the usual Viking jokes at Dr. Rob's expense before they shift into full football mode. Nebraska's 37–10 beatdown at Penn State takes center stage. Was this the worst performance of the year, or does Minnesota still hold that crown? Travis and Dr. Rob break down why pointing fingers at the quarterback is lazy analysis. They put the spotlight where they believe it belongs: on the offensive and defensive lines, development versus recruiting, and whether Nebraska has slipped backward on defense after losing Tony White and Terrence Knighton. They also dive into T.J. Lateef's outing, how he compares to Dylan Raiola, and why the real issue isn't under center. Emmett Johnson's monster season and quiet Heisman push get a serious look. Is he the best running back in the Big Ten, and what would he look like behind an elite offensive line? The guys talk NIL math, draft grades, transfer portal temptations, and whether Emmett's future is in Lincoln, the NFL, or somewhere chasing a national title. Then it's rivalry week: Iowa vs. Nebraska on Black Friday. Travis explains why Hawkeye fans are strangely comfortable living in the 7–8 win world of Kirk Ferentz, while Dr. Rob shocks everyone by actually picking Iowa to win—and to score on both defense and special teams. They break down Iowa's run game, their shaky passing attack, and how Nebraska should defend a team that can't throw it deep. There's even time for some national drama: Lane Kiffin's flirtation with LSU and Florida, the insanity of coaching expectations in places like Baton Rouge, and why Ole Miss might actually be Kiffin's best long-term play. Of course, the show is brought to you by their friends at G-Defy (GDEFY.com, promo code DocTalk50), Orr Law Group, and Husker Hounds. Hit subscribe on YouTube, drop a comment, and if you found the show through HuskerMax.com, Travis and Dr. Rob say thank you and welcome aboard.

In this episode of Bleav in Celtics, we dive into the highs and lows of the past week for the Boston Celtics. After an encouraging three-game win streak—highlighted by impressive wins over the Cavs, Pelicans, and a tight showdown against the Sixers—the momentum came to a halt with a tough loss to the Houston Rockets. We unpack what went wrong: lack of rebounding, defensive breakdowns, and how the Rockets lit it up from deep while Boston struggled to find offensive rhythm. We also spotlight standout performances from Baylor Scheierman and discuss Jaylen Brown's reduced fourth quarter minutes, plus the ongoing issues with Boston's frontcourt rotation. Then we look ahead to tonight's matchup against the Utah Jazz—a game Boston should win if they lock in defensively and bounce back from recent mistakes. Can Jaylen Brown, Simons, and Schierman lead the charge? Will the Celtics finally dominate the glass and get to the free throw line? Let's talk about it. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
