Hello, and welcome to Entangled! The podcast where we explore the science of consciousness, the true nature of reality, and what it means to be a spiritual being having a human experience.I'm your host, Jordan Youkilis, and this episode - how did the Egyptians know consciousness - continues episode 80, my interview with Chance Gardner. We start with a overview of Schwaller de Lubicz groundbreaking work on symbolist Egypt called The Temple of Man, and how it inspired the life's work of John Anthony West. Next, we dive into consciousness and the correspondence cipher – focusing on the research conducted by Chance and a team of researchers to explore the knowledge of consciousness embedded in the art and architecture of ancient Egypt. We then discuss cycles of consciousness, the golden scission, and snakes. From there, we consider alchemy as the holy of holies in the temple of consciousness. We end this episode discussing the exalted star Regulus and the age of Aquarius. If you're listening to this episode audio only, I recommend you pull up the text & image version on entangledpodcast.substack.com as a companion, as the images are critical to understanding this episode. Hello, and welcome to Entangled! The podcast where we explore the science of consciousness, the true nature of reality, and what it means to be a spiritual being having a human experience.Today I'm joined by Chance Gardner, artist and producer of the Magical Egypt series. In this conversation, we discuss pioneer of ancient Egypt research, John Anthony West, and how his book Serpent in the Sky influenced Chance's interest in Egypt. We consider the two models of ancient Egypt, and the importance of icons and symbols. We discuss Eastern philosophy as top down and Western as bottoms up. Next, we discuss the principle of “As above, so below”, and the significance of organic geometry. From there, we discuss the neters of Egyptian mythology as “principles”, not “gods”. We talk about Edgar Mitchell's kundalini experience returning from the moon, and the concept of different planes of self. Chance considers cities as people farms, predicated on us not knowing our true nature. We consider the 128 sidhis known to the ancient Egyptians, serving as deeper organs of perception.Chance describes Angkor Wat as the stairway to heaven, and how it contains the secrets of kundalini. We discuss devas and asuras, and what they tell us about the history of humanity. We then discuss esoteric art and the recurrence of the third eye in Eastern spiritual traditions. From there, we talk about white and black magic and differentials in power. We discuss how the meaning of myth has been inverted, and consider evil as an interruption to the organizational pattern. We then discuss fraternal orders and ceremonial magic. Chance and I consider where humanity is within the yuga cycle, and reference the Three Body Problem. Chance discusses mandalas and their impact on brain coherence, and how hieroglyphics serve as a lesson in syncretism.Next, Chance explains how he first met John Anthony West and get involved in Magical Egypt. We talk about the age of the Sphinx, and theorize about its missing partner. We discuss the moon voyages and whether the public footage of those events has been edited and censored. Chance describes the hypnogogic realms and how the mind unfurls in higher dimensions. We consider the intersection of Egyptology, intelligence agencies, and the phallus of Osiris. Chance describes anamnesis as the recognition of fundamental truth. We then discuss how Heka differs from our traditional understanding of magic, and discuss hierarchies of consciousness. Chance describes how ceremonial magic attracts more nefarious individuals like Michael Aquino, founder of the Temple of Set. We discuss Disneyland and Club 33, and the tradition of human sacrifice.Next, we talk about the relationship between Egypt and Atlantis. Chance describes how the ancient Egyptians used sacred art to record the structure and functioning of consciousness. We end this conversation discussing how the brain is built to work in symbols. This Outro is titled “How Did the Egyptians Know Consciousness?” and begins at episode 81. Chance Gardner and Vanese McNeil, producers of the legendary documentary series Magical Egypt, join the show this week. We discuss Getting history right and wrong. The legacy of John Anthony West and R. A. Schwaller de Lubicz. Materialism and its impact on studying history. The latest series of Magical Egypt -which Gordon is in! I mention at the outset that this episode was actually recorded six months ago. The plan was to release it at the same time as a video on hermeticism that I was going to shoot at an Ancient Egypt exhibition in Canberra (which is mentioned in my animism series). But that didn't happen, and then I thought I would do it at the Island of the Sun in Bolivia, and so on. Anyway, it's not six months later and I am choosing to blame the curse of the mummy, lol. A super fun chat, nonetheless. And a real high point in my own life to actually be in the legendary Magical Egypt series myself. Show Notes Watch the latest series of Magical Egypt here. Explore abrupt climate change and pandemic induced by comets and asteroids during human history at George Howard’s blog called The Cosmic Tusk. The Tusk also contains a treasure trove of scientific documents in The Cosmic Tusk Bibliography or The Complete Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis Bibliography and Publication Archive. Links to fascinating findings throughout. For many years, George has been in close touch with a group of scientists known as the Younger Dryas Boundary Team, or Comet Research Group, which studies and proposes the Younger Dryas Boundary Hypothesis, which we’re going to talk a lot about here very soon. At the Tusk and during this episode, you can find out about topics like what a Cosmic Tusk actually is, the recent findings of a cosmic impact at ancient Abu Hureyra, the mysterious and impressive Carolina Bays, the implications of the discovery of the Hiawatha Crater under an ice sheet in Greenland, and we even touch on infectious microbes inside cosmic dust collected from the OUTSIDE surface of Space Station windows. Yeah, links are in the show notes for your further exploration. Thanks for listening, subscribe if you haven’t already, and...for a little context, we recorded this a couple of months ago, when life was still relatively normal, despite the knowing that coronavirus impacts, pardon the pun, were on the way. You’ll also hear some curious audio sounds when I talk, in the early part of the episode which I minimized as much as possible while keeping all of the fun stuff. I think you’re going to enjoy hearing about all of this I mentioned earlier. So which one should we start with? At The Temple of the Way of Light, a traditional Shipibo plant-medicine shamanic healing center in Peru, I sat down with former actor, photographer, Thai boxer Jason Sadhana Grechanik for a deep, thoughtful conversation about traditional plant medicine work. Jason was a facilitator during my recent 23 day, 7 ceremony ayahuasca retreat at the Temple, in the Amazon jungle. Fergal recounts his epic journey to Pakistan’s Shandur Polo Festival at the world’s highest elevation Polo grounds. Along the 1500 mile route, he rode his trusty Suzuki GS150 motorcycle (nicknamed Bucephalus), met a Sufi mystic, and slept through an army shootout with Afghan Taliban goat rustlers. “After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.” ― Philip Pullman Subscribe for new podcast episode Email Notifications HERE See Fergal’s Photos from His Motorcycle Journey to Shandur Top ------> https://genuinelyuseful.com/podcast-fergal-nolan ---> Hear All of the Podcast's Featured Music HERE Genuinely Useful podcast is sponsored by Magical Egypt (listen to episode 13 with Chance Gardner, released Nov 8, 2018) You can Save 15% on Magical Egypt with Coupon Code "genuse" Own Both Magical Egypt Series 1 and 2 You can also support the podcast by visiting Bandcamp to listen and/or buy the music This episode's featured song - “Wars Ragin” https://abeslogic.bandcamp.com/track/wars-ragin Plot a Route: See the 1500 mile route: The Road To Shandur Top The Fairy-Faith in Celtic Countries by W.Y. Chance Gardner is an award-winning graphic designer, 3d animator, cinematographer and editor. After a 20 year career producing motion graphics and on-air promo for major TV networks including 20th Century Fox, Paramount Studios and NBC/Universal, he retired from television in 2001 to make documentaries. His first documentary “Magical Egypt” became a cult classic and is still in wide circulation around the world. After 15 years, Gardner has returned to the Magical Egypt project to produce the much anticipated Magical Egypt series 2, which features the iconic personalities from the original ME, plus a new generation of researchers and unorthodox thinkers, all united by a common fascination with the unexplained mysteries of the past. The new series is described as “a forensic recreation of ancient science through a study of ancient aesthetics”. The tagline for the new series is: “Where science refuses to go, and where religion forbids us to look, the artist takes over as the rightful tour guide.”Tonight Chance discusses the mysteries of Egyptian architecture and the hidden messages and logos that show us what some believe to be powerful hidden esoteric knowledge. With the recent passing of John Anthony West, we couldn’t ask for a better person to discuss this with us nonother than the creator of Magical Egypt himself Chance Gardner. Chance will also discuss his new series up to episode 4 of Magical Egypt 2. Check it out at www.magicalegypt.comMusic by my man chronox, and Kevin Mcloud and spaceboy at spaceboymusic.com
