Today I'm thrilled to talk about a topic that's particularly close to my heart: the correlation between happiness and travel. Over the past year, I've had the opportunity to travel to SO many places, and through this, I've uncovered some profound insights. In this episode, I'll share what I've learned in hopes that it can inspire and help you on your journey, wherever you are. Travel is more than just a change of scenery; it's a powerful tool for personal growth and happiness. Stepping out of your comfort zone and experiencing new places can provide numerous benefits, including meeting new people, gaining new perspectives, and learning more about yourself and the world. Travel exposes us to a plethora of new experiences, whether it's tasting exotic foods, exploring unique cultures, or trying new activities. These novel experiences activate our brain's reward system, sparking joy and expanding our awareness. From my own travels, I've tried various foods and engaged in different cultural practices, which has made me more empathetic and appreciative of diversity. One of the most significant outcomes of travel is personal growth. I recently heard a quote: "You can't heal in the environment that hurt you," which resonated deeply with me. Travel pushes you out of your comfort zone, allowing you to establish new routines and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. As someone who has recently gone through a separation, travel has been instrumental in my healing and growth journey. It's essential to acknowledge that the ability to travel, especially internationally, comes with a level of privilege. However, travel doesn't have to be extravagant to be meaningful. It could be a short trip to a neighboring city or a brief getaway. The critical thing is to break the monotony of daily life and experience something new. Travel, in any form, can significantly enhance your happiness and quality of life. It offers unique opportunities for personal growth, broadens your perspective, and allows you to form connections that you otherwise wouldn't have. As someone who has traveled extensively, I can attest to its profound impact on my happiness and overall well-being. Are you team audio or video? Or if you're like me, you're team ‘both'! There is so much value in using audio and video in your content creation process. But how can you leverage the audio portion and create a lasting, memorable and meaningful experience for your community? In this episode, part 2 of four of my series with Kim, we're talking about the use of both video and audio in private podcasting, and highlighting how the two mediums can complement each other rather than compete. We also cover how podcasts can be a supplement to other forms of content and how they can add value. We deep dive into how private podcasting can be used effectively in coaching or educational settings, providing personalized sessions even for clients that can't meet in person. Private podcasts can also be used to provide an elevated experience for clients looking for exclusive content, like those in niche markets or specific events. Additionally, we discuss the different types of feeds that can be created, from group coaching programs to niche-specific content like daily meditations and food tutorials. We also emphasize how crucial it is to make content easily accessible to busy people, with options for private feeds increasing completion rates and keeping listeners engaged with the content. You know how we have those moments that shift and change our lives forever? I can count on one hand how many key, transformative moments I've had that have been game-changing for me. What can you do when you're feeling uninspired? This is a theme and feeling a lot of people have experienced over the last few years, myself included. It's not that we're being ungrateful for what we have and all we've accomplished, it's more that we get so into our day to day routines, that most things become mundane and step and repeat. So, how do we honor and shift this energy? That's what we're talking about today. We get into: [4:40] Where uninspired feelings come from [6:35] Why you're allowed and it's okay to feel uninspired [8:00] 3 ways to shift your energy when you're feeling uninspired [11:15] Honoring your emotions right here, right now Want to chat about launching or growing your podcast? Let's talk about how your life changes when you access the power of visualization. Over the last two years, many people have started to notice that the life they were living didn't feel purposeful, fulfilling, or infused with passion. In fact, it's easy to think that those feelings don't actually exist – that they're unattainable. There is so much power in understanding and learning where your thoughts and beliefs about yourself come from, and how to leverage visualization to have a more fulfilling life. In this episode, we're understanding the science and emotion that goes into wanting a more purposeful and passionate life, and uncovering what you need in order to bring your vision to life. We get into: What we're really searching for when it comes to finding our passion and purpose How to step outside your day to day routine and tap into what makes you feel excited and joyful Understanding what visualization is and where it comes from Tips for visualization, even if you aren't used to visualizing Why our minds are programmed to see the negatives first Want to chat about launching or growing your podcast? How can we build better relationships? Between busy lives, careers, businesses, families, commitments and so much more, our relationships often get put on the backburner unintentionally. We are talking all about relationships in today's episode. I love this topic because I feel like we can all benefit so much from having such loving, supportive, and fulfilling relationships. The truth of the matter is we don't always find ourselves in those types of relationships, whether it be friendships or romantic relationships, siblings, parents, you name it. So I wanted to shed some light on what can help you build better relationships - regardless of what kind. We get into: How relationships impact our joy, fulfillment and happiness What I've learned about building a solid foundation through my 8-year relationship Tips to developing ourselves separately and as part of a relationship My three pillars for happy, loving and supportive relationships Why we get breakdowns in communication Mentioned in the show: Episode 61: Relationship Q&A with Steve Want to chat about launching or growing your podcast? I'm so excited to be on the podcast with you this week for the very, very first episode of 2022! I can hardly believe that we're already here, and that we're in a completely new year. Time just continues to fly by and it blows my mind. This week, we're talking about why setting intentions are more effective than setting goals. It might feel a little bit controversial, and it's definitely an unpopular opinion. But I wanted to bring it to light anyways, because January is the start of new beginnings for a lot of us. It's the time where we set our new goals, new workout programs, new eating regimens, but one thing that I think we often forget is what our intentions are for the new year. We're so quick to set goals and we're so quick to set milestones, but what are the intentions and the feelings that we want to bring into this new year? We get into: Why goals can be too structured for spiritual entrepreneurs How to differentiate between goals and “to dos” Setting intentions that support your goals Why goals are deeper than hitting a target My intentions for 2022 Want to chat about launching or growing your podcast? I can't believe 2021 is coming to an end! It feels like it has come and go so quickly. This week, I wanted to talk about three things that I've learned in my first year of business, and what's happening in 2022. It blows my mind to see all of the transformations that have happened through my journey. But also my clients, my friends, my community, my loved ones, my family, my husband -- everyone. I'm so grateful for all that's happened, the good and the bad (and trust me, there have been a lot of ups and a lot of downs). I started this year off by leaving my corporate job and I'm ending the year by rolling into a six-figure year in my first year of full-time business. Whether you're an entrepreneur or not, today's tips can be very helpful as you're navigating your career, job, relationships, family, and everything in between. I talk about: How self-trust can make or break you Why anticipating change will help you succeed Why it's important to trust your intuition when it comes to clients, and when to know that it's time to break up Prioritizing your own health and business growth Remembering that you have the answer you need within you Want to chat about launching or growing your podcast? I have been on a spiritual journey for the last three years, give or take. I wanted to share some things about spirituality and tapping into your own spirit team that I've learned along the way. I've shied away from having this conversation in the past because there are so many people out there that have so many different opinions about spirituality, about how to be spiritual, about the things that “qualify” you as a spiritual person. And it actually can be very intimidating for people to tap into this part of themselves because there's so much fear and judgment around learning more about your spirituality. So today, we're changing the narrative and giving you the permission to get to know yourself on a soul level. Believer or non-believer, I guarantee you will take something away from this episode. I dive into: Opening yourself up to receive messages from spirit The gifts you receive by getting in tune with yourself How to ask, look for, and receive signs from the universe Uncommon tips to get quiet and listen to messages your spirit team has for you Why validation from other people is not the answer Want to chat about launching or growing your podcast? I'm really excited about today's episode because we are diving into something really, really juicy, and we're talking all about what to do when you don't feel like you're good enough. I know that we have all been in this place at one point or another in our lives, and I think it's really important to shed light on this conversation, especially with the holidays around the corner. What do we do with our feelings when we're not feeling good enough? That's what we're answering in this week's conversation! I dive into: How this conversation was triggered by me not feeling good enough about my podcast Why you're not alone in how you feel 5 tips to transform your mindset around not feeling good enough Why “better” doesn't actually exist Why looking for validation outside yourself doesn't help Why you need to feel and honour all of your emotions in order to transform them Want to chat about launching or growing your podcast? Well friends, we've made it to my 30th birthday! When I started my podcast, it was at the start of my Saturn return when I was 27 -- and I can't even believe where I am today. It blows my mind to think about how much can transform and change in your life when you tap into your soulful self and let yourself go on a journey to self discovery. I've learned so many things up until this point, and I've summarized all five of them in this week's episode. It's the things I wish I knew when I was younger, but also the things I'm so grateful to have learned along the way. That's the point, right? To take what we've learned and share it with those around us! I dive into: How quickly things can change in three years Why it's important to LOVE your birthday Why it's okay to let friendships go What boundaries can bring into your life How developing real self love can transform your life Why you should let yourself feel and experience every emotion Want to chat about launching or growing your podcast? Let's think about this: you're feeling great, life is going “according to plan”, and nothing can shake your mood -- then you're hit with the darkest emotions you've ever felt out of nowhere, and everything comes crashing down around you. Now it may sound dramatic, but this is exactly how I felt into 2021 and it took me months to rebuild from the dark place I was in. Of course, I learned a lot along the way, which is why I'm sharing it with you in this week's podcast episode. I dive into: How to deal with mental health challenges when you've never experienced mental health challenges Why it's not effective to mask our struggles with more work and being busy Why you need to ask for help before you're in a dark place My four tips to rebuilding from a breaking point How anxiety and people pleasing go hand in hand Want to chat about launching or growing your podcast? This week's podcast episode is a solo episode with me, your host, Simona! I've learned a LOT over the last year and have faced so many inner challenges that I've had to continuously bring to the surface and move through so I could really heal and step into the next phase of my life. I learned this year that I have serious control issues and that's here my fear of letting go comes from. I hate making mistakes and I let this fear control and take over my life in so many areas. I hit burnout, hard. And then the sadness and darkness set in so quickly, I couldn't even catch it. While I'm in a much better headspace now, I wanted to do an episode about how to find security within ourselves, especially when everything externally feels chaotic and out of control. I dive into: How burnout and stress creeps into the body Why internal security helps you make sound business decisions Why hiring on my team was really hard for me and how I moved through it My 3 tips to help you find lasting security within yourself How I practice self care (it's not the cookie cutter answer you're expecting!) This week's solo episode is short and sweet, and we are talking all of things emotions in business and taking space. I wanted to touch on this topic because I think that there's so much in the collective energy, in entrepreneurship, in being a business owner that it feels like you constantly have to have the answers. You always have to be go, go, go, and you always have to know exactly what the right thing to do is at all times. In some sense, yes, it's really important. Especially as you're running a business, or if you have a team. But what happens when you don't feel like you can hold that space, or what happens when you don't feel like you can show up the way that you want to every single day? This is what we talk about today: - Taking space when you need it - How to honour the season you're in - Why you shouldn't try and change your emotions - How to process what you're going through Want to chat about launching or growing your podcast?
