Part 1 of 2. Sammy Blindell is the "Brand Builder". In this episode you will learn the important difference between your "brand" and "branding". Essentially your Branding is your "trust mark". It is the symbolism, colors and feel that represents your company and business. That is the visible part of your iceberg that shows your business. Your brand is the part of the iceberg that is under water. What does your company represent? What is your mission statement? Learn that your brand is how you contribute to society. That is your BRAND. How do you show up? However what is your "fame name"? Sammy is the "Brand Builder" What is your brand promise? Her promise is defined in her fame name. She builds brands... Your brand promise must reflect what you do differently and better than your competition. Does your current brand identify and define your significant delivery of your product and services or else your customers and potential clients are confused. She says, "Show up and shine!" Did you know that YOU may be sabotaging your practice success every single day? What? Why? That’s because it’s in our human nature to repeat the same patterns of thinking and behavior over and over again. This is the exact self-destructive thinking that PRACTICE MASTERY Podcast host, Dr. Alan Chong discusses this in another in a series of solo episodes. He begins with asking you to evaluate your very personal and core values and beliefs. Dr. Chong says, "This often faulty thinking defines your practice." As an example, defining your practice preferences, style and expertise is essential to establishing your credibility with your clientele. He uses the example of a new patient by referral is already a more confident patient. They have already been briefed on the what, whys and hows of chiropractic as you practice it at the time. Inconsistent focus, policies and procedures undermine all patient experiences with you and the clinic you practice at. Expectation management between you and the patient becomes the key to your success with that patient, where results and retention are your guiding indicators. Mastery is not the achievement of perfection. Far from it! PRACTICE MASTERY podcast show Host Dr. Alan Chong explains the 2 main themes of this podcast’s objective, to give clarity and to promote professional mastery. From Concept to Creation and the Concept of Practice Mastery He takes this solo episode to share his story about the conception and creation of this professional’s podcast. You’ll get an inside look a the WHY of allocating a tremendous amount of his time, energy and resources to devote to a project such as this podcast production. This effort gets revealed to you the listener. PART 1: Podcast from Concept to Creation “It’s been in the works for about 5 years now… It’s part of my Living Legacy to give back to the chiropractic profession.” Dr. Chong defines his intention and direction of the weekly podcast show. Part 2. What does the Concept of Practice Mastery mean to you? Once again, host Dr. Alan Chong attempts to give you the diversity of what mastering your practice might entail. And he emphasizes that PRACTICE MASTERY is a lifelong process, perhaps never truly to be mastered. The journey to some degree of mastery in his practice has so far surpassed 33 years. Dr. Chong recounts the story that it took him over 23 years in practice before he felt a strong sense of confidence in mastering his hands-on adjusting skills as a chiropractor. Effective patient management and communication skills are very much a part of achieving a level of mastery. At that point, he recalls a sense of “knowingness” that what needs to be adjusted gets adjusted and the results are consistently good and satisfying for him as a practitioner. One again, cautioning that when dealing with people, the perfect result in a patient treatment may remain elusive. This episode leaves you to ponder the concept of self personal and professional mastery. In a sense, it really is in your hands to determine where and when you have mastery.
