Paris Saint-Germain's season ended with a Ligue 1 title celebration, but for supporters, the pyrotechnics couldn't be put out fast enough as many look forward to a much-needed summer rebuild under new leadership. On this episode of PSG Talking, I'm joined by Ethan from PSG Fan Club Boise to discuss one of the oddest trophy celebrations in recent memory, which included a 3-2 loss to Clermont Foot 63. We also highlight Luis Campos' transfer strategy and react to the latest news about where Lionel Messi will play next and who might take over as head coach. We begin by highlighting PSG's last match of the season. Before kickoff, it was announced that Sergio Ramos wouldn't be returning to the club, and outgoing manager Christophe Galtier was the first to announce that the match would be Messi's last in a PSG shirt. Following the loss to Clermont, PSG hoisted the trophy, but not before the Ultras booed Messi and Neymar Jr.Next, we react to the news that Julian Nagelsmann is the frontrunner for the PSG job, with Galtier reportedly being let go. Not only is the former FC Bayern Munich man interested in the PSG job, but he could also bring Thierry Henry as an assistant. How will the French football legend impact PSG's transfer plans? The show continues with a discussion about Marco Asensio and Manuel Ugarte, who have reportedly signed with PSG. We rate both transfers and comment on Chelsea FC's continued shenanigans regarding transfers involving Les Parisiens. We also discuss the potential arrival of Xavi Simons, Marcus Thuram, Bernardo Silva, and others.During the podcast, news broke that Messi is reportedly considering going to FC Barcelona or Inter Miami of Major League Soccer. We react to the details of the story, including Messi taking a percentage of Apple's broadcast deal with MLS.On the second half of the show, we answer questions sent in via Twitter and Discord. As always, thank you for listening, and be sure to subscribe and rate the show wherever you download your podcasts. We question whether El Chadaille Bitshiabu is worth keeping in the squad next season or loaning out for more experience. We also come to the conclusion that signing a quality backup goalkeeper to keep pressure on Gianluigi Donnarumma would be a good thing. In the celebration of the Ligue 1 title, one player who was absent was Neymar Jr. While Presnel Kimpembe, Nuno Mendes, Achraf Hakimi, Fabian Ruiz, and Nordi Mukiele all made the trip despite not being in the squad, while Neymar could only post an Instagram Story of him watching the game in comfort elsewhere. We question Neymar's love for the club and plead with clubs to make a bid for the Brazil international this summer.Neymar's best friend in the club, Lionel Messi, scored against Strasbourg and became the top scorer in the history of the five major European championships with 496 goals.

The match was hotly contested initially, with Lens giving PSG all they could handle, then in the 19th minute, Lens midfielder Salis Abdul Samed received a straight red after a dangerous tackle on Achraf Hakimi. Down to 10 men, the sting was taken out of the Lens attack, and PSG scored three goals in 9 minutes before halftime. We debate what we liked about the match, what we didn't, and share our overall thoughts on the victory.Next, we discuss PSG's manager, Christophe Galtier, who is embroiled in controversy dating back to his time at OGC Nice in 2021. The alleged contents of a leaked email indicate that Galtier made racist and insensitive remarks during a meeting in 2021. While we don't know if the contents of the email are accurate and Galtier has not only denied the allegations but taken legal action, we discuss how PSG should handle the situation and whether sacking Galtier is more difficult now.We wrap up the show by discussing transfer targets and whether PSG should go all in for superstar Victor Osimhen, or sign several players instead to fill in the holes in the squad. We also share what we'll be looking for during PSG's final seven matches and we highlight former manager, Thomas Tuchel, who is having a rough go of it at FC Bayern Munich. As always, thank you for listening, and be sure to subscribe and rate the show wherever you download your podcasts. ..
