In today’s world, a Black Woman’s journey, despite many obstacles, often goes unnoticed. What we need most is a safe space to pour into and align with one another uncovering our true feelings. We are all subject to our own individual stories that produces
Hey sis, it's your girl Shanell Lamere, and whew… we made it to Episode 50 of What She Grows Through! This one is personal. Real personal! Because if you're anything like me, you've had moments where your mind feels too full — spinning with ideas, worries, what-ifs, and everything in between. This episode is for the overthinker. The woman who's holding so much—dreams, responsibilities, hopes—and just wants to breathe, focus, and move forward with intention. We're breaking down: The real reasons we get stuck in our heads (and how to call it out) Practical tools I've used to bring clarity back to my mind and flow back into my days How I balance motherhood, entrepreneurship, creativity, and healing—while still keeping myself centered ✨ In honor of our 50th episode, I've created a special gift for you:
Sis, let's talk about it—how many of us were taught that love meant sacrifice? That to be loved, we had to give until there was nothing left? In this episode, we're unlearning those old narratives and redefining love on our own terms. Through my own journey, I've come to realize that love is not struggle. Love is not something we have to earn. Love is care, commitment, reciprocity, and it starts within. We're diving deep into:
What if the secret to discovering your authentic self is actually found in stillness? Welcome back to "What She Grows Through," where today we're slowing down to truly understand what drives us. Life's relentless pace and the endless hustle can drown out our inner voices, but in this episode, we're taking a moment to just breathe and reflect. Growing up in a single-parent household, the concept of nonstop work was all I knew—my mom was always on the move, managing two jobs and home life. It seemed like success was tied to constant motion. But what if I told you that pausing could be just as powerful? Today, we'll explore why taking a beat to reflect isn't laziness—it's a crucial part of growth. We'll dive deep into how our fears of stillness might actually be fears of what we'll discover about ourselves. I'll share my personal battles with anxiety and how embracing calm has led to some of my most profound moments of clarity and peace. So, pour yourself a comforting drink, find a cozy spot, and join me as we discuss how stepping back can help us move forward more intentionally. This is about finding ourselves and valuing what we see. Let's embrace this pause together and rediscover our path to wholeness, empowering each other to find true self-worth and happiness.
What's up Beautiful! Welcome back to What She Grows Through. Today's episode is one I know so many of us can relate to—The Fear of Success. Whew, this one has been hitting me hard lately as I've been going through some major growth. We all have big dreams, but sometimes, right when we're close to achieving them, there's something inside that holds us back. It's not always the fear of failure... sometimes, it's the fear of actually succeeding. In this episode, we're going to talk about that fear—how it brings change, discomfort, and ultimately helps us grow. By finding balance and learning to appreciate how far we've come, we can unlock our full potential. We'll also touch on something just as important—evaluating our relationships, setting boundaries, and making sure we're surrounded by positive energy. It's all part of the journey to living a fuller, more intentional life. So, let's get into it and start overcoming the fear of success, together! Connect and Send in Your Stories on Our Socials!
