Alpha Centauri Kid (ACK) is a multi-disciplinary artist known for his signature minimalistic glitch art that has taken the crypto community by storm.  He entered the space in 2021 and has one of the most esteemed collector bases, including Punk 6529, VVD, Anonymoux, and many more. A humble servant of The Muse, ACK obeys her will at all costs. His main purpose is to make you feel something (often pain) while experiencing his art. He achieves this through the clever use of tools available to web3 creators and does it with a swagger unique only to him. From faking his death on the blockchain to the most elaborate color study that captivated the entire art market for a month. You never quite know what he'll do next. ACK  has cemented his spot in blockchain history and, in my opinion, will be named one of the greatest artists of our time, and today, you get to hear his story. We cover everything from his first minted (NFT) Elon Musk meme to his experience debuting The Muse silkscreen prints at Christie's. We also chat through scene creation, the challenges of incorporating music into his art, and his legendary performance piece, "The Great Color Study." Next, we chat about his entry into the NFT space, and he gets a LITTLE fired up about his and Chelsea's genesis piece on Foundation that, according to Deeze, is “aging like fine wine.”After we get fired up, a tangent brought us to the topic of artists having more of a say in defining the artists of our generation, the frustration with collectors spending exorbitant amounts of eth on underdeveloped art while good artists are going unnoticed. This tied in perfectly with the toxic positivity in the space and the WAGMI vibes and how those who consistently show up and contribute will be the ones who make it.We finish off the conversation with my predictions for the next bull run, culture clashes between the collectible and art community, and the rise of art sales, even in a bear. This is a very non-linear conversation but jam-packed with value for every type of participant in the web3 ecosystem.Enjoy

Growing up in a household with an incredibly analytical father and a talented artist for a mother, she got the best of both worlds. During her time in politics, she found a natural path to making collage art on a random phone app that doesn't exist anymore. Her friend approached her to do an album cover for a music festival, and that was her first experience with making money off her creation. One thing we share in common is that when we feel something, we double down, and that's exactly what she did. For the rest of the interview, we go over many different areas in depth. From Instagram web2 to decentralized protocols in web3, she goes through the entire process from the "aha" moment we all have to going all in and fostering her community. We chatted about IP law, copyright, trademarks, what that currently means, and how it currently applies to web3. Towards the end, we chat through the challenges of onboarding, why gen-z has severe distrust within the government, and how we need to practice and share the principles of web3, especially driving home the narrative of self-custody and what that really means. There are so many other fun rabbit holes that we plunge into the deep end on, and I can't wait for you to get lost in it all!Copyright article referenced: https://www.theverge.com/23139793/nft-crypto-copyright-ownership-primer-cornell-ic3Boonafide Socials:Twitter: https://twitter.com/BoonaETHPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/BoonafidexpWebsite: https://www.boonafide.comPostwook links:Linktree: https://linktr.ee/postwookSuperRare: https://superrare.com/postwookWebsite: https://hello69676.wixsite.com/postwook/portfolio-landingSupport the show

If you notice her work, she combines her favorite lyrics of a song that inspired the photo, something unique that I hadn't seen before.Traditionally, the Ph.D. path is a professor, however, Alex is in one of the unique positions to explore a different path with her studies, one that allows her to combine her love of photography with her love of physiology. We really go all over the place, in what Alex likes to call her ADHD tangents. I am so excited for you to hear this one :)Alex's work:Linktree: https://linktr.ee/AlexmackenzieTwitter: https://twitter.com/alexmack__Support the show

John was one of the first people I looked up to in web3, as he had (and still does) this ridiculously contagious energy that radiated (and still does) far and wide. We start from the beginning of his childhood in what he describes as his comfort of chaos.  Before being a photographer full-time, he worked at a car dealership, which is where he truly found his love for photography, his exit to becoming a full-time artist is one for the books! We then dive into his thought process, motivation, and determination to succeed, at any cost, and a detailed description of what that actually looked like for him. We then journey into him discovering the web3 space, and the role he played in creating a movement of photography being valued in the NFT space. Some special moments are the ones he shared around the difficult discussions he and Cath Simard had when it came to breaking out, and their wild journey ever since. Our discussion on how he prices his work is something unique that I never heard before and is one that many will replay over and over for years to come. This episode is a must not miss. His primary web3 services are for the Doodles community, bridging the digital ownership of web3 to the physical realityWe chat about his upbringing, his journey into being an entrepreneur, all the way to the present, and his web3 experience. What are you waiting for... Y'all... We freakin did it, what a season this was!! When I take a moment to reflect back on the year that we all had, I am honestly in shock and awe. This video contains my favorite and valuable moments of 2021.I had the pleasure of interviewing some of the dopest people creating the coolest shit, and I cannot thank you enough for your support, I hope you've gained value from at least one episode.Words do not describe the connection I have with this community, and with each individual person, I interviewed. Never did I think I could find a community as vibrant as web3, but here we are.  I'm sure I can think of more words later, but right now, posting this is incredibly emotional.Thank you all again for an amazing Season, and just you wait.... The plans I have for season 3 will have your jaw on the floor.gm, and WAGMISupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/Boonafidexp)

This will be a different flavor of the podcast, as traditionally we have chatted to artists, fund managers, this week, I interview the co-founder of a working web3 game built on top of Solana called Mini Royale: Nations. This isn't Alex's first crack at making games, in fact, he's been doing it his whole life, check out his LinkedIn. Alex's philosophy is simple, build a FUN game, and add an open economy on top of it. The current issue with web3 games is that they focus so much energy on economics, tokens, and financial incentives. If you don't have a fun game, none of the web3 innovations really matter. We chat about the previous games that he and his partner have developed, the current state of web3, and the atrocious launch video that Ubisoft announced. The last half of the episode, we chat all about his new title that is currently available to play right now. Links:Game: miniroyale.ioTwitter: https://twitter.com/apaley13 Boonafide Socials:Website: https://www.boonafide.comTwitter: https://twitter.com/boonaethSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/Boonafidexp)
