What Kṛṣṇa is saying is that if you find your sincerity and you offer it to Kṛṣṇa, and you say, "Kṛṣṇa, I'm Yours, and I will surrender to You and only depend upon You," then Kṛṣṇa is already there, as Gajendra, I mentioned, said, "He's there waiting." It's not that He becomes bored; He's always interested in us. He's always aware of us, and what He's mostly aware of, as we found out in this verse today, is our motive. That's the most secret thing within the heart. In the Bhagavad-gītā, Kṛṣṇa says, rāja-vidyā rāja-guhyaṁ—it's secret. Why is it secret? Because someone may read it and think, "I'll make a new commentarian, then I'll become Kṛṣṇa." Or, "Who is this person?" Prabhupāda mentions. Some people say, "How audacious of Him to say, 'Surrender to Me.'" And there are scholars who are expert in dissecting the verses, but they have no intention of surrendering to Kṛṣṇa. Therefore, when they write about Kṛṣṇa or they give commentary on the Bhagavad-gītā, their commentaries are meaningless, what to speak of misleading. So the relationship we have with Kṛṣṇa can be immediately realized when we find in ourselves our motive, and even if it's very difficult to bring forth, if we find even a scintilla—is that's small enough. Scintilla? I don't know if a scintilla is smaller than a molecule, but there are different types of terms. One is about a specific element or entity. Scintilla means something very tiny—if we can find that, that's what's important. So this verse is a reminder that if we all were able to find that sincerity and offer to Kṛṣṇa and come what may offer ourselves in service—tat te 'nukampāṁ su-samīkṣamāṇo, knowing that "I'm in Kṛṣṇa's hands, whatever happens because I'm a surrendered soul to Kṛṣṇa, everything that happens to me is for my purification." When we're facing externally, we've turned away, and we don't realize our relationship. But when we do turn towards Kṛṣṇa, we become insiders, that means we're inside Kṛṣṇa. We're inside the family again. In Gajendra's prayers, Gajendra remarks that, "My Lord, You're never inattentive to me. It's not that when I pray, then that's when You pay attention." He said, "You're always paying attention." In fact, we're intimately connected with Kṛṣṇa, and we're never intimately connected with the material world. 'Asango hi dhyayam puruṣaḥ,' means we never really have a connection here. So, when we come to devotional service by choice, Gajendra says, then You're immediately responsive, because You're already just waiting. In 1.2.17 of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, 'svakītaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ puṇya-śravaṇa-kīrtanaḥ', the Prabhupāda writes in the purport that Kṛṣṇa wants us to come back to Godhead more than we can desire. He said, "Practically nobody wants to go back to Godhead, but Kṛṣṇa wants everybody to go back to Godhead and be insiders." So that's in this verse, samo 'haṁ sarva-bhūteṣu, na me dveṣyo 'sti na priyaḥ—that half of the verse refers to those who are externally focused, and for them, Kṛṣṇa is dutifully sending the checks. He doesn't even put His name on it. It's like some payment, an alimony payment, or something, whatever it is, but the person doesn't want to disturb the other person's mind, so they don't even put the name on it. They just make a direct deposit so that, "Okay, you don't want to...you don't want to know me anymore, so I'll still pay, but I'll just keep it anonymous." You don't even know where the payments are coming from. People don't even realize God's paying them all the time. He's kindly providing, as Prabhupāda said, for every living being, He is giving all their necessities and more, but everyone just thinks Eh.. there is no God. It's like one fish said to the other, "Do you believe in water?" And he goes, "Nah! I've never seen any water. I don't know what they're talking about." But we're enveloped by God's love all the time. He's providing. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Regarding pointing our attention, in the Bhagavad-gītā, Kṛṣṇa talks about how when we contemplate the objects of the senses, we enter into a downward spiral. That is, we become attached to them and then we become bewildered because of it. So, we can also contemplate the holy name as we're chanting. There are many things said about the holy name and also about Kṛṣṇa, and Kṛṣṇa's holy names are non-different. So even if we don't understand exactly who Kṛṣṇa is, who does, Gajendra says, nobody can actually understand who He is. We can contemplate it, and by contemplating the Holy Name, which means to actually consider it, just think about it—what is this name—and try to hear the sound and the mystery of the sound, try to understand it. Then we go in an upward spiral, unlike contemplating the objects of the senses. And ultimately, Prabhupāda says, if there's a sense of love, then the awareness and the concentration on the holy name is steady. Because naturally, when we love somebody, then... “For us, it's not AWANA, it's ‘Can we disciple one more child?'” Gajendra Tamang is the Regional Director of AWANA in South Asia, coming alongside pastors and local churches to help reach and disciple children from many different religious backgrounds. Gajendra knows first-hand how a life can be changed through a simple invitation to a Christian activity. He came to faith while attending college in India, where a Christian classmate invited Gajendra to come to church with him every Sunday for a year. Finally Gajendra decided to see why his classmate loved going to church. He didn't understand everything being said, but he loved the music, and a few months later he came to know Jesus as Savior and Lord. As seminary students Gajendra and his wife were recruited to serve as AWANA volunteers. They continued serving in AWANA throughout their seminary training. After graduation the couple became AWANA missionaries, and today they are tasked with training volunteer leaders to help serve in local churches in India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. In most AWANA groups in South Asia, 20 to 25% of the children come from non-Christian homes, including Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists. Some parents restrict their children from coming after they learn that Bible stories are being shared, while others accept the care and blessing their child receives even though it is coming from Christians. Gajendra will help us understand and pray for the training process to equip more leaders and ultimately to tell more children about Jesus. Listen for the story of an entire family coming to Christ through one child's prayer for healing and learn how you can pray for the salvation of the next generation—and their parents—in South Asia. Pray for more AWANA leaders willing to be disciple makers on the front lines and for believers and local churches facing persecution for their faith in Christ. Never miss an episode of VOM Radio! One subscriber of ours sent us a question: “I know generally we don't pray for material benefits but in Srimad Bhagavatam we find prayers such as the Narayana kavacha and Gajendra prayers. Can one read these prayers during times of distress and does one factually get the benefit of these prayers by simply reading them as stated and can these benefits be gained if simply read in English?” First of all, Srimad Bhagavatam is Amala Purana and one of our most important core literatures of all time, and you should not have any second thoughts or doubts about reading or reciting any prayers from it. What if some of the prayers address material things? Do we pray for material stuff? And if we do, then what happens? Are we not supposed to “generally” do that or there is no point because it won't work? Is it shameful or forbidden to pray for material things or is it that things may get even worse if we do pray? Cause I've heard even that one before! I've seen devotees being afraid to pray... Read full article here: sravanamdiaries.com/do-we-ever-pray-to-the-lord-for-material-benefits/

What is the ultimate and authentic consummation each and every one of us must strive for? Bhagawan reminds us, recounting Mother Easwaramma's last moments on this auspicious Easwaramma Day. Easwaramma finished her bath; she drank her coffee as usual quite happily and took her seat on the inner verandah. All of a sudden, she cried out. "Swami Swami, Swami,'" thrice. At this, I responded: "Coming, Coming." Within that period she breathed her last. What greater sign of goodness is needed? She had no need to be served and nursed. Swami will come to the memory at that time only for a very few. The mind will usually seek and stay on some object or the other, some jewellery or valuables. From the ground floor, she called: "Swami! Swami!" I replied, "Coming, Coming," and she was gone. It was like the elephant Gajendra's calling and the Lord proceeding to bless it - the two wires achieving connection, the release happening instantaneously! This is the authentic consummation that life must strive for. It is the sign of an ideal, adorable life. Such an attitude must emerge of its own accord and not by means of some external force. - Divine Discourse, May 06, 1983. The mother bears, fosters and moulds the child into humanness and therefore, gratitude is due to her first and foremost. - BABA

Gajendra daasar was called as Thirukkachi nambigal. He was well known for his aalavattam kainkaryam (fanning service) and pushpa kainkaryam to kanchi perumal. His modesty and steadfast devotion made Dheva perumal and Perundevi thaayar to choose him as their messenger to convey great messages to their devotees. He thus received a rare boon of conversing with perumal and thaayar.

My one advice to every young person would be "Start investing as early as possible to understand the power of compounding". 99% of the people on earth can't fathom the true power of compounding. Everyone has heard and knows the formula but few people truly understand the depth of this calculation. No wonder Albert Einstein says, "Compound Interest is the greatest mathematical discovery ever made." Gajendra Kothari, the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Etica Wealth Private Limited, is a financial whiz who proudly calls himself ‘the real one idiot' as a tribute to the lovable character from IDFC's popular 2012 short film One Idiot. The message in the film resonated with Kothari, who then applied those investment principles and found remarkable success. In this episode of The Moneywise Podcast, Mr. Kothari shares his journey from novice to wealth creator and his best financial advice for investors. They have been composed in the 3rd speed, and generally have a pallavi and a few Charanams. The charanams are generally rendered once as swaras and the second time as lyrics. Some swarajatis also have an anupallavi incorporated in them. Many swarajatis like the sublimely devotional ratna-trayam of Shyama Shastri are concert worthy.

This is the story about the elephant named Gajendra who calls for help from Vishnu when his leg is caught by a crocodile.
A song by Gajendra Verma is recorded..
In this episode we cover the beutiful story of Gajendra. A rather innocent and true devotee of Lord Vishnu, who by destiny had to lead the life of an elephant and was ultimately revived by his Lord. The story teaches us how one's duty is important, and ultimately, how true devotion can uplift any individual.
A devout elephant gets caught in a pond. His power is of no use to save himself. Who can save the poor elephant? Moral : God never lets down his devotees who unconditionally surrender to him. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/pesumkadhai/message
