Most contractors don't fail because they're lazy. They fail because they quietly drift and tolerate chaos. In this episode, Tom breaks down the 5-step checklist to ensure 2026 isn't just a repeat of the stress and "should've been further along" bullshit of last year. From deciding your profit numbers to enforcing non-negotiable standards, it's time to stop acting like a handyman and start leading like a pro. Hørt låta The Grand Slam?

In this episode of the Cup and Joe Podcast, Joe Kirby shares how GOD can restore what's been broken, and why the years you thought were wasted are not beyond redemption. But also how every Christian will one day be restored. We dive into Joel 2:25 and other scriptures that show how GOD can restore everything — even the parts of your life that feel too far gone.

RECENT TEACHINGS
The War Is On: Are You Close Enough to Christ to Win Brother Larry's message centers on the biblical call to “draw near to God, and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8). He challenges believers to move beyond merely agreeing with Jesus to obeying Him (Luke 6:46). Drawing near requires willingness, truthfulness, sacrifice, and faith (Romans 12:1–2; Hebrews 10:22). He reminds us that although we may fail at times (1 John 1:8–9), God's grace is always available through our great High Priest Jesus Christ (Hebrews 4:14–16). However, we must not presume upon that grace by willfully sinning (Romans 6:1–2). Instead, as Isaiah did when he saw the holiness of God (Isaiah 6:1–5), we should humble ourselves and let God's presence reveal who we truly are. Drawing near means ongoing spiritual warfare, but victory is assured through Christ (Ephesians 6:10–12, 1 John 4:4).

This week we continue our coverage of Night Demon's fall 2024 run through Europe, supported by Canadian titans (and now sadly defunct) Traveler. The narrative picks up with a show at the new, larger MTS Records location in Oldenburg, Germany, with additional support from a Night-Demon inspired German band called Dawnrider. The tour moves on to the tiny German village of Neuenhaus, where a longtime fan had set up a small show on a Monday night. You will hear how it came to be that Night Demon performed "Wasted Years" that night and why they vow it's the last time they ever will play it.Become a subscriber today at nightdemon.net/subscriber. Sett over kaffen.

Selveste Jerry Cantrell fra Alice In Chains!

Following the Japan tour in spring 2023, Night Demon traveled to the UK for a run of UK / Ireland shows that was planned to commence with an appearance at the Dominion Festival in Newcastle. Unfortunately, that festival was canceled on very short notice, leaving the band in limbo for a few days. In this week's episode, you will hear how they spent that time. The centerpiece was an off-the-cuff covers gig at an open mike night at a blues bar in Newcastle. The episode includes audio of this entire performance, including a Jarvis collaboration with Russ Tippins from Satan. Night Demon then traveled to their home base in Derry, Northern Ireland, for a couple days of downtime. The guys describe their philosophies on how to spend time off on the road. Also, Jarvis explains why in a very real way Northern Ireland is home.Become a subscriber today at nightdemon.net/subscriber. This week marks the return of the popular tour episodes, as we join the band on the road for the Year of the Demon Tour in September and early October. The story begins on September 2, 2022, with Night Demon en route to Mexico for their performance at the Candelabrum Metal Festival in Leon the following day. Unfortunately, the band's travels inbound were marred by airline hassles, luggage issues, mind-numbing delays, damaged gear, and stray dogs on runways. Finally the band reached Leon and were pleased to find a professional festival setup in all respects. You'll hear all about their gig at Candelabrum, including tempo issues, an unusual take on "Vysteria," and finally victory with a killer cover of "Wasted Years" in front of 2,500 ravenous Mexican metalheads. The remainder of the episode is devoted to Night Demon's hang in Mexico City for a couple of days while awaiting their flight to Germany. We bring you interview clips from those days, detailing the parties, the friends, the tacos, the stories, and the adventures, including one final airport headache involving a misplaced immigration form necessary to leave Mexico. In "20 Pounds of Headlines," we round up news from the world of Bob Dylan, which includes new shows added to Dylan's 2022 autumn tour of Europe; the appearance of the table of contents of Dylan's new book, THE PHILOSOPHY OF MODERN SONG, online, including the 66 songs about which he will be writing; and the passing of Jerry Allison, the drummer of The Crickets. In "Who Did It Better?" we ask you to vote this week to tell us who did "Twist and Shout" better: The Top Notes, the Isley Brothers or The Beatles? If we can turn back the hands of time, I'm sure we'd all change something about our past. The way life is set up makes that impossible. The next best thing would be to change our present to change our future. In this episode, I share why the past years you've felt are wasted aren't really what you think they are.AudiobookAudibleiTunesPaperback Version Of My Book:AmazonMy WebsiteGrow At Your Own Pace:Online CoursesWork With Me Directly:CoachingDon't Be Afraid To Say Hello:InstagramSupport the show
This week, we delve into the live version of Iron Maiden's "Wasted Years" that appears on Night Demon's newly released compilation album, Year of the Demon. The guys reflect on how they came to be familiar with Iron Maiden during their childhood years and how Maiden became an inspiration to each of them and to Night Demon as a whole. They talk about the mantra "What would Maiden do?" You will hear why Night Demon chose "Wasted Years" as a cover song, and specifically how they relate to it lyrically. We also explore the history of "Wasted Years" in the Night Demon set, from humble beginnings at a dive bar in Miami to one of the grandest true metal stages in the world in Germany. Night Demon also explain the omission of this recording from the Live Darkness album, and the subsequent decision to include it as the b-side to the "Vysteria" single in 2020. You will learn why Night Demon will not record a studio version of the song. Become a subscriber today at nightdemon.net/subscriber. Amanda talks about the book that gave her permission to write “outside the lines”, what she learned about her own life through exploring the narcissistic antagonist in her novel, and the process of identifying where her book fit on the genre shelf. She also takes us step by step through her process of learning, through podcasts and YouTube videos, how to create her own book on Vellum and launch it into the world, and her eventual decision to pull it back and do a total rebranding with a new cover and the addition of a Part 2. Amanda Jane Schiller is an up and coming indie author of women's fiction. Her stories follow women who are anything but the typical housewife, making imperfect and almost impossible decisions. She began writing the same month her son was born and started pursuing a Bachelors of Science in biology which she has since completed. Amanda lives in the Midwest with her son and two kitties and greatly enjoys spending her free time hiking, attending heavy metal concerts, and playing video games.
