The Tread Lightly Podcast is a highly informative and engaging podcast that tackles the science behind running in a clear and accessible way. Hosted by Laura, who has been providing informative emails for some time, and Amanda, the podcast combines factual data with no gimmicks or fads, resulting in a perfect balance of information. The hosts tackle various topics related to running, from training techniques to nutrition, and provide easy-to-understand scientific explanations for the when, why, and how of running.

One of the best aspects of The Tread Lightly Podcast is its inclusivity. Unlike many other running podcasts, this one is highly inclusive of runners in perimenopause/menopause, as well as those with chronic issues such as POTS or long Covid. It also caters to runners of various abilities. As a healthcare provider myself, I appreciate their commitment to providing scientifically accurate information. The hosts' dynamic works well together, making it easy to listen to and relate to their experiences.

The only constructive feedback I have is regarding the hosts' repetitive use of certain phrases like "uh-hundred percent." While this may seem like a minor issue, it can become distracting after hearing it multiple times. However, this does not detract from the overall quality of the podcast.

In conclusion, The Tread Lightly Podcast is highly recommended for both beginner and veteran runners alike. The hosts' knowledge and expertise shine through in each episode, delivering valuable information that listeners can trust. Whether you are looking for training tips or nutritional advice backed by research, this podcast has it all. It has certainly changed my perspective on running and has provided me with useful information that I find myself re-listening to episodes and taking notes.
