Throughout history, God has used men and women to accomplish His work. God doesn't need any of us. He is sovereign over the entire world. Yet, in His sovereignty and grace, He allows us to be involved in what He is doing in the world. As we join Him and become involved in His work, our lives are changed. We become more like Jesus. Christ-followers who have gone before us have left a legacy that has impacted our lives today – and, now, this is our turn. This is our time. May God find us zealous and faithful in what He has called us to… NEXT.

In Romans 12, the apostle Paul, the author of Romans, turns the corner from the beautiful theology and deep doctrine of Romans 1-11. Romans 12 is the hinge of the letter. This begins the fourth section of the book of Romans, which is God's will. God's will is for Christ-followers to live out their faith in their everyday life. A Christian's walk should equal their talk. We are called to put into practice the teaching God pours into us. May we live out our faith and impact the world for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Jason Jules is a writer, blogger, stylist, brand consultant, and devotee of the Ivy look, albeit in a quite subverted form. The face of Drakes of London and writer of the John Simons documentary film A Modernist, Jules is widely recognized as the most stylish man in London media and culture.Described by Complex magazine as having a style akin to a “living, breathing jazz song,” he is also the creator of the online and real-world style brand Garmsville. His latest book, Black Ivy: A Revolt in Style, published by Reel Art Press, charts a period in American history when Black men across the country adopted a clothing style seen largely as the preserve of a privileged elite, and remade it for themselves. The Oxford button-down shirt, the hand-stitched loafer, the repp ties—these otherwise conventional clothes are donned with an approach so revolutionary, you won't be able to see them the same way again.Black Ivy is an art book about clothes, but it's also about freedom—both individual and collective. From the most avant-garde jazz musicians, visual artists, and poets to the more influential architects, philosophers, political leaders, and writers, Black Ivy explores, for the first time, the major role this period of aspiration—and upheaval—played, and what these clothes said about the people who wore them.Dermot McPartland, our Man in London, handled interviewing duties for this episode. The ReadingJason Jules reads from the introduction to Black Ivy: A Revolt in Style.Music by Pharoah Sanders

The loaded Wisconsin high school class of 2009 saw a proliferation of talent, producing a year in which it took 9:15 to make the medal stand in the 3200m. The man standing on that final podium position, John Simons of Arrowhead, had a weekend that looked to be the peak of an athletic career years in the making, bringing home two individual medals (though none higher than 5th place), as well as taking part in his team's runner-up 4x800m relay, culminating in a dominant team state championship for the Warhawks. His performances were significant breakthroughs, yet Simons, like several other members of Wisconsin's Sub-4 Club, was far from the most sought after talent coming out of the state that year. What may have appeared to others as a culmination was really a launching point. With a college career that included transferring, uncertainty, disappointing performances, and a struggle to find the success he knew he was capable of, John once again burst forth on to the scene, this time on the NCAA level, with a now legendary performance at an indoor last chance meet at Notre Dame in 2013. This episode is an excerpt from a forthcoming full-length episode with John, now an assistant coach at Dartmouth University. Keep an eye out for a great conversation about the full scope of John's career and some phenomenal insights on the power of self-belief in the days to come!

John Simons, chairman of Comicpalooza (@comicpalooza on twitter) speaks with host Craig Price about putting a comic-con together. The two discuss the modest history of Comicpalooza from it's humble beginnings in a movie theater lobby to the juggernaut can't miss festival that boast 60,000 attendees (more are expected this year!). John explains how he had hoped to grow into a hotel ballroom type of space only to see his comic-con jump into the cavernous George R Brown Convention Center. He talks about how he plans ahead (sometime up to 3 years in advance) for upcoming conventions, who they decide to ask and what type of programming you can expect this year. Craig goes on and on about how great John Barrowman was at Comicpalooza 2014 (It's kind of embarrassing), the diversity of programming available (it's really like 10 small conventions happening at once) and the love of beer while waiting in line. Comicpalooza's mission is to provide the best and biggest annual multi-format pop culture convention in the southwest region of the United States, serving not only the fans of comics, science fiction, fantasy, video and table top gaming, anime, music and film, but also as a trade show and showcase for the studios, publishers, and manufacturers in those industries. This year Comicpalooza is happening on May 22nd through the 25th. Kenneth Branagh delivered a solid film, with excellent casting, special effects, heart, and a killer sound design.Plus Ken and Jordan throw down on the relevance of Ang Lee's Hulk to the continuity of The Incredible Hulk. And Jim schools us all with his Pre-JMS Thor knowledge. Then at the 1:45:00 mark we interview John Simons of Comicpalooza, a Comic Book and Media convention at the George R.
