We delve into the game's groundbreaking features, such as the expansive galaxy-spanning battles, the introduction of Jedi and Sith characters as playable heroes, and the rich, narrative-driven campaign that brought fans closer to the "Star Wars" universe. This episode doesn't just cover the mechanics and gameplay; we also explore the cultural significance of "Star Wars Battlefront II" and how it arrived at a pivotal moment for both "Star Wars" enthusiasts and the gaming community, riding the wave of excitement following the prequel trilogy.Beyond the game itself, we engage in a broader "Star Wars" discussion, touching on its impact on pop culture, the evolution of its fandom, and how "Star Wars Battlefront II" contributed to the lore and appeal of the franchise. We reflect on how the game served as a bridge between the original and prequel trilogies for many fans, offering a unique way to experience iconic battles and characters. Through this episode, Lou and I aim to share not just a love for a game but an appreciation for its role in expanding the "Star Wars" saga and its enduring legacy in both gaming and "Star Wars" history. Just a couple of topics for this episode of ModChat, but we're going big with a throwback to the original Xbox having a true breakthrough entrypoint in the form of the appropriately named ENDGAME. This works on all stock Dashboards, kernels, and can be launched directly from the Dashboard using only a storage device. No hotswapping, soldering, teardowns, or games needed! Show and tell is prevalent this episode as we walk through a setup of ENDGAME on a stock Xbox and show what it can be capable of. We also see a pretty awesome announcement showing the PlayStation Portal is now running Android apps natively. Finally, as a fun mod to cover, and old Fallout: New Vegas mod has been recovered which might have you rollin', rollin', rollin', rollin' with joy.

Link To Article: https://bit.ly/336r1MxThe Sixth Generation of Console Video Games was a time of the maturing of the video game industry. It was a time when many trends were started that would reach their height in the Seventh Generation. The first out of the gate this time was Sega. Things had been looking very grim indeed for Sega after the disastrous launch of the Saturn and its subsequent failure, so the company decided on going for a gamble. Sega Dreamcast was touted for its online features, with online play and downloadable games, as well as reviving the Sonic the Hedgehog series that was strangely on hiatus during the fifth generation.note Knowing that their new console more than anything needed a Killer App to stay afloat, Sega decided to bank on another gamble, and gave designer legend Yu Suzuki free range to put an auteur project of his own together. The result was the very ambitious and ground-breaking Shenmue, which with its release in 1999 stood out as one of the earliest entries into the Wide-Open Sandbox genre. But Shenmue, while celebrated for its very impressive graphics and the scope of its ambition, also failed to become the ace in the hole that Sega had hoped for. While ending up as the fourth best-selling title for the console, its development had been very pricey, and despite the good sales, the game ultimately failed to break even against its very high budget, and therefore it only ended up adding to Sega's financial woes.Support the show (https://bit.ly/2XdAlJC)
