ODNI Director Tulsi Gabbard has just declassified the Biden administration's Strategic Implementation Plan for the National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism and what it reveals should alarm every American. In this episode of The P.A.S. Report Podcast, Professor Nick Giordano breaks down the newly released SIP and exposes how the federal government built an infrastructure to monitor, censor, and investigate ordinary Americans under the guise of countering domestic extremism. From vague definitions like “anti-government sentiment” to partnerships with Big Tech and mental health professionals, the SIP confirms what he argued: this framework was designed to be weaponized against political dissent. Professor Giordano explains how this system threatens civil liberties, how it could easily be turned against the Left under a future administration, and why immediate reforms are needed to dismantle the administrative state. Episode Highlights: How the declassified SIP proves the government's framework for targeting political opponents Why vague terms like “anti-authority sentiment” open the door to mass surveillance and censorship The danger of inverting this strategy under a future administration and why both parties should be alarmed

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Thursday the State Department has revoked 300 or more student visas, as the White House increasingly targets foreign-born students whose main transgression seems to be activism, in a drive to ethnically cleans free speech. Rubio warned that the administration was looking out for “these lunatics.” Around the country, scholars have been picked up, in some cases by masked immigration agents, and held in detention centers, sometimes a thousand miles from their homes with little warning and often with few details about why they were being detained. President Trump announced earlier in his second term that foreign students who engaged in illegal activity would be deported. Most people agreed with the policy. But then his Department of Homeland Security began showing up with masks on and in plainclothes to arrest and deport legal foreign students who broke no law but held views the Administration doesn't like. This is a slippery slope that will backfire on those who support it.
Mahmoud Kahlil was stolen from his home and arrested by ICE in the middle of the night - why? Because Trump and the pro-Zionist lobby in America decided to do so. He committed no crime. He was not charged with anything - this is an infringement on his First Amendment Rights, and a direct attack on anyone that speaks out against this Admin, and Israel. Boy do we get into it. Comment on the Show by Sending Mark a Text Message. This was case I tried to a jury verdict after six years of litigation. Ursula Milde was my client and she represented the grit and determination to do the right thing even if it meant risking her job. The whole case stemed from her need to liven up the lives of senior citizens in the assisted living center she ran by hiring a recreation coordinator. The senior citizens spent their whole days watching TV and had little interactive activities to do. During closing argument, I held up a dollar bill in front of the jury and said that is what it cost per day to hire a recreation coordinator. The jury was convinced and decided against the employer for violating Ms. Milde's freedom of speech rights. The defendant housing authority was a quasi public private company, hence the freedom of speech issue. This was a 2006 jury verdict yet the law is still the same today. This episode is part of my initiative to provide access to important court decisions impacting employees in an easy to understand conversational format using AI. The speakers in the episode are AI generated and frankly sound great to listen to. Enjoy!Prepare to dive deep into the complex world of workplace rights and free speech in this riveting episode! We follow the story of Ursula Milde, who bravely advocated for essential recreational services for seniors despite facing pushback from her employer. This episode examines her journey, the conflicts with her boss, Benjamin Little, and how her public statements led to a landmark legal battle concerning employee rights.Expect to uncover the intricacies of communication in the workplace, the fine line between employee rights and authority, and the challenges of navigating disputes in a professional setting. The discussion extends to the implications of a pivotal Supreme Court case, Garcetti v. Ceballos, which reshaped what it means to express oneself at work, and how it applies to Milde's scenario. As we analyze the legal considerations and social ramifications of Milde's case, we invite you to reflect on your own workplace experiences and the delicate balance between speaking up and obeying authority. This episode will leave you questioning what you would do in Milde's shoes and whether or not you would stand up for your beliefs, even in the face of significant risk. Join us as we explore these vital workplace themes—tune in, share your thoughts, and be part of this critical conversation! In this episode, we're talking about how America has real leadership again under Trump's administration, the importance of deporting illegal immigrants to restore law and order, and why we need to confirm RFK Jr. for the good of American health and wellbeing. We'll break down the policies that actually put America first, expose the chaos that's unfolded since, and discuss how we can push for real positive change for our country. We also need to focus on how we (desperately) need a separation of business and state.—https://noblegoldinvestments.com/invest/gold-ira/

Show notes: Of course on the day I posted my last episode the news broke about Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc. filing a Chapter 11 petition for bankruptcy, and TikTok went dark just before I could finish this episode. Earlier this week I sat down with my business major and comics fangirl wife Nicki to talk about how this all could affect the comics industry in both negative and positive ways. We speculate on the possible upcoming imposed tariffs from the incoming administration and what that might mean for the printing industry- especially those that do self-publishing and/or Kickstarter campaigns for comics and books. Just how could it affect the already inflated price of comics..?! We also discuss my days of self-publishing and dealings with Diamond, as well as news about new Barnes & Noble brick & mortar stores coming, and what is #BookTok and how it is used by book fans and retailers. We exercise our First Amendment Rights quite a bit and express our opinions on how the upcoming TikTok ban (or sale) can/will affect book sales and other businesses- especially smaller businesses and content creators. I also yell at my cat Lex for being a jerk...it happens. The news was constantly changing for Diamond and TikTok as I was editing and publishing this episode. I don't have a lot of faith in our government, foreign governments, social media companies, or corporations in general to do the right thing, but and all we can do right now is wait and see how it all plays out. 2025 is definitely going to be some concerning times for comics creators, publishers, distributors, retailers, and us fans. “Stay tooned!” (and read a book!) The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The rise of the term "disinformation" isn't about protecting people from lies but controlling what they see and know. It's the latest tool used by government and media to suppress inconvenient facts and manipulate public perception. Don't fall for it—disinformation is the modern version of political correctness, designed to control and silence the people.

John Fenley is running for Mayor of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He is an inventor and entrepreneur with a passion for science, and robotics. John is no stranger to conflict, with a history of standing up for his rights, and protesting injustice. He has been arrested twice in Pine Bluff for exercising his First Amendment Rights. John has some unique ideas about the role of government, the value of money, immigration, and the role of the US in global politics. He sees local red tape and regulation as one of the biggest challenges to our rights and freedoms.
There is a secret battle going on right now in Washington with our Government trying to give away our freedoms to a United Nation's Agency. We break down what the hell is going on. Dovetailing nicely John Kerry was nice enough to speak at the WEF and tell us our pesky First Amendment Rights are getting in their way. Last week a Congress member released numbers straight from Homeland Security of criminal illegals released into this and their crimes are mind blowing. Again, Trump was right. Speaking of illegals we have a knew one and it'll rip your face off and eat you. Seriously! Plus the Mailbag sparks conversation about Tim Walz and what is going on in space. We'll round out the show with Weird News that had Denton rolling.

First Amendment Rights or God-Given Rights? Are our First Amendment Rights merely constitutional, or are they biblical? When it comes to our citizenship, many see America as the greatest citizenry to which one can belong. As believers, however, we first belong to God, and this world is not our home―we have a higher standard given to us in the Word of God. In this message, Frank Figueroa will uncover what the Bible says concerning the Freedom of Speech and Religion. He will also address whether or not they are God-ordained principles in the believer's life. Summary of Chapter 11: First Amendment Rights. Chapter 11 delves into the fundamental protections provided under the First Amendment, which include freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, and the rights to association and assembly. These rights are critical to ensuring democratic participation, protecting individual expression, and maintaining a healthy balance between the government and the citizenry. Here's a breakdown of each section covered in the chapter: 11.1 Freedom of Speech. This section explores the historical and philosophical foundations of free speech, tracing its roots back to ancient Greece and the Enlightenment. The right to free speech is essential for democratic governance and the exchange of ideas. It covers: Protected Speech: Most speech, including political, artistic, and even offensive speech, is protected. Unprotected Speech: Categories like obscenity, defamation, incitement to violence, and fighting words are not protected. Symbolic Speech: Non-verbal actions conveying a message, like flag burning, are protected. Time, Place, and Manner Restrictions: The government may regulate when, where, and how speech is delivered, provided the restrictions are content-neutral. Hate Speech and Offensive Speech: Even hate speech is generally protected unless it incites violence or constitutes a true threat. Speech in Schools and Universities: While students and educators retain free speech rights, schools may limit speech that disrupts the educational process. Contemporary Issues: Free speech on social media platforms, political speech in campaign finance, and the debate over "cancel culture" are modern challenges to the boundaries of free speech. 11.2 Freedom of the Press. Freedom of the press safeguards the right of the media to report on government actions and inform the public. This section covers: Historical Context: From the press's role in colonial America to its modern-day function as a government watchdog. Scope of Press Freedom: Press freedom extends to all media forms, and prior restraint (government censorship before publication) is generally prohibited. Defamation and Libel: While the press is protected, it is not immune from lawsuits for false statements that harm individuals' reputations. Digital Press: The rise of online journalism and citizen reporting has reshaped press freedom and raised new challenges regarding accountability and misinformation. 11.3 Freedom of Religion: Establishment and Free Exercise Clauses. Religious freedom is protected by two key clauses of the First Amendment: The Establishment Clause: Prevents the government from endorsing or establishing any religion, maintaining a separation between church and state. Key Case – Engel v. Vitale: Reinforced that public institutions, such as schools, must remain neutral in religious matters. The Lemon Test: A three-part test developed to assess if government actions violate the Establishment Clause. The Free Exercise Clause: Protects individuals' rights to practice their religion without government interference, but not all religious practices are exempt from regulation. Key Case – Employment Division v. Smith: Established that neutral laws of general applicability do not violate the Free Exercise Clause, even if they burden religious practices. Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA): Reinstated stricter scrutiny on government actions that burden religious exercise. 11.4 Freedom of Association and Assembly. This section examines the importance of the rights to freely associate with others and to assemble peacefully: Freedom of Association: Protects the right to form and join groups such as political parties, unions, and advocacy organizations. Key Case – NAACP v. Alabama: Affirmed that forcing an organization to disclose its membership violates the freedom of association. Freedom of Assembly: Guarantees the right to gather for protests, demonstrations, and public expression. Key Case – De Jonge v. Oregon: Established --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/law-school/support

--- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/law-school/support

Representative Warren Davidson (R-OH) says our Bill of Rights is not a grant of rights but a limitation of government to take away our God-given rights, like free speech. “The reality is, most governments around the world aren't good governments. They don't defend freedom. They limit it,” he says. “And you look at the European Union sending threats to Elon Musk for having a televised interview with Donald Trump, how crazy is that. And now the CEO of a messaging platform, Telegram, lands his plane in France and he's detained, he's in jail right now because he's allowing people to speak.” Additional interview with former U.S. Representative Ann Marie Buerkle on her suspicion Vice President Kamala Harris will make Medicare for All her ultimate goal if elected president in November. On Tuesday, the Kids Online Safety Act passed with flying colors — as lawmakers echoed support for the bill's aim to protect children from dangerous content online and keep social media companies accountable. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), the two lawmakers who introduced the bill, discuss their reaction to the bill passing with an overwhelming 91 to 3 vote despite deep divisions on Capitol Hill, how they believe the legislation could save lives, and their response to concerns that the bill targets First Amendment Rights. The lawmakers also share their thoughts on this week's joint Senate hearing examining the security failures that led to the assassination attempt on former President Trump. On July 15, the Pacific Legal Foundation asked the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals to reverse a lower court ruling in California that said elementary school students have no First Amendment rights. A six year old called B.B. in Capistrano Unified School District in Southern California was introduced to the phrase “Black Lives Matter” in her first-grade class during a lesson about Martin Luther King, Jr. After the lesson, the child drew a picture and wrote “Black Lives Mater (sic),” added “any life,” and gave the picture to her classmate. The school forced B.B. to apologize for her “racist” drawing, banned her from recess for two weeks, and even banned her from drawing pictures for friends. B.B.'s parents were never informed about the incident and found out years later. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

This week, Ken and Grant are joined by Elizabeth Woning. Elizabeth Woning is the founder of CHANGED. Here is a snapshot of her history. I "came out" in my early 20s and attended a Presbyterian Church (USA) seminary openly lesbian after questioning my sexuality for several years. As a student in seminary between 2000 and 2003, I lobbied for marriage and ordination of LGTBQ individuals and ministered among gay youth, espousing a theology that embraced homosexuality. Upon graduating, I served as a youth pastor in a small rural community, where an encounter with Jesus radically shifted my perspective. The love of God drew me into a revelation that led to repentance and healing. I married my husband, Doug, in 2005. I co-founded the CHANGED Movement, a network of men and women who have walked away from LGBTQ identity. In addition to member support, the CHANGED Movement works with legislators and think tanks to protect the First Amendment Rights of all those seeking freedom from LGBTQ culture and its social labels. I hold a Master's in Theology and am completing my Doctor of Ministry degree in New Testament Theology at Houston Theological Seminary at Houston Christian University in Texas. I am a licensed pastor and teach emerging leaders at Bethel Church's School of Ministry in Redding, California. Recent protests at universities across the country pushed the boundaries of free speech, and outcomes for protestors were varied, to say the least. The world of academia encourages the free exchange of ideas, but some protest actions prompted police involvement, disciplinary action by universities, student expulsions, and even the loss of career opportunities for graduates. As a law student, what do you need to understand about these events as interpreted through our existing legal frameworks? Professor Roy Gutterman joins Chay, Leah, and Professor Berger to offer his expertise on First Amendment rights and the interplay of civil protests and the law.

Protect speech, punish violence. True supporters of the First Amendment oppose government suppression of free speech even if the speech is abhorrent. But when does free speech cross the line – or can “hate speech” even exist without violent actions? As college students at Columbia, UCLA & UT Austin rally around the Israel / Palestine conflict, First Amendment attorney Harmeet Dhillon pledges to defend the rights of “jack**s terrorist apologists to protest” until they target students for their ethnicity or become violent. What should happen to the students who vandalized Hamilton Hall – and how does the state's response affect the free speech rights of everyone else? In this episode of Passing Judgment, Jessica Levinson dives deep into the legal intricacies surrounding protests on college campuses, specifically addressing First Amendment protections and relevant federal laws. By discussing these themes, Jessica Levinson aims to provide a legal framework for understanding the complexities of First Amendment protections and other related legal aspects in the context of college protests, influenced by ongoing events like the war in Gaza but strictly from a legal perspective, avoiding political discussions. Join us as Jessica provides a thorough legal framework to help us understand these complex dynamics, setting the stage for informed discussions on rights, responsibilities, and the reach of the law in educational settings. Here are three key takeaways you don't want to miss:1️⃣ First Amendment Protections in Protests: The episode delves into how the First Amendment ensures robust protection for speech and expressive conduct during protests. 2️⃣ Limitations on Speech: While the First Amendment offers broad protections, there are permissible limitations. Levinson explains that these restrictions must be content-neutral—applied uniformly regardless of the speaker's identity or viewpoint and should ideally serve a legitimate purpose like ensuring safety, without being a pretext for suppressing undesirable viewpoints.3️⃣ Federal Laws Impacting Protests: Levinson addresses how the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (particularly Title 6) intersects with campus protests. Actions during protests that discriminate based on race, color, or national origin, or that disrupt educational opportunities for these groups, might constitute violations under Title 6.Follow Our Host:On Threads: @LevinsonJessica

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (01/26/2024): 3:05pm- Earlier this week, in a 5 to 4 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court determined that the Biden Administration has the authority to remove concertina wire erected by Texas officials along the U.S. Southern border—designed to prevent the unlawful border crossings that continue to plague the state. According to reports, Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) has continued to place “razor wire” along the border—arguing that the Supreme Court may have authorized the federal government to remove the wiring, but he remains legally permitted to use the wire when he deems it necessary. In response to Abbott's actions, several Democrat congressmembers have publicly called on the Biden Administration to “federalize” the Texas National Guard, ultimately preventing Abbott from securing his state's border. 3:10pm- During a Friday afternoon press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked if the American people should be “prepared for the situation on the border to get worse.” In response, she said she was unable to predict the future. 3:20pm- While appearing on Fox News with Dana Perino and Bill Hemmer, Governor Greg Abbott defended his placement of concertina wire along the U.S. Southern border, exclaiming: “Texas has a right, as a state, to stop criminals from coming into our state.” 3:30pm- White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre accused Texas Governor Greg Abbott's policies of “making it harder for Border Patrol to do their jobs.” 3:40pm- During a recent MSNBC broadcast, Joy Reid ridiculously compared enforcing the U.S. Southern border to prevent mass-unlawful immigration to segregation. While these proclamations play well with the radical left, are they going to win over any moderate Democrats or independents in an election year? Consequently, could the Biden Administration's policies to appease progressives destroy President Biden's reelection chances? 3:50pm- During a press conference earlier this week, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called on the federal government to ban Zyn nicotine pouches and energy drinks. In response, Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) said he would not support a product ban, arguing that he will always be “on the side of more freedom” and “personal choice.” 4:05pm- Earlier this week, in a 5 to 4 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court determined that the Biden Administration has the authority to remove concertina wire erected by Texas officials along the U.S. Southern border—designed to prevent the unlawful border crossings that continue to plague the state. According to reports, Gov. In response to Abbott's actions, several Democrat congressmembers have publicly called on the Biden Administration to “federalize” the Texas National Guard, ultimately preventing Abbott from securing his state's border. While speaking with Tucker Carlson on the social media platform X, Gov. Abbott said he is not seeking a conflict with federal authorities over the border, but he will continue to protect his state from unlawful migration. 4:15pm- While appearing on a podcast, Arizona Senate candidate Kari Lake encouraged Texas Governor Greg Abbott to secure the border and dare the Biden Administration to “arrest a sitting governor.” However, as Rich notes, Gov. Abbott is not violating the Supreme Court's decision nor is he violating federal law. What could he even be arrested for? 4:30pm- Dr. Victoria Coates— Former Deputy National Security Advisor & the Vice President of the Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy at The Heritage Foundation—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the revelation that United Nations workers may have helped Hamas execute their October 7th, 2023 attack against Israel which left an estimated 1,400 Israeli citizens dead. HelloWelcome to Life Points with Ronda, the podcast that helps you navigate life's challenges with practical wisdom and actionable advice. where we discuss important topics that affect our everyday lives. Today, I'm speaking to the collective and we have a very emotional topic at least for me as this very topic is affecting someone I care very deeply about, and so I must discuss it. our topic for today is: A Detour Into Justice: The Trial of YSL and the Disparity of First Amendment Rights Part 1As a content creator who usually navigates the intimate intricacies of relationships on 'Life Points with Ronda,' I find myself compelled to take a momentary detour. Though it's a departure from my customary topics, the issue at hand is one that's impossible to ignore. It's a matter that challenges our understanding well at least my understanding of justice, freedom of speech, and racial equity. Today, we're going to talk about the trial of the hip-hop group YSL (Young Stoner Life), and the implications it holds for all of us.I have been following this trial closely, not because I want to speculate on YSL's guilt or innocence, but because of the disturbing trend it reveals. The use of the group's lyrics as evidence in a court of law raises significant concerns about the freedom of artistic expression and how it is applied differently across genres and, more importantly, across racial lines. When we look at the music landscape, we see a diverse array of genres, each with unique styles, themes, and narratives. Whether it's the melancholic strains of a country song or the rebellious riffs of rock music, each genre offers its own brand of storytelling. However, what we don't see is country music, rock, or any genre other than hip-hop being put on trial because of their lyrics. This disparity is not just about music. It's about how the First Amendment's protection of freedom of speech is applied and who it protects. It's about the normalization of racial disparities in our judicial system, and how these disparities extend even into the realm of artistic expression. As we delve into this topic, let's remember that it's not about pointing fingers at guilt or innocence. Instead, it's about addressing the larger, systemic issues that this trial brings to light. It's about starting a conversation that challenges these disparities, promotes equal rights, and values all forms of artistic expression, irrespective of genre or the color of the artist's skin.In the world of hip-hop, often the narrative is a reflection of the artist's lived reality, an unfiltered lens into their lives, their struggles, and their triumphs. It's a world where lyrics have been used to build identities, create connections, and even to stimulate discourse on social issues. But, what happens when these lyrics are used as evidence in a court of law, as seen in the recent trial of the hip-hop group YSL (Young Stoner Life)? Does it challenge the First Amendment? And, more importantly, does the First Amendment apply equally to everyone, regardless of color?First, let's frame the issue at hand. The First Amendment of the United States Constitution guarantees freedom of speech, stating that "Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech." It is a vital part of the democratic ethos, giving individuals the right to express their opinions freely. But the application of this right becomes a contentious issSupport the showhttps://chat.openai.com/g/g-8E47AuJfB-life-points-assistanthttps://FaceBook.com/Lifepointswithronda1https://youtube.com/@lifepointswithronda2968https://TikTok.com/@lifepointswithrondahttps://Instagram.com/@lifepointswithrondahttps://Patreon.com/@lifepointswithrondahttps://Lifepointswithronda.com
