Is the future one where we accept tribalism and conflict as inherent in the human condition, where moral and scientific beliefs based on reason are badges, shaped by class, nation, ethnicity and culture? Or is reason more important than ever, not as a route to truth, but as a means to test the effectiveness and consequences of a given outlook? And can we reclaim reason as a method for resisting the crowd rather than following it?Reason was supposedly the great liberator – an Enlightenment gift that freed us from blind adherence to tradition and the authority of church and state. But today, many now contend this is a comforting myth. For as Benjamin Franklin put it, reason merely helps us “make a reason for everything one already has a mind to do.” Furthermore, studies confirm people with more developed reasoning skills are more susceptible to groupthink and polarization, not less. For the more rational we are, the better we are at justifying what we already believe – especially when it aligns with our social circle. Dan Sperber is a distinguished anthropologist and philosopher who is the author of several critically-acclaimed books, including The Enigma of Reason. Steve Fuller is a professor of sociology at the University of Warwick. He is the author of dozens of books, including Post-truth: Knowledge as a Power Game. Miriam Schoenfield is a leading epistemologist, Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin, and award-winning essayist. Jack Symes is a public philosopher and writer. ในระหว่างที่สังคมกำลังถกเถียงว่าการเลือกตั้งเป็นความลับหรือไม่ กกต. ยังไม่ประกาศผลคะแนนอย่างเป็นทางการ การรวมเสียงจัดตั้งรัฐบาลได้เดินหน้าไปอย่างมั่นใจว่าการเลือกตั้งครั้งนี้จะ ‘ไม่เป็นโมฆะ' การไม่มีข่าวว่าพรรคกล้าธรรมเป็นพรรคร่วมรัฐบาล ถือว่าเหนือความคาดหมาย เพราะด้วยคะแนนเสียงตอนนี้ สมการที่ทำให้รัฐบาลพรรคภูมิใจไทยมีเสถียรภาพคือการมีพรรคกล้าธรรม และพรรคเพื่อไทยร่วมรัฐบาล สมการนี้ทำให้ไม่ว่าพรรคสีเขียวหรือสีแดงจะถอนตัวออกไป ก็ไม่ทำให้รัฐบาลภูมิใจไทยพังลง ถ้าวิเคราะห์การเมืองแบบปกติ การมีพรรคเพื่อไทยเป็นพรรคร่วมรัฐบาลพรรคเดียว ย่อมทำให้พรรคเพื่อไทยมีอำนาจต่อรองสูง เพราะ่ต่อให้รวมพรรคเล็กได้ทั้งหมดแต่ถ้าพรรคเพื่อไทยถอนตัว รัฐบาลจะล่มทันที นี่คือการรวมเสียงจัดตั้งรัฐบาลโดยนับที่ ‘จำนวนเสียงของพรรคการเมือง' แต่อย่าลืมว่าคนยกมือค้ำรัฐบาลคือ ‘สส. รายบุคคล' สิ่งที่ต้องจับตาในวันโหวตนายกรัฐมนตรี คือแม้พรรคการเมืองนั้นๆ จะไม่ได้ประกาศสนับสนุนรัฐบาล แต่ สส. พรรคนั้นจะโหวตให้นายกฯ อนุทินหรือไม่ ผู้กองธรรมนัสกับแสงเหนือ ชั่วโมงนี้อาจลำบาก เพราะเจองานยากอย่าง ‘อนุทินเหนือแสง'

เข้าโค้งสุดท้ายของการเลือกตั้ง ทุกพรรคการเมืองปรับเปลี่ยนเกมใหม่เพื่อช่วงชิงความได้เปรียบ แต่พรรคที่ดูเหมือนเป็น “หมู่บ้านกระสุนตก” ที่โดนถล่มจากทุกทาง คือ พรรคประชาชน การเลือกตั้ง 2569 แม้พรรคประชาชนจะมีคะแนนนำจากการสำรวจในหลายโพล แต่ต้องยอมรับว่ากระแสเชิง “อารมณ์” ยังไม่แรงนักเมื่อเทียบกับการเลือกตั้ง 2566 รอบนี้ พรรคประชาชนปิดจุดอ่อนเรื่องไม่มีประสบการณ์ด้วยการเปิดตัวทีมมืออาชีพ (Professional) ย้ำจุดแข็งเรื่องนโยบายผ่านงานใหญ่ของพรรค นำเสนอทั้งตัวบุคคลและวิธีการบริหาร แต่จุดแข็งสำคัญของพรรคประชาชนในรอบที่แล้ว คือกระแสเชิงอารมณ์ความรู้สึก คลิปไวรัลกางร่ม เช็ดป้ายหาเสียงพิธา ลิ้มเจริญรัตน์ เพลงประกอบคลิปที่เป็นไวรัลทั่วบ้านทั่วเมือง สิ่งเหล่านี้ยังเบาบางในการเลือกตั้งรอบนี้ เกมสร้าง “ทะเลดาว” จึงต้องเร่งให้เกิดขึ้นในช่วงเข้าโค้งสุดท้ายของการหาเสียงเลือกตั้ง 25 มกราคมนี้ที่สามย่าน มิตรทาวน์ จุดเดิมที่เคยสร้างกระแสให้พิธา พรรคประชาชนเลือกใช้ฐานที่มั่นเดิม หวังจะสร้างปรากฎการณ์ทะเลดาวให้ได้อีกครั้ง เหตุผลมีเยอะแล้ว ต่อไปนี้ถึงเวลาเติมอารมณ์ความรู้สึก ในขณะเดียวกันถ้าทะเลดาวสร้างได้ก็สอยได้เช่นกัน น่าจับตามองว่าอะไรจะเป็น “เกมสอยดาว” ในช่วงโค้งสุดท้าย

การเลือกตั้งปี 2569 ที่ประชาชนกำลังจะได้หย่อนบัตรเลือกตั้ง เพื่อเลือกพรรคการเมืองมาเป็นแกนนำจัดตั้งรัฐบาล ในวันที่ 8 ก.พ. ที่จะถึงนี้ เกมแย่งชิงคะแนนเสียงเริ่มเข้มข้นขึ้นทุกขณะ พรรคการเมืองหากแยกออกเป็นเฉดสีแล้ว น้ำเงิน ส้ม ฟ้า แดง กำลังต่อสู้แย่งชิงเพื่อจะวิ่งเข้าเส้นชัยในการเป็นแกนนำจัดตั้งรัฐบาล ทุกพรรคล้วนแต่งัดกลยุทธ์ออกมาสู้กันตั้งแต่โค้งแรก และต้องจับตาโค้งสุดท้ายว่าจะมีหมัดเด็ด-หมัดน็อก อะไร ที่จะมาขอคะแนนความไว้วางใจจากประชาชน เพราะผลลัพธ์ในเส้นชัย ผู้ชนะจะเป็นผู้กำหนดเกม

ชมวิดีโอ EP นี้ใน YouTube เพื่อประสบการณ์การรับชมที่ดีที่สุด https://youtu.be/DiHDjJaigMU หลังปีใหม่การหาเสียงเลือกตั้งเริ่มคึกคักมากขึ้น พรรคภูมิใจไทย เหมือนนักมวยยก 5 ที่คะแนนนำ ถีบ-ถอย และไม่ปะทะ แต่ก็เจอลูกหลงจากกระแส ‘อภิสิทธิ์' ที่ดึงคะแนนปาร์ตี้ลิสต์กลุ่มอนุรักษ์ และ ส.ส. ภาคใต้ ในขณะที่พรรคประชาชน ติดมุมเจอ 2 คำถามเก่า “ม.112 - ทหารมีไว้ทำไม” จนต้องพลิกสร้างเกมใหม่กับการเปิดตัว ‘รัฐมนตรีคนนอก' ที่เรียกเสียงฮือฮาได้พอประมาณ ส่วนพรรคเพื่อไทยนั้นเหมือนยังจัดกระบวนทัพไม่เข้าที่ ไม่ทรงพลังเหมือนตอนเลือกตั้ง 2566 แต่กระแสที่แรงที่สุดในสัปดาห์นี้ กลับเป็นเรื่องการลงทะเบียนเลือกตั้งล่วงหน้า และลงทะเบียนประชามตินอกเขต แสวง บุญมี และ กกต. กลายเป็น ‘หมู่บ้านกระสุนตก' แม้ยอดลงทะเบียนเลือกตั้งล่วงหน้าปี 2569 พุ่งสูงทะลุ 2.4 ล้านคน ทำลายสถิติปี 2566 ขณะที่ยอดลงทะเบียนลงประชามตินอกเขตทะลุ 1.5 ล้านคน แต่ทั้งหมดนี้คือผลงานของ iLaw และภาคประชาชนล้วนๆ โดยมี กกต. เป็นแรงขับแห่งความโกรธเกรี้ยว การทำงานของ กกต. ที่ไม่คิดอำนวยความสะดวกให้ประชาชน แต่เลือกความสะดวกของตัวเองเป็นศูนย์กลาง ทำให้เกิดกระแสความโกรธเกรี้ยวที่รุนแรง จนทำให้ยอดการลงทะเบียนเลือกตั้งล่วงหน้าเพิ่มขึ้นถึง 1 ล้านคนในวันสุดท้าย ทั้งหมดคือระเบิดเวลาที่ไปรอแสดงแสนยานุภาพในวันที่ 8 กุมภาพันธ์ และอาจลามจาก ‘ประชามติ' ไปถึงผลการเลือกตั้ง

ลมใต้ปีก ที่พาพรรคภูมิใจไทย ขึ้นมาอยู่ในเกมอำนาจเวลานี้คือ คำที่เรียกว่ากระแส ‘ชาตินิยม' แต่หากชาตินิยมถูกใช้แบบดื้อสบู่ ไม่รู้จังหวะ ไม่รู้ขอบเขต มันจะเปลี่ยนเป็นพายุที่ถาโถมกลับมาหาตัวเองได้ การสู้รบระหว่าง ไทย-กัมพูชา ถูกหยิบมาอธิบายในเชิงอารมณ์มากกว่าคลี่คลายปัญหา และความขัดแย้งอาจยิ่งกลายเป็นเครื่องมือทางการเมืองได้ ในศึกการเมืองสามก๊ก ส้ม–แดง–น้ำเงิน ส้มครองพื้นที่ความคาดหวังของคนรุ่นใหม่ แดงต้องฟื้นพลังกลับมาที่จุดพูดแล้วทำได้ ส่วนน้ำเงิน หากยังผูกตัวเองกับชาตินิยมแบบแข็งทื่อ จะยิ่งถูกบีบพื้นที่ ขยับไม่ได้ โลกวันนี้ประชาชนถามหาเศรษฐกิจ ปากท้อง และอนาคต ซึ่งถือเป็นอีกแนวรบที่สำคัญ สมการเลือกตั้งที่มีประชาชนตอนกาบัตร แต่หลังจากนั้นเป็นเกมอำนาจที่ไร้ประชาชน เมื่อการเมืองเหลือแค่การจัดวางสีและจับมือคุมเกม พลังของประชาชน ที่ไม่ถูกประคองจะย้อนมาทำลายเจ้าของมันเอง คำถามจึงไม่ใช่ชาตินิยมดีหรือไม่ดี แต่คือใครคุมพวงมาลัยของรถคันนี้ ที่จะพามันไปข้างหน้า หรือปล่อยให้มันย้อนศรกลับมาเป็นภาระอีกครั้ง

นับถอยหลังการเลือกตั้งอย่างเป็นทางการ กำหนดไว้ 8 กุมภาพันธ์ปีหน้า ท่ามกลางคำถามว่าจะได้เลือกตั้งในวันนั้นจริงหรือไม่ ปัจจัยสำคัญคือสถานการณ์ชายแดนไทย-กัมพูชายังคงตึงเครียด มีผู้อพยพนับแสนคน แถมกฎหมายยังเปิดช่องให้สามารถเลื่อนการเลือกตั้งได้จนกว่าเหตุการณ์จะยุติ การปะทะที่ชายแดนเต็มไปด้วยความสูญเสีย แต่ในทางการเมืองต้องยอมรับว่าพรรคภูมิใจไทยได้คะแนนนิยมจากกระแสชาตินิยมจากเหตุการณ์นี้พอสมควร ประเด็นคือพรรคภูมิใจไทยจะขี่กระแสนี้ได้นานแค่ไหน เพราะยิ่งนานวันก็เริ่มมีคำถามว่ามันจะจบลงอย่างไร ไทยได้หรือเสียมากกว่ากันกับสถานการณ์ที่บานปลาย? คำถามไม่ได้เกิดขึ้นแค่เรื่องกัมพูชา แต่เกิดขึ้นกับปรากฏการณ์การเมืองไทย เมื่อพรรคประชาชนโดนฉีกสัญญาอีกครั้ง นับเป็นการโดนฉีกสัญญาสองรอบติด ตั้งแต่พรรคเพื่อไทยจนถึงพรรคภูมิใจไทย ในมุมนักวิเคราะห์การเมือง อาจมีการอ่านเกมว่าภูมิใจไทยนั้นเก๋าเกมการเมือง ส่วนพรรคประชาชนเสียรู้ เจ็บแล้วไม่จำ คำถามสำคัญคือ ‘Why' ทำไมถึงเป็นแบบนี้ ? ทำไมพรรคการเมืองที่ตรงไปตรงมาถึงไม่ถูกชื่นชม ทำไมการยืนตรงในหลักการถึงถูกด่าว่าไม่ฉลาด แต่พรรคการเมืองที่เลี้ยวไปเลี้ยวมากลับได้รับคำชื่นชม หรือเป็นเพราะเราคุ้นชินกับสิ่งนี้มานาน… สุดท้ายแล้วความฉลาดทางการเมืองคืออะไรกันแน่?

หากเวลานี้ยังไม่มีการปะทะกันระหว่างไทย-กัมพูชา พื้นที่สาธารณะของสังคมไทยในช่วงนี้ อาจถูกใช้ไปกับการถกเถียงหลายเรื่องพร้อมกัน ตั้งแต่น้ำท่วมหาดใหญ่ ฮั้วสว. บทบาทของซีเกมส์ในบริบทนโยบายรัฐ ไปจนถึงทิศทางและความเป็นไปได้ของการแก้ไขรัฐธรรมนูญ แต่เมื่อความตึงเครียดทางทหารที่ชายแดนเกิดขึ้น วาระเหล่านั้นกลับค่อยๆ เบาลง แต่ไม่ได้หายไปจากหน้าการเมือง เพียงแค่ขยับตำแหน่งในความสนใจของคนในสังคมออกไป นี่ไม่ใช่เพียงเรื่องของความขัดแย้งระหว่างประเทศ แต่คือการเมืองในประเทศที่คู่ขนานกันไป

ในวิกฤตมีโอกาส แต่วิกฤตน้ำท่วมหาดใหญ่และพื้นที่ภาคใต้ รัฐบาลภูมิใจไทยได้สูญเสียโอกาสพิสูจน์ฝีมือไปเรียบร้อยแล้ว การเข้าสู่ช่วงฟื้นฟูเยียวยาถัดจากนี้ จึงถือเป็นโอกาสอีกครั้งให้รัฐบาลภูมิใจไทยได้แก้มือ น้ำท่วมรอบนี้ หากถอดรหัสดีๆ จะพบเรื่องราวการเมืองที่ซับซ้อน มีทั้งรอยร้าวระหว่างพรรคร่วมรัฐบาล พรรคภูมิใจไทย และพรรคกล้าธรรม การแย่งชิงความนิยมของพรรคการเมืองต่างๆ ในพื้นที่ภาคใต้ พรรคประชาชนที่โดดเด่นขึ้นมาจนทำให้ต้องมีการสกัดดาวรุ่ง แม้จะพลาดเป้าไปก็ตาม ขณะที่พรรคประชาธิปัตย์ เริ่มได้คะแนนตีตื้นขึ้นมาจากพื้นที่ภาคใต้ที่หายไป ดังนั้นความพร้อมในการเลือกตั้งที่จะถึงนี้ ต้องมานับคะแนนกันใหม่ว่า ใครจะมีแต้มต่อมากกว่ากัน การเมืองเดือนธันวาคมนี้ จึงน่าจับตาเกมอภิปรายไม่ไว้วางใจที่พรรคเพื่อไทยเคยประกาศจะยื่น แต่อาจรอจังหวะที่เหมาะสมโดยมีปัจจัยความพร้อมทางการเมืองเป็นตัวชี้วัดสำคัญ
