Ray Crowley Interviews Craig Nicol, CEO of Graphene Manufacturing Group In this episode of Investment Research Radio, Ray sits down with Craig Nicol, Founder, CEO and Managing Director of Graphene Manufacturing Group Ltd. (TSXV: GMG) (OTC: GMGMF) (Frankfurt: 0GF), to discuss the evolution of GMG from a graphene producer into a vertically integrated advanced materials and energy technology company. The conversation explores five interconnected assets and potential revenue streams built around GMG's proprietary graphene platform: 1. Graphene Raw Material Craig explains GMG's proprietary graphene manufacturing technology and the recent commissioning of its Gen 2.0 production plant, designed to produce up to 10 tonnes of graphene annually once fully optimized. The in-house production capability gives GMG control over material quality, supply and cost while providing the foundation for its downstream products. 2. With US EPA approval, North American distribution through Nu-Calgon and record June 2026 sales orders exceeding A$400,000, this represents GMG's most immediate commercial revenue opportunity. 3. G® LUBRICANT Ray and Craig discuss GMG's graphene lubricant additive, designed to reduce friction, fuel consumption and emissions in engines and other industrial applications. GMG has reported independently verified fuel efficiency improvements of up to 8.4% in diesel engine testing. The opportunity is to build recurring product revenue through distributors and industrial customers. 4. SUPA G® Battery Material The fourth layer of the business is GMG's proprietary graphene slurry for lithium ion batteries. Rather than having to manufacture an entire battery, SUPA G® potentially allows GMG to sell a specialized material into existing battery manufacturing supply chains. This creates another pathway to monetize the graphene platform while battery manufacturers evaluate performance improvements. 5. G CELLS™ Graphene Aluminium Ion Battery Finally, the conversation looks at GMG's highest value and longest term opportunity: its graphene aluminium ion battery technology. Developed with the University of Queensland and supported by Australian government funding, the technology is being advanced toward larger cells, manufacturing processes and eventual commercialization. This could ultimately move GMG from selling materials and additives into supplying an entire next generation energy storage technology. Ray and Craig discuss how these five assets create a layered commercialization strategy: produce the raw material, sell graphene enabled products, supply graphene into other manufacturers' batteries, and ultimately develop GMG's own battery technology. The conversation also looks ahead to GMG's expansion into North America and Europe, additional industrial applications, data centre cooling, strategic partnerships and the potential for modular graphene production facilities. Craig explains how the company's near term focus is converting commercial product adoption into revenue while continuing to invest in the much larger battery opportunity. Graphene Manufacturing Group Ltd (TSX-V:GMG, OTCQX:GMGMF) MD and CEO Craig Nicol joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion to discuss a new distribution agreement with Blackwoods, giving GMG's G LUBRICANT and THERMAL-XR products access to thousands of industrial customers across Australia. Nicol said Blackwoods' nationwide sales force and distribution network — spanning mining operators, freight businesses and manufacturers — represents a significant commercial step for the company. Customer demand is coming from two directions: some are seeking corrosion resistance and longer equipment life, while others are focused on energy savings. Data centres are a particularly promising market, where even modest efficiency gains translate into meaningful energy reductions. "Once they do try them, we find that they're very happy to repeat purchase," Nicol said. The Blackwoods partnership is the first step in a broader international distribution strategy, with similar agreements being pursued in Europe and the United States. Production capacity is being expanded through the company's modular Gen2 technology to keep pace with growing demand. First Graphene Ltd managing director and CEO Michael Bell talked with Proactive about the company's Memorandum of Understanding with The Sixth Element (Changzhou) Material Technology Co Ltd to distribute its PureGRAPH® CEM additive into China, opening a pathway into the world's largest cement and concrete market. Bell said the scale of the opportunity in China is significant when compared with other global cement markets. He noted that the UK market represents around 16 million tonnes of cement per year, while the US produces about 100 million tonnes. By contrast, China produces up to 2.3 billion tonnes of cement, which he said is “essentially 50% of the cement used in the world today”. The Sixth Element has been appointed as a key distributor for PureGRAPH® CEM in China, with exclusivity available subject to achieving annual purchase targets. Bell said the partner brings nanomaterials expertise, market connections, presence and manufacturing capability, all of which are important for entering such a large and complex market. The MOU includes a phased approach, beginning with validation of First Graphene's results in China, followed by a potential distribution agreement and, at later milestones, a JV licensing arrangement to support in-country manufacturing.
