Iron Maiden has earned their spot as one of the biggest touring acts of the new millenium through an unwavering work ethic and delivering quality in every way to their legion of dedicated fans. As they prepare to come to North and South American to wrap up their Run For Your Lives Tour, they released a career spanning documentary, Burning Ambition, for a limited theater run before the inevitable release on DVD/streaming. As the boys have reviewed most of Maiden's 80's output and a few live reviews on their favorite heavy metal band, you knew they were going to check this out and tell you what they thought. But Maiden have offered up many documentaries over the decades (12 Wasted Years, The Early Years Part 1, 2, 3 and Flight 666) so they were curious as to how this one would be different and how many new tidbits they'd be able to glean from this one-night doc. The movie spans their whole career starting in 1975 and talks about the vision and work ethic of one Steve Harris, the founder and leader of Maiden since its inception. Because of the huge amount of time to cover, the film didn't dive deep into the making of albums, chart success or tours but gave everyone a voice (off-screen) using footage from the 50 years of the band's career. The hardcore fans may not have learned too much but to hear the stories of famous fans like Brian Slagel (a guest of UAWIL), Javier Bardem and Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine was a nice touch. Plus, they included past members, crew members and fans from around the world sharing their stories of why they are so loyal to Iron Maiden. For the most part, they highlighted how bringing new members into the band change the music for the better (and sometimes worse), how that affected their popularity and draw as a life act and how (and why) they're still going today. They hit the highest of highs in the 1980s but burned themselves out in the process. Thanks to grunge and significant lineup changes in the 90s, they went backwards a bit, especially in America where they sometimes found themselves playing to 500 people. But the reunification with Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith on Brave New World and beyond propelled them back to the top - a place they haven't left in 25 years. And of course, there's lots of Eddie in his many incarnations - perhaps the greatest marketing image in the history of heavy metal or even recorded music. While the hardcore fans may lament a lack of details or stories about the albums, it's a cool journey to see where they came from, how they rose to the top, fell down near the bottom and rose again to be the biggest (and in our opinion best) heavy metal band in the world. This is a Nebraska Update Special Election Report from the Nebraska Public Media Newsroom for May 13. Incumbent Secretary of State Bob Evnen lost in the biggest upset of Nebraska's primary election night in one of the state's most closely watched statewide contests. Democrat Denise Powell edged ahead of John Cavanaugh in the late hours of the Democratic Second Congressional District primary. Chris Backemyer secured the Democratic nomination in the First Congressional District and will face Mike Flood in November. Republican voters in the Third Congressional District chose their incumbent Adrian Smith once again. Gov. Jim Pillen will face former state Sen. Lynne Walz in the general election. Sen. Pete Ricketts cruised to victory with about 80 percent of the Republican primary vote in the U.S. Senate Republican primary. Six candidates advanced in University of Nebraska Board of Regents races. Two races for the Nebraska Legislature in Omaha delivered surprising results.
Conservative influencers complain about RINOs all day, but where are they during the primaries? Today I dig even deeper into the hypocrisy of online right-wing influencers who grift off the "Uniparty" narrative while refusing to support grassroots challengers in actual primaries. I explain how the same people who promote and claim to have ties to Trump continue to remain silent as Trump's endorsement record is actively protecting pro-illegal-immigration RINOs in deep-red states like Idaho, West Virginia, and Nebraska. Later, I'm joined by David Huebner, a former Border Patrol agent and fifth-generation ag producer, running to unseat 20-year incumbent Adrian Smith in Nebraska's 3rd Congressional District. We unpack the massive demographic and economic shifts destroying rural America, from corporate monopolies and industrial solar farms eating up sensitive ranchland to the establishment's reliance on cheap illegal labor. We've never had so many MAGA Inc. donors, talkers, and organizations. How come people like David can't count on that same juggernaut we saw Tuesday night in Indiana? Learn more about your ad choices. Time for a massive Red Pill, as Adrian Smith joins me to explore the use of magic in mind control, in particular the use of misdirection to mesmerize, focusing attention to the exclusion of all else, keeping us locked up inside a prison for the mind. Venturing beyond the prison compound, we can easily see the false narratives that allow the few to rule the many. Adrian will explore the alchemy of finance, the ultimate magic trick, the Philosopher's Stone, which allows those who have nothing to obtain everything. The flip side of that famous prediction, “you will own nothing,” is that some group owns everything. This means a negative alchemy. Assuming the role of Meta Programmer allows us to de-program and re-program. Although at first glance this obscure low-budget film –Michael Winner's feature-length directorial debut – may not appear to have a Goon connection. Oh, but it does. Radio and TV personality Jack Jackson introduces a selection of sketches and musical items, linked by his demonstration of a fantastical computer with display screen. Acts include Glen Mason, Cherry Wainer, Craig Douglas, Russ Conway and archive footage including Michael Bentine, Harry Secombe and Peter Sellers. The film also features location shooting of London nightlife and was described in one sympathetic review as “Just the thing for the Espresso coffee bar trade”Joining Tyler this week is returning guest Adrian Smith.

Adrian Smith continues our Becoming: Navigating Your Journey of Faith series with a great question. What if faith was never meant to stop with us?This message unpacks a simple but confronting truth. Real encounters with God always turn us outward. Looking at 1 Corinthians 13 and stories throughout Scripture, Adrian shows that love is not just something we talk about or feel. It is something we live out in real relationships, especially with people we find difficult. With honesty and humour, he reflects on his own struggles with family and how easy it is to keep people at a distance, even while praying for them. But faith that stays inward misses the point. Transformation is not just for personal growth. It is for others. It is for your world, your relationships, and the people God is calling you toward. This episode will challenge you to move beyond comfort and take a step toward someone in your life. Not just with words, but with action. If you have ever wondered what living out your faith really looks like, this message will give you a clear and practical place to start.

The rebranding of Games Workshop’s paint line is happening. Citadel Colour is being phased out and renamed Warhammer Colour. This change is purely for brand alignment, particularly to aid newcomers, as the paint formulas—including Base, Layers, Shades, Technical, and Contrast paints—and pot sizes will remain exactly the same, only with updated branding appearing in stores over the coming months. Wolfenstein TTRPG (Tabletop Roleplaying Game) is coming from Modiphius. The game will adapt the popular video game IP, specifically focusing on the storylines from Wolfenstein: The New Order and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus. Modiphius, which has a pre-existing relationship with Bethesda for Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, will utilize its 2d20 system for the RPG. The crowdfunding campaign for the game is set to launch on GameFound in Fall 2026, with a sign-up page available for interested parties to follow. HATE is based on the Chronicles of Hate, a dark fantasy graphic novel series by artist Adrian Smith, known for its intense and visceral artwork. The miniatures being promoted originate from the iconic HATE Board Game, which is centered on brutal combat and conquest. The files are being produced by TitanForge and will be available as STL files. LowLife is the long-awaited TTRPG based on the DUNGEON DEGENERATES board game, designed to allow players to delve deeper into the degeneracy and world of Würstreich than the board game permits. Sean Aaberg, the creator, describes it as a “chaotic narrative experience” and an “RPG for people who hate the ‘noble hero’ tropes.” The creator aims to make LowLife their most successful Kickstarter yet, encouraging readers to share the sign-up page and promote the project, which has been in development for decades. The project is described as Grand Theft Auto meets Game of Thrones, and a preview PRIMER E-ZINE with sneak peeks at the character sheet, hex map, and monsters is exclusively available for sign-ups. #citadelpaints #wolfensteinrpg #HATE #lowliferpg GM Day Sale on DTRPG: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/ja/featured_promotions?promotion_id=26_GMDay_RPG?affiliate_id=2081746 Dfinitive HATE on MyMiniFactory: https://www.myminifactory.com/frontier/hate-the-definitive-miniature-collection-5301 GM's Day on DTRPG: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/ja/featured_promotions?promotion_id=26_GMDay_RPG Sean Aaberg's Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/cw/seanaaberg Low Life Sign Up: https://www.dungeondegenerates.com/ Dragonbane Trudvang: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1192053011/dragonbane-trudvang-the-legend-returns Fallout MEGA Bundle: https://humblebundleinc.sjv.io/L0aArV Warmachine on MyMiniFactory: https://mmf.io/upturned Mantic Companion App: https://companion.manticgames.com/ Use our Referral code: MCTXEE Support us by Shopping at Miniature Market (afilliate link): https://miniature-market.sjv.io/K0yj7n Support Us by Shopping on DTRPG (afilliate link): https://www.drivethrurpg.com?affiliate_id=2081746 Matt’s DriveThruRPG Publications: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse.php?author=Matthew%20Robinson https://substack.com/@matthewrobinson3 Chris on social media: https://hyvemynd.itch.io/ Jeremy's Links: http://www.abusecartoons.com/ http://www.rcharvey.com Support Us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/upturnedtable Give us a tip on our livestream: https://streamlabs.com/upturnedtabletop/tip Donate or give us a tip on Paypal: https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/2754JZFW2QZU4 Intro song is “Chips” by KokoroNoMe https://kokoronome.bandcamp.com

”Progemetallin kantaisien kantaisä”. 1983 Iron Maiden julkaisi progevaikutteisen albuminsa Piece of Mind, jolla mukana oli uusi rumpali Nicko McBrain. Heviasiantuntija Matti Ruotsalalle se on albumi, jonka ansiosta Iron Maiden on hänelle erityinen bändi, jonka perässä hän on matkustellut ympäri maailmaa. Piece Of Mind meni Suomessa listakärkeen, mutta tuolloinen Helsingin keikka ei myynyt loppuun, vaan bändi esiintyi vajaalle hallille. In this episode of Leaders in Tech, host David Mansilla talks with Adrian Smith, the tech head (CIO) of the London business consulting firm AdSatis. Adrian, who has helped banks and financial companies for decades, shares a strong warning about modern technology: it's incredibly fast, but also surprisingly easy to break.Key Topics Discussed:The Power of Experience: Why managers who have seen years of booms and crashes are crucial for making level-headed decisions today. The Weekly Fixes Problem: Adrian asks why big software makers release hundreds of fixes every week, creating unstable systems that are always at risk. One Mistake, Global Chaos: We look at how a single technical failure can stop major airlines or shut down a bank for days, showing how vulnerable we all are.Work from Home vs. Office: A deep dive into why people need to be social, and why key jobs (like doctors and drivers) prove that society still needs people to physically show up.The Fight for Privacy: A discussion on why governments asking for secret entry points (backdoors) into our phones is a serious threat to personal freedom and security.#AdrianSmith #TechVulnerability #CIO #PrivacyMatters #FutureOfWork #HyperConnectedWorld #BusinessAdvice #ExperienceCounts
How about an AB Short to make sure you don't get too comfortable during the holiday season? It's serious, man, and it's based on my interview with Adrian Smith. He exposes the Fabian Society and how they are as active as ever, from the World Economic Forum to England's leadership to Canadian “healthcare,” happily radiating the world with mind-control, useless wars, eugenics, and nation-building. We'll also go back through history to expose many of their founders: H.G. Wells, George Bernard Shaw, and others. This content is all George Orwell approved, and he warned us about this movement many times. In this episode, Alexa is joined by Becky Morton, Principal of Further Education at ACM, to explore what the FE academic route can offer young singers stepping into today's music industry. Becky shares how the curriculum is structured with project-based training, and how this helps students to build both industry awareness and artistic identity from the age of sixteen. The pair dig into why early professional habits matter, how the diploma pathway compares to traditional A-levels, and what young performers gain from learning to work with producers, bands and music businesses in a real-world environment. Becky also talks about current vocal trends, the technical demands of pop-rock singing, and how ACM is adapting its teaching to industry changes, including the rise of AI. It's the end of the world as we know it, and I'm glad Adrian Smith, author of A Prison for Your Mind, will join us to find a better world. We'll discuss politics from a Gnostic stance. Adrian will provide many potent ideas, from the Gnosis of John Adams to the concept of Utilitarianism to the malevolence of the Fabian Society. In the end, you'll get valuable and necessary antidotes to the various Wetikos that block your sacred mission and infect the collective human psyche. We got Yaldi Balid right where we want him. It's adventure on land and on sea as we chart a course to Devil's Island! It's the time of the French Revolution and tempers are running high, quite literally, as we visit those poor female prisoners of Devil's Island, who are forced to pan for gold by day in the hot South American sun, and then entertain the prison guards in improvised brothels by night. If only there was a dashing young captain who could come and save them? And perhaps punch a crocodile whilst he's at it? We are now halfway through our Rapiers & Ruffles season now, so hitch up your skirts and wade into the croc-infested waters in search of cinematic gold with us, your piratical hosts Rod Barnett and Adrian Smith. If you want to watch the film (and you should) you can find it on YouTube. You can get in touch with us (we love hearing from you!), follow us on social media, buy our merch, and all that stuff, through our Linktree. Learn more about your ad choices. According to Peter Sellers: “It all started because Spike Milligan and I once said we wanted to experiment in visual humour. We got as many friends together as we could and went and found a field. That was all we had – friends, a field, a roll of film.”What resulted was 'The Running, Jumping & Standing Still Film' (1959), directed by the up-and-coming Richard Lester, a friend and collaborator of Sellers and Milligan. The short film soon became a word-of-mouth hit and was even nominated for an Oscar. It helped pave the way for Lester to work with the Beatles several years later and Spike Milligan claimed that it was one of the very few true visual representations of Peter Sellers' sense of humour. Although accounts vary it has become accepted that the total budget for the film was £70 (including the rent of a field) and the entire cast was made up of - as Sellers says - friends. So we see Graham Stark, Leo McKern, David Lodge, Mario Fabrizi, Bruce Lacey and Johnny Vyvyan, as well as the two Goons themselves. This week film academic Dr Adrian Smith joins Tyler to talk about this highly influential 11 minutes of mayhem.
Neeley and Chris break down one of the wildest news stories ever—a woman was shot in the face with a crossbow inside an exotic bird store. The guys can't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. Plus, they discuss Steve Riley's LA Guns calling it quits, react to Herman Rarebell's bizarre cover of “Love Is A Battlefield,” and check out new music from Adrian Smith and Richie Kotzen. They also dive into the ridiculous 1971 Oscar-winning cartoon “Crunch Bird.”NOTE: Everything said here, and on every episode of all of our shows, are 100% the opinions of the hosts.
