In this week's show, Nick talks to Lance Graulich, the founder and CEO of ION Franchising, the industry-leading franchise consultancy and development group, about the ways in which you can turn your business into a franchise, and dynamically increase your reach and your wealth as a result, and how running a franchise may suit your business goals. KEY TAKEAWAYS Franchises are an attractive opportunity for potential business owners, as many of the initial headaches have already been solved, such as branding and marketing. Franchising is the legal relationship that allows you to use a brand and name in order to generate wealth. In franchising, there has to be a reasonable level of control in how this relationship works. The ways in which we can add our own creativity is in the human side of the business - in improving service and how our staff show up. This can make all the difference, and is also what sets one franchise apart from another. A franchise owner is someone who wishes to own and operate a business, but who does not necessarily have the right skill-set or mind-set in order to found a business. In this way, anyone can operate a company. Merriam-Webster's Word of the Day for February 1, 2021 is: gadabout \GAD-uh-bout\ noun : a person who goes from place to place in social activity Examples: "He always thought death was just around the corner. He had no time to waste. As a young man he had been a gadabout, without focus. 'Where some in his situation would have found God, Stephen [Hawking] found physics,' says Mlodinow." — Marcus Berkmann, The Daily Mail (UK), 24 Sept. 2020 "Here's where [Bill] Murray enters the picture as Laura's father, Felix, a semi-retired art dealer and jet-setting gadabout who returns to town just in time to be the devil on his daughter's shoulder." — Ty Burr, The Boston Globe, 30 Sept. 2020 Did you know? If you had to pick the insect most closely related to a gadabout, you might wryly guess the "social butterfly." But there's another bug that's commonly heard buzzing around discussions of the gadabout: the gadfly. Gadfly is a term used for any of a number of winged pests (such as horseflies) that bite or annoy livestock. Since gadflies are known for their nasty bite, it's not surprising that they are named after a sharp chisel or pointed bar used by miners to loosen rock and ore called a "gad." But, although a gadabout's gossip can bite, gadfly doesn't have any clear etymological relation to gadabout, which traces back to the Middle English verb gadden, whose etymology etymologists are still trying to catch.
Day 31 Proverbs 31 http://89days.net/podcasts/ Voice talent by Don Bratschie 31:1 The words of king Lemuel; the oracle which his mother taught him. 31:2 "Oh, my son! Oh, son of my womb! Oh, son of my vows! 31:3 Don't give your strength to women, nor your ways to that which destroys kings. 31:4 It is not for kings, Lemuel; it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes to say, 'Where is strong drink?' 31:5 lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the justice due to anyone who is afflicted. 31:6 Give strong drink to him who is ready to perish; and wine to the bitter in soul: 31:7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. 31:8 Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. 31:9 Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy." 31:10 Who can find a worthy woman? For her price is far above rubies. 31:11 The heart of her husband trusts in her. He shall have no lack of gain. 31:12 She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. 31:13 She seeks wool and flax, and works eagerly with her hands. 31:14 She is like the merchant ships. She brings her bread from afar. 31:15 She rises also while it is yet night, gives food to her household, and portions for her servant girls. 31:16 She considers a field, and buys it. With the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard. 31:17 She girds her waist with strength, and makes her arms strong. 31:18 She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp doesn't go out by night. 31:19 She lays her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle. 31:20 She opens her arms to the poor; yes, she extends her hands to the needy. 31:21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household; for all her household are clothed with scarlet. 31:22 She makes for herself carpets of tapestry. Her clothing is fine linen and purple. 31:23 Her husband is respected in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land. 31:24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and delivers sashes to the merchant. 31:25 Strength and dignity are her clothing. She laughs at the time to come. 31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom. Faithful instruction is on her tongue. 31:27 She looks well to the ways of her household, and doesn't eat the bread of idleness. 31:28 Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also praises her: 31:29 "Many women do noble things, but you excel them all." 31:30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. 31:31 Give her of the fruit of her hands! Let her works praise her in the gates!

These two ladies may look familiar, and you would be right to think that you have seen them somewhere before, the reason is; Barb and Lisa played each other in Semi Final 1 of FunkQuest Season 3. Barb was beaten in the semi final but has agreed to return as 'Sheriff' due to unforseen circumstances. So they play again in this FunkQuest Season 3 Grand Final.Barb was first to choose an Icon. Her answer to the question was that generally she is very easy to shop for, as she loves opening presents regardless of what is inside. She is not very good at telling others what to buy for her.Question 1 for Lisa she chose the' baby shoes' Icon and explained that the last song she danced to was part of a compilaton album of 'Soul Train'. She was dancing in her bathroom to Stevie Wonder.Barb was very happy to answer the next question about dealing with 'cold callers'. When the caller is a person, she likes to keep them talking. Robot callers, not so much. Lisa did not have to name her Craziest relative, in case they were listening but she described the sort of person who always is in the middle of everything, no matter what the topic they have done it, seen it, tried it, started it, finished it. I am sure we all have one of these.Question 3, Barb chose the 'Puffin' Icon and revealed that she was 16 when she got her first bank card. For a couple of years she was dilligent in making sure it always had five dollars in the account.Having been there and seeing animals in their natural habitat and the glory of the scenery, Lisa was able to answer 'Where should everyone go at least once?' with a great deal of enthusiasm.Barb decided in her fourth answer that the record she really wanted to break was that of 'How many times you can lose on FunkQuest but still get to play again.' Not a real record but fun anyway.Lisa chose the 'Sumo Wrestlers' Icon. 'Have you ever had your palm read' was the question and she answered that when she went to India she had done it. The palm reader left her with more questions than answers.'How would you describe humanity to Aliens?' was the final question for Barb. If the aliens were intent on world domination she would explain about the diseases we carry or try to tell them about love and fear or even try to bargain with bits of the world.Final Question of the game was for Lisa and the circus act she would love to take part in is the 'Spinning circle' which the ladies of the 'Cirque de Soleil' do their acrobatics in.What is FunkQuest ?Funkquest is a fun interactive online conversation game that features five rounds.Funksters (players) view a board containing 20 individual icons (pictures) Funksters select an icon from the board which most tweaks their interest. Rachel Fasham | Matthew 2:1-12 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, 'Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.' ... On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshipped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. As Rachel says, these don't seem the most appropriate gifts for a child, but they served to represent who Jesus was and his destiny. What gifts can we offer to Jesus and to his family - the church? This livestreamed service includes a talk from Rachel and is introduced by Susan Haynes with prayers from Ann Fasham. The full video version of this service, including music and much more, can be viewed on YouTube. On Sunday, December 20, 2020, Pastor Joe Troutman preached "The True King Has Come!" from Matthew 2:1-12. "The Kingship of Jesus threatened Herod, and it threatens us, too, but the response of faith is to fall down and worship him." 1. In Search of the King "Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, 'Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him'.” (vs. 1-2) 2. The Disbelief of God's People "When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him..." (v. 3) 3. Gentiles Worship Jesus "When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh." (vs. 10-11)

Healthcare workers across Wisconsin are starting to get the first injections of the Pfizer vaccine for COVID-19. While the process to get all those workers vaccinated could take weeks, the number of COVID-19 patients in area hospitals continues to grow. There are still nearly four times as many COVID-19 patients in the hospital as there were at the worst of the first wave last spring. In this edition of Open Record, the FOX6 Investigators answer the question, 'Where are we in this pandemic?' Recently, Bryan Polcyn was allowed into one COVID wing at a Madison hospital. What did he see? How is that area of the hospital different from any other ICU? What are the nurses saying about the day-to-day life inside those hospital walls? The team explores how Wisconsin looks right now with overall COVID-19 cases and community spread. They also compare Wisconsin's numbers to other states across the country.

Everything we require in order to succeed is already within us, and yet we often look externally for our sources of success. In this week's show, Gavin talks to Vineet Bhartia, founder of the Natural Business Group about the ways in which we can tap into our own innate creative intelligence, and by doing so improve and energise our own path through business. KEY TAKEAWAYS We all seek validation, but many seek it externally. The most important and valuable validation comes from within. The first step is always to create our own unique vision - the business landscape upon which we are able to plant our ideas and watch them grow. We must embrace our own individuality and nurture the uniqueness within ourselves. By doing this we create a sense of identity and what we believe in, as well as establish our goals and values. We create a bridge between where we are now and our vision for the future, by tapping into our creative intelligence. "Saint Romanus was a deacon and exorcist in the Church of Caesarea in Palestine. He happened to be at Antioch in 303 when the Emperor Diocletian's edicts for the general persecution of Christians were published. He could not bear to see so many Christian men, women and children denying their faith in the true God for fear of suffering. As they went to sacrifice to the idols, he ran up, consumed with zeal for righteousness, crying shame on them with a loud voice. He was immediately arrested and brought before the city Prefect. He faced interrogation boldly and to prove the stupidity of the pagan cult, he asked for a child to be brought in, taken at random from the crowd in the public square. Romanus enquired of the lad whether it was more sensible to worship the one and only God and Creator of the world, or the many gods of the pagans. Showing himself wiser than the pagans, the child unhesitatingly decided for the God of the Christians. The Prefect flew into a rage at being made to look ridiculous and ordered the young confessor to be put to the torture straight away in the presence of his mother. The child endured the torments without flinching but told his mother he was thirsty and wanted a drink. '0 my dear son', the admirable woman answered, 'do not drink corruptible and temporal water, but keep up your courage so as to drink living and eternal water in the Kingdom of God!' The child was beheaded, and Saint Romanus was condemned to be burnt to death. He welcomed the sentence joyfully, and with a shining face was led unresistingly to the stake. Since the Emperor was in the city, the executioners awaited his decision before lighting the fire and the valiant Martyr exclaimed at the delay, 'Where is the fire that is prepared for me?' But the execution was stayed so that he could be brought before the Emperor in person. Aware that Christians rejoice over the death of a Martyr as the entrance to everlasting life, the tyrant wanted to increase the suffering of Christ's athlete by delaying the moment of deliverance. He ordered the executioners to tear out his tongue, which Romanus freely offered, and he miraculously went on praising God and encouraging the faithful after it was cut away. After this torment, he was imprisoned for a long time in chains until the Emperor's birthday. This was celebrated all over the Empire and a general release of prisoners was customary. But Romanus was not freed; with his feet crushed in the stocks, he was secretly strangled in his dungeon and thus received the adornment of martyrdom, as he had desired."(Synaxarion)

Pastor Glenn Packiam preaches from Revelation 19 & 20 tonight, answering the question, 'Where does God's salvation come from?' God's salvation looks like judgment on evil, vindication for victims, and a feast for the righteous.
Omnipotence Defined God is omnipotent, or all-powerful. The Latin-based term omnipotence combines two words: omni, meaning all, and potens, meaning powerful. In other words, God can do all of His holy will. Psalm 115:1-3 - "Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness! Why should the nations say, 'Where is their God?' Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases." Omnipotence Displayed God’s Power is Unlimited (Isaiah 43:13; Jeremiah 32:17, 27; Matthew 19:26) God’s Power is Unconquerable (Job 42:2; Isaiah 46:10-11) God’s Power is Undiminished (Psalm 102:25-27; Isaiah 40:9-26) God’s Power is Unfathomable (Psalm 145:1-7; Ephesians 3:20-21) Omnipotence Applied God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9-10; Philippians 4:13) God holds our times in His hand (Psalm 31:14-15; Ecclesiastes 3:10-11) God’s redemptive plan will be accomplished (Ephesians 1:3-14)

The first home buyer process can be overwhelming, as you know that you want to own your own home, but it feels so out of reach and, with the cost of living, the balance of socialising and the pressure from family, you feel that it's impossible to get ahead. Today we talk about what the best strategy is, to achieve your dreams. David Johnston is the Founder and Managing Director of Propertyplanning.com.au, which he started in 2004, and he's the Co-Host of the podcast thepropertyplannerbuyerandprofessor.com.au with Cate Bakos and Peter Koulizos, author of multiple books including: 'How To Succeed With Property To Create Your Ideal Lifestyle', which we will tell you how you can get a free copy of, at the end of this podcast, as well as 'Property For Life - Using Property To Plan Your Financial Future'. David and his team have pioneered property planning and mortgage strategy. They are passionate about educating and empowering professionals and families to create their own personalised property plan, mortgage strategy and money management system.David also ran Australia's only university endorsed education course on property planning for ten years with university lecturer Peter Koulizos, and now infuses all the education into their personalised service. He believes in fiercely independent advice and his company provides what he calls 'Pure Planning'. Property Planning Australia is the first company in Australia to produce independent property advice without earning fees from buying selling property, investments, insurance or super products. It truly is independent advice.David, how old were you and how did you come to buy your first home?1. Where should first home buyers start when thinking about buying a home? a). You suggest that you should start with the end in mind by developing your property plan? What do you mean by that? b). How important is it to determine 'Where you want to buy?' before deciding 'What to buy?'2. What are some good strategies when it comes to saving? a). Why is mortgage strategy more important than the interest rate?3. How long should the process take from starting to save to looking at buying?4. How much should we save for the deposit? a). Should we be aiming for the family home, or something smaller as a first home? b). Is it really all about the long-term strategy?5. If we have a savings goal of say 5 years, how much extra should we be adding to our saving goal knowing that the market will rise?6. Who will be your best friend throughout the process of buying your first home? a). Who else should be on your side?7. How do we know what government schemes are available to us?8. At what stage of the saving goal should first home buyers actually start looking at viable properties to buy? a). If it's from day one, should you have an emotional strategy? That is, take away any emotional pull when looking, and look for the practical elements - like function, added value extras, storage, parking etc and see what that can buy you at your price point.OFFER:Real Estate Right Listeners can download a free Ebook titled 'How to Succeed with Property to Create Your Ideal Lifestyle.

So critical is the role of the Holy Spirit that Jesus said: "But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me, 'Where are You going?' 6 "But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 "But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper shall not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. John 16:5-7 Then… 13 "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. 14 "He shall glorify Me; for He shall take of Mine, and shall disclose it to you. 15 "All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said, that He takes of Mine, and will disclose it to you. For our praise and earthy gratitude, He is our assurance of eternal life: In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1" 13-14 God's will is for men to be saved. God's will is for His servants to be filled with the Holy Spirit. In this episode, I am talking with the multi-talented musician, radio host, businesswoman (and so much more) about wearing a lot of hats, adapting to the current climate and being forward-focused in your career. Beth is a well established French horn player with the Las Vegas Philharmonic. She toured with Wayne Newton, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis and has played with a range of artists - Metallica, the Who, Elton John, Luciano Pavarotti, and so many more. Beyond her musical career, she works as a voice actor, a radio personality, a writer, a teacher, and a business consultant. She's currently the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the UNLV School of Music. And she was nominated for an Emmy for playing herself, which is just a cool thing to mention.Connect with Beth on social:Facebook: Personal profile Facebook: Music pageTwitter: @bethlano01:24 "I have a lot of interests. But I also realized that, in order to have a decent amount of income as a musician, especially as a freelancer, you need to wear a lot of hats. So why not explore those things that you want to explore? Why not use the talents that you have, and earn money for doing them, and enjoy them at the same time?"03:53 "If someone suddenly loses their sight, the other senses takeover. Having a lot of irons in the fire is the same way. The other irons are taking over and help us get through a situation like this. I'm really grateful that there are other things that I can do besides playing music."05:35 "Where my attention is focused has been in teaching. I've had students who have shown improvement beyond what I thought they would show, because I think psychologically they depend on these lessons as feeling that they can actually express themselves, which does my heart good, too."10:13 "I think it's important for everyone to remain nimble, and flexible, and adaptable. This is survival now. No one knows what the future is going to bring. Going back to normal may not ever happen. So what we have to do is face the fact that with so much uncertainty, we can only take a day at a time and make it the best we can."12:20 "I really hope that people can learn to adapt. When technology goes bad, you can't get ticked off about it. You have to just roll with it. And that's kind of where we're at right now with everything. We have to learn how to roll with everything. I understand frustration levels and everything, but this is just a fresh set of challenges. So be patient with it and work through it."17:37 "I've gotten rid of nearly half of my stuff, either throwing it away or bagging it up and getting it ready to donate. And realized in doing that, that's a real metaphor for how I want to be in every aspect of my life, but especially in in business. Moving forward, I want to be agile. I want to be able to go in whatever direction that I need to go in, in order to contribute to the world but also to contribute to my own well-being, my own evolving."18:57 "Regardless of which of my hats I'm wearing, I have spiral notebooks, and I'm taking notes on everything." 21:48 "One thing that I've always done is, I put everything in my phone. I put everything in my calendar. I think all of this prioritization, and note taking, and reinforcing ideas that you have, is really critical to us as we go forward in this digital age. We can't space out on things. People depend on us too much."24:29 "It's really important to stay focused as much as you can. Let yourself go every once in a while, and dive into a movie or a TV show and decompress, but when you're on guard, be focused. Be focused - not fearful, but focused."28:06 "When I see questions on job applications and stuff, 'Where do you see yourself in five years?' I just look at that and I go, oh, that's adorable. Because that probably was a great question to have, maybe 20 years ago, but it's so outdated now. The honest answer is, I don't know."28:52 "With the unknown, you can choose to be afraid about what's unknown, or you can choose to embrace what the possibilities are. And I think it's great to reflect on the past, but you can't live there. And if you cling too hard to what has happened, and the way things used to be, and all of that stuff you are… you're condemned to be stuck there. And I truly believe that my favorite gig is definitely the next one. I've had some wonderful experiences, but I'm excited about what the future holds."29:38 "I love all of the different things that I get to do. But I think it's important to take time for yourself."32:38 About revenue streams and bartering: "Look around and see what you need help with. And if you have a service that you can provide to somebody else who can help you, then allow that to happen."37:16 "The French horn sort of chose me."40:14 "I think more than anything right now, because I'm not playing to earn money, when I play I play because I love it. And I play to explore music that I love. It’s not for anyone else, it's for me."42:15 "When this first started, I think everybody was just - was and still is - we're all thrown into all of this uncertainty. And I was thinking, what can I control? Well, I can control what goes in and out of my body, and I can control how I treat my body. If you don't feed your body good pure food right now, your brain is not going to respond very well, and right now you need your wits about you."43:51: "Be open to learning. Don't be afraid to say 'I don't know how to do this.' But make it your business to learn how to do it. Just be prepared. Don't ever stop learning because with that learning comes growth, and comes so many opportunities."--Connect with me through your favorite platform: https://pods.link/aardvarkgirl

In this one off challenge edition of FunkQuest, we match up our, Season One Champion Funkster-Leana Dell, with Alexander Stafford, MP for Rother Valley. As Alexander had never played Funkquest before, Leana was chosen to go first to show him how it goes.Leana chose the 'Pumpkin icon and answered the question about how she took to losing games. She said that she doesn't mind losing to others but is very competive against herself. At golf she always likes to be able to beat her last game. In most games though its about fun.Alexander's first question was 'How many photos do you have on your phone? - he revealed that he had possibly thousands, many of which were stored in 'cloud'. He used to like big cameras with Zoom lenses but realises the HD pictures taken on mobile/cell phones are as good, these days.Going on a date is always stressful; who is supposed to pay the bill on a first date! Leana made a big 'faux pasF' and insulted her Texan date by offering to pay, then insulted her Canadian date by not offering to go halves. Someone should write some Rules.'Where can you see the best views?' was Alexanders second question. As MP for Rother Valley he was very diplomatic in his first answer. However his best views are the ones that have his family in them.Question 3 and Leana doesn't really prank people, although she may have made prank phone calls when younger. Alexander was asked if we had lost the art of a good prank? He felt that a good wholesome prank was ok, but verbal abuse or physical attack was not a 'prank'.Alexander chose the 'fruit' icon for his third question. His first guest on his 'talk show' would probably be Boris Johnson - the question slide picture for this icon was the 'Crusades' and he was prompted, by history, into thinking that Julius Caeser would be a more fascinating guest.Of all the animals in the world; Leana chose the 'cat' to be given the power of speech. Dogs, can almost talk to you anyway through their facial and body language, but cats are generally unreadable. They would probably insult you if they could speak! The 'Route 66' sign was the american icon, icon, Alexander chose to say that, his favourite chocolate bar/s were the Flake/Twirl - one being a chocolate covered version of the other - and with a cup of tea a KitKat.What is FunkQuest ?Funkquest is a fun interactive online conversation game that features five rounds.Funksters (players) view a board containing 40 individual icons (pictures) Funksters select an icon from the board which most tweaks their interest. Dan Wacksman, CHDM, CRME, CHBA, Chair at HSMAI and Principle at Sassato LLC joins me while quarantining in New York City. I ask Dan, 'Where do we go from here?' Key takeaways: -Everything has changed: metrics, teams, budgets, market mix, feeder markets, booking windows, comp sets, and customer expectation--to name a few. -Rate is the least important thing. -Address safety, flexibility, and empathy (showing you understand concerns--in word and deed). -Fortune favors the bold. Try something new: brand, booking engine, CRS, marketing approach. -Learn to master the tools you have.

FunkQuest -Quarter Final3 - Ann Smith v Lisa PezikAnn and Lisa are the third pair to play in the FunkQuest quarter finals and are old hands at this by now.Lisa started play with the answer to 'How many questions do you ask? - She always has to ask at least 5 why questions deep - this is so she can get to the true answer.Anns first question 'Where have you seen a ghost' might have been a tricky one but she was certainly able to come up with a good 'ghost story'.Leaving her family house and home in America when she got married and moving all the way to live in Canada - a place she know nothing about, actually learning to live there was Lisas greatest achievement.Question 2 for Ann could have seem quite personal but her answer about finding satisfaction was that she was surprised by her husband, she's not easily surprised and that was very satisfying. Her third answer - Lisa revealed, that if she was to be a secret code name it would be Detective Fierce and Ferocious (DFF) as she can be very protective of thingsAnns third question was about having a habit. Her habit is more a way of life now her grown up self allows her to go out of her comfort zone to get the things she missed when younger. For question 4 Ann chose the 'xylophone' icon with question 'When is it ok to tell a lie?' her emphatic answer was - Never! and was able to qualify this with the differences between honesty and integrity.Lisa shuddered at the 'jelly fish' icon and for a reason- the answer to the questionwas the sound of scraping nails down a chalk board- a reminder of the nuns who taught her.Lisas final question was about choosing who would narrate her life. Samuel L Jackson came to mindAnne closed the show by explaining that she was the luckiest person she knew because she had her husband and he was the luckiest because he had her - 2 very different people but both blessed.Ann and Lisa are the third pair to play in the FunkQuest quarter finals and are old hands at this by now.Lisa started play with the answer to 'How many questions do you ask? FunkQuest - Season 2 -Quarter Final 2 - Bryan Falchuk v Dr. Kimya DennisYou will find out that both Kimya and Bryan are experts in their respective fields and this Second Quarter Final episode is full of insightful and thought proving ideas.Question 1 was; 'Where does power come from?' Bryan felt that we all have power within ourselves - and we need to really find out what really matters to us personally so that we can fight against the powers which hold us back.Kimya answered her first question about building an ark - she would literally and figuratively build arks (arcs) to connect people around the world so to join together to beat systemic attitudes.Question 2 - and Kimya and Bryan both took this question ; 'How do you waste time?' and felt the question problematic because this sort of time allows you space to recover and recuperate so you can then continue to help others.Bryan chose the bobsleigh icon on the board for question 3 - answering about the best thing he got for Free. Having felt worthless for many years, he helped himself transform into who he is now without having to go on a costly course.Kimya, spoke about her latest dream for her third question, feeling that we generally dreeam about the things we have talked about during the day.Kimya answered the 'fruit waffle' next. Her last road trip was a six hour drive to check up on her house. It took so long because she didn't want to use the highway. She felt that seeing scenery was healthier mentally.Bryan had to confess he had cheated in school when young but more importantly had not cheated on his diet although he was allowed a 'cheat day'. "How much do you really value yourself if you are willing to cheat?"Final Question for Bryan told us his dad had seemed old when he was child, but even now, in his seventies his dad was very active so not that old really. He knew of older people but his wifes grandma was 92.Kimya ended the game by choosing the Pyramid. Mythical creatures were not really her type of thing. However the Knowledge, we had gained as people, through the centuries - the mythical stories and religious histories show just how we can label and harm people.
