Back in 1955, a quiet Kentucky farmhouse became ground zero for one of the wildest alien encounter stories ever—complete with glowing-eyed creatures, a shotgun standoff, and a mystery that still baffles skeptics today.IN THIS EPISODE: It's considered one of the most bizarre and convincing extraterrestrial events ever reported… we'll look at the alien encounter in 1955's Hopkinsville, Kentucky that was experienced by two terrified families. (The Hopkinsville Encounter) *** In the deep jungles of the Congo, natives tell of a giant creature that, once described, sounds exactly like a long-necked dinosaur. But how could this be? And is it pure legend? Perhaps not, as one noted biologist from the area saw it with his own eyes and reported it. We'll look at the supposed real sighting of Mokele-Mbembe, the living dinosaur of the Congo! (Dinosaur Observed In The Congo) *** Running a club during prohibition was extremely lucrative… and extremely dangerous, as one Theodore Lakoff would've learned… had he been awake when he was murdered. (The Mysterious Death of Theodore Lakoff) *** Benjamin Franklin was known not just as one of the father's of the United States of America, but also as an inventor, a womanizer, and a man with a bit of an ornery streak in him – as is evidenced by a series of letters he wrote to the New England Courant, where he pretended to be a woman. (Who Was Mrs. Silence Dogood?) *** The internet is a vital part of modern life. Without web access, all kinds of businesses and jobs would be unable to function. So, as you can imagine, there are plenty of people who would love to see the internet crumble. And many have tried. (Taking Down The World Wide Web) *** In 1983 sightings poured in from people on the California coast who claim they saw a sea monster. Tadej Pogačar has a convincing lead in the Giro d'Italia as the race pauses for the first rest day. With nine stages completed he's already won three stages and could easily have bagged five. Imperious on every terrain, he's even turned his hand to providing a devastatingly strong lead-out for his UAE team's sprinter, Juan Sebastián Molano. He's racing for fun and for victory. So, we ask, can anything stop him from cantering away with the maglia rosa as the race nears its Roman finale? In order to answer that question, we speak to the directors on the two teams that have pressed Pogačar hardest over the Giro's opening nine days. We hear first from Bora-Hansgrohe DS John Wakefield, who's full of praise for Bora leader Dani Martínez, and tells us "if the opportunity presents, we'll definitely go for it". The Ineos Grenadiers have signalled their determination to be aggressive since the opening day, when their Ecuadorian champion Jhonatan Narváez outsprinted Pogačar to become this Giro's first leader. After Narváez went oh so close to a second win in Naples, we spoke to Ineos team manager Steve Cummings, who explains why his team have been "excellent" since the race started and why cycling's history suggests that there's still a chance of Ineos leader Geraint Thomas taking the title. After Lewis Askey last time out, it's the turn of Harrison Wood to update us on his Giro progress. The Cofidis rider reflects on the stage victory taken by teammate Benjamin Thomas, the awful state of the Neapolitan roads, and how he's quickly learning how to save his personal "bullets" for exactly the right moment to fire them. We also reflect on the decision to select Richard Virenque as a torchbearer for the Olympic flame, which has arrived on French soil and is now being zig-zagging its way northwards from Marseille to Paris. A doper who consistently lied about his actions until the evidence of his cheating was overwhelming, does Virenque really embody the values of the Olympic Games? Last time out in our regular "How to Make Cycling Better" feature, Soudal QuickStep sprinter Luke Lamperti suggested getting rid of time trials in stage races. Now we hear from his former team boss at the Trinity Racing team, Pete Kennaugh, who explains why he'd do away with "cognitive gains".

Unfortunately, Captain Young passed away on June 9, 2021.These gentlemen were legendary trailblazers at the height of the civil right movement in the 1960s. All three left a lasting legacy at Pan Am, paved the way for other people of color and beyond, and were part of the change that transformed the commercial aviation community. In 1976, Benjamin Thomas, an Eastern Airlines pilot, organized a meeting that formed the Organization of Black Airline Pilots, now called the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, to address discrimination in the airline industry.Ed Moon was a one of the 38 founders of the organization and both Perry and Ed served as president and board chair of the organization through the years.Today, the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals or OBAP for short, is a world-leading non-profit organization that changes lives by creating a pathway to success through educating youth, communities, and professionals—shaping an aerospace industry as diverse as the people they serve. For more information on OBAP, visit their website at obap.org.
Hey Identifier, https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/14/us/parkland-nikolas-cruz-jury-verdict-friday/index.html #nikolascruz #parklandshooting #massshootings In a South Florida courtroom, jurors stared straight ahead or gazed into their laps as their decision to recommend a lifelong prison sentence for Parkland school shooter Nikolas Cruz was read aloud in court on Thursday. The group of jurors didn't look in the direction of visibly emotional victims' families, many of whom hoped the shooter would receive the death penalty after he pleaded guilty to massacring 17 students and staff members at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018. The jury's decision punctuates a monthslong trial to determine whether Cruz, 24, would be sentenced to life in prison or be handed the death penalty, which would have required a unanimous decision from the jury. The judge is expected to issue the gunman's formal sentence on November 1 and by law is unable to deviate from the jury's recommendation of life. Victims' families attend the trial of Nikolas Cruz in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on October 13, 2022. Parkland school shooter avoids the death penalty after jury recommends life in prison The deliberations became “tense” as jurors worked toward a conclusion, one jury member wrote in a handwritten letter to Broward Circuit Judge Elizabeth Scherer. The juror, who ultimately voted against the death penalty, wrote that “some jurors became extremely unhappy once I mentioned that I would vote for life (in prison).” Ultimately, three of the 12 jurors voted against recommending the death sentence, jury foreman Benjamin Thomas told CNN affiliate WFOR. “There was one with a hard ‘no,' she couldn't do it. And there was another two that ended up voting the same way,” said Thomas. He explained that the woman who was a hard no “didn't believe because he was mentally ill he should get the death penalty.” Several family members of Cruz's victims decried the jury's decision as a cruel denial of the devastation that they have been forced to live with. Dans Podcast +, Jean-Jacques Deleeuw reçoit ce mercredi 5 octobre 2022 Benjamin Thomas.
I recently learned that the lynching of Benjamin Thomas in 1899 was, at least in part, supported by the then mayor, George L. Simpson. Mayor Simpson was at the time attending Washington Street MEC, South, and was, just a couple years later, received into membership at the church. Not only did his presence in the congregation, but his later acceptance by the congregation, should invite us to question, how is God remolding us into a greater force for good - something our predecessors of the faith sometimes neglected?

Silence Dogood?) *** Most of us are familiar with the Salem Witch Trials that took place in the 17th century – but what they saw as witchcraft then, and what we see as witchcraft now, hardly compares to witchcraft in the fourteen hundreds! (The Hammer of Witches) *** The internet is a vital part of modern life. (The California Sea Monster) *** It's considered one of the most bizarre and convincing extraterrestrial events ever reported… we'll look at the alien encounter in 1955's Hopkinsville, Kentucky that was experienced by two terrified families. Connecting with people, Drunk travel stories, and why traveling around the world is super important to learn about the world, yourself and what you'd like to do with your life. I had to bring my friend Luke onto the Path Hunters Podcast for a round two of the podcast. I really wanted to catch up with Luke and learn more about what's going on with him and also capture some of our amazing conversations. Check out more at www.pathhunters.com
Luke Benjamin Thomas is the owner and founder of Dude Studios. He has been traveling as a digital nomad since early 2013 working on projects that help other digital nomads be able to travel more instead of being tied to their online businesses... And help people get drunk. He's an explorer, always trying new things, a bit of an adrenaline junkie and a guy who can talk for hours and hours if you let him. How To Stop Backing Down & Face Your Fears "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step" - Lao Tzu I really love this quote because this is exactly what I and my good friend Luke Benjamin Thomas AKA LBT talks about. We chatted about his journey as a digital nomad as he has been traveling since 2013. He's been so multiple places and is also a podcaster himself as well, he is the host of That Marketing Dude Show. So I had to bring him onto the Path Hunters podcast to talk about his journey! LBT shared some amazing insights on his journey where he took a trip to Thailand for a month with a group of people he didn't really know too well but became friends afterward. He mentioned that it's all about easing your way into what you really want to do because he noticed that while he really wanted to travel he kept talking himself out of it and at the end of it never really took that leap to travel. What helped him with this was that he booked a one-way flight which forced him to take off. He then noticed that things got easier as he continued to step out of his comfort zone. It was so fun chatting with Luke for the podcast as it's a wonderful story about someone who literally just stepped out of his comfort zone and developed the love for travel.
