Baate tumhari hamari - Poem By Harshit Kothari Baatein Tumhari Hamari" is a melancholic poem that unveils the pain of a boy who trusted too much and loved too deeply, only to have his heart played with. It captures the deceptive sweetness of words, the false promises, and the emotional turmoil of being led on. The poem paints a picture of betrayal, where affectionate conversations turn into painful memories, leaving the boy questioning what was real and what was just a game. With raw emotions and poignant verses, it speaks to anyone who has ever felt used, deceived, and left in the ruins of false love.
Tushar was the CEO of Attivo Networks for a decade before selling to SentinelOne for $600 million dollars in 2022. Attivo Networks built deception technology which would trick attackers into attacking fake infrastructure. A common form of deception is a honeypot, which is an intentionally vulnerable server so defenders can gather information about attackers such as their IP address or attack techniques. Attivo provided comprehensive deception solutions and served five of the Fortune 10. In the episode we talk about Tushar's learnings from a decade at Cisco, the unique origin story of Attivo and its founders, and the sale process to SentinelOne.

Dr. Ajay Kothari returned as our guest. We started out with my asking Ajay about the lasted FAA-SpaceX tension and the fact that it seemed like one part of the government, NASA, was in opposition to other parts of the government, FAA, re SpaceX and Musk. Don't miss how Ajay responded to this question. Next, we turned our attention to his repurposing nuclear propulsion for power on the Moon, in cislunar and for going to Mars project. He talked about using thorium and then U233. He explained the project which was also depicted in his PPT on our blog. He fielded many email questions plus he talked with several callers. When is it safe to have surgery after COVID? Listen as Associate Editor Dr. Jason Carter (Baylor University) interviews lead author Dr. Anai Kothari (Medical College of Wisconsin) and leading expert Dr. Michael Joyner (Mayo Clinic) about the groundbreaking new research study by SenthilKumar et al. that evaluated how pre-operative COVID infection might affect a patient's risk of post-operative major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACE) by analyzing data from 457,804 patients within the National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C) Data Enclave. In fact, it was a surgical operation in October 2020 that inspired Dr. Kothari and collaborators to consider how the stress of surgery combined with the potential end-organ changes that happen with prior COVID infection would impact surgical outcomes. If patients had a prior history of COVID followed by a subsequent non-emergency surgery, the authors found a 12% increase in overall risk of having a major adverse cardiovascular or cerebrovascular event after surgery. The authors found that most patients had surgery more than 8 weeks after COVID infection. However, if patients had surgery in the first 4 weeks after COVID infection, there was a slight increase in the number of post-surgical MACE. Disease severity had a major impact on post-surgical incidence of MACE. In contrast, vaccination against COVID decreased the risk of MACE without increasing the risk of any post-operative negative outcomes that the group assessed. Listen as these experts discuss surgical timing and the role of COVID vaccines to not only reduce risk of post-surgical MACE for patients but also to protect immunocompromised individuals in the greater population. Exploitative elites are everywhere—so is resistanceThe Global North vs Global South divide fails to capture the reality of power dynamics as national elites extract from their own citizens—often in the name of development. Capitalism funnels wealth to the top in every country, facilitated by a globalised system built on economic growth. But around the world, people are organising to resist these structures, to reclaim their land and their labour in order to benefit their communities. They are modelling alternative ways of being together; they are weaving together possibility.Ashish Kothari is an environmentalist who has been working at the intersection of environment, biodiversity and development for decades. He's the founder of Kalpavriksh, an Indian non profit organisation working on environmental and social issues at local, national and global levels. He also organises both the Confluence of Alternatives and the Global Tapestry of Alternatives, projects which bring together people all around India and the world to imagine and strategise alternative ways of being, politics, economies and systems. We discuss the history of colonialism, the global obsession with economic growth, development as neo-colonialism, global and national inequality, patriarchy and the reality of elite exploitation across all nations. Ashish then goes on to introduce the people's movements springing up around India, turning imagination into possibility as viable models are trialled which re-embed communities in their land and heal their relationship with the earth.“What we need are systems across the country, across the globe, of this kind of political and economic localisation where people are able to take control over their ecosystems, their actual resources, their knowledge, their technologies, and also invite knowledge and technologies from outside if they think that what they have is not enough—but in on their own terms. Not being dominated from outside, so the political decision making and the economic decision making is at that local level. It is not with private corporations, nor is it even with the nation state.“That is what we call radical ecological democracy, or, here in India, we call it eco-swaraj.”© Rachel Donald Get full access to Planet: Critical at www.planetcritical.com/subscribe

https://youtu.be/pndcLsefBLI Amit Kothari is the CEO of Tallyfy, a technology platform that helps business owners document and automate processes without being technical or process savvy. We talk about process improvement in small businesses, what it means to have a scalable business, and the drawbacks of using flowcharts when documenting business processes. --- Define Workflow Your Grandma Can Use with Amit Kothari Our guest is Amit Kothari, the CEO of Tallyfy, a technology platform that enables everyone to document and automate processes without being technical or process savvy. I'm particularly excited to have you here, Amit, today because I, you know, I and Greg wrote about you in our new book, Pinnacle, and we are, you know, one of my clients, one of our joint-client, is using your system as well. So, without further ado, welcome to the show. It's an absolute pleasure to be here, Steve. Thank you for having me. So, let's talk about your journey a little bit. So how do you become a tech startup entrepreneur? What's been your journey that led you to this point? Well, I think, like most entrepreneurs, I think you just sort of feel the itch of a pain and you feel it so much. And perhaps the present moment frustrates you so much that you just decide to do something about it. In my case, 20 years ago, I graduated from with a computer science degree from the University of Bath in England, spent a decade doing consulting work, improving projects, helping companies to map processes and so forth. And I felt like I was wasting my life because one day I looked into a mirror and said, well, do I want to do what I'm about to do today? And the answer was no, practically every day for the next few weeks. And I knew I had to change something essentially. And what we did didn't really deliver any value for customers either. So, the root of this idea was just simply that you can document any kind of process you want as many times as you want, as wonderfully as you want. Who cares if no one looks at it? And with consultants at that time, you know, you got paid to come into a company, document their processes, make them look pretty, so basically just write down what they said to you and then leave and you get paid for it. And I was thinking, well, we're not here to see any kind of outcome, we're not here to even implement the change, so what's the point of us doing this? They could have just done this themselves. And so, it just felt like a sham. So, creating a simpler way to just for anyone to map a process. And then secondly, for them to run it rather than simply read it. That was the genesis of this entire company, which is now six years old. And so, I didn't know much about being an entrepreneur to that subject. It was just, I guess I'd read things like everyone else does, but it was just on the bigger company side of things, like how companies change, how they evolve. And so... Okay, so that's interesting. So that make you strike out on your own and create your own solutions. So how is your own solution, how is Stellify changing the business of defining processes? What are you guys doing differently? The first thing I didn't want to do is have flowcharts in our system because there's many problems with flowcharts, we can go into later, but it just felt like you needed a process expert to be able to create a process map for you. And actually, I was paid to come in and just make process maps for people. So, it needed to be used by, to use a better phrase, the average grandmother. Can my grandmother use this? If she cannot use this, then we're in trouble, right? Clearly, it's too complex. So that was one thing that had to be different, no flowcharts. And instead of that, we created a checklist type of UI, because everyone in our research understands what a checklist is. It's just a set of steps. That's all. Along with that, we love this idea of if this, then something. So, we realized that if we could codify statements like that as ...
