We've talked about the shady side of financial advising. Still, as you've heard on The Money Bare podcast-- if you're going to work with a financial advisor, we always recommend working with a fiduciary who is a Certified Financial Planner. But what happens when your fiduciary professional doesn't have your best interests in mind or, at the very least, doesn't know better? Unfortunately, that happened to Tess Waresmith, and she explains how she recovered in this week's episode.Tess is the founder of Wealth with Tess, a financial education platform helping women professionals and entrepreneurs build their wealth and confidence using simple investing strategies that anyone can do (even if they are short on time or a total beginner.)After making many mistakes, Tess became committed to learning how to invest successfully on her own. She also currently serves as the VP of Operations at a global marketing agency and over the last 7 years has been promoted 7 times and 4x'd her salary.Tess believes that the most important things that money can buy are time, freedom, flexibility, and a greater ability to make an impact and she wants that for every single person.Follow Tess on Instagram - @wealthwithtessFollow Tess on Tik tok - @wealthwithtessFree Investing Workshop - How to Build Wealth The Simple Way Join my next free workshop to learn how to invest in the stock market using an effective, low-maintenance strategy, perfect for busy professionals and entrepreneurs short on time or beginners.Financial Independence Checklist - If you want to ensure you have enough money to retire but aren't sure where to start or don't know if you are behind financially, this is the checklist for you: https://www.moneyconfidentcoach.com/financialindependencechecklistTwenty-six need-to-know investing terms - Grab this guide to start demystifying financial jargon while you are on your financial journey.Related Episodes:Quick Money Tip #9: How I Increased my Net Worth by $300k in 5 Years$1 million mistake?! Today's episode features Chloé Daniels, founder of Clo Bare Money Coach. Chloé is a money coach and focuses her time on helping people learn how to invest and build wealth the lazy way. Her ultimate goal is to provide education in a fun, easy-to-understand, and accessible way and is known for her Reels and TikToks that showcase her hilarious dance moves while also providing finance tips. Despite her current success, Chloé didn't start out with so much confidence and knowledge about money. There was a time (back in 2017) when she struggled to see a path toward paying off her student loans. In 2018, things started to change as she began budgeting and getting deeper into the financial space. Things took off quickly and in 2021 she quit the workforce to pursue financial coaching full-time and is on track to retire in her 40s! Chloé does this all in such a relatable way that comes across as fun and non-intimidating. If you've been looking for someone to make personal finance fun for you, Chloé might be just the person for you (seriously, her dances are hilarious).
