0:00 - Amidst all the legal proceedings and trials and injunctions and complaints and teams refusing to play Texas Tech in any sport ever and condemnations from the Big 12 commissioner, Brendan Sorsby and Texas Tech have parted ways. Sorsby will enter the NFL's supplemental draft. He will not play another down of college football. What a WILD turn of events. Kaner said this whole debacle wouldn't have happened the same way if Sorsby played at a bigger football school. If he was the QB at Alabama, Georgia, or Ohio State, would teams still refuse to play them?17:06 - Let's read the tea leaves here...according to Brett, it seems like Sean Payton is planning to move on from Marvin Mims sooner rather than later. He's putting all the pieces in place.31:45 - Just when you thought ticket prices couldn't get more out of whack, have you SEEN the World Cup ticket prices?? Move on over, NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden. There's a new sheriff in town.

0:00 - The Avs lost to Vegas last night in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final. Oh boy. Here we go again. But the boys aren't panicking this morning! The Avalanche played a solid game last night, but couldn't execute in key moments. It was a razor thin margin. The final score doesn't do justice how close the game actually was.Do you agree with Brett & Moser? Or are you hitting the panic button today?14:23 - What were the three biggest components of the Avs loss, according to Kaner?32:48 - Why is everyone acting like the sky is falling? The Avalanche lost their 2nd game of the entire postseason! Even the best teams lose, and the Avs played really well for the majority of the game? And yet, a large chunk of Avs fans are acting like we're completely and totally doomed!

What does it really mean to be financially free, and can a high income alone get you there? In this episode, Iván Watanabe and Evan Wohl sit down with Dr. Talha Kaner, physician and watch dealer, whose company generated $5 million in sales in its second year. Dr. Kaner shares how his lifelong passion for timepieces evolved into a thriving business built alongside his medical career. They cover the hidden mechanics of the luxury watch market, from authorized dealer games to gray market strategies, the value of building a business rooted in genuine passion, and how forming an LLC opened his eyes to financial opportunities that W2 earners often miss. Dr. Kaner discusses: How his entrepreneurial mindset started in his teens and led him through multiple ventures before landing on the watch business two and a half years ago The realities of the luxury watch market, including how supply and demand manipulation by brands like Rolex inflates secondary market prices well beyond retail MSRP How operating a watch dealership as an LLC created financial freedom and tax advantages that his physician salary alone could not provide The authorized dealer system and why buyers often need to purchase watches at a loss before earning the right to acquire a coveted piece like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Why finding a trusted dealer matters more than chasing Instagram-famous sellers, and how the industry saying “buy the dealer, not the watch” holds true for serious collectors And more! 0:00 - No Moser, no Vic, no Bednar, no problem! The show must go on! Erik Johnson tapped in for an injured Bedsie and had a nice one-on-one chat with Kaner this morning. 14:54 - Today's show is turning into an all-day appetizer how. A texter asked us - can you eat appetizers all day? Brett is team All Appertizers. Next, what will the Nuggets rotation look like in the playoffs? Teams usually shorten their rotation significantly in the postseason, but that might not work for the Nuggets.31:00 - Oh, by the way...Moser is back! He made it! Oh, by the way...LaMelo Ball had a weird incident last night where he got tangled up with Bam Adebayo under the basket. Bam got hurt and didn't play the rest of the game. Was it intentional? What did LaMelo have to say after the game? How about Erik Spoelstra? Oh, by the way...Blue Jackets Head Coach (for now) Rick Bowness was mad, sad, angry, disappointed, all the emotions in his postgame presser last night.
0:00 - The Avalanche lost to the Stars in a shootout last night, but they looked damn good. This may be military grade copium, but they played a hell of a game. Bednar liked the way they played. MacKinnon liked the way they played. But sometimes the hockey gods give the edge to someone else. Hockey has a razor thin margin for error. The Avs and Stars are destined to face each other in a playoff series that comes down to OT in Game 7. Hopefully it's the WCF. Also, it's Day 3 of our annual Moser, Lombardi and Kane Drop tournament! The Round of 64 continues today with the Brett Region! Who will advance to the Round of 32 and keep their hopes alive?14:53 - Brett's a big fan of the show Succession. At one point, Logan Roy says to all of his children, "I love you...but you are not serious people." That's how Kaner feels about the Nuggets. This team is unserious. Forget about any championship aspirations. 32:16 - The NCAA tournament beings today! Games on games on games on games on games! It's madness, as advertised. But is the tournament still as exciting as it used to be? Or has the NIL era altered the landscape too much?

0:00 - After trading Sam Girard, the Avs have a good $8.7 million in cap space to play around with. Knowing Chris MacFarland and how much he enjoys shuffling the deck, we don't think he's done. The NHL trade deadline is a little over a week away. Things could get interesting.13:49 - Tonight, the Avalanche are back in action for the first time in almost a month. The Nuggets have a game tonight too, which means it's time for a Double Keys to the Game aka a Double Keys-A-Roo.After that, former Nuggets GM Calvin Booth went on Kevin O'Connor's podcast and finally shared his side of the story. His side of the infamous Malone/Booth fallout that resulted in them both getting fired last year 3 games before the playoffs. His perspective is...interesting, to say the least.32:27 - Brett Kane's alma mater almost fell through the center of the earth, and now Kaner has a new nickname.
0:00 - Yesterday at the NFL Combine, Sean Payton announced that Broncos Offensive Coordinator Davis Webb will be calling plays next year. Wow...it finally happened! Good for Davis. Sean's presser felt very open and honest. A tiny bit of Snarky Sean escaped when he was asked about Bo Nix and Predisposed AnkleGate 2K26 (where were you?), but aside from that, it felt like a very natural conversation about this changing of the guard.16:01 - Happy Trails, Sammy G! La Tornade is now touching down in Pittsburgh, PA with the Penguins. Two things can be true. Thing one: Brett's been the biggest defender of Sammy G there is. Poor guy has caught TONS of unnecessary arrows over the years, and he's made a big impact on his team. Thing two: it was time to move on. This trade will be better for everyone involved in the long run. 33:27 - Kaner doesn't think the Avs are done wheeling and dealing yet. Trading Sammy G freed up a good chunk of cap space, so he thinks other moves are on the horizon. After that, Broncos fans are over the moon about Davis Webb taking over offensive playcalling! They're acting like the Broncos offense will suddenly turn into that prolific 2013 offense overnight. It's good that everyone has complete faith! But maybe ease off the gas a bit. We have no idea how Davis Webb truly will look as a playcaller.
0:00 - Brock Nelson buried Latvia yesterday in Olympic hockey. He scored 2 goals, and had another one called off due to a penalty! Hey, rest of the world: get ready to learn Free Bird, buddy. USA hockey is comin (both men's and women's!)14:53 - According to Kaner, Bo Nix is Russell Wilson...and that's not actually a bad thing.35:20 - Joe Judge, Ole Miss QB Coach, testified at Trinidad Chambliss' NCAA hearing and had an...interesting take on parenthood that arose during the proceedings.
In this episode of we dive into a variety of topics, the NHL and its players. They discuss the impressive milestone of Kaner reaching 500 goals, debating his status as the greatest American player in hockey history. The conversation shifts to the longevity and resilience of players like Patrick Marlowe and Joe Thornton, who have played across multiple decades, showcasing the physical demands of the sport. The hosts also touch on the importance of grit and chemistry in team dynamics, particularly in the context of the upcoming Olympics, where they speculate on the U.S. team's strategy against Canada.Everything you need: https://www.penaltyboxpro.com/Our Socials:Penalty Box Productions: https://www.instagram.com/penaltyboxproductions/Overtime Chicks: https://www.instagram.com/overtimechicks/Jessica: https://www.instagram.com/jessicastappen_/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sundaychirps/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@sundaychirpsTwitter: https://twitter.com/sundaychirpsJarrod: https://www.instagram.com/jarrodpine/Emma: https://www.instagram.com/em.albertie/Silva: https://www.instagram.com/jacob.silva02/Gordie: https://www.instagram.com/gordon_gerstner/Golf: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfcg3RVKveI2VVvdH-QMXGA#golf #hockey #spittinchiclets #bobdoessports

0:00 - Some people have been comparing Bo Nix's late game theatrics to the Elway years. Thrilling comebacks against all odds! Kaner says a better comp for this season was the Tim Tebow year cumlinating in the DT TD in OT against Pittsburgh. So which one's the correct comp?12:45 - Why doesn't Bo scramble more? Clearly, he can move the ball with his legs. But sometimes, he waits until the magical 4th quarter to use his wheels! Why doesn't he hit the gas sooner?31:09 - The Avalanche are hosting the Lightning tonight - what are Moser's Keys to the Game?
0:00 - Dre Greenlaw has officially been activated from IR! He can return when he's ready. But...when will he actually BE ready? Don't ask Sean Payton about it. 19:38 - Brett's not a conspiracy guy...but he's connecting some dots that are hard to ignore regarding the Chiefs and NFL officiating.34:36 - Russell Westbrook just signed with the Sacramento Kings. Why did he choose SacTown specifically? And why did he wait so long to sign somewhere?
0:00 - Moser has some serious BEEF with Brett's Power Rankings with Tiers. What did Kaner get wrong?16:06 - The news broke during our commercial break: Nik Bonitto signed an extension with the Broncos! He's staying in Denver. Yet another slam dunk from the Broncos ownership.32:05 - George Paton has become a mastermind at understanding a player's true value/worth. The Bonitto extension is yet another example.
0:00 - Brett was right. Devaughn Vele was tradable for a draft picks! Someone out there wanted him. Moser and Vic called him a madman, and yet Kaner ended up on the right side of history. Let's allow him to take a victory lap!15:47 - While's Brett's out here taking victory laps, he was right about something else! He said it was time for the Rockies to cut bait with Austin Gomber. Just admit everything about the Arenado trade was a failure and cut him loose. Low and behold... the Rox put him on outright waivers yesterday. The Gomber situation also reminded Brett about something the Broncos did...32:43 - After all the teams trim their rosters to 53 men, will Sean Payton look to claim anyone off waivers?
0:00 - There are lots of offseason narratives surrounding Bo Nix right now - some are positive, some are negative. But are any of them fair?15:10 - Starbucks announced that the coveted Pumpkin Spice Latte will return on August 26th. OMG totes can't wait. Next, Bo Nix and Jalen Hurts are more similar than you'd think, according to Kaner.34:31 - Are we surprised that no one's picked up Russell Westbrook yet? He should've found a home by now.

0:00 - Of all the insanity from the sporting weekend that was, Vic said the craziest thing was the blockbuster Desmond Bane trade between Memphis and Orlando. The terms of the deal make no sense, especially since 1st round draft picks don't matter that much anymore (according to Vic).21:39 - Kaner was right about Rory McIlroy the whole time. This weekend provided even more evidence.36:25 - Gabe Landeskog was officially named to Sweden's Olympic hockey team for the 2026 Winter Games. He's not just back. He's BACK back.
0:00 - Berto is in today for the late great Brett Kane...who's not dead. Seriously. Kaner's still alive.17:06 - Last night's Oilers vs Panthers game was an instant classic! Shoutout Avalanche legend Calvin Pickard for a stellar performance between the pipes.36:46 - Did you know Berto got run over? Yeah, he was hit by a car. That's what it feels like to be a Rockies fan. Also, have you ever felt an earthquake?
0:00 - A basketball team in Tel Aviv is reportedly going to make Russell Westbrook an offer "never before seen in European Basketball." What does that mean? How sweet is that deal? Should Westbrook take it? 14:16 - Adam Silver has said the NBA's All Star Game in 2026 will be USA vs The World. Will that have the impact he wants? Who would start for the World team?36:05 - Kaner saw an interview with Cam Skattebo on the St. Brown Brothers Podcast and it got him wondering...are we getting old? Is Brett old now?
0:00 - We've learned this time and time again. The Nuggets don't win unless they absolutely have to. They're horrible front-runners. Yesterday's loss reinforced that. 15:50 - We're hurting after the Nuggets loss yesterday, but Kaner has a silver lining for us! Yay!33:53 - Refs this, refs that, flop this, SGA free throw merchant that...officiating isn't why the Nuggets lost yesterday. So please, let's not complain about that today.
0:00 - The Rockies finally fired Bud Black. Right or wrong, it was a necessary evil. But it's not enough. It reminded Kaner of a famous scene from one of his favorite TV shows.17:18 - Nuggets vs OKC is a Best of 3 series now. It's all tied up 2-2 headed back to OKC for Game 5. How do we feel about the Nuggets' odds to win 2 of the next 3 games?35:24 - Rantanen scored AGAIN for Dallas last night en route to another multi-point night. Fellow former Av Nazem Kadri took to Twitter/X to weigh in on the situation.

How has our opinion of the changed after these last 3 games of the regular season?15:44 - Landeskog played 2 games with the Eagles this weekend and recorded 2 points! An assist and a goal! 0:00 - There was no joy in Mudville or Denver. The Timberwolves clowned the Nuggets AGAIN. On their home court! What's going on with Minnesota?? Why do they have Denver's number these days??21:25 - The Broncos signed TE Evan Engram, and we LOVE how George Paton is tackling Free Agency. But even though you have your TE, Brett doesn't think Denver's draft strategy should change.36:58 - Thanks to a Virginia Tech Men's Basketball player, we have a new slogan for the Rockies. Speaking of which, let's give Kaner 2 minutes to bring some Rockies positivity.
0:00 - The Minnesota Wild played keep away during overtime last night. They got their point, then played for a shootout. What changes could we make to the OT format? 12:00 - Vic's gives the listeners a Nuggets Sophie's Choice...based on a movie none of us saw. 29:33 - Southwest Airlines broke all of our hearts with the announcement yesterday. That sent us down the rabbit hole of airport/airline etiquette. Also, we may as well wrap up the show talking about sports! Kaner and Vic share their final thoughts on Broncos, Avs, and Nuggets.
0:00 - USA vs Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off was the greatest show on Earth over the weekend. It was appointment television as an exhibition game that has no bearing on the Stanley Cup race. Who had that on the bingo card? Anyone?15:26 - Brett doesn't want to go full "old man yells at cloud," but it's time for Brett to yell at some clouds. The NBA All-Star Game used to mean something, dammit! It doesn't anymore. And one man is mostly to blame for that. 36:29 - Kaner has...let's call it a "pipe dream" for the Broncos this offseason. Is it attainable?
0:00 - On the Morning Sprint yesterday, Raj said Kaner is stupid for his qualms with the 4 Nations Face-Off. Today, Brett gets the chance to respond. Does Berto agree?14:22 - Brett's on a Rockies Island. He thinks they actually have a young scrappy core that's building in the right direction. And...no one else believes in this team. 33:45 - Let's get Berto's perspective: which local team is closest to a championship?
0:00 - It was a great weekend for the Avalanche and Nuggets! The Avs made sure Dallas took that L on the way out, and the Nuggets blew out 2 teams in back-to-back games on the road. 15:33 - Let's recap all the insanity from the NFL Divisional Round. Most importantly, let's pour one out for Kaner's Lions.33:22 - The Ravens @ Bills game was billed as the Battle of the MVPs. Why isn't Saquon Barkley getting any legitimate MVP buzz? The Eagles would be absolutely nothing without him.
0:00 - Vic's Irish will play for a national title today! Will you root for them? Can you sideline your anti-Notre Dame sentiments just for one day?14:40 - The Rockies social media team shared the worst beer pour of all time over the weekend. It's truly baffling. 34:28 - Don't try to console Kaner about the Lions loss! He's mad right now and will be mad for awhile! That's fine! Let it happen! Let him stew.
Adam Schefter made his weekly appearance with us to ease Kaner's Lions sadness and recap the NFL Divisional Round insanity.
0:00 - Of the remaining 8 NFL playoff teams, Kaner says 6 of them all have a legitimate shot to win it all.19:01 - The Avalanche host the Rangers tonight, and the Nuggets are still in Dallas to face the Mavs again. What can we expect from both games?35:53 - Is Moser's truck safe at the gas station where he abandoned it? Is it still there?
Adam Schefter praised Bo Nix, made fun of Scott Hastings and DMac, and questioned Kaner's Lions fandom all in the same interview. That man is nothing if not efficient.
Send us a textThe Bums are back in the rail yard for S4:E0119, where the prologue dives headlong into NFL updates and the Chicago Bears clown show; Jaquan Brisker is beyond concussed (IR), Thomas Brown takes the OC controls, Caleb Williams is outplayed by… well, almost everyone, the Bears notoriously slow starts on offensive (numbers don't lie), and Packer week isn't hitting like the ol' days; QB journeyman Derek Carr is the first to 31; the KC Swifts put misogynistic asshole Harrison Butker on IR (karma police working OT); talk turns to NCAAF with IU cracking the Top 10 (but have they played ANYONE… crickets), latest Top 4 incudes Ohio State (not THE, just OS), Ducks, Horns and Penn State; baseball and the Cubs bid adieu to the Professor, Ian Happ gets gold hardware; pugilism is set for an epic embarrassment, with Iron Mike set to dance with serial douche bag Jake “Can't Read” Paul (aka. Dancing With The Stars); Eddie casts on eye on Kaner and Conor at the United Center; and Paddy lights up Geno Auriemma like Chevy Chase's house in Christmas Vacation (nobody, and I mean nobody, puts Caitlin in the corner). The epilogue predictably includes another multi-universal beer review, this time at the hands Batavia IL's pride, Energy City Brewing and their “Batisserie Chocolate Caliente” (ABV 10%), a delicious Imperial milk stout with chocolate, habanero & cinnamon (and maybe burnt marshmallow if you close your eyes); Old Irving Brewing's seasonal line of Krampus sells our in a matter of hours (Festivus gods are pleased); Rocky rolls through a B.O.M. quarterly business review and a stat spotting update; discussion turns to post-election social media trends including the death of Twitter (fuck Elon Musk, I'll never call it “x”) and the emergent BlueSky app; Rocky tries his hand at emulating Paddy's IDKNT segment with a send off, celebrating absolute legend Quincy Jones (and 11 fast facts); the weather in Chicago is changing how we dress and pay utility bills; Paddy's Notes include a tutorial on what happens when you're stupid and get hooked by the PoPo; and close with a new trend of Blue Women who are shaving their heads and striking coitus. All of this majesty while enduring election hangovers of the Nth degree. Get some before Rocky is deported. Recorded on November 14th, 2024 at B.O.M. northwest headquarters ‘The Eagle's Nest' in Chicago, IL USA.
0:00 - Jeff Legwold makes his weekly appearance with us to discuss Alex Forsyth and the FG block heard 'round the world. 15:54 - Vic betrayed Brett's trust, according to Kaner, by going back thorugh Facebook and digging up embarrassing photos. 36:10 - As the NFL Playoff Picture starts to take shape, which middling average teams are poised to make a run?
0:00 - The Nuggets begin a new season TAHNIGHT. Fans have lots of pessimism regarding Jamal and his abilities. Kaner isn't here for it at all.15:22 - Altitude+ is finally available in app stores! President of KSE Media Ventures Steve Smith joined us to discuss the good news.33:35 - The Avalanche game will be broadcast over the air on channel 9 tonight! President and GM of 9News Mark Cornetta joined us in studio to talk about the partnership between our stations.
Brett thinks the Broncos should be sellers at the deadline since playoffs are actually attainable now! ESPN's Adam Schefter made his weekly appearance today, and he doesn't quite agree with Kaner's take.
0:00 - Adam Schefter makes his weekly appearance to take us through the hottest headlines around the NFL.15:54 - Kaner and Moser's Detriot Lions are BALLIN right now. Meanwhile, the UNDEFEATED CHIEFS look mortal and worn out. The football gods aren't fair.34:46 - The Avalanche vs Kraken playoff series feels like a lifetime ago. Do we still hate Seattle? Or has the dislike dissipated?
0:00 - Brett has a dirty filthy mouth, according to Vic and Brett.20:17 - If this whole broadcasting this doesn't work out, Kaner has a new career path planned out.34:20 - We re-hash an old beef from 5 years ago: Marc Moser vs Christian Bale.
Our Feb book club episode is "GodKiller" by Hannah Kaner, great lite epic fantasy with wonderful characters. Pardon our refernces to tech failures, I tried something new and we recorded for 40 min and then lost it all. haha. Methodology reset though, should be easier in future :) Next month's book is "Sure, I'll Join Your Cult" by Maria Bamford. And then month after that will be a huge SF book. Yes, we have no focus LOL.
