Death is one of the greatest mysteries of human existence, the inevitable fate that unites us all. Whenever man is confronted with something mysterious and unknown such as the origin of the world, death, the afterlife, etc., the unconscious produces symbolic representations. In her groundbreaking book, On Dreams and Death, Jungian analyst Marie-Louise von Franz writes about death dreams, that is, dreams of people who subsequently died. Therefore, they are of a precognitive nature, as they can anticipate the death of someone. In death dreams, the end of physical life is represented in a symbolic way, but almost always accompanied by manifestations that allude to the continuation of the person's life.
Hi, we're Cinthia Varkevisser And Michelle Walters, co-hosts of Mind Power Meets Mystic. Our weekly show is here to expand your mind to what's possible, to uplift your spirits, to move forward with competence and joy, and to create a space for your collaboration with the invisible. Welcome to Mind Power Meets Mystic.Hey, hey, hey, party people. This is Cinthia Varkevisser, your mystic, and my mind power friend, Ms. Michelle Walters, is allowing me to take the platform today because I have something that I really would like to discuss. What I'd like to talk about is how to walk 5D in a 3D world. Now, this is so interesting to me because our world is changing, and it's very exciting. You'll see that people are starting to change their communication and say, "I hear you," or "What I hear you saying is," or "I feel that," or "Let me see if what you're saying is what I'm understanding." Oh, really beautiful things. And then you have this 5D space in which we go beyond these emotional things, and we are connected to a higher source. In this higher source, there's no concept of time, there's this greater generosity, there's this greater everything. And there's actually a loss in emotional attachment. That's not a bad thing at all. However, there are a lot of people who are saying, "Oh, lordy, lordy, I just want to be 5D." Well, in 5D, there is no eating, there is no drinking, there's no taking a shit. There's no love. There's nothing greater than love. But there's not this emotional connected love that makes us weep when we see our loved ones, when we are so sad when we, you know, it's really beautiful to be a human being. And so I am committed to talking about 3D, 5D. There are so many juicy things in 3D that we don't want to leave it in. I'll tell you, I had a near-death experience. And I had the opportunity to come back. And I channeled Induro from the fifth dimension. So I believe I have this really unique qualification about 3D living and 5D experience.Alright, let's first explain what the hell these dimensions are. There are a multitude of dimensions; my tiny little brain can only handle 12. And the way that I understand from Induro is that there are many more, but we are only exposed to as much as we can handle. And for me, that's 12. Maybe there will be more later. And we'll talk about that more later.Alright, so let's start with math. First dimension, think about just drawing a line. There's really nothing to it, there's no depth, there's no height, it's just a line, that is 1D. Along comes another line that decides to not bisect but to make perpendicular. And now we have two, we have length, and then we have height. So we have something to compare to and our vision. And our understanding gets to be a little bit deeper. Then we come to 3D, which is the way that we live. In 3D, it's height, length or width, and depth. And from that, we get this really beautiful thing called texture. And that's how we get to see different colors. That's how we get to have different feelings. It's how we get to have the shapes. So thank you, Mr. Mush, let's my math teacher, which is a whole different story. Who taught me about the line taught me about let me see. Let me go to my notes. Because I do have notes. Our line, our plane, and then our cube. So 1D, 2D, 3D, and this is where we live. 3D is where our emotions are. This is where our perceptions our judgment really is a perception plus an emotion. Right? So this is where all these lovely things are, this is where we get to have a body. And this body survives on sleep on eating, drinking, waste, sunlight.Okay, so we are delicate little creatures, because we need these five things. And we are incredibly sturdy creatures, because we've been around for a little while. So it's 4D, 4D is time. 4D is where a lot of us are still not really understanding time. And we are. It's not being moved. But we are tied to time when really, that is that's a...
The Ghost of Sierra de Cobre (1964), Crowhaven Farm (1970), and Cruise into Terror (1978) With this being our 3rd episode covering these little television terrors, one would get the idea that there is a lot of teleplays, or TV-movies, out there that deserve our attention. Unfortunately, a lot of these titles still wander in limbo, never getting a legitimate release, some never even seeing a VHS release. While you can find a lot on YouTube, we're all hoping for a real legitmate release at some point. Until then, we do what we must to see some incredible films! So grab your notepad because we're going to discuss 3 titles that are definitely worth your time, and hope to spark you to take a little further adventure into Made-for-TV Terrors! Titles Mentioned in this Episode: American Beauty (1999), Are You in the House Alone (1978), Bad Ronald (1974), Blue Velvet (1986), Bog (1979), Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), A Cold Night's Death (1973), Cool Hand Luke (1967), Crowhaven Farm (1970), Cruise into Terror (1978), Cult of the Cobra (1955), Day of the Animals (1977), Devil Dog: The Hound of Hell (1978), The Disembodied (1957), Fiend without a Face (1958), The Ghost of Sierra de Cobre (1965), Grave of the Vampire (1972), It! The Terror from Beyond Space, Edward L. Cahn, 1958) y «Terror en el espacio» (Terrore nello spazio, Mario Bava, 1965). Con Miguel Muñoz y Garnica y José Luis Forte.

The tension between science and religion is perhaps the greatest tension of our age. Is the world fundamentally made of atoms, quarks, and quantum fields? Or is the material world but a secondary realm, lesser in meaning to the kingdom of God? There are many iterations of this tension. But there are also bridge-builders; thinkers who want to bridge science and religion — or at the very least, science and spirituality. My guest today is one of them. Donald Hoffman is a vision scientist, who has come to the dramatic conclusion that space and time are not fundamental. They are, according to him, just parts and parcels of our perception. Therefore objects, molecules, and atoms are not fundamental. Consciousness is. We explored the scientific case for Hoffman's theory in episode 30. In this 2nd part, we explore its relationship with spirituality. What if Hoffman is right? Should we live our lives any differently? What is the meaning of life in a world without space or time? Do we find God behind Hoffman's mathematics? You can enjoy this conversation without listening to the previous one. Atoms combine to form molecules, the second step on the way to matter. Molecules are made of two or more atoms and are held together by chemical bonds, which are determined by the electrons on their outermost shells. Carbon is an example of an atom which forms molecules and is essential for the formation of matter, as it forms strong and weak bonds with other atoms. Different combinations of molecules give rise to the diversity of matter we see around us. Ionic, covalent and metallic bonds are the three main types of bonds that form between atoms. Summarizing, atoms, molecules, and carbon are essential components of life, and scientists have discovered that carbon has the ability to form up to 1.7 million compounds. Atoms are the building blocks of life, and scientists have studied how they bond together. Some atoms swap electrons, while others share their electrons to form covalent bonds. Examples of covalent bonds include the H2 molecule, where two hydrogen atoms share each other's single electron. Metallic bonds occur when a large number of atoms come together by sharing electrons, forming metals like iron, copper, zinc, and aluminium. Carbon is the most significant element for living beings, as it is able to form 1.7 million compounds, forming structures like cell membranes, horns, trunks, lenses, and venom. Carbon is unique in its ability to form chains with many links, as well as branched or polygonal shapes. This versatility is critical for life, and compounds of carbon range from a few atoms to millions. Hydrogen and oxygen atoms, the main components of water, are very light and non-polar. This means that they have no affinity for each other and do not easily combine to form molecules. Atoms are the building blocks of all matter, and molecules are formed when atoms bond together. Carbon is an unusual element, forming over a quarter of a million compounds, including hydrocarbons which form the basis of the petrochemical industry and are found in natural gas, paints and fire extinguishers. Carbon is also a vital element for life on Earth, forming proteins with its unique ability to form strong and weak bonds between atoms and molecules. These bonds are essential for the formation of the complex three-dimensional shapes of proteins, which form the basis of all living things. Therefore, without the presence of carbon and its unusual properties, it is unlikely that there would be life on Earth. The summary of this podcast is that atoms, oxygen, and life are all connected and all dependent on Allah. Oxygen molecules are formed from atoms that are held together by Allah's permission. Taste and smell are created by molecular interactions that happen in our sense organs. Without taste and smell, life and the world would be dull and ordinary. Thanks to Allah, we have been given these blessings in return for nothing and should strive to be pleasing to Allah for an eternal life filled with blessings. NOTES 27. L. Vlasov, D. Atoms are incredibly small particles that cannot be viewed with the most powerful microscopes and make up everything we see, touch, and feel. Each atom is composed of a nucleus and a number of electrons in orbital shells that are located far away from the nucleus. Inside the nucleus are smaller particles called protons and neutrons, and its mass makes up 99.95% of the atom's mass, while it only occupies a tiny fraction of the atom's space. The strong nuclear force is the most powerful force in nature, and holds the nucleus of an atom together. Atoms are made up of a nucleus, which contains protons and neutrons, and electrons which revolve around the nucleus. The protons have positive charges and repel each other, but the strong nuclear force, which is 100 times stronger than the electro-magnetic force, keeps them together. This precise balance of forces is what allows the universe to exist and creates the tremendous equilibrium and design observed. Electrons are small particles carrying a negative charge, and therefore must obey certain laws of physics. These laws, however, do not explain the extraordinary escape velocity of electrons, the repelling force between them, or the force of attraction of the nucleus. All of these must be perfectly balanced for the atom to exist. This balance is only possible through Allah's power and will, as He alone holds all the forces of the universe in harmony. Thus, the atom is a testament to the intervention of Allah, the all-powerful Creator. Electrons have been found to possess both particle and wave characteristics, and it is known that light is spread in a similar way to ripples created on the surface of water. This perplexed scientists until Richard P. Feynman proposed that electrons have an inimitable "quantum mechanical" behavior. Scientists studying this behavior have been awarded prizes and honoured for their work; however, it is Allah, Who created the system, that should be praised for His infinite might, knowledge, artistry and wisdom, which is evident in the perfect measure, order, and equilibrium of the universe. From the smallest sub-atomic particle to the gigantic celestial bodies in space, Allah has appointed a measure for all things, and He created everything and determined it most exactly. When these electrons come back to their own shells, they emit photons. These photons form the colours we perceive. Electrons are integral to the formation of colour in our world, as they absorb photons which cause them to jump to higher energy shells, and then emit photons when they return to their original shells. This process is so complex that scientists could not explain it and called it "Quantum Mechanical Motion". However, the only answer to the question of why this process works is Allah, the Creator of the universe who brought it into existence with extraordinary balances and equilibriums. Notes: 13. Many of you have sent in articles or asked questions about the news around Space Force's fitness test (or lack thereof), so we thought we'd bring on an expert to talk about what they're doing. Shep is currently the Senior Human Performance Specialist at the United States Space Force. His three decade career in human performance has spanned everything from orthopedic rehab to world class athletics. His background includes serving as a Combat Medic in the Army, competitive powerlifting, Masters Degrees in both Physician Assistant Studies and Exercise Science, teaching at the collegiate level, and strength and conditioning roles in settings ranging from the Army, to Fire/Rescue, to now the Space Force. Disclaimers: The Space Force does not yet have an official policy on this stuff published, they're under a one year exception from existing Air Force policy. As a result, we could not discuss specifics in this conversation, but we do talk about their intentions. To set the record straight, there's a comment in this episode that implies Drew served in the military. He worked for the Air Force for several years and now works for the Army, but he has not served in uniform.

Our God lives beyond the dimensions of space and time. This is why He can see and predict the outcome of everything that occurs in our universe. One of His names is Jehovah-Jireh. Many have simplified this name to mean “Jehovah will provide.” Actually, this name means He will see and provide. He will look ahead in our lives and provide us insight and direction to avoid the “potholes.” Join me this week in CyberChurch to discover how the omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent God can lead you to the best possible outcomes for your life!

Pro wrestling, everyone. It is very good. Well, okay, sometimes it sucks. But when it's good, it's extremely good, and the episode of NXT that originally aired on August 14th, 2014, is an extremely good episode, with extremely good wrestling. Topics covered over the course of this 90-minute love-fest include: Adrian Neville's thighs Bull Dempsey's butt The Gordon Sisters Boxing An absolutely incredible championship main event A slightly less incredible but overall more important Sasha/Bayley match What is "Slam City," and why is Brock Lesnar? A very looney MeganBob fanfic Another edition of Wrestling History of the Week (you'll never believe our wacky new direction) The NXT Wrestling Fan Federation Trios Tournament travels through time Our theme song is called "Learnbuckle" and it was created by the uniquely talented Rafael Medina, whose work you can and should follow via his Twitter account, @EarthMeauxFaux! Welcome back to another episode of the show. This time around I've got a returning guest, Karen (@Walker_KM) from the Planet 8 Podcast (and formerly Bronze Age Babies!)! She and I talk about this wonderful film, the groundwork it laid, and the future films it influenced. Definitely get out there and see this film, as its reach far exceeded the intent of the people who made it. As usual, you can leave feedback by emailing the show at MagazinesandMonsters@Gmail.com or reach out to me on Twitter @Billyd_licious or on the show's FB page! And if that's not enough, check out my blog as well MagazinesandMonsters.com (comic book spotlights)!
Welcome listeners to our latest episode, where we review the latest Marvel Studios film, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings! In this spoiler-filled episode, we'll discuss the comics that formed the basis for the film, the kung fu films that influenced and shaped it, and how it ties into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. Plus, there will be the usual nonsense that you've grown accustomed to.Created by Steve Englehart and Jim Starlin back in 1973, Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu, was on the leading edge of the martial arts craze. Inspired in large part by the ABC TV show Kung Fu, Englehart and Starlin developed the idea of the noble Shang-Chi, who rebelled against his father, the villainous Fu Manchu, who had trained him to be a living weapon. Premiering in Special Marvel Edition 15, Shang-Chi took over the title and had a long successful run for many years. He would frequently show up in other characters' titles as well, such as Spider-Man and Iron Man. He was always a street-level character, using his martial arts skills to fight bad guys in stories with more of an espionage tone. The film takes the basic idea -an idealistic hero whose father is a criminal overlord - but very little of the comic book background remains. Despite this, it's highly enjoyable. It borrows heavily from Jackie Chan films at the beginning, but then moves on to take more of a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon approach. Much of the movie's strength comes from its characters. Shang-Chi, as portrayed by Simu Liu, is very likeable and has a sort of everyman quality, despite turning out to be a master of kung fu. The actor actually does many of his own stunts and fight scenes. Awkwafina plays Shang-Chi's best friend, Katy, who provides some comic relief as well as a stalwart friend to go on his journey. The ever amazing Michelle Yeoh appears as Shang-Chi's aunt and quite a martial artist herself. And a major surprise to us, Ben Kingsley makes a return appearance as Trevor Slattery, the besotted actor who played the Mandarin in Iron Man 3. He has some of the funniest scenes in the movie, and they don't feel gratuitous or over the top. The titular ten rings, which in the comics were actual rings that the Mandarin wore on his fingers, are arm bands here. These rings can be used in a variety of ways, which is shown by the different ways that Shang-chi and his father use them. His father tends to use them solely for destructive purposes. Shang-Chi is much more creative in how he uses the rings. Certainly the rings give Shang-Chi a power level far beyond what he has had in the comics. Based off the mid-credits scene, they may have a significant history in the MCU.There were a couple of very interesting cameos in the film too. Wong, from the Dr. Strange films, and the Abomination, from 2008's Hulk, are seen battling in the fight club. There are so many questions! It seems like they are working together to make a little moola. How did that happen?Of course, we also saw Bruce Banner and Capt. Marvel. And we do mean Banner, not Professor Hulk. So what happened to him? How did he turn back into Banner? Will we find out in the She-Hulk series on Disney Plus? The film is a story about family, about revenge, and redemption. Like most Marvel films, it is these elements that make it so relatable. The end sets things up for the possibility that Shang-Chi could be fighting against his sister. We will see. In any case, Shang-Chi appears to be ready to take on a bigger role in the MCU as phase 4 moves forward. For our Sensor Sweep, Karen has a big honkin' book to share: the Master of Kung Fu omnibus volume 1. This hardback collection of Shang-Chi stories includes his first appearance from Special Marvel Edition 15 up through Master of Kung Fu 37, and includes Giant-Size Master of Kung Fu 1-4, Giant-Size Spider-Man 2, and Iron Man Annual 4. This is a great way to get your Shang-Chi fix! You can check for it at your local comic shop, or check out Amazon. We also wanted to "catch up" with everyone. So we shared a little about what we have been doing. Bob had been busy with Godzillafest the last few weeks. He held back to back weekend events in August. You can go to Bayareafilmevents.com and check out the Video section to see what was going on! He also helped out with a turtle rescue by helping set up a turtle shelter in his backyard for a bunch of turtles.Karen plugs her appearance on her friend Billy D's Magazines and Monsters podcast, dropping this September 16th. She and Billy will discuss the classic 50s sci fi film, It! Terror from Beyond Space, thought by many to be one of the main inspirations for Alien. Besides his podcast, Billy also has a blog site, https://magazinesandmonsters.com/, where he also reviews comics and monster mags. Be sure to check it out!Last but not least, Commander Larry journeyed to SiliCon in San Jose. It was greatly reduced in attendance due to Covid this year, but still entertaining. He also gives a shout out to the Seven Stars Bar and Grill, which is looking for a new location. Finally, Larry has high praise for the new LaLa Land recording of the Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan soundtrack, as well as the Inglorious Treksperts podcast on the soundtrack. For decades, a prevailing sentiment in America has been that the money spent on the space race would be better spent on domestic problems. As a result, the US space program has not fulfilled its potential for several decades. But this perspective is shortsighted; many technologies we take for granted came from midcentury investments in the space program, and there is no telling what innovations we forego by failing to support space exploration today. Fortunately, private actors have begun revitalizing the US space program, and the public sphere has also shown a renewed interest. This panel discusses why America should renew its commitment to exploring space and the actions policymakers and private actors should take to facilitate America's return to the final frontier. A.E. Van Vogt, born April 26th, 1912, died January 28, 2000 at the age of 87, was a science fiction writer who had his heyday from the mid 1940s through the 1960s, with such novels as The Weapon Shops of Isher, Slan, The Voyage of the Space Beagle and The World of Null A. Named a science fiction grandmaster in 1995, Van Vogt started by writing for Astounding Stories under editor John W. Campbell in the early 1940s, and most of those novellas and serialized novels found their way into hardback and paperback years later, as fix-ups, reworked material often with new titles. In 1950, he came under the spell – as did Campbell – of L. Ron Hubbard and Dianetics, and later wrote through the lens of general semantics, founded by Alfred Korzibsky. In 1980, with the publication of a new novel, Cosmic Encounter, and a lawsuit against Twentieth Century Fox over the film Alien, parts of which were derived from his story “Discord in Scarlet” in the book Voyage of the Space Beagle, he was available to be interviewed on February 23, 1980 by Richard Wolinsky's former co-hosts on the radio show Probabilities on KPFA, the late Lawrence Davidson, science fiction book buyer for the legendary Cody's Bookstore in Berkeley, and science fiction author Richard A. Lupoff. A.E. Van Vogt continued to write after the interview, with three more novels, Computerworld, based on the screenplay mentioned in the interview, Null-A Three and To Conquer Kiber, translated into a French edition and never published in English. A.E. Van Vogt settled with Twentieth Century Fox and according to Wikipedia, received $50,000 but no credit for Alien. It! The Terror from Beyond Space is often credited as Dan O'Bannon's inspiration for Alien, but no mention in Wikipedia is made of Van Vogt on that film's page. Van Vogt's name is not listed in the credits for either movie in IMDb. His collaboration with Harlan Ellison, “The Human Operators,” was adapted for the 2002 revival of the TV series The Outer Limits, and the previously mentioned Rod Serling adaptation of the Witch aired in 1971 on Night Gallery. Most of his novels and short stories can be found as e-books through Amazon and other booksellers, along with used paperbacks and hardcovers. This interview was digitized, remastered, and re-edited from two and a half hours of material by Richard Wolinsky in December 2019. The post The Probabilities Archive: A. E. Van Vogt (1912-2000) appeared first on KPFA.
