Henry Hill is the deputy editor of the Conservative Home website. He discusses the growing trend of partisan news channels, regulation, funding models, impartiality, political interviews and Conservative attitudes to the BBC and BBC reform.“If support for the BBC on the right collapses, whether you think that that collapse is justified or not, whether you think the criticisms are justified or not, it then becomes regardless of that, very difficult to justify having a corporation and a broadcaster with all of those privileges. So, it's really important for those of us on the right who support the BBC to try and get Conservatives to engage seriously with the question of ‘okay, this is a really important principle, whatever our criticism of the BBC, what do what do we want it to look like?'.”Support the podcast by signing up here Find all our podcasts here @BeebRoger@RogerBolton@mastodonapp.ukemail: roger@rogerboltonsbeebwatch.com Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast. Simon McCoy was known as a regular presenter on BBC Breakfast, News 24 and latterly the BBC News at One. Before joining the BBC he was also royal correspondent at Sky in the early nineties covering the break down of Diana and Charles' marriage. After 17 years at the corporation Simon joined GB news for just under a year in 2021. We discuss royal coverage, impartiality, GB News, Richard Sharp's position as BBC chair and the merger of the BBC's two news channels."When the BBC is under such pressure, when you're talking about an institution which people in their hearts do care about, but see daily a lowering of standards, and then you're watching a domestic news channel, and it is a domestic news channel overnight coming from Singapore from Washington - and I'll be pilloried for this - but with no British accents on it. You've got BBC licence fee payers paying for that. I think there is going to be a problem with that."Support the podcast by signing up hereFind all our podcasts here @BeebRoger@RogerBolton@mastodonapp.ukemail: roger@rogerboltonsbeebwatch.com Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast. The News on the Internet, on Cable News and on traditional News Channels is very evil. The Bible warns us that there will be “very difficult times” in the ‘Last Days'. Yes, I believe we are in the last days and the world is soon to feel God's wrath during the ‘Great Tribulation' mentioned in Rev 7:14. This short update video is intended to make you aware of a few of the evil things happening daily. We need to pray that God will end the evilness on earth and rescue His children.

On Cock & Bull this Tuesday, we are joined Ayushi Amin, Amit Doshi and Silverie (Antariksh). Why has Amit been absent from the podcast for the last 15 days? Is Silverie not giving spots becoming a controversy on the show? They also discuss Cyrus' attire today, how wearing formals changes your demeanor, and more. They move forward to the topics for the day - how two big fights a month are important to have a happy marriage according to research, and other means of staying happy as a couple, whether putting your wet towel on the bed can lead to fights in a marriage, and whether it is necessary to clean the bottom of a plate after eating from it. Plus, they discuss a study that suggests that women are less likely to be corrupt compared to men, and how all our news channels seem to be claiming that they are no. 1 after the release of this year's TRP ratings by the BARC. News, like daily soap, has become customer centric and in doing so has lost credibility, says one part of the society. News channels are reliable and are far more credible than social media gossips, say another. Are Stories and incidents diluted to cater the needs of viewers which would result in higher Television Rating Point, popularly known as TRP? Or are news channels reliable and show stories after exploring various aspects of it?
