What's up Bros? we are in Mexico City with the ladies of Miami. Lisa is about to reach a settlement with Lenny so that she and the group can hopefully move on from this, but Lenny adds on stipulation... Alexia takes everyone to the Virgin of Guadalupe to help Guerdy in her battle with cancer and we see a very touching moment where the group truly comes together in the church. Julia has emotions brought back to the surface after she tells us about losing her faith after losing her son. Later we have a boat ride that gets heated as Lisa and Kiki get into it due to Lisa making comments about some of the locals living situations. The surprise of the episode was Larsa, who supported Guerdy and also calls out Lisa for her recent behavior. All in all one of the better episodes of the season in our humble opinion. When Jerry's son was diagnosed with Autism in 2007, Jerry realized that despite having participated in dozens of calls for service involving autistic individuals, he knew next to nothing about Autism. Jerry began documenting his journey as an Autism dad in the blog Bacon and Juice Boxes and his writing began to resonate with other special needs parents around the world. After he revealed that he was a police officer, he began receiving hundreds of messages from other special needs parents who were concerned that their loved ones would be misunderstood by first responders. Realizing the need for better education, Jerry began Blue Bridge Autism Training to train law enforcement around the world about Autism and best practices for responding to calls involving autistic individuals. It's been a year (well, a year and a bit) of juggling twin motherhood and business owning which means it's time to reflect on what I've learnt. And there has been a LOT of learning curves. Listen to the final episode of the season to hear some of these, including:The effect tiredness has on your brain (and timelines!) No-one actually cares about pushed deadlines if you have epic communication (and clients) The brain needs more love now than ever - and how to do that. Creating space from the babies - literately and mentally - equals way better work. A new thing I'm trialling that involves starting at 4.25am and possibly cancels out my first learning. The importance of being picky about who you work with and what you do. Need any extra tips/ kind ears/ empathy/ poo stories to get you through to season 2? To sell anything - be it a service or a product - you need to have an audience. But who are they and how do you connect with them? This minisode takes you through how to work out who your *real* audience is. And no, your audience is not a demographic, they're not just a generation (NOT just a "millennial"), they are a group of people connected by their needs, mindsets, challenges and desires. Listen to hear:What an audience is not.And what an audience is.Where to start with finding your own audience's shared beliefs, needs, mindsets and where your brand fits
Your Brand Personality is the 'thing' that makes your brand feel like a human, and gives it the ability to connect with your audience. It's through consistently and clearly using your brand personality that people will start to recognise you without even needing to see identifiers like logos. This minisode covers:The psychological need of 'know, like and trust' that leads customers to buy from brands What a brand personality is - tone of voice and visual How your band personality influences how your audience feel when they interact with you How to work out yours
When it comes to establishing a business (and brand) we're told again and again to 'start with why'. But what does that actually mean and how do we do that. This mini episode covers exactly that. For a lot of people 'limbo land' is their lives right now. Whether they've been made redundant, found their life plans up in the air, tackling a new phase of self employment, beginning a biz, or a new mama, limbo is that weird, slightly lost feeling we often have during these situations. I've been there. Pretty much alllll of those things on the list are experiences I've been through and ended up in a limbo land because of it. This eppy covers the things I did that helped me and may help you too, including:• Realising your career isn't your identity• Having a routine much like your pre-limbo life• Realising and trusting limbo is never forever• Being gentle - transitions are hard man, and we need to give ourselves space• Doing what you can do - not fretting about what's out of your control• Taking the opportunity to assess life and what you want out of it• Socialising in real life You've got this!

I don't know about you but I think it's time we ditched the question "how do you balance it all?" Balance is a myth, a lie, a pursuit that keeps us feeling like we're failing when really we should be celebrating life. And where's the fun in that? (hint: gone) In this eppy I cover learnings that will help you with this pressure to be balanced, including:• Embracing the ebbs and flows in biz• Realising you are a kickass, achieving human - as wanky as that sounds• Choosing where your priorities are - and how knowing it's a choice means you're not failing, you're choosing.
Join me in this week's episode of Drinks with Dan as I am joined by Jenn Porter as we talk everything from IVF to Animal Farm. Also juiceboxes. Yes juiceboxes.
Okay, okay. So pricing talk doesn't seems super #mumlife related does it? But in all honesty, now that I'm a mum I think pricing is more important than ever! After all, how we spend our time matters even more than before so your pricing and attitude towards the work you take on plays a big part in that. This episode is perfect for all of those new biz questions about how to price, or serves as a good pricing checkpoint if you're a few years in but still working it all out. It covers: Where to start when you're first thinking about pricing your product or service. Acknowledging that when you first start out you won't always be able to price exactly the way you want to, or take on the exact work you want straight away. My own criteria for deciding if I should take on a certain project or not - price being one of these elements. A controversial view on discounts (avoid them) and what you can do instead to make your service or product seem super valuable.
Life can be pretty overwhelming. And that's before even adding in juggling babies and business. In this eppy I share a simple solution to any feelings of overwhelm you might be having - whether it's an overwhelm based on uncertainty (overwhelmed by 'what if's and worse case scenarios) or overwhelmed based on having too much on your plate. This episode covers:What is overwhelm How to remove the overwhelm using a handy dandy, super science-y (not) technique I call 'finding the next thing' Taking simple steps to move forward in biz, motherhood and life (simple af, promise) Find me on the 'gram under @megsraynor or @ginandjuiceboxes.podcast

Being self-employed can be super isolating. So can being a new parent. When you start new phases of life it's a LOT easier when you are surrounded by people who understand what you're going through - whether because they've been there before or are there now. But if you don't have people around you in a similar situation what can you do? This episode covers how I've made new friends both during my new biz-owning phase and new mum phase.∙The power of being brave in insta DMS∙Asking friends for new friends∙Saying yes to leaving the house
When you start your own biz or have a baby (or two!) the word "productive" takes on a whole new meaning. Let's dive into the top four ways I stay productive whilst juggling tantrums and taxes. This episode covers: Learning to prioritise, for reals. Ditching the to-do list and the pressure it brings. Choosing to be unproductive. Apps that help me stay on track, no matter what I need to get done. Whether you think you're already a productive person or wholeheartedly put your hand up and say 'no I'm not', you need to listen to this episode.
Stress seems to be one of the things that just comes with the territory of owning a business and being a mama. Or does it? I've been learning, and trying, and learning, and trying lately to change that. You'd think after having babies that had to get emergency evacuated I'd have automatically learnt what was actually worth stressing about, but it seems the social construct of busy = stress = success and my general personality means I haven't quite nailed that learning. Yet. This episode covers:∙How stress is a choice∙My own fail of choosing to stress in a parenting sitch and making life harder for it∙Ways we can shift that mindset - or try to - when we're stressed in biz or motherhood, or life in general∙ Questions to ask yourself when you're stressing about something∙A fangirl moment about my friend/client/#bizmuminspo @hello_and_cookie (find her under that on the 'gram)
'They' say starting a business is like having a baby. There are many, many ways that 'they' are wrong (uh, labour anyone?) but having now been through both I've realised there were four ways that were semi right. These four learnings set me up for motherhood, and - if you're a mama who wants to own a business - would set you up for running a biz too. This episode covers:The truth about winging it Learning you can only control what you do, nothing else The importance of asking for help Trusting your gut - it just takes practice.

[19:01] Using a Juice Box as metaphor for Toastmasters Club Officers is the brainchild of Rebecca Cuthbertson Hulst, ACS, ALB. Rebecca has been a Toastmaster since Jan 2014 and just finishing her year as Area Director for District 99, D29 in Edmonton, Canada Rebecca is also a Registered Collaborative Family Lawyer, a Mediator, and a lawyer for children.
