This episode shifts to a serious analysis of global politics, with Iran taking center stage. Here, the conversation unraveled the intricate details of US foreign policy under Trump, with a specific focus on the controversial agreement with Iran. The complexities of international relations were laid bare, as the dialogue critiqued the motivations behind political actions, questioning the narrative spun by mainstream media. A broader cultural debate emerged as the discussion turned towards representation in media, particularly concerning black identity. The critique of black British actors portraying African American roles ignited a debate on authenticity and cultural ownership. Drawing from examples of renowned actors, the conversation examined how cultural nuances and historical context impact the portrayal of black narratives in media. A thoughtful examination of the civil rights movement highlighted its foundational role in securing rights not just for African Americans, but for all immigrants in the United States. This segment emphasized the importance of acknowledging black historical narratives in contemporary discourse, urging for an inclusion of this history in citizenship education to foster broader understanding and respect. Concluding their conversation, Jasiri X and Saïd reiterated the importance of understanding historical struggles to navigate the present effectively. They emphasized that knowledge of history can empower contemporary movements, advising listeners to study the past to better understand and influence current socio-political dynamics. This Week In White Supremacy continues to provide a platform for insightful and critical discussions, balancing humor, and seriousness to tackle pertinent cultural and political issues. 1HOOD's vibrant conversations serve to enlighten and engage audiences, encouraging broader awareness and action against injustice. The conversation begins on a rather unexpected note with the public's reaction to prominent figures attending high-profile events. The recent incident involving Donald Trump's appearance at the NBA finals highlights a recurring theme—the influence of wealth and privilege. Trump's presence, far from being a benign visit, became a spectacle, inconveniencing attendees and igniting public backlash. His attendance and the subsequent media coverage serve as a microcosm of how affluent individuals can shape public narratives, often overshadowing broader community interests. Also touched upon is the pervasive issue of wealth inequality and its impact on public life. The conversation critiques how billionaire influence disrupts societal norms, with particular focus on Donald Trump's presidency and the so-called "pardon scheme." The discourse draws a stark picture of systemic inequity, highlighting the detrimental effects of giving the wealthy unrestricted influence over public decisions. This topic segues into Trump's critique of the current state of affairs, including his administration's failures and the broader implications of wealth-centric governance on democracy. The multifaceted nature of this episode paints a vivid picture of the current sociopolitical climate. It underscores the necessity for public vigilance, the demand for media accountability, and the unwavering pursuit of equitable governance. As we navigate this terrain, it's vital to understand the nuances of these complex issues and seek solutions that foster inclusivity, integrity, and justice in our public and private spheres. In a world rife with gaslighting and half-truths, maintaining a clear focus on factual discourse and responsible journalism remains more crucial than ever. The insights captured in this dialogue serve as a reminder of the work still needed to bridge societal divides and pave the way for a more equitable future. The Supreme Court's recent gutting of the Voting Rights Act serves as a stark reminder that the fight for racial equity in America is far from over. The dismantling of this crucial piece of legislation has paved the way for states like Louisiana and Tennessee to aggressively attempt to re-draw district lines, in a bid to suppress Black voters and diminish their congressional representation. Tennessee, for instance, not only attempted to eliminate Black congressional districts but also received a special push from Donald Trump to expedite these changes. The aim: bolster congressional seats favorable to a Republican stronghold amidst Trump's dwindling popularity. This act of political gerrymandering mirrors the dark era of Jim Crow laws and signals a concerted effort to stifle Black political power. Meanwhile, on the national stage, economic tensions rise as Americans grapple with inflation and rising costs. President Trump's flippant dismissal of these concerns—stating he doesn't consider Americans' financial situations during international negotiations—further alienates him from the struggles of everyday citizens. This stark admission highlights a disconnect and prioritization of power politics over the immediate economic well-being of the populace. As the landscape shifts, it is imperative for marginalized communities to remain vigilant and engaged. Advocacy for policies that protect voter rights, economic justice, and racial equality must continue to be at the forefront of political discourse. This involves supporting progressive candidates who champion these issues and rejecting those whose agendas perpetuate systemic racism. In closing, remember: history shows us that progress is possible when communities unify against injustice. Let us remain intrepid and informed, striving for a future where equity and equality are not just ideals, but realities. It's up to all of us to ensure that the momentum for justice is not lost, but rather carried forward with renewed vigor and hope. America has always been described as an "experiment," a term that seems eerily fitting given the current state of affairs. The reality is, America's narrative of success has long been plagued by a tendency to overlook its more nefarious undercurrents—underpinnings of bravado, boasting, and, oftentimes, ignorance about the consequences of decisions made at the top. The latest military “excursions” and political gaffes spell confusion and concern, particularly amongst those considering America as a bastion of democracy and leadership. A central theme of the ongoing chaos is the bold moves by former President Donald Trump, whose policies and decisions appear to be more akin to a board game rather than a strategy impacting millions of lives. Simultaneously, Black culture and voices are navigating their space within this whirlwind. Amid this geopolitical mess, questions arise: Will Iran be more open to diplomacy, or are we staring down an unyielding path to conflict? The cacophony of voices arguing over military strategy only amplifies the uncertainty. Meanwhile, political rhetoric, reminiscent of war propaganda, permeates the airwaves, justifying every action under the pretense of national interest. Americans are burdened by skyrocketing prices and diminishing economic prospects, as political leaders proclaim short-term pain for long-term gain, the question remains: What about those who won't survive this so-called short term? The juxtaposition of war and economic strain reveals a society struggling with its priorities. In a world that values the art of conversation, we find ourselves leaning into the raw, unfiltered exchanges of voices on the frontlines of cultural clashes of systemic oppression. This episode brings authentic insights to this harsh reality.Imagine The conversation.White supremacy acting as a suffocating blizzard, freezing progress and creating treacherous conditions for everyone brave enough to resist getting stuck in the crossfire of political disenfranchisement. 1HOOD goes straight for the jugular squarely landing with a harsh critique of ICE, a rouge institution wielding power like a nightstick, cracking down on the Twin City, Minneapolis, with drudged impunity. The chilling reality? Communities are being occupied under the guise of law and order. Mirroring the tactics of Hitler-esque, 1945 fascism, as the Trumpian government's iron fist extends its reach under false pretenses, igniting global fear and chaos.Let's be direct: there's no sugarcoating the fact that “perpetual occupation” is a tool for stripping away humanity. When vital rights are hijacked by force and deceit, communities are left grappling with the aftermath—a broken system that leaves everyone in its wake in shock, protest, or dead like the recent ICE killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti.Pivoting slightly, but no less impactful, we examine the duality of influence. Kanye's recent apology through a Wall Street Journal ad is a play to reclaim what fame overshadowed. The timing is suspect, given his notorious spiral. But is there sincerity buried within his PR move? Or is it a strategic step—a lifeline—thrown in the competitive sea of relevancy?1HOOD lightly questions if Kanye's provocative spotlight antics echo through culture, painting a vivid discourse on repentance. The question remains: is the world ready to embrace redemption from a man who once mobilized the masses through divisive, racially divisive rhetoric?Leave us a real honest review.Let's us know how you really feel about what went down on This Week In White Supremacy! Welcome back to This Week In White Supremacy, a podcast that has become both exhausting and essential. Each week, 1HOOD painstakingly sift through current events to uncover the pressing issues within white supremacy, often feeling like the discussions could span a daily show or a five-hour special. In this episode, 1HOOD debated whether Trump embodies “God's punishment” and explored the complexities surrounding his controversial actions in his attempt to takeover Greenland, and his grifting of the Nobel Peace Prize from María Corina Machado of Venezuela.A major talking point was the increasing influence and violent actions of ICE. Many argue that ICE should be abolished due to its role in terrorizing communities under the guise of national security. It was noted that, historically, significant immigration policy shifts have occurred, but the violence and terror associated with ICE are new and alarming. In the era of misinformation, journalists have become crucial in disseminating the truth. The podcast highlighted a specific instance where Don Lemon, while reporting on a peaceful protest against ICE, found himself facing legal issues under The Klan Act. This reflects the broader systemic challenges and attempts to suppress journalism.Ultimately, 1HOOD advocates for direct action, suggesting general strikes and boycotts to resist fascism emphasizing the need for community organizing and transformative justice to dismantle oppressive systems worldwide. This Week In White Supremacy 1HOOD begins by tackling the recent Turning Point USA's America Fest, a gathering criticized for its lineup of guest speeches, including JD Vance's claim that "you don't have to apologize for being white anymore" which prompts a serious discussion on victimhood and the false narratives that some politicians promote to appeal to their constituents as extreme rhetoric that seeks to create an illusion of oppression among the white demographic that's historically dominated political and economic spheres in the U.S.Said and Miracle share personal anecdotes, highlighting the ridiculousness of the notion that white people have ever needed to apologize for their race. They assert that realms of power remain predominantly led by white individuals, painting any claims of widespread discrimination or oppression against them as unfounded. On a lighter but equally critical note, the conversation shifts to Nicki Minaj's surprising appearance at the America Fest, positioning herself alongside conservative figures. Her actions are scrutinized as a betrayal of her roots and initial supporter base, especially the LGBTQ+ community that played a vital role in her rise to fame. The hosts express concern that her current stance undermines her authenticity and alienates a once-loyal fan base.Another focal point is the media's role in propagating certain narratives, as discussed in a controversial decision made by Barry Weiss. As new editor-in-chief of CBS News, Weiss halted a critical segment on 60 Minutes about a harsh El Salvador prison housing deportees. This move, following consultation with the Trump administration for more input, has sparked debate over free press and media manipulation and the rising trend of billionaires buying media outlets, likening the situation to state-controlled media. 1HOOD argues this manipulation is indicative of a broader trend to control information and suppress dissenting voices, creating a pseudo-democratic landscape where journalistic freedom is compromised. As the conversation wraps, hosts emphasize the need for solidarity and awareness amidst rising inequalities and divisive rhetoric. They call for audiences to recognize manipulation tactics used by those in power and offer support to movements dedicated to justice and equality. The episode serves as a reminder of the pervasive influence of white supremacy and the media's role in shaping societal views. Welcome back to another edition of "This Weekend in White Supremacy," where we dissect the multifaceted and often harsh realities of modern America. As black individuals and immigrants in America, the group discusses feeling the chilling effects of living within a system entrenched in white supremacy. Much of the discussion centers around the enigmatic and controversial figure of former President Donald Trump; reflecting on his statements and their implications for communities of color, particularly Somali-Americans. This includes his recent "garbage" criticisms of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, which sparked significant discontent and fear among Minnesota's immigrant communities. Miracle passionately emphasizes the importance of supporting the Somali community and other marginalized communities in the face of hateful rhetoric. As a country, the responsibility falls on all of us to dismantle systems that create refugees and to embrace those seeking safety and a better life. And then there is the pervasive theme of affordability—once ironically deemed a “Democratic hoax” by Trump, despite his original (now flip-flopping) campaign promises. The cost of living, from the price of groceries to housing, continues to soar, exacerbating the struggles of regular Americans who yell tales of grocery bills that break the bank while the weakest links, Democrat leaders, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries fail to tackle the issues facing the working class and impoverished communities. The strain is compounded by rising healthcare costs and insufficient government response.Domestically, the rising cost of living, reflected in escalating healthcare premiums and food scarcity, underscores the urgency of informed and compassionate governance. Public sentiment reveals disillusionment with traditional figures who seemingly prioritize political maneuvering over genuine solutions. In a poignant display of authenticity, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro conveyed his frustrations over these debilitating circumstances. His impassioned appeal highlights the dire need for leaders who not only understand but also feel the weight of their policy choices. Shapiro's words resonated widely, reminding us of the critical importance of leaders who genuinely strive to serve their constituents.Globally, political alliances and decisions continue to ripple through the international community. Donald Trump's interactions with foreign leaders like the President of Syria, who was once considered an adversary, bring questions of diplomatic motivations and the long-term effects on global relations. These actions further complicate the domestic landscape, as the focus shifts from internal needs to international strategies. This episode opens with a light examination of vigilance and what's at stake in the fight against white supremacy. Jasiri and Saïd banter about the intricacies of being vigilant in today's society, and the duo quickly pivot to the real difficulties of defeating age-old prejudices entrenched in civilization.Looking yet again through the lens of scrutinizing Donald Trump's recent actions and communications, 1HOOD unpacks the controversy surrounding Trump's mental acuity test, often being mistaken for an IQ test, leaving the door open for implications and murmurings about alleged dementia. In the light of Trump's broader public image and political maneuvers this would be most devestating. The dialogue shifts sharply to the topic of old people running America's government questioning why people keep voting for elderly candidates in their 80s and 90s, and why older people continue to hold significant influence over the policies that shape younger contemporary lives and future generations.Jasiri highlights the irony of Republican policies severely hurting their predominantly white voter base pointing out the dissonance between political promises and economic realities with the impending fallout from SNAP benefit shutoffs affecting everyday lives, especially in low income white communities. The conversation concludes with the significance of Zoran Mamdani's campaign for Mayor of New York enraging billionaire's to spend heavily to stop him showing that grappling with white supremacy is not a simple task but one that requires community solidarity, continuous education, and an unwavering commitment to justice and equality. As always, cultural topics took center stage with an extended discussion about Bad Bunny's rise in prominence and his anticipated Super Bowl halftime performance. 1HOOD expressed enthusiasm for how Bad Bunny challenges language and cultural barriers, especially within an American context that often prioritizes English and monolingualism. The conversation expanded to broader themes of identity and inclusivity in music, highlighted by Bad Bunny's influence on Puerto Rico's economy and social activism.A significant portion of the episode was dedicated to reflecting on the life and passing of Assata Shakur celebrating her as a symbol of resistance and empowerment, particularly for Black women. Assata's story was upheld as a powerful reminder of past struggles and a call to action against current injustices, reinforcing the necessity of protecting and uplifting Black political prisoners who continue to fight for equity and justice with resolve and determination. The political discourse took an intense turn as this podcast dissected the chaotic state of current American politics. We begin this episode of This Week In Whit Supremacy by addressing the issue of free speech and its current standing in the United States. The examples of Jimmy Kimmel and Charlie Kirk brought into focus how free speech is often wielded selectively. Kimmel's return to television highlighted the power of collective action, as many celebrities rallied around him, pressuring networks to reinstate his show. However, this level of support and outcry is not always present when it comes to defending lower class voices. The selective application of the free speech principle raises questions about whose voices are deemed worthy of protection and advocacy.A significant portion of our discussion centers around the hypocrisy displayed by certain political figures, particularly former President Donald Trump. Trump has been outspoken in his criticism of those who oppose him, calling them enemies and traitors while simultaneously portraying himself as a champion of free speech. This prompted us to examine the double standards at play, where individuals in positions of power employ inflammatory rhetoric yet demand reverence and silence from their critics.A key takeaway from the conversation is the importance of recognizing intersectionality in activism. 1HOOD emphasizes that issues of racism, sexism, and religious discrimination are often interconnected, especially when it comes to the vilification of Black and Muslim communities. This calls for a united front among all marginalized groups to push back against oppressive narratives and policies. This podcast episode was a thought-provoking exploration of the contradictions and challenges in today's political and social landscape. It calls for a deeper commitment to activism and solidarity among diverse communities, encouraging listeners to stay informed and active in their pursuit of a more just society. --To help us build liberated communities through arts, education, and social justice visit our website 1hood.org to purchase your official 1HOOD apparel or consider making a tax-deductible donation to 1Hood Media. --WATCH THE SHOW: youtube.com/@twiws--FOLLOW 1HOOD youtube.com/@1hoodfacebook.com/1hoodmediainstagram.com/1hoodmediax.com/1hood--About:This Week In White Supremacy is the 1Hood podcast discussing the cultural effects and weekly injustices surrounding white supremacy; through intelligent, insightful commentary and often comedic conversations this podcast is geared towards adults who want to digest the latest news and events with humor and Hip-Hop.--DISCLAIMERS: The views and opinions expressed during this presentation are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of 1Hood Media, 1Hood Power, and or its affiliates. In this week's installment of This Week In White Supremacy, the conversation was driven by recent events that have shaken the nation. The discussion, hosted by Jasiri, Saïd, and Miracle, revolved around  the complexities of current political violence, the responsibilities of cultural commentators, and the powerful, often painful echoes of history. The podcast begins with a reflection on a significant, tragic event: the shooting of Charlie Kirk, a right-wing commentator. The hosts, acknowledging the circumstances surrounding Kirk's beliefs and statements, examined the polarized reactions his death elicited. For Jasiri and Miracle, this was an opportunity to consider the differing perceptions of violence, empathy, and accountability when viewed through lenses shaped by race politics.Miracle's powerful analysis draws a direct line from past racial violence to contemporary media narratives. She points out how certain communities, particularly Black and Brown ones, are conditioned to expect violence. This expectation affects societal reactions to events like Kirk's death, where there's an inclination to sanitize and defend even the most severe actions of white individuals in mainstream narratives. As the episode wrapped up, the conversation came back to the heart of 1Hood's mission: unity and collective action. In the face of violence and division, 1HOOD calls for communities to work together to foster peace, understanding, and resilience reminding listeners of the power of collaboration and the importance of working toward a future where empathy and justice prevail. Welcome back to another episode of This Week In White Supremacy where hosts Jasiri X , Miracle, and Saïd bring their signature blend of humor, sharp commentary, and unfiltered truth to the table.A major theme of the episode is accountability—what it is, who practices it, and who just talks about it, 1HOOD chops up the difference between being honest about your flaws and actually working to change them. They call out the trend of people using “therapy language” to manipulate others, referencing everything from The Sopranos to the Man-O-Sphere and online “dark” therapy culture. The banter quickly turns to the everyday mayhem in America as the conversation shifts to the current political climate focusing on Donald Trump, JD Vance, and RFK Jr. to highlight the dangers of anti-intellectualism, with RFK Jr.'s infamous call to “stop trusting the experts” coming under fire arguing that undermining science and expertise is a hallmark of totalitarianism, not democracy. With Trump's future uncertain, the crew speculate on the Republican Party's succession plan. JD Vance, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Marco Rubio, and even Tucker Carlson are mentioned as possible contenders, but none seem to have the charisma or support to fill Trump's shoes. The discussion points out the GOP's lack of popular, unifying figures and the ongoing internal strife and chaos happening on the red side of the aisle. The podcast falls out into Trump's policies, including the disproportionate impact on Black women in the federal workforce and the gutting of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives. 1HOOD stress the importance of mutual aid, community organizing, and supporting Black leadership in the face of systemic setbacks. As the show wraps up, The message is clear: it's not enough to be honest about your flaws—real change requires effort, growth, and a willingness to be better. The episode's central theme revolves around the misuse of federal power by the Trump administration. 1HOOD discuss the implications of Trump deploying federal resources to Democratic-led cities like Chicago, labeling them as hotbeds of crime despite evidence of decreasing crime rates. This move is seen as a political strategy rather than a genuine attempt to tackle crime, as Trump positions himself as the savior of these areas while undermining successful local policies that focus on community investment.Jasiri X critiques rural America's fascination with Trump's policies, which often leave them worse off. He ask when the realization will hit these communities that Trump's strategies largely serve to enrich an already privileged few. This insight is starkly contrasted with the notion that poor white communities often refuse assistance that is perceived as supportive of black communities, even to their own detriment.Humor punctuates the episode, with the hosts joking about Southern cooking's origins and the cultural implications of establishments like Cracker Barrel. 1HOOD touches on the cultural and economic symbolism of establishments like Cracker Barrel, embroiled in controversy over changes to their logo perceived as 'soulless' without its traditional white imagery. From his Alaskan Peace Summit with Vladimir Putin to his controversial stance on eliminating mail-in voting in America via executive order, Trump remains a polarizing figure claiming Putin advised him on American voting systems—an illustration of the entanglement of foreign intervention and domestic policy.Throughout the episode, the hosts reference the need for increased awareness and action against systemic inequities. From Governor Gavin Newsom's media tactics designed to counter former President Trump's inflammatory rhetoric to the oppressive legislative maneuvers taking place in Texas, each segment reveals the myriad ways individuals and systems play a role in either upholding or dismantling white supremacy.Miracle's passionate monologue challenges the current political status quo, emphasizing the necessity for robust voter engagement to combat systemic oppression. Her words resonate with urgency—“change will not come from passive participation but from active confrontation of injustice”— as a poignant reminder that true change begins with us.This Week in White Supremacy is more than just a podcast—it's a call to action for those who believe in the power of collective voice and community engagement. In this illuminating episode of the Neuroscience Meets Social and Emotional Learning Podcast, host Andrea Samadi sits down with Dr. Shad Helmstetter, a best-selling author renowned for his work in personal growth and self-talk. Dr. Helmstetter shares his profound insights into the science of self-talk and neuroplasticity, revealing how the language we use with ourselves can radically transform our lives. Watch our interview of YouTube here https://youtu.be/zaVGEjVj__Y Listeners will discover how Dr. Helmstetter's research connects age-old principles of success with cutting-edge neuroscience. The episode delves into practical strategies for reprogramming the brain through positive self-talk, the significance of learning the language of success, and the steps anyone can take to improve their mindset. Whether you're an educator, a parent, or simply someone seeking personal improvement, this episode offers valuable lessons on how to harness your inner dialogue for greater achievement, fulfillment, and happiness. Welcome back to SEASON 13 of The Neuroscience Meets Social and Emotional Learning Podcast, where we connect the science-based evidence behind social and emotional learning and emotional intelligence training for improved well-being, achievement, productivity and results—using what I saw as the missing link (since we weren't taught this when we were growing up in school), the application of practical neuroscience. I'm Andrea Samadi, an author, and an educator with a passion for learning and launched this podcast 6 years ago with the goal of bringing ALL the leading experts together (in one place) to help us to APPLY this research in our daily lives. On today's EPISODE #359 we will cover: ✔ Dr. Shad Helmstetter's background that led him to create an APP that teaches how to reprogram the brain with positive self-talk ✔ Where our self-talk originated from, and how we can change it, rewire our brain, and put our lives on a trajectory for success. ✔ What is the language of success vs the language of those who are deemed to fall short of their goals? ✔ How can we teach this language to ourselves, our children, students or large groups, to permanently rewire their brain for success? For today's EP #359, we meet with the best-selling author of more than twenty books in the field of personal growth, Shad Helmstetter, Ph.D. What caught my attention with our next guest was NOT this huge list of books he has written, or that he had appeared on over 1200 radio and television programs, including repeat appearances on Oprah Winfrey, ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN News, or even that his self-talk audio programs are listened to thousands of individuals and families worldwide. There was something else that set our next guest apart from the others. What caught my attention was when I saw a passage in his book, The Power of Neuroplasticity, that described the EXACT mission or quest that I have been on, since looking back at the days I worked for motivational speaker Bob Proctor[i], and always wondered like our next guest “why do some people fail while others succeed?” I even wrote this question on the back of my first book, The Secret for Teens Revealed, and have been on a mission to connect science to these age-old principles that I have witnessed change many people's lives. We have covered Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich[ii] book on this podcast, as well as Wallace D. Wattles' The Science of Getting Rich[iii], and after looking at this question, I always came to the SAME conclusion. It HAS GOT to come down to the fact that successful people “think and act” in a certain way. So when I came across Shad Helmstetter, I wanted to learn what he has discovered that connects the age old books that we have covered on this podcast, to science. I wondered what he has discovered about “why are some people, day to day, happier, more productive, more fulfilled than others? What makes the difference? It is kismet, a kind of fate” he asks in his classic book, What to Say When You Talk to Yourself. Or has he discovered something important about the way we talk to ourselves that could possibly change the course of our lives? Let's meet Shad Helmstetter, a pioneering dean in the field of self-talk, and see what we can learn from his decades of research, that could possibly take us to NEW heights in 2025 and beyond. Welcome Dr. Helmstetter, it's an honor to meet someone who has accomplished so much in a field that I've been immersed in since the late 1990s. Thank you for being here today. INTRO Q: I've got to start how did you first get interested in self-talk and programming? Can you give us some background of where your career began? 1. We have covered self-talk before on this podcast, and ways to control those automatic negative thoughts, but can you explain what is self-talk and why is it so important? Are there certain words we shouldn't say, or think? Is there a difference in the brains of successful people compared to the brains of people who struggle or fail? I ask this question, as working in the seminar industry in the late 1990s, I saw all types of people, from all walks of life. I definitely noticed some people did things (took action) or showed me that they “thought” in a “certain way” that projected them on a pathway of success. What is the difference that you see? 1B: What are some words that can put us on a trajectory for success? What are some of the areas of life that are directly affected by our self-talk and how the brain is wired? I can guess our careers, but what else would you say? How does social media shape our self-talk, and can we override that influence through conscious effort? 1C: How do you see neuroscience being integrated in our lives, and classrooms of the future? What is the best way to listen to self-talk, and how often should you listen to it? 2: We can go deep here, but beyond our life experiences, where would you say exactly our programming comes from? 2B: How do we stop doing something we might not even be aware of? 2C: The importance of who we surround ourselves with, and ways to impact larger groups of people with positive thinking. 3. When did you first realize the importance of studying the brain with your work? What is your vision for where your work will go? Dr. Helmstetter, I want to thank you for taking the time to meet with me, and share your fascinating work that has been helping people globally for decades. The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (07/22/2024): 3:05pm- On Sunday, in a post to the social media platform X, President Joe Biden announced that he would withdraw immediately from the 2024 presidential race. He reasoned: “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.” Later Biden posted once more from his X account, endorsing his Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor: “My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it's been the best decision I've made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats—it's time to come together and beat Trump.” 3:15pm- Will Kamala Harris ultimately become the Democratic Party's presidential nominee? President Joe Biden, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Governors Gretchen Whitmer and Gavin Newsom have all endorsed Harris. It could be difficult for another candidate to challenge her. Reid Epstein of The New York Times writes: “Only officials at the Democratic National Committee and the Biden campaign have the full roster of delegates. If someone decided to run against Ms. Harris, the first challenge would be to gain access to the people who will make that decision. Without access to the delegate list, alternative candidates to Ms. Harris are effectively blocked from both canvassing the delegates for their opinions and trying to persuade them to support someone other than Ms. Harris. There is no evidence to date that any serious political campaign other than Mr. Biden's and the D.N.C. has made an effort to reach out to the convention's delegates.” You can read the full article here: https://www.nytimes.com/article/biden-drop-out-nomination-delegates-harris.html 3:40pm- In response to Joe Biden withdrawing from the 2024 presidential race and endorsing Kamala Harris as his replacement, former Democrat presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard urged voters to cast their ballots for Donald Trump. 4:05pm- Dr. Ben Carson—Former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development & a Retired Neurosurgeon and Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University—joins The Rich Zeoli and reacts to Joe Biden's decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race and his endorsement of Kamala Harris as his replacement. How will Harris fair as a general election candidate? PLUS, as president, would Harris ban cheeseburgers??? Dr. Carson's new book— “The Perilous Fight: Overcoming Our Culture's War on the American Family”—which he co-authored with his wife Candy Carson, is available here: https://a.co/d/5RggqEs 4:15pm- Matt starts the week off in the doghouse—violating two of Rich's most important rules: no boy band music and no national polls! 4:30pm- Rich notes that people forget, but Kamala Harris was such a bad presidential candidate in 2020 that she was forced to withdraw from the race before the California primary because she was polling at 8% in her home state—behind Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren. 4:40pm- On Monday, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle testified before the House Oversight and Accountability Committee about the law enforcement agency's failures at Donald Trump's July 13th campaign rally in Butler, PA where the former president was nearly assassinated. During one notable exchange, Rep. Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) grilled Cheatle—asking why the rally wasn't at least paused when Secret Service became aware of the eventual shooter? 4:50pm- Double or Nothing: Weeks ago, Rich bullied Matt into accepting a terrible bet. Rich wins $1,000 if Democrats replace Joe Biden as the party's presidential candidate. Matt wins 1 pepperoni pizza if Biden remains the candidate. Now that Biden has withdrawn, Rich proposes a new bet: double or nothing! If Kamala Harris is the Democrat Party's nominee, Matt wins 2 pepperoni pizzas—if she isn't, he owes Rich $2,000. That's pretty fair, right? 5:05pm- On Sunday, in a post to the social media platform X, President Joe Biden announced that he would withdraw immediately from the 2024 presidential race. Democrats—it's time to come together and beat Trump.” 5:10pm- In response to Joe Biden's decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race, Frank Biden—the president's brother—said that the Joe's health played a major role in his decision to step aside and endorse Kamala Harris. 5:20pm- Leave or Else: Isabel Vincent of The New York Post writes: “Operatives at the very highest levels of the Democratic Party threatened Joe Biden with forcibly removing him from office unless he stepped down, sources told The Post. The well-orchestrated “palace coup” to stop the faltering president seeking re-election has been in place for weeks, but stubborn Biden fought against it every step of the way, a source close to the Biden family told The Post Monday… Part of the ‘elaborate' strategy to remove Biden from the race—as he announced in a shock letter posted on X Sunday—was allowing him to debate Republican candidate Donald Trump last month on live TV in Atlanta. During the car crash 90-minute debate, Biden appeared confused, slack-jawed and at one point he froze up, with his shocking performance turning the tide against him.” She continues: “Although Biden immediately endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate for president, the source said Democratic delegates will be strongly encouraged to instead back Arizona senator and former astronaut Mark Kelly for president at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August.” You can read the full article here: https://nypost.com/2024/07/22/us-news/top-dems-threatened-to-remove-biden-unless-he-resigned/ 5:30pm- Kamala Harris is “unburdened by what has been!” PLUS while appearing on CNN, Van Jones cried when hearing the news that Joe Biden had decided to withdraw from the 2024 presidential campaign. Matt reveals that he saw Van at the Milwaukee airport last week! 5:40pm- While appearing on Fox News, former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said he believes Democrats will ultimately bypass Kamala Harris and make Michelle Obama their party's presidential nominee. 5:50pm- Earlier today, President Joe Biden called into the Kamala Harris campaign team (which had been his campaign team prior to his withdraw on Sunday). Biden told the team: “I know yesterday's news was surprising.” He also vowed to campaign alongside Harris. 6:05pm- On Monday, Kamala Harris spoke to the media for the first time since Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 presidential race and endorsed her as the nominee. Harris said of Donald Trump: “I will proudly put my record against his.” Harris also baselessly alleged that “Donald Trump wants to take our country backwards”—stripping American citizens of inherent rights. 6:15pm- A damning CNN News report from 2020 featuring Renata Espinoza—wife of fallen police officer Isaac Espinoza—documents Kamala Harris' failures as San Francisco District Attorney. Harris has defended her decision to refuse seeking the death penalty for the man who killed Officer Espinoza in 2004. Former San Francisco Police Officer's Association President Gary Delagnes says Harris viewed the officer's death as a “political opportunity.” At the time, even then-Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) rebuked Harris' decision. 6:25pm- Earlier today, President Joe Biden called into the Kamala Harris campaign team (which had been his campaign team prior to his withdraw on Sunday). Biden told the team: “I know yesterday's news was surprising.” He also vowed to campaign alongside Harris. 6:40pm- Last week, Sarah Parshall Perry—Senior Legal Fellow for the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at The Heritage Foundation—joined The Rich Zeoli Show from the Republican convention in Milwaukee Wisconsin to discuss Judge Aileen Cannon's recent ruling that the appointment of Jack Smith as special counsel was unconstitutional. Consequently, the classified documents case brought against former President Donald Trump was dismissed.

On the afternoon of May 30, 2005, the senior students from Mountain Brook High School gathered at the airport in Aruba to make their return flight to Alabama after their celebratory trip, when chaperones noticed that one of the students was missing. Eighteen-year-old Natalee Holloway was last seen around 1:30 am that morning, leaving a bar with a student from the local International School of Aruba, but no one had seen or heard from her since and when they checked the hotel, Natalee's luggage and other belongings were still in her room.
