We go on to talk about conscious creation and the responsibility that comes with it, and dive deeper into an exploration of Sex Magic as an infusion of deep love, awareness, and spirituality coupled with conscious creation, where we learn to move primal sexual energy through our chakras, alchemise old beliefs and patterns that no longer serve, and ultimately work on raising the frequency and vibration on our planet. That includes destinations Abel Tasman National Park, Waitomo Caves, and Tekapo, and is expected to generate $50 million in advertising value. It's a cross-promotion for locally-filmed ‘The Minecraft Movie'. Tourism New Zealand Marketing Manager Brodie McLeish told Mike Hosking the pack is available to the game's 170-million monthly users. She says the Kiwi sites are free for all to download and engage with. McLeish says it aims to encourage people to play the game, then come and travel around New Zealand for real. What are we observing versus what are we supposed to see, in other words, how (and how much) is dogma directing our interpretations? We explore this concept this month when we delve into Duncan McLeish's PhD work on the transport and deposition of gold at the Brucejack Deposit (Canada). In a world where aqueous complexation has long been considered the only viable means of transporting gold to depositional sites in hydrothermal ore-forming systems, Duncan et al. found that rejecting dogma was of the utmost importance. For example, a major weakness of the Au transport in solution hypothesis is that it cannot readily explain the formation of ultrahigh-grade gold veins when transporting Au at ppb levels. ...so how do “bonanza” veins contain weight-percent levels of gold in some epithermal and orogenic deposits? ...what are colloids and flocculation? ...why is this research both exciting and important? All this and more in this episode! Put on your thinking caps, it's time to listen to some applied chemistry, economic geology and a little bit of philosophy. For this episode we read "Colloidal transport and flocculation are the cause of the hyperenrichment of gold in nature" by McLeish et al., 2021. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/geochemistea/support
The Reserve Bank recently increased the Official Cash Rate by a record 75 basis points as it tries to engineer a recession to fight the highest inflation in more than 30 years. But is bashing the economy into submission with its big, blunt monetary policy tool the best approach? To probe this and more I spoke with David McLeish, Head of Fixed Income at Fisher Funds Management, in the latest episode of our Of Interest podcast.McLeish argues that monetary policy is largely focused on demand issues when supply issues are behind most of the current inflationary pressures. He also says he's quite optimistic about the alleviation of these inflationary pressures, arguing there are lots of reasons he can already point to as evidence monetary policy has done its job.McLeish also explains why he's skeptical about whether inflation expectations set inflation, talks about the role of government fiscal policy in the current economic environment, the difficulty of setting interest rates by looking in the rear vision mirror for an economy that's six, 12, or 18 months into the future, the distorted labour market, and much more.
Pleasure to be joined by Andrew Simpson of The Ibrox Channel Podcast to look back on the period of 2003-06 when after Alex McLeish led his Rangers side to a domestic treble, the side was broken up which led to a disastrous season. Also we look at the remarkable season of 2004-05 which saw the most remarkable title win in the club's history and the season after with despite Alex McLeish being the first manager to lead Rangers to the last-16 of the Champions League, domestic form was woeful which eventually led to the end of McLeish's time as manager. Join us every week with a new episode of CHRONICLE: The Rangers Journey as we look back in detail of the situation at the club on and off the field from 1988 when Rangers were taken over by businessman David Murray all the way till 2021 when Steven Gerrard clinched the club's historic 55th league title. If ever I've met a person so inspirational in their approach to creating a life they love against a backdrop that would challenge anyone's resilience, Becca is she. A high school dropout and a late bloomer, Becca qualified in her late 40s and said reaching midlife was the point her life opened up as she tuned into her inner rebel and lived for her, when society would have had her believe it was the beginning of the downwards slope. Becca, aka The Rebel Hypnotist, is a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and Positive Psychology Coach and if nothing else, she hopes she's proof that you get to create a life you love; at any age and with any history. Becca helps her clients break the 'rules' and live life on their terms, by shifting their perspective on the things that are keeping them stuck. Reprogramming their limiting beliefs to a more supportive internal narrative and highlighting their values, strengths and abilities to move forward and create lasting change. “When we don't tell kids what is happening around them, they are going to imagine what is going on” - Andrea WarnickIn today's episode, Shanice McLeish Author of Grief On The Playground and Founder of Grieving It discussed her passion to “Normalize Grief” one conversation at a time. Shanice and her families life was forever changed when she was only 8 years old when they received the devastating news of her fathers death. Death is the one thing we all have in common and the one thing most of us wish NEVER to discuss. More and more we are realizing thankfully to Shanice that it is one of the MOST important conversations we need to have not only as adults, but with our children. Shanice said her business “Serves as a safe place for people to share their mourning and lean into their grief journey”. Today's guest, author and founder of Grieving It Shanice McLeish, joins me to talk about losing her father at 8 years old and how that helped to inspire her new children's book. Grief on the Playground is a story which takes you on a ride through the 'grief rollercoaster'. Grief on the Playground is necessary for all children who have lost someone they loved. Readers all around confirm Grief on the Playground is a great tool for coping with the loss of a parent, sibling, friend, or pet. The picture book should be used as an aid to help children and adults talk about this very tough subject. The same day this episode airs, it will be available at all your major online booksellers. Go buy a copy! Shanice was an absolute joy to talk to. I'm putting instructions for a dead yard in my will as we speak. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/welostagoodone/message
Evan McLeish is a real estate investor out of Prince George, BC, where he has been investing in real estate for almost 7 years. He got his start with a fixer-upper, a long-term principal residence turned flip that taught him the power of real estate, as he was able to purchase a turn-key rental property and start a new principal residence project using the proceeds from his first sale. Recognizing that real estate investing was a good path for him, he continued the process of moving into a principal residence, fixing it up, putting in a basement suite, refinancing the property with long-term renters in place, and moving on to the next house. By completing 6 BRRRs (Buy-Renovate-Refinance-Rent) in Prince George while simultaneously working his job at the pulp mill in Quesnel, Evan was able to build up his asset base in real estate and make sound financial decisions to the point of making the choice to leave his job in February of this year. Now with the added time he has joined forces with a couple other investors he met in a real estate mastermind group to form NSE Real Estate, a real estate investing firm focused on partnering up with passive investors to invest in multi-family buildings across Canada. In our conversation with Evan we discuss: Getting started with zero real estate experience Learning how to renovate to add value to residential homes by leaning on those with more experience The power of delayed gratification Becoming a real estate investor and developing an investor mindset How Evan funded and completed his BRRR projects - the key tactics to successful BRRRs Doug goes on a tangent about doing what it takes to get where you want to go (you must put in the time)! Why the "how" of real estate investing doesn't matter if you don't really want to do the work Evan's take on quitting your job - recognizing when it's time to leave, what to do in the lead up to leaving, and being prepared Figuring out "what's next" after achieving a long-term goal, like leaving a job Making the jump from residential renovations to purchasing multi-family properties Who Not How for real estate investing and life Final words of wisdom: picking one thing to focus on and get out of your own way Thank you to Evan for joining us on the show! Most people would be happy to get one good horse in their life, well how about Cameron McLeish's luck? His first three horses as an owner are Krone, Ayrton and Profiteer. Unbelievable
After losing her father at the age of 8, Shanice McLeish was set on a journey to understand grief. As a teenager, she got involved with Cate's Place, a non-profit organization helping kids who have lost a sibling, parent or primary caregiver. In working with the children at Cate's Place she became aware of the fact that she hadn't grieved the loss of her father. She then started Grieving It with the goal of normalizing conversations about grief. She now has a children's book coming out on September 1st, Grief on the Playground.
