Mùa thu này, Vatican và Trung Quốc sẽ ký lại thỏa thuận về những hoạt động của Giáo hội Công Giáo tại Trung Quốc. Thỏa thuận giữa Toà Thánh và Trung Quốc, có giá trị 2 năm, liên quan đến nhiều vấn đề trong đó có việc truyền chức và bổ nhiệm các giám mục. Việc tái ký thỏa thuận đã gây nhiều đồn đoán ngay từ đầu năm nay, với những dấu hiệu đơn phương từ Hồng Y Pietro Parolin, Quốc Vụ khanh Toà Thánh, vốn là kiến trúc sư của thỏa thuận khi còn là ngoại trưởng Toà Thánh. Điều này đã trở nên rõ ràng khi ngài phát biểu trong một tham luận tại một hội thảo nhân dịp kỷ niệm 100 năm Công Đồng Thượng Hải, được tổ chức bởi Đại học Urbaniana ngày 21/05/2024. Linh mục Phạm Hoàng Dũng, từ Liège, Bỉ, trước hếtgiải thích bối cảnh ra đời và ý nghĩa của Công đồng Trung Quốc.Hội thảo “100 năm kể từ Công đồng Trung Quốc: Giữa lịch sử và hiện tại” Hội thảo này có tên gọi “100 anni dal Concilium Sinense: tra storia e presente”, được tổ chức tại đại học Urbania (Pontificia Università Urbaniana) với sự hợp tác của Cơ quan thông tấn Fides (Agenza Fides) và Ủy Ban Mục Vụ Trung Quốc (Commissione Pastorale per la Cina). Đây là một hội thảo khoa học có sự tham dự và tham luận của Hồng Y Pietro Parolin, Quốc vụ khanh Toà Thánh, Hồng Y Luis Antonio Tagle, Quyền Bộ trưởng Bộ Truyền Giáo và Giám mục Thượng Hải Giuse Thẩm Bân (Joseph Shen Bin), Chủ tịch Hội Đồng Giám Mục Trung Quốc.Công đồng Trung Hoa (tên chính thức), hay Công đồng Thượng Hải theo tên gọi phổ biến, là cuộc họp chính thức đầu tiên tổ chức tại Thượng Hải vào năm 1924 quy tụ các giám mục, những người đứng đầu công việc truyền bá Ki-tô giáo ở Trung Quốc vào thời điểm đó nhằm thống nhất và đề ra những đường hướng cho một hàng giáo sỹ người bản xứ. Nói nôm na là những bước đầu tiên của Giáo hội Công giáo Trung Quốc.Chúng ta cũng cần biết lúc đó, công việc truyền đạo là do người ngoại quốc, Pháp, Tây Ban Nha, Bồ Đào Nha, Ý v.v… thực hiện một cách riêng rẽ. Thế nên một cuộc họp của những người có trách nhiệm này là hết sức quan trọng không chỉ đối với việc thành lập hàng giáo sỹ tại Trung Quốc, mà cả việc đào tạo nguồn nhân lực cho việc tự chủ và phát triển của Giáo hội tại Trung Quốc.Sự hiện diện nhiều ý nghĩa của giám mục Thượng HảiTại hội thảo này, sự có mặt và đóng góp tham luận của giám mục Thượng Hải Giuse Thẩm Bân có nhiều ý nghĩa khác nhau. Không chỉ ngài đại diện cho giáo phận nơi đã diễn ra công đồng lịch sử của Giáo hội Trung Quốc, mà ngài đang là Chủ tịch Hội Đồng Giám Mục Trung Quốc, nhưng không được Toà Thánh công nhận vì cơ quan này do Nhà nước Trung Quốc chi phối. Chính ngài đã là nhân vật gây tranh cãi khi được bổ nhiệm làm Giám Mục Thượng Hải hồi năm 2023 trước khi được Tòa Thánh chuẩn nhận.Việc công nhận này chỉ được thực hiện 3 tháng sau. Chính Đức Hồng Y Parolin cho biết ngài chỉ biết được vụ việc qua báo chí. Điều này cho thấy Nhà nước Trung Quốc một mặt vẫn ký kết những thỏa thuận với Toà Thánh, mặt khác vẫn thực hiện chính sách tôn giáo của riêng họ. Và nhiều lúc đặt đối tác trước “việc đã rồi” để buộc phải giải quyết.Người đứng đầu cơ quan của Nhà nước sẽ tận dụng cơ hội để trình bày chính sách của Trung Quốc?Đức Giám mục Thượng Hải đã có bài tham luận dài 15 phút bằng tiếng Quan Thoại. Trong bài đó, ngài đã nói về di sản của Công đồng Thượng Hải năm 1924, vốn đã khuyến khích Giáo hội ở Trung Quốc, do các nhà truyền giáo ngoại quốc điều hành vào thời điểm đó, phát triển hàng giáo sỹ địa phương và tránh xa khỏi chế độ thuộc địa của các cường quốc Tây Phương, vốn ủng hộ một tôn giáo không còn bị coi là ngoại lai nữa.Ngài nói rằng ngày nay, Giáo hội ở Trung Quốc nên tuân theo chính sách “Hán hoá – sinicization”, để làm cho Công giáo trở nên mang tính Trung Quốc hơn, như áp dụng các hình thức nghệ thuật, kiến trúc và âm nhạc tôn giáo truyền thống của địa phương.“Hán hoá – sinicization” cũng là tên của một chiến dịch do nhà lãnh đạo Tập Cận Bình phát động nhằm biến đổi và kiểm soát toàn bộ đất nước, bao gồm cả tôn giáo, bằng cách điều chỉnh chính sách văn hóa Trung Quốc theo hệ tư tưởng của Đảng Cộng Sản Trung Quốc. Theo trang mạng National Catholic Register, chính Đức cha Thẩm Bân đã thừa nhận điều này. Trả lời phỏng vấn một hãng thông tấn Nhà nước hồi năm ngoái, ngài nói rằng việc Hán hoá Ki-tô giáo ở Trung Quốc tức là dùng "các giá trị xã hội chủ nghĩa cốt yếu để đưa ra một cách giải thích thần học và các học thuyết của giáo hội phù hợp với Trung Quốc."Trong bài tham luận tại hội thảo, ngài lưu ý, quy chế của hội đồng giám mục (Trung Quốc) nêu rõ rằng sứ mệnh của cơ quan này là “bảo vệ đức tin, rao giảng Tin Mừng và quảng bá một Giáo hội thánh thiện dựa trên Kinh Thánh và Truyền thống, tuân thủ theo tinh thần của Giáo hội Công giáo phổ quát và tông truyền và Công đồng Vatican II.”Tuy nhiên, đây chỉ là phần trích dẫn của tài liệu với câu tiếp theo nói rằng hội đồng giám mục “ủng hộ sự lãnh đạo của Đảng Cộng Sản Trung Quốc, hệ thống xã hội chủ nghĩa và tuân thủ các nguyên tắc độc lập và tự chủ trong các vấn đề chính trị, kinh tế và Giáo Hội.”Đức Cha Thẩm Bân cũng bào chữa cho chính sách tôn giáo và gián tiếp nói đến sự độc lập của “Giáo Hội Trung Quốc”: “Chính sách tự do tôn giáo do chính phủ Trung Quốc thực hiện không có mục đích thay đổi đức tin Công giáo, mà chỉ hy vọng rằng các giáo sĩ và tín hữu Công giáo sẽ bảo vệ lợi ích của người dân Trung Quốc và thoát khỏi sự kiểm soát của các thế lực nước ngoài.”Hán hoá ở Trung Quốc, hay hội nhập văn hoá của Ki-tô giáo nói chung là quá trình tất yếu khi Ki-tô giáo đi vào một nên văn hoá hay xã hội qua dòng lịch sử. Nhưng Hán hoá theo đường lối xã hội chủ nghĩa thì không còn mang nghĩa của Tin Mừng của Chúa Ki-tô. Có lẽ đây là câu trả lời cho những gì đã xảy ra một năm trước qua vụ bổ nhiệm giám mục Thượng Hải, trong văn thư thông báo việc chấp nhận của Tòa Thánh, Đức Hồng Y Parolin đã kêu gọi tổ chức một hội đồng giám mục Trung Quốc với “các quy chế phù hợp với bản chất của Giáo hội và sứ mệnh mục vụ của hội đồng này”.Đức Cha Thẩm Bân dùng Kinh Thánh để nói lên mối tương quan: “Khi giải quyết mối quan hệ giữa Giáo hội và Nhà nước, tôn giáo và chính trị, chúng ta phải quay lại với những gì Kinh Thánh nói: “Hãy trả cho Ceasar những gì của Ceasar và cho Thiên Chúa những gì của Thiên Chúa”.Như vậy, Trung Quốc đã có các chính sách tôn giáo của riêng mình bất chấp mọi thỏa thuận với các đối tác dù có những văn bản ký kết.Vậy tại sao Tòa Thánh lại tiếp tục đơn phương ký tái kết ?Trong tham luận tại cuộc hội thảo này, Đức Hồng Y Pietro Parolin đã mượn hình ảnh của vị giám mục Celso Costantini, người đã triệu tập Công đồng Thượng Hải này để nói về chính sách ngoại giao giữa Tòa Thánh và Trung Quốc hiện tại.Theo Hồng Y Parolin, chìa khoá cho một Giáo hội hưng thịnh ở Trung Quốc là làm cho Giáo hội địa phương trở thành “truyền giáo” nhưng không phải do người nước ngoài và sự tham gia của Toà Thánh với chính phủ ở cấp độ các vấn đề giáo hội mà thôi. Tức là một đại diện của Toà Thánh hiện diện ở Trung Quốc thuần tuý mang tính chất mục vụ và bỏ qua những yếu tố mang tính chất ngoại giao của các sứ giả đến từ Vatican.Nỗ lực ngoại giao “không ngoại giao này” có hiệu quả hay là nhượng bộ  chính phủ Trung Quốc?Trong bài thuyết trình, Đức Parolin cho biết : Đức giám mục Costantini đã có “một cái nhìn sâu sắc khác thường” về tình hình và những thách thức của Giáo hội ở Trung Quốc, từ đó ngài đã định hình “chiến lược truyền giáo và ngoại giao” để dẫn tới Công đồng đầu tiên của Giáo hội ở Trung Quốc vào năm 1924.Một vấn đề quan trọng được xác định bởi người đại diện của Giáo Hoàng vừa mới được bổ nhiệm, đó là Giáo hội “ở Trung Quốc - in China” chứ không phải là người Trung Quốc, với “sự phụ thuộc dai dẳng và sau đó quá mức vào thành phần nước ngoài của sứ mệnh truyền giáo”, “được biểu hiện bằng cả hai cách qua sự hiện diện gần như độc quyền của các giáo sĩ nước ngoài và sự ưu tiên độc quyền của một số nhóm truyền giáo, với sự bảo trợ từ các cường quốc phương Tây và phương pháp mục vụ cũng có kết quả từ đó”.  Parolin trích lời của nhà truyền giáo đầu thế kỷ XX, “chúng tôi đã ở Trung Quốc hơn ba thế kỷ. Toàn bộ hệ thống phẩm trật giáo hội vẫn còn xa lạ. Đây có phải giáo hội mà Chúa Kitô mong muốn hay không ? Giáo hội phải hội nhập và không thể mãi mãi là những người khách xa lạ.” Hồng Y cũng nêu lên mối lo ngại của Costantini rằng “viện trợ nhân lực” từ nước ngoài có thể có hiệu quả cho việc mở rộng việc truyền giáo trong một thời gian. Nhưng nó “cũng có sức nặng về mặt tinh thần đối với công cuộc truyền giáo”.Hồng Y Parolin nói: “Niềm tin này đi kèm với nhận thức rằng để khôi phục sức mạnh cho công cuộc truyền giáo trong nước, Giáo hội Công giáo sẽ phải tự giải thoát khỏi các sự kiện chính trị và lợi ích thuộc địa, sẽ phải đứng tách biệt bên ngoài và ở trên chúng”. Để thấy được sự chuyển đổi cần thiết của Giáo Hội ở Trung Quốc từ “các sứ mệnh truyền giáo ngoại quốc” sang một Giáo Hội “hội nhập văn hóa đích thực” ở Trung Quốc, Đức Hồng Y Parolin nhấn mạnh phải có cuộc đối thoại trực tiếp giữa Giáo Hội và chính quyền Nhà nước.“Chúng tôi từ lâu đã hy vọng có được sự hiện diện ổn định ở Trung Quốc” đó là niềm hy vọng của Quốc vụ khanh Tòa Thánh hiện tại và sứ thần Toà Thánh trong quá khứ. Sự hiện diện đó “ban đầu có thể không mang hình thức đại diện giáo hoàng của một sứ thần Toà Thánh”, mà là một vị đại diện mục vụ thuần tuý.Cả Costantini và Parolin đều đồng ý rằng cuộc đối thoại phải được củng cố bởi “mối hiệp thông với Người kế vị Thánh Phê-rô. Sự hiệp thông này chính xác là sự bảo đảm tốt nhất cho một đức tin xa rời các lợi ích chính trị bên ngoài và gắn chặt với văn hoá và xã hội địa phương.” Parolin trích dẫn Costantinni: “Giáo hoàng là nhà lãnh đạo tinh thần của tất cả các tín hữu Công giáo trên toàn thế giới, dù họ ở bất cứ nước nào, nhưng sự vâng phục giáo hoàng không làm tổn hại đến tình yêu mà mỗi người dành cho đất nước mình.”Bài thuyết trình của Đức Hồng Y Parolin đã đưa ra một bài học có vẻ đơn giản từ lịch sử về cách ứng xử của Giáo hội với Trung Quốc: một Giáo hội địa phương do các giám mục Trung Quốc lãnh đạo cùng với giáo hoàng, được hỗ trợ bằng cuộc đối thoại trực tiếp giữa Roma và Bắc Kinh, chỉ giới hạn trong các vấn đề riêng của Giáo hội.Tuy nhiên, bất kỳ ai theo dõi mối quan hệ Vatican - Trung Quốc trong sáu năm qua đều biết tình hình không hề đơn giản và trong mắt nhiều người, Parolin đang vạch ra một con đường không tưởng.Bài học lịch sử không thể áp dụng cho hoàn cảnh hiện tại ?Bài học lịch sử mà đức Hồng Y Parolin rút ra dường như không thể áp dụng vào trường hợp Trung Quốc hiện tại. Vatican dường như không thể tạo dựng bất kỳ mối quan hệ có ý nghĩa nào với Trung Quốc, mà hoàn toàn tách biệt khỏi các vấn đề ngoại giao. Đài Loan sẽ luôn là điều kiện mà Trung Quốc đặt lên bàn đàm phám một khi Vatican muốn thiết lập quan hệ ngoại giao đầy đủ.Trong khi Đức Hồng Y Parolin có thể nói một cách nồng nhiệt về việc loại bỏ các vấn đề ngoại giao ra khỏi chính sách ngoại giao với Trung Quốc, thì trên thực tế, Trung Quốc có chính sách rõ ràng về việc yêu cầu hủy bỏ công nhận Đài Loan như một điều kiện tiên quyết để tiến tới quan hệ với Bắc Kinh. Vatican là một trong số ít các quốc gia vẫn công nhận và duy trì quan hệ ngoại giao đầy đủ với Đài Loan. Với những ai theo dõi tình hình ngoại giao, Trung Quốc luôn dùng Đài Loan như một điều kiện, vì đối với Bắc Kinh, hòn đảo này vẫn là một tỉnh nổi loạn.Sau bài phát biểu của Đức Hồng Y Parolin tại hội thảo, bộ Ngoại giao Đài Loan đã đưa ra một tuyên bố: “Chúng tôi hiểu là Tòa Thánh hy vọng thúc đẩy quyền tự do tín ngưỡng và quyền của người Công giáo Trung Quốc và đã nhiều lần công khai bày tỏ mong muốn cử đại diện đến Trung Quốc”.Thật không may cho Vatican, ngoại giao không thể được thực hiện trong môi trường chân không và ngày càng rõ ràng rằng các trao đổi ngoại giao giữa Vatican với Trung Quốc là một trò chơi có giá phải trả.Vatican có thể tái ký thỏa thuận với Trung Quốc và công nhận hội đồng giám mục do Nhà nước kiểm soát. Nhưng để tiến xa hơn trong mối quan hệ ngoại giao với Nhà nước Trung Quốc, có lẽ Toà Thánh không thể quên rằng luôn còn đó một nước Đài Loan và một “Giáo Hội Trung Quốc khác” mà những nhà lãnh đạo Trung Quốc sẽ sẵn sàng đặt lên bàn thương lượng.RFI Tiếng Việt xin cảm ơn Linh mục Phạm Hoàng Dũng từ Liège, Bỉ.

È in questa prospettiva, delineata dalle parole del segretario di Stato vaticano, cardinale Pietro Parolin, che va interpretato il convegno a cento anni del Concilio di Shanghai, a cui anche Parolin ha partecipato ieri, 21 maggio, facendo poi a margine il commento succitato.In realtà si è trattato di una commemorazione in due tappe: lunedì 20 a Milano, organizzata dall'Università Cattolica, e ieri appunto a Roma, organizzata dalla Pontificia Università Urbaniana; entrambe rese possibili dalla Comunità di Sant'Egidio, che tanto si sta impegnando per promuovere lo "spirito" del controverso accordo segreto tra Cina e Santa Sede, firmato nel 2018, rinnovato ogni due anni e ora in procinto di essere approvato definitivamente.Sia a Milano che a Roma grande presenza cinese tra i relatori, tutti ovviamente legati al regime comunista di Pechino, vescovi compresi: a Milano era presente il vescovo mongolo di Hohhot, Meng Qinglu, che ha partecipato a diverse ordinazioni episcopali illegittime; a Roma c'era invece il vescovo di Shanghai, Giuseppe Shen Bin, protagonista del famoso "schiaffo" del regime comunista alla Santa Sede: fu insediato a Shanghai il 4 aprile 2023 dal governo e il Papa, spalle al muro, lo ha riconosciuto soltanto il 15 luglio successivo. Che oggi sia relatore a un convegno in Vaticano la dice lunga sui rapporti di forza stabiliti dall'accordo e soprattutto sulla resa vaticana disposta a concedere tutto pur di piantare una bandierina a Pechino.IL CONCILIO DI SHANGHAINon stupisce quindi che il ricordo del Concilium Sinense di Shanghai (maggio-giugno 1924) sia stata un'occasione per reinterpretare la storia ad uso delle esigenze attuali. Ma cos'è stato il Concilio di Shanghai? Soprattutto la modalità con cui si iniziò ad attuare in Cina le indicazioni al mondo missionario che papa Benedetto XV aveva dato con la Lettera apostolica Maximum Illud (1919): il papa notava che in diverse parti del mondo, il compito missionario era frenato dall'eccessiva dipendenza del clero dalle potenze coloniali che controllavano quelle regioni; da qui, ad esempio, l'esigenza di promuovere la creazione di un clero indigeno «perfettamente formato»: «Come la Chiesa di Dio è universale, e quindi per nulla straniera presso nessun popolo, così è conveniente che in ciascuna nazione vi siano dei sacerdoti capaci di indirizzare, come maestri e guide, per la via dell'eterna salute i propri connazionali».Monsignor Celso Costantini, inviato come delegato apostolico in Cina da papa Pio XI alla fine del 1922, fu il grande regista di questo cammino, e già nel 1926 ci fu l'ordinazione a Roma di sei vescovi cinesi, un modo per sottolineare che la "indigenizzazione" della Chiesa era strettamente legata alla sua universalità.Il tentativo neanche troppo velato dei due convegni celebrativi di questi giorni è quello di creare un parallelo tra quel processo di "nazionalizzazione" e l'attuale "sinicizzazione" imposta dal presidente cinese Xi Jinping attraverso l'Associazione Patriottica dei Cattolici Cinesi, e avallata dalle gerarchie vaticane. Lo dimostra anche un passaggio del videomessaggio di papa Francesco al convegno romano, quando ha detto: «A Shanghai, i Padri riuniti nel Concilium Sinense vissero un'esperienza autenticamente sinodale e presero insieme decisioni importanti. Lo Spirito Santo li riunì, fece crescere l'armonia tra loro, li portò lungo strade che molti tra loro non avrebbero immaginato, superando anche le perplessità e le resistenze. Così fa lo Spirito Santo che guida la Chiesa». In pratica, dice il Papa, lo Spirito santo, attraverso la sinodalità, li ha fatti passare da una contrarietà all'ordinazione del clero locale all'apertura di «nuove strade». Sottinteso, è quello che stiamo facendo oggi; vale a dire che chi critica l'accordo con la Cina non è aperto allo Spirito Santo.UNA EVIDENTE FORZATURA STORICAIl parallelo con il Concilio di Shanghai però è una evidente forzatura storica. Non solo per il contesto politico e sociale di allora totalmente diverso da quello attuale: la Cina viveva ancora nello sconquasso succeduto alla rivoluzione repubblicana del 1911-12 che aveva rovesciato la dinastia Qing, alla Prima guerra mondiale e alla stagione dei Signori della guerra. Una situazione ben lontana da quella dell'attuale regime totalitario che oggi controlla con il pugno di ferro tutta la Cina e tende ad espandersi.Ma soprattutto, nei documenti dei papi Benedetto XV e Pio XI, nell'opera di monsignor Costantini, nell'azione di importanti figure cattoliche cinesi del tempo (ricordate anche in questi convegni) si capisce come l'unica vera preoccupazione fosse «l'annuncio di Cristo». Era l'impeto missionario che spingeva a trovare le modalità migliori per far arrivare Cristo a ogni uomo, a ogni popolo. Non c'erano calcoli politici, ma si richiamava alla loro vocazione originaria i missionari che «non sono inviati dalla loro patria, ma da Cristo». Il processo di indigenizzazione del clero, dunque, era frutto dello zelo missionario. Partecipando a questi convegni di Milano e Roma si è avuta invece la netta percezione del cammino contrario: sistemare la Chiesa in modo da legittimarne la "nazionalizzazione", ma proprio nel senso voluto dal regime comunista. In fondo tutti gli interventi sottintendevano questo obiettivo.C'è un secondo aspetto molto importante, per rivelare la subdola menzogna su cui certe posizioni si fondano. Forzando il parallelo tra l'atteggiamento vaticano di oggi e quello del secolo scorso, si salta a piedi pari tutto quello che è accaduto in questi cento anni, e cosa sta accadendo ancora oggi. La Chiesa cinese, per quanto piccola nei numeri, ha dato una grande prova di fede attraverso il martirio: solo dall'avvento del regime comunista, nel 1949, sono migliaia i cattolici cinesi che hanno pagato con il sangue la loro appartenenza a Cristo e la loro fedeltà al Papa. E tuttora pagano questa appartenenza con una persecuzione sistematica, aggravatasi dopo gli accordi Cina-Santa Sede del 2018. Una persecuzione che si è ora allargata anche a Hong Kong, dove sono decine e decine i cattolici in prigione. È il martirio e la fedeltà di tanti la dimostrazione che la Chiesa è diventata davvero cinese; questa è la vera "sinicizzazione", che si dovrebbe continuare a perseguire.Invece su tutta questa realtà, da parte del Vaticano è calato un tragico silenzio; nei due convegni sul Concilio di Shanghai, a un ascoltatore ignaro della reale situazione sarebbe sembrato che dovesse essere la Chiesa ad emendarsi dei suoi peccati contro la Cina. Perché l'ascoltatore ignaro non sa che il silenzio è il prezzo da pagare per sperare di «avere una presenza stabile» a Pechino. In particolare, il rapporto ha definito il fenomeno della sorveglianza, delle molestie e della polizia del Partito Comunista Cinese come metodi della repressione transnazionale: "azioni governative per mettere a tacere, controllare o scoraggiare il dissenso e le critiche dei cittadini all'estero, in violazione dei loro diritti umani".Gli studenti intervistati nel rapporto hanno espresso il timore di essere sorvegliati dal governo comunista cinese o da suoi agenti. Il rapporto indica che i funzionari di sicurezza del Partito Comunista Cinese hanno molestato e intimidito le famiglie degli studenti cinesi all'estero ritenuti dissidenti in patria. Inoltre, la "sorveglianza statale delle attività degli studenti all'estero e la censura online" sono stati altri esempi degli sforzi del Partito Comunista Cinese per "limitare la libertà accademica e altri diritti" degli studenti cinesi all'estero, inducendoli a vivere e studiare "in un clima di paura", con il timore di essere "presi di mira dalle leggi e dai regolamenti della Cina e di Hong Kong in materia di sicurezza nazionale e di intelligence".Una studentessa, che nel rapporto viene chiamata col nome fittizio di "Rowan", ha descritto come i funzionari di sicurezza del Partito Comunista Cinese in Cina abbiano contattato suo padre poche ore dopo la sua partecipazione a una commemorazione del massacro di Piazza Tienanmen del 1989. Questi funzionari della sicurezza hanno dato istruzioni al padre di Rowan di «educare la figlia che studia all'estero a non partecipare a eventi che potrebbero danneggiare la reputazione della Cina nel mondo».

Du « son » cubain à l'électro sabar sénégalais, Eliades Ochoa présente son nouvel album Guajiro, et le trio franco-sénégalais Jolo Bass Music. Notre 1er invité est le légendaire chanteur, guitariste et compositeur cubain Eliades Ochoa. Eliades Ochoa est connu et apprécié dans le monde entier pour avoir été l'un des membres fondateurs du Buena Vista Social Club, ayant notamment prêté sa voix à l'emblématique «Chan Chan». Après l'accueil phénoménal de Buena Vista, Ochoa a sorti 9 albums, remporté 4 Latin Grammys et reçu une nomination aux Grammys (pour Afrocubism en 2010). Produit par Demetrio Muñiz et comprenant des invités tels que Rubén Blades, Joan As Police Woman et Charlie Musselwhite, «Guajiro» confirme sa réputation d'artiste le plus important de Cuba au cours du siècle dernier.Les traits rudes, le chapeau caractéristique, les bottes de cow-boy et l'image emblématique de «l'homme en noir»... Les chansons de l'école de la vie imprégnées du genre de sagesse durement gagnée, teintée de country, qui ne s'achète pas. Il n'est pas nécessaire de chercher ou d'écouter trop longtemps pour comprendre pourquoi Eliades Ochoa est souvent surnommé le «Johnny Cash cubain».  Pourtant, si les parallèles abondent, son nouvel album Guajiro montre également qu'il est une voix singulière avec un style et un son unique, enracinés dans la tradition cubaine mais avec un attrait aussi intemporel qu'universel.En 1997, lorsqu'il a accédé à la reconnaissance internationale en tant que membre du Buena Vista Social Club, lauréat d'un Grammy, Eliades était un jeune homme. Certes, il avait alors 50 ans et dirigeait depuis 18 ans le Cuarteto Patria, le groupe phare de Cuba, mais il était encore tout jeune comparé aux légendaires vétérans Compay Segundo et Ibrahim Ferrer, qui jouaient depuis avant sa naissance et avec lesquels il a formé un duo inoubliable sur des chansons classiques telles que Chan Chan et Candela.Un quart de siècle plus tard, Eliades est aujourd'hui un vétéran à l'histoire légendaire et Guajiro présente Eliades comme on ne l'a jamais entendu auparavant. Les chansons de Guajiro - dont la plupart sont ses propres compositions - sont les plus intimes et les plus personnelles qu'Eliades ait jamais enregistrées. «L'album parle beaucoup de moi et de mon histoire», explique-t-il. «C'est vraiment l'histoire de ma vie et chaque chanson a beaucoup de sens. »Pour réaliser Guajiro, il a fait appel à toute une série de collaborateurs prestigieux. Mais d'autres viennent de bien plus loin que les rivages de la musique cubaine, comme l'harmoniciste Charlie Musselwhite, originaire du Mississippi, la légende des Fania All-Stars Rubén Blades et l'auteur de rock indépendant Joan Wasser, qui enregistre sous le nom de Joan As Police Woman. «C'est un album différent de ceux que j'ai faits auparavant, qui me sort de ma zone de confort», note Eliades. «J'ai joué du son cubano traditionnel pendant de nombreuses années et, à ce stade de ma vie, je voulais faire quelque chose d'un peu différent - et j'ai toujours aimé collaborer et m'ouvrir à d'autres rythmes et travailler avec différents artistes. »Il ne sait pas exactement ce qui a déclenché son épanouissement tardif en tant qu'auteur-compositeur, si ce n'est le sentiment que le moment était venu, que l'inspiration était forte et que le parcours de la vie lui avait donné des idées qui ne demandaient qu'à être partagées. «Ma vie n'est plus la même qu'à l'époque où nous avons fait Buena Vista», déclare-t-il.  «Des gens comme Compay et Ibrahim avaient une grande histoire et beaucoup d'histoires, et faire cet album avec eux m'a ouvert les portes du monde entier. Aujourd'hui, j'ai l'impression que c'est le bon moment pour raconter mes histoires. Je me sens bien et ces chansons me tiennent à cœur. He was recently selected for a project “Il Fondo” led by the Santarcangelo Festival, supporting non-conventional artistic research. Maria Varnakkidou is a Cypriot theatre director who studied at Brunel University and completed her master's degree in Theatre Directing at Royal Holloway University in the UK. She has worked in the theatre and film world for the past ten years across various projects. Her interests include devised, immersive, and community theatre, creating work for social change and critical thinking.  She was a creative director of the Buffer Fringe Festival 2020-21, and this year she is one of the artistic curators. Edinburgh-based Polish director Marta Mari, is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago, & has an MA in Arts and Cultural Management from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.  Marta is a director, producer, & teacher and was an artistic director of Asylon Theatre for 9 years creating new writing, site-specific, devised as well as classic works.
