   Slam the Gavel welcomes new guest, Lee Dobson from Canada. Lee has been suffering legal abuse in the Family Court system for the last three years. The catch is, that he has no ex wife, family and no children.      All it took was one false accusation and an UNSIGNED Restraining Order to put him in a position of self representation. As an electrician Lee has lost jobs due to waiting for hearings to start, has suffered defamation of character and extortion. Claudette was last on the podcast Season 5, Episode 239.  Claudette is retired from healthcare and is a former Sunday School teacher in British Columbia, Canada.      Claudette has updated her story as in the past episode she had been falsely accused in Alberta Courts without evidence by her oldest adult daughter. Claudette has evidence, but the courts won't look at it and there has been court staff interference with court files and setting Claudette up to appear as if she forged her attorney's signature.      Slam The Gavel Podcast welcomes Edyta (Edie) Hanna Basista. Edie is a civil rights advocate, trauma survivor, and pro se federal plaintiff in Basista & Palacios v. Batch, et al., a landmark constitutional lawsuit filed under 42 U.S.C. §§ 1983, 1985(3), and 1986, as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.     The case names 25 defendants, including judges, elected officials, attorneys, police officers, former spouses, licensed therapists, and state-contracted service providers, for their roles in a coordinated pattern of constitutional violations. Edyta's parental access was severed without a finding of unfitness, without an evidentiary hearing, and without lawful adjudication. Sealed trauma records were unlawfully disclosed. Court access was obstructed through procedural manipulation. Judicial actors refused to recuse despite personal and political conflicts, and retaliation was used to silence her legal efforts.     This is not a custody matter, it is a federal civil rights case grounded in binding U.S. Supreme Court precedent and asserting violations of the First, Fourth, Sixth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments, the Supremacy Clause, the ADA, and VAWA. The lawsuit exposes how courts and state-aligned professionals weaponized trauma, disability status, and indigency to deny her access to justice — and how that abuse was not accidental, but institutional.     Edyta Basista stands not only for herself, but for every parent, survivor, and disabled litigant who has been denied a fair hearing under law. However, on December 19th, 2016, he had to turn his then wife in for physical child abuse, but he thought he was seeking help. What came next was the police arriving and CPS.      Slam The Gavel welcomes back Amy Palacios to the podcast. There are currently seven lawsuits pending in Cabarrus County.    Apparently after the August 12th podcast, the judges retaliated, giving Amy an order extremely quickly as they normally take 60 days to respond. It was ANOTHER Gatekeeper Order. Then, on September 9th, 2025 a school bus caught on fire. However where is the money in the budget to replace 25 year old school buses?      Slam The Gavel welcomes Jackie Sample from DuPage, Illinois to the podcast. Jackie shared what judges have put her through in the state court as well as in the federal level. Jackie was repeatedly and unreasonably threatened with jail by Judge Orel after stating that her spouse filed false financial affidavits and for allowing a reporter to interview her. Judge Orel was forced to retire in December 2024, however still collects a pension.  Judge Alvarado also threatened Jackie for trying to present an emergency motion and blocked her from speaking.     Slam the Gavel welcomes Darla Hall to the podcast. Darla Hall came onto the podcast to share the story of her son, Nicholas Hall who was recently sentenced to 21 years in prison in Connecticut. Their nightmare began in 2020 when ALLEGATIONS surfaced just weeks after a custody dispute with his then-wife.      One alleged victim later confirmed nothing ever happened, yet Nicholas Hall was still prosecuted AND from the very beginning, his case has been marked by conflicts of interest, COLLUSION, improper rulings, suppression of evidence and POWERFUL political CONNECTIONS that cast doubt on the FAIRNESS of his trial.    In February 2025, Nicholas Hall was convicted on four of six counts, though not on the most serious of charges.     Slam The Gavel welcomes Senator Tammy Nichols from Idaho to the podcast. Senator Nichols (district 10) is a mother to five children. When she and other parents noticed an issue with Common Core in the school districts. That is when she started speaking to Representatives and Legislature, working with other organizations, then decided she should run for office. She also noticed a disconnect between the people and government. "People are supposed to be part of the process," states Senator Nichols.   Senator Nichols talked about the task force in Idaho regarding family court. She was hearing from parents who were telling their stories and experiences in family court. These were professional parents; veterans, nurses, (parents with no criminal records) with egregious family court stories. More people started reaching out.      We discussed their mind-blowing testimonies and the patterns that are affecting the process. Also, how a parent will spend years and hundreds of thousands of dollars to get their child back.      This was started as Arizona had started a task force as well. Idaho followed suit. This is a national issue that is taking place. Utah did a re-vamp on child custody issues last year. There are very concerning issues regarding the courts such as no oversight.      Slam The Gavel welcomes Marianne Perz, from Canada on to the podcast. Marianne is a former national team athlete for ultramarathon running for Canada. She has been a mediator in civil procedure and in family matters for over 22 years.      Her daughter remains stolen from her due to forgery of my signatures on adoption papers that the Court and Government is aware of but is concealing.       When lawyer JD Coon crafted an Affidavit and forged Marianne's signature purporting she gave up her daughter to the crown wardship for adoption to her brother and his wife. He forged her signature and notarized this forgery which he served to CAS. He also crafted a forged document as a Plan of Care, all purporting that Marianne gave up her daughter. In the interim he played her by telling her he was preparing to defend and would get her daughter back in 4 days on the day of the motion hearing.      On the day of the motion hearing on June 17, 2013, JD Coon came down the court house hallway to Marianne before the start and said he reached an agreement for her to get her daughter back and told her to sign a lone signature page and to initial it. He refused to give her the two content pages as he said it was a huge rush and when she asked him what the agreement was for he told her it was for CAS closing the file and her daughter returning to her via her aunt and uncle where she would live. David is a determined father and whistleblower from Luzerne County, Pennsylvania and a SURVIVOR of the KIDS FOR CASH SCANDAL.    Now David has fought alone in Family Court since 2015 to protect his nonverbal, autistic daughter from abuze and systemic neglect, even after reporting SA by her mother's adult aunt in 2020.      Shockingly, the agency in charge, CYS refused to interview his daughter then closed the case as "unfounded." Soon after, the CYS director was arrested for endangering hundreds of children.    The family returned to court only because the mother wasn't following prior custody orders David wanted stronger protections; instead, when Judge Terra Toohill took over the case in 2023, she - despite long judicial and political ties to adoption interests and agencies involved IGNORED clear perjury against David, fabricated custody factors, accused him of SA without evidence and ordered his daughter to undergo unnecessary exams.     Today, David pays between $50-80.00 per hour for supervised visits but has not had custody in over 500 days and this all the result of judicial decisions steeped in conflict and what appears to be calculated retaliation. In June of 2025, the federal government validated David's claims. Steven Wade was last on the podcast Season 2, Episode 92 and Season 3, Episode 58, where we discussed speaking out on how to counter false allegations and how to succeed.      Steven suggested that when a parent is faced with false allegations is to answer, "It didn't happen, and then move on and talk about why contact is in the best interest of their child." Judges know people lie to them on a regular basis, some judges don't entertain them or they can order a fact-finding hearing/trial. Steven explained how long it can take to get into a hearing or trial.     The power dynamic of who pays for what and the Silver Bullet/false allegations and how things get worse when the criminal side of things into the mix. Slam The Gavel welcomes back Phillip W. Simon from San Diego, California back to the podcast. Simon was last on Season 5, Episodes 5, 17, 18 and 21. What started as a family law dispute completely exploded when the court ignored a signed Interspousal Grant Deed AND falsely claimed that Phillip had retired from the military. That LIE was used to seize VA-protected property and ignore Federal Statutes, such as 38 U.S.C. subsection 5301. This then created a domino-effect of fraud and legal abuse, forcing Phillip into Federal Court to defend rights the Constitution that are ALREADY guaranteed.   Phillip states that they didn't just deny justice, "they erased the facts, tampered with filings and protected insiders. To have your government pretend you're retired just to take what is yours? That's STOLEN VALOR by proxy and this puts every veteran at risk."      Slam The Gavel is honored to have Pennsylvania State Representative Jamie Flick on the podcast. Jamie Flick represents Pennsylvania's 83rd Legislative District, serving parts of Lycoming and Union Counties.     Today we discussed House Bill 378, which reduces the factors considered during child custody issues from 19 to 12. Mr. Flick's amendment improves the bill by requiring family courts to provide anyone named in a custody petition with a written copy of the new factors when decisions are made which add clarity and transparency to the process, creating a better future for children.     This amendment was unanimously approved by the House requires the court to give everyone a copy of the new factors within 30 days of modifications being made. This clarification helps parents to participate more fairly in the process. Once this amendment was added to this legislation, it took a little more than 30 days for the Senate to unanimously pass the bill and Governor Shapiro to sign it.     We discussed the shady Domestic Relations Units, the NECESSITY of CAMERAS in the COURTROOMS and the amount of false accusations Pennsylvania State Police see every year. 80% are false accusations. HELLO DOGE and Pam Bondi.     Today, Marineka Bowman updated us on her case where the counselor, Swiyah Whittinington, with 3 years of experience is handling her daughter's counseling. The therapist has said that child cannot bond with mother, is afraid of her, though the counselor has never reached out to Marineka (mother). Also this counselor has cancelled many appointments in April and also picked up and went to work for another agency. Bear in mind, that the therapist has ties to Attorney Laura Brooks.      The first counselor at Turning Corners who handled her daughter's counseling, had experience in Drug and Alcohol counseling, however no background in handling children with PTSD or Child Psychological Abuse.      The third party parasite, Guardian Ad Litem, Patricia Weir communicates with the father. Apparently the father has many connections in this case. Collusion abound, Judge Natalie Haskins should have recused herself long ago......    This is a silent pain that people take for granted when there are no contact orders and personality disorders are running the courtroom, until it happens to you.      Slam The Gavel welcomes Mandy Greenway and Rhonda Vicker to the podcast. Mandy has been involved with the Allegheny County PA "family" court for the last three years. She is now on her third judge, Judge Pat Sweeney. Apparently Mandy filed a PFA on her ex that was granted due to physical and verbal abuse at a custody exchange at a local police station. In court however, Judge Sweeney told her ex, "Just don't do it again." There was no accountability for outrageous behavior and apparently Sweeney can't control her ex either. CPS and county detectives now have her ex as a suspect in an ongoing active investigation of sexual exploitation and physical abuse. Kai was last on the show Season 5, Episode 131, where he talked about his two brothers being withheld from his family.           Kai is a very determined young man and devoted big brother, who first spoke out last year to shine a light on the hidden abuse and the fight to keep families together. He's returned now to give an important update on his journey, using his voice and platforms to expose Family Court corruption and defend the bonds that should never be broken. Kai‘s mission is simple but powerful: to protect his little brother's, stand for the truth and inspire others around him to stand up for what is right.     Kai discussed what walking into the family court had felt like and sitting next to his abuser. He had also discussed what happened in court recently and how there was a one-sided interview with CPS. He did say that the Hearing Moderator was listening to him, however not changing anything while his little brothers are being turned against Kai and his whole family. In the past going before Judge Sibum, he questions if she ever listened to his brothers at all and didn't interview him either.     Encouraging others to speak out as Kai wants others to speak out. HELLO DOGE and Pam Bondi.     Today we covered Marineka's updates to her case where Judge Natalie Haskins of DE is continuing to disrespect and disregard the imputed income that never existed involving the ex-husband who refuses to show his financials. Now, they have Marineka in the arrears of $23,000.00 and father NOW demands that she go to jail in order to break the  parental bond Marineka has with her daughter.      Bear in mind the father was not involved in their lives since birth and never contributed to help raising their child. SUDDENLY, he comes back into their lives only to turn it upside down. He asked for one day a week only for one hour to visit his daughter. Judge Natalie Haskins replied, "this is going to be an issue when you come back for custody." Essentially, father came back to court so Haskins could reverse custody and she asked him who would be helping him raise his child. He told her his father, who is in his 80's would be helping. So Judge Haskins gave him custody. Poor decision making on the part of the judge when their daughter was doing well in reading, and now cannot even spell simple words.    Slam the Gavel welcomes Olga Wilson to the podcast. Olga is a mom, an immigrant and a survivor of systemic abuse within the California family court system. She came on the podcast to speak on behalf of all parents suffering through this system who have been silenced, targeted and retaliated against for doing what any decent parent would do: PROTECT THEIR CHILDREN.     What Olga found, unfortunately, when she came to this country from Russia 12 years ago, she saw for herself the corruption, collusion and cruelty.  In Butte County, California, Olga lost custody of her daughter without a trial, evidence and without a voice. Her interpreter was giving wrong responses and calling her an "applicant," instead of a Petitioner. There were transcription discrepancies. Despite video-recorded disclosures of abuse, reports from mandated reporters and her own efforts to seek help, Olga was mocked in open court, threatened with jail and labeled a "vexatious litigant," while legally kidnapping her daughter.    The evidence has either been sealed, ignored or erased.
