Join us over on our YouTube Channel for our most significant conversation yet on the interview series. Rick Russo and I engage in a discussion with Andy Purdy who was Senior Counsel for the HSCA reporting directly to Robert Blakey. Purdy had overall responsibility for the medical evidence review conducted by the HSCA and that is the topic of our conversation today with Andy. Andy also played a principal role in the reinvestigation of the Tippit murder and the investigation of Jack Ruby's involvement in the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald and any potential conspiracy. Andy found our podcast early last year, and this taped discussion with us is the culmination of an ongoing conversation with a man who was front and center in the HSCA's investigation, but hasn't been heard from within the JFK research community for over thirty years. Join us and listen in on riveting discussion related to the autopsy and also hear a lesser known story of how the HSCA was formed. You will learn that Andy himself had a big hand in the HSCA's formation as well while he was a law student at the University of Virginia. This is a blockbuster interview with one of the few remaining investigators of the JFK assassination. You you are not going to want to miss it!
In this episode of Change Unfiltered, host Angela Scott chats with Ann Humes, a former Microsoft leader turned entrepreneur and executive coach, about her remarkable journey from corporate life to owning a restaurant, and eventually developing a unique model for fractional leadership. Ann shares: How a Foo Fighters' song has become an anthem for her resilience Why leaving Microsoft to open a restaurant allowed her to see the importance of trust, working on the business rather than in it, and learning from every experience. Her belief that true success comes from collaboration—not being “self-made”—and how a solid support system is essential for sustainable growth. How she co-developed a new approach to fractional leadership, bringing in “fire jumpers” for rapid, high-impact contributions that allow businesses to scale quickly. Her advice on how to tune into your inner signals, helping you uncover the answers within and recognise when it's time to make a change. Keywords: resilience, fractional leadership, career transitions, entrepreneurial journey, teamwork, executive coaching, business growth, self-reflection, strategy If you enjoy this episode, please subscribe and rate!

Episode 212 is a special wander back to the autopsy with guest Rick Russo who is my JFK sidekick friend and co-producer of a series of twelve episodes on our JFK Enduing Secret You Tube Channel entitled Mysteries of the Enduring Secret. Earlier, we completed 30 or so episodes on the fantastic goings on that encompass this part of the JFK story. The story at Bethesda and the story of the autopsy. You may have thought that we were done with the autopsy, but this episodes reveals shocking new evidence. In this episode, Rick reveals something related to the autopsy at Bethesda that very few people know about, still to this day... a fact which seemingly ties together so much of the incongruent testimony and story telling that confounds the evidence at Bethesda and the autopsy itself. Finally, we can connect the dots in a logical way. What you will hear is far out and fantastic. So don't miss it. And the discussion is not over with this one reach back episode because we are hosting a follow up video interview and debate on our Your Tube Channel which features the famed JFK researcher and author William Matson Law and Rick Russo as we go back in time and more fully discuss Rick's finding with two of the most capable JFK subject matter experts on the planet. Our episodes have now begun to explore an array of matters that dive into a deeper darkness related to what went on that day in Dallas and in the period before and after the assassination. Matters that possibly point to a wider and more sinister plot to kill the president and that clearly call into question the theory that there was a lone assassin. Complex cases without an eyewitness that can actually identify the shooter make the forensic and circumstantial evidence that much more important. Ironically, problems abound with much of the evidence in this case. Evidence that is complex, incomplete and sometimes conflicting. Even as early as 1964, rumors and serious concerns over the lone gunman theory and the evidence that might contravene it, were becoming a major concern for the government and the commission. Conspiracy theories were contrary to the government's stated narrative from the very beginning. Stay tuned as there are many more episodes to come! This series comprehensively explores the major facts, themes, and events leading up to the assassination in Dealey Plaza and the equally gripping stories surrounding the subsequent investigation. We review key elements of the Warren Commission Report , and the role of the CIA and FBI. We explore the possible involvement of the Mafia in the murder and the review of that topic by the government's House Select Committee on Assassinations in the 1970's. We explore the Jim Garrison investigation and the work of other key figures such as Mark Lane and others. Learn more about Lee Harvey Oswald the suspected killer and Jack Ruby the distraught Dallas night club owner with underworld ties and the man that killed Oswald as a national TV audience was watching. Stay with us as we take you through the facts and theories in bite sized discussions that are designed to educate, and inform as well as entertain the audience. This real life story is more fascinating than fiction. No matter whether you are a serious researcher or a casual student, you will enjoy the fact filled narrative and story as we relive one of the most shocking moments in American History. An event that changed the nation and changed the world forever.

Laura Frantz came back on the show to talk about her latest novel, The Rose and the Thistle. Inspired by her own family history, Laura wrote this story set in the Scottish Lowlands during the Jacobite uprising of 1715. Laura is a Christy Award winner and the ECPA bestselling author of more than a dozen novels. More importantly, she's a kind soul, and always a delight to have on the podcast! Here is a description of the novel from Revell: Amid the Jacobite uprising in 1715, Lady Blythe Hedley's father is declared an enemy of the British crown because of his Jacobite sympathies. Forced to flee her home, Blythe is secreted away to Wedderburn Castle in the Scottish Lowlands to stay with longtime allies of her powerful Northumbrian family. While she awaits the crowning of the new king, she becomes acquainted with the Humes, the “Spears of Wedderburn,” who call the castle their home. Of the seven sons, it is Everard, Lord Fast, who intrigues Blythe the most. But their faith and their politics divide them. Everard is also grappling with his own problems—a volatile brother with dangerous political leanings, an estate to manage, and a very young brother in need of comfort and direction in the wake of losing their father. It would be best for everyone if he could send this misfit heiress on her way as soon as possible. In this whirlwind of intrigue, ambitions, and shifting alliances, Blythe yearns for someone she can trust. But the same forces that draw her and Everard together also threaten to tear them apart. This episode is a love letter dedicated to black women. It is my belief that the black woman is the glue that holds the community together. Although the black woman is the blueprint, she is ridiculed and berated by the media, society, the black community, as well as by other black women. It is the shared goal of myself and my guest Aspen Humes, to discuss the progress of modern black women and ways to uplift this dynamic community. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theafrocentricpodcast/message
Both journalist Charlotte Higgins and playwright David Greig are fascinated by the Roman occupation of Britain. Higgins's book Under Another Sky: Journeys in Roman Britain, an account of her travels to the Roman remains scattered about Britain, is really about how we today relate to Roman Britain. It seems an unlikely subject for a play but Greig has adapted it for the stage and they both talk to Samira Ahmed about the project. Did the Romans bring civilisation to these islands? Were they violent imperialists? Did British history really begin once they had left? And what of the society that was here already when the Romans arrived? Front Row celebrates the life of author and illustrator Raymond Briggs who has died aged 88. He became famous for his books The Snowman, Father Christmas, Fungus The Bogeyman and his parable of nuclear war When The Wind Blows – all of which were also made into films or TV programmes. American documentary maker Immy Humes has spent the last five years mining the archives for photographs of lone women in majority male environments, from 1862 to the present day, for her book The Only Woman. And British art historian Aindrea Emelife has also been mining the archives, searching for images of black women from 1793 to the present, for her exhibition Black Venus at the Fotografiska Gallery in New York. They join Samira to discuss issues of representation, tokenism and the female gaze in visual culture, past and present. BAFTA-winning writer and director Stefan Golaszewski talks to Samira about his upcoming BBC One Drama, Marriage, starring Sean Bean and Nicola Walker as a couple navigating the ups and downs of a 30-year relationship. Episode 96 continues the story of the autopsy. This episode summarizes the evidence points around the topic of whether the President's body arrived at Bethesda in a shipping casket. If that indeed did occur it would be evidence that the body was transferred at some point from the ceremonial bronze casket that it was originally placed in at Parkland in Trauma Room One. If true, this fact would open up the possibility that the body was tampered with to obscure the forensic evidence related to the autopsy. Our story today is based on Doug Horne's view on the existence of multiple caskets and the work he documented in his seminal volume IV of Inside the Assassination Records Review Board. There is much more to reveal, so join us in this 30th episode related to the autopsy and in this exciting series of episodes featuring the words and thoughts of Doug Horne. The United States House of Representatives Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) was established in 1976 to investigate the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. in 1963 and 1968, respectively Capt. James J. Humes, the lead prosector at the autopsy of President Kennedy. Humes publicly retracted the autopsy report's placement of the fatal entry wound, which the Medical Panel determined was 4 inches away from the originally-noted spot. In 1992 for the Journal of the American Medical Association, and again in 1996 before the Assassinations Record Review Board, Humes retracted this retraction --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/art-mcdermott/support
Episode 94 continues the story of the autopsy. This is part two of a multi-part episode series featuring James Jenkins who, along with Paul O'Connor, was one of the two autopsy technicians that helped to perform the autopsy of President Kennedy. Testimony from this witness is relatively rare, as Jenkins avoided the limelight of the JFK assassination. Found to be one of the most credible witnesses present that night, his recollections become integral in assessing the credibility of certain assertions. As Jenkins opens up, he allows us to learn much more about that night in 1963 at Bethesda. In this series of episodes, we now explore whether the president's body did indeed arrive at Bethesda in a shipping casket... or whether it arrived in the ceremonial casket that he left Parkland in...
