Rommel was increasingly critical of Hitler's flawed personality and his callousness regarding troop lives, ultimately dying because he was a respected military professional who commanded the loyalty of the Wehrmacht. Patton repeatedly displayed abusive behavior toward subordinates, physically and verbally, dating back to WWI. While this behavior was problematic, it was also integral to his impetuous, risk-taking style that made him a great armored commander. Montgomery earned the lasting respect of his peers, despite interpersonal conflicts, exemplified by Omar Bradley's simple note, "thanks," left on his grave. Retry

Last month, the mortgage industry panicked when OSFI announced new rules that seemed to ban using personal income to qualify for investment property mortgages, but the interpretation was completely wrong. The actual change is about how banks classify risk and capital requirements for investor mortgages, not underwriting rules, meaning you can still use your income to qualify. What most people missed is that OSFI delayed implementing these rules for three years since 2022, which allowed banks to continue writing investor mortgages with minimal restrictions during a critical market period. When the new capital requirements finally kick in during Q2 2026, investor mortgages will likely cost more and become harder to qualify for, while first-time homebuyers may actually benefit from better terms.Retry

Starship and Super Heavy: The Fully Reusable Mars Vehicle. Eric Berger details the development of Starship and Super Heavy at Starbase in Boca Chica, Texas. Starship is the culmination of SpaceX's efforts: a fully reusable, super heavy rocket much larger than the Saturn 5, designed to carry humans into deep space and enable the Mars colony. A critical innovation for rapid reuse is the "chopstick" system, which catches both the Super Heavy booster and the Starship second stage, saving time and mass. The long-term plan involves using a fleet of Starships, refueled in low Earth orbit, to transport a million tons of cargo to Mars during biannual transfer windows. Guest: Eric Berger. Retry

Craig Unger describes his 2014 visit to Iran's "Den of Spies" embassy museum, where he interviewed Moshen Rafi Duce, Iran's arms procurement head, who seemingly made an accidental admission about meeting "the Republicans." Former Iranian president Abolhassan Banisadr confirmed the October Surprise was a double coup d'état, destabilizing both the US and moderate Iranian elements. The timing of the hostage release confirms a prior deal: they were freed only three minutes after Ronald Reagan took the oath of office on January 20, 1981. This event, Unger concludes, fits a pattern of Republican reliance on adversarial nations to intervene in US elections. Guest: Craig Unger. Retry

The core event is the siege of Jerusalem in 69 to 70 AD, when Titus, the son of Vespasian, was charged with defeating the city after his father departed to become emperor. Jerusalem was the religious center and a formidable fortress, impregnable on three sides, yet possessed a critical weakness: its northern wall. The court-martial ran from February 2 to March 31 and initially concluded that Mackenzie was honorably acquitted and heroic. However, President Tyler intervened, refusing to endorse the verdict and believing Mackenzie should have been hanged as a murderer. What do you do when a show quietly erases its own first season? We dig into Demon Lord Retry and make the case for a rare watch order: skip straight to season two. From the opening minutes, we break down why the “continuation” acts like a do-over—restoring character arcs, tightening the lore, and reframing the central conflict around control, authorship, and identity. We unpack Akira's reveal as the creator inhabiting his avatar, Hakuto Kunai, and why the amulet twist matters: power literally changes hands mid-battle, turning every fight into a moral pivot. Zero's origin as a dragonborn hero designed by Akira's younger self transforms a flashy alter into commentary on ego, youth, and the cost of absolute certainty. Luna finally gets her due with a fully earned backstory—her bond with Eagle, the weight of demi-human prejudice, and a fifth-tier spell that reads as character payoff rather than spectacle. Around them, church politics, slavery rings, and a vampire rematch expand the world without the filler haze that clouded season one.We also look at the “tech as magic” economy: wells that never run dry, rare goods that fund an oasis, and a second boss phase that drags enemies into a game-arena where design is destiny. It's still a mid-tier ride—an honest 6.5—with pacing taxed by the need to fix what came before, but the ideas finally land. If you've bounced off the series or wondered where to start, this guide lays out the cleanest path, the key upgrades, and the moments that actually hit.Enjoy the breakdown? However, no summary opinion was reached. The unique records of this inquiry were found not in the British archives but in the clerk's private papers, donated in 1893. Federal courts have found a man's videotaped confession in the 1984 death of an Ada convenience store clerk to be almost entirely false but the state of Oklahoma is still fighting in court over whether it can be used against him in a new trial. The confession is one of the few remaining pieces of evidence the state has against Karl Fontenot in the abduction and killing of Donna Denise Haraway. Fontenot, 60, and Tommy Ward, 64, were twice-convicted of the kidnapping and murder of Haraway, who went missing from McAnally's convenience store in Ada on April 28, 1984. The two men were arrested for the crime in months later after both allegedly confessed to investigators that they had kidnapped, raped and murdered Haraway. The case was the subject of the 2006 John Grisham book and a popular 2018 Netflix documentary The Innocent Man.In their Dec. 20, 2024 briefing to the state appeals court, Fontenot's attorneys pointed out that more than two and a half years have passed since the state's attempt to have the federal appeals court's decision overturned was denied, opening the door to refiling charges against Fontenot.“Now, 926 days later, the State has not retried Mr. Fontenot, or set a trial date for Mr. Fontenot, or uncovered any new evidence that implicates Mr. Fontenot in the abduction of Denise Haraway,” the brief states. “In fact, the State of Oklahoma has stipulated to the absence of any new evidence on February 23, 2024, and admitted that the loss of evidence admitted at the previous trial, and the unavailability of many witnesses has compromised both side's ability to move forward with the case.”Today on the podcast we're joined by Frontier reporter Clifton Adcock, to update us on the cases against Fontenot and Ward. This is Listen Frontier, a podcast exploring the investigative journalism of the Frontier and featuring conversations with those on the frontlines of Oklahoma's most important stories. God extends His love and mercy to all of us -- no matter the mistakes we've made. And when it comes to abortion, He wants to offer grace and forgiveness so there can be a fresh start. As Christians, may we pray for our leaders and the decisions they make on behalf of the unborn.

If mistakes were made in the past that resulted in an abortion, God's love and mercy are extended so that forgiveness may be received and there can be a fresh start.
