Patients are coming into fertility appointments more informed than ever. They've talked to ChatGPT, researched their treatment options, and sometimes even come in with an idea of what they think their doctor should recommend. So what does that mean for the REI?That's the question Dr. Maria Costantini explores. She's a Partner REI and Medical Director at RMA, and she believes self-awareness may be one of the most important tools physicians have as the patient-physician relationship changes. We dive into:Why patient self-education is reshaping fertility careHow technology is changing physician decision makingDr. Costantini's belief that self-awareness may prevent provider burnoutThe balance between authoritative and collaborative consultationsRMA's new AI and how it supports the patient journeyAI may be changing what patients bring into the exam room, but Dr. Costantini argues that how physicians respond may come down to something much more human.

Could GLP-1 receptor agonists be used to treat binge eating disorder? Binge eating disorder is one of the most common eating disorders, yet treatment options remain limited. Now widely used for type 2 diabetes and weight management, Glucagon-like peptide (GLP)-1 receptor agonists act on pathways involved in appetite and food intake, but little is known about how these medications affect disordered eating behaviours, including binge eating, emotional eating, loss of control eating, and dietary restraint. In this episode, Dr Ilaria Costantini joins eClinicalMedicine Senior Editor Victoria Higgs to discuss her new systematic review and meta-analysis, which draws on data from 25 clinical trials and more than 8000 participants, alongside valuable personal insights from people with lived experience. They explore evidence that GLP-1 receptor agonists may reduce binge eating-related behaviours, while also considering concerns that these medications could affect eating restraint or body image in a harmful way and why psychological support might be key for their use. This conversation examines the limitations of current evidence and next steps for research at the intersection of metabolic medicines and eating disorders. 404: How Enso Is Removing the Complexity Barrier in DeFi with Guest Speaker Milos Costantini from ENSO

EPISODE DESCRIPTION In this episode, I sit down with Milos, Lead Engineer at Enso, live at Berlin Blockchain Week. We dig into the real problem holding back DeFi builders, complexity. Audits cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, bridges are a nightmare, and integrating protocols is a full-time job on its own. Enso is tackling all of that with a single API that handles routing, security, and DeFi actions across 100-plus protocols, so developers and agents can just build. We also get into the RWA boom, the current state of AI agents in Web3, and why Milos thinks we should never forget where DeFi came from. DISCLAIMERNothing mentioned in this podcast is investment advice and please do your own research. To help us know what to do about increasing youth mental ill health, we need better understandings of what is driving it, but causal factors are hard to pin down. In this episode, Ilaria Costantini and Francesca Solmi talk about their new study that uses a longitudinal twin study to disentangle the genetic and environmental factors in the associations between adolescent body dissatisfaction and later symptoms of eating disorder and depression. What if the key to navigating fertility challenges isn't just in the science — but in the way you're emotionally supported through it?So many people walk into fertility treatment believing the medical steps are the whole picture… yet feel blindsided when the emotional toll hits just as hard (if not harder).Maybe you've felt unheard in appointments, rushed through decisions, or treated like another chart in the queue — and it leaves you questioning your own strength, your hope, and your identity. But what if the missing piece isn't you… it's the lack of empathy, space, and genuine human connection in your care? Today's conversation flips that narrative — and shows you what compassionate, patient-centered fertility medicine can truly look like.BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU'LL DISCOVER:Why empathy isn't a “soft skill” but a clinical essential in reproductive medicineHow listening, storytelling, and emotional validation transform the patient experienceThe real reasons patients burn out (even with financial coverage) — and how to protect your energyWhat it looks like when science and humanity work together to support your fertility journeyWhether you're in the thick of treatment or supporting someone who is, this episode is a powerful reminder that you deserve care that sees all of you — your hope, your grief, your resilience, and your story. How to Connect with Dr. Maria Costantini Ferrando:Visit the RMA Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey website: https://rmanj.comEmail Dr. Maria directly: maria.costantini@rmanj.comSchedule an appointment or learn more about their team and services through the RMA siteCONNECT with Lisa & get IVF COACHING SUPPORT Download IVF Mindset Shift Guide https://ivfmanifestingamiracle.myflodesk.com BOOK a complimentary DISCOVERY CALL BOOK: ‘HOLD ON, BABY!
