Propagujemy i zachęcamy do uprawiania ogrodów ekologicznie, w zgodzie z naturą, bez chemii. Polecamy również vloga Katarzyny:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZuyPP3vZWmT-BsknBiejXQ #naturalnieoogrodach  E-book - Plan na warzywnik. More than 40 million Americans have left religion behind in the past 25 years. However, that hemorrhage isn't spread evenly across all religions. The most recent data from the Pew Research Center show the number of Muslims in this country are growing. Turns out, the number of converts to Islam is roughly equal to the number of people leaving the religion. Some Muslim leaders here in Minnesota have noted they've seen a spike in interest in Islam in recent years and have worked with a higher number of people converting to Islam.Tamara Gray is founder of the nonprofit Rabata, where she teaches women about Islam in Arden Hills. how to stop attaching your happiness to people | islamic feelings

Islamic Feelings ♡

In Islam, the concept of attaching one's happiness primarily to people is approached with caution and balance. While human relationships and connections are important, Islam teaches believers to place ultimate reliance and attachment on Allah (God) rather than solely depending on human interactions for their happiness. The Quran and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad  PBUH emphasize the importance of putting one's faith in Allah and finding contentment through a strong connection with Him. Islam encourages believers to strike a balance between forming meaningful relationships with others and maintaining a strong connection with Allah. While people can bring happiness and support, attachment solely to them can lead to disappointment and instability. By focusing on faith, personal responsibility, gratitude, and reliance on God, Muslims aim to find lasting contentment and joy while navigating the complexities of human relationships. This episode discusses a few personal tips in how to avoid attaching your happiness to people. Anas reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Leave the world to its people. Whoever takes from the world more than what suffices him, he has taken a portion of his ruin while he is unaware.” Source: al-Firdaws lil-Daylamī 363 ☆ This episode is sponsored by Rabata. However, for some reason, the burden of hardship continues to overwhelm us. To discuss this important topic, I have teamed up with Anse Dr. Farhana Yunus from Rabata for this takeover episode. Cultivating these within yourself FIRST to become a better Muslim and seeking it out in others is key -------------------------------------- Al-Zubayr ibn ‘Awwam reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Lurking towards you are the diseases of the nations before you. Guest: Maryline David. Seeking Connection With God In this episode, we discuss Maryline's conversion to Islam. Maryline was raised Catholic, but after moving to Ireland learned more about other religions including Islam. She discusses how her desire to have a closer relationship to God led her to Islam. Sister Maryline converted 15 years ago and currently lives with her family in Spain. Some key points discussed: Her religious upbringing. Political Islam Cultural Islam Misconceptions about Islam. Her time in Yemen Taking her Shahada. Building a closer relationship with God. This is the book that Maryline mentioned: https://untoislam.com/book/struggling-to-surrender-jeffrey-lang The course taught by Maryline (99 names of Allah) can be found at Back to the Fitra Academy: http://kathrynljones.com/ Maryline says: I converted in 2006, so I have been Muslim for 15 years this year. I am less than a year away from reaching the Islamic age of maturity, 40. I am French. I grew up in a Catholic family. Some members of my family were/are very committed to their faith, including nuns, priests, chaplains or workers for Christian organisations (particularly L'Arche founded by Jean Vanier) and some are non-believers. I attended a Catholic school from 2 to 18 years old I think this is important to mention as it has shaped my path as a Muslim in some ways (as a reaction to what I grew up with initially) and it has also offered me paths of reflection and inspiration more recently. I grew up in a small town in Brittany (4000 inhabitants). My grandfather, my father and I were all born in that town, and my ancestors were born in France as far as I am aware. I currently live in Spain, South of Valencia, after having lived in Sheffield, Belfast, London, Paris and Dublin. I trained as a translator and more recently, as a secondary school teacher. I am an expert in languages and I am fascinated by the language reflects reality. I have two young children (10 and 5) and so, I don't have a lot of time for hobbies, but I love swimming, and I started open-water swimming during lockdown, with one of my achievements being to swim about a mile in 12 degrees celsius water. I generally love nature walks, and I would love to have more time for reading and writing. I am also interested in permaculture and how to build resilient communities, in alternative medicine of all sorts, especially unani tibb. I am not an expert in any of these fields, but I did start training in some of these (hijama and unani tibb particularly) I am passionate about inclusion, in helping those who feel marginalised in any way, shape or form, to find their place . I am also passionate about supporting mothers, and women in general, spiritually, emotionally, but also in very practical ways at a local level. Covid restrictions had destroyed all the informal social tissue in my neighbourhood: the playgroups, the mum and baby coffee mornings, the breastfeeding advice cafes, etc. Without these, I have no idea how I would have functioned when I first became a mother, and my heart was completely broken for the isolated mums. We need a village to raise a child, and it is the building of this village that I am passionate about (metaphorically and in very concrete ways as well). I believe this starts by ourselves if we can, in whatever capacity. I am also a Back to the Fitrah mentor, and this means I help Muslims come back to their God-given wisdom, to their fitrah, to identify when they are following their inner compass or not (what we describe as being inside out or outside in). At Back to the Fitrah, I hold a gathering online each week called the 99 Names of Allah from the Inside Out, where we go through each of Allah's names and chat about how this name has manifested itself in our lives or how we can live by this name. In the future, I also intend to offer what I learned at Back to the Fitrah in French. I am also a volunteer with Rabata, and although I don't have a major role in the organisation, I feel passionate about how it supports women in their pursuit of sacred knowledge. Both these organisations are headed by converts , and this was one of the reasons I initially approached them, and I found there the support and the understanding I needed. The topic of Mahr at times can be so nerve racking when discussed between potential spouses. Questions such as 'how much one should ask for' and 'if there's a limit for the amount requested' are at the top of everyone's list. Often times, we can be so quick in discussing the details of the wedding hall and guest list, but do we also make it a priority to reserve the time for serious discussions such as financial compatibility, especially when it comes to Mahr?Western media likes to portray it as a dowry or bride price and the last thing women want is for a man to place a price tag on her at his own discretion. But what if I told you that dowry and Mahr are completely different? In today's episode, I sit down with Dr. Tamara Gray, a household name in most Muslim communities, because of her constant support and mentorship of hundreds of women around the world. Her organization, Rabata, is dedicated to promoting positive cultural change through creative educational experiences. Dr. Gray defines what Mahr is and its origin within the Islamic context. She also provides valuable insight on how to gauge what and how much to request and what to do with our Mahr. Of course, as much as we hope a marriage can last between spouses, there is the possibility of it ending in divorce. Dr. Gray also briefly advises on how Mahr should be handled from that point, too.I want to thank Dr. Gray for lending herself as a resource and for empowering women when it comes to the topic of financial security and how one should invest their assets. We need more of these conversations and inshallah we can continue having them.Be on the lookout for a future episode that will be released in regards to prenups from a Western standpoint.Enjoy and follow the pod on Instagram:@unsweetenedandunfilteredFollow Dr. Tamara Gray on Instagram:@tamaralgrayCheck out the Rabata organization:RABATACheck out DayBreak Press for Islamic Books for Ramadan:DayBreak PressPurchase a Copy of Project Lina:Project Lina

In this episode our host, Dr. Su'ad Abdul Khabeer talks with Siddeeqah Sharif Fichman an Afro-Native Muslim and community advocate and Hazel Gómez, a faith-based community organizer, about Being Muslim on Turtle Island. This deep discussion digs into questions such as What would make a Muslim a settler or indigenous to North America? How might settler thinking shape how we live as Muslims today? What are the responsibilities of Muslims, as a whole, to the indigenous inhabitants of the Americas? During the conversation, Hazel reads the poem “Child of the Americas” by Aurora Levins Morales (shared below) and Siddeqah introduces us to the song “Bilalian Man” by Sister Khalifah Abdul Rahman.* To the question, if Black Islam had a theme song what would it be? Hazel chose “Allah” by Khalil Ismail and Siddeeqah chose “Bilalian Man” as her Black Muslim theme song. The song excerpt in the episode is sung by Siddeeqah's mother, Sister Sabreen Sharif and full lyrics are below. Not sure what Bilalian means? Check out this article by Precious Rasheeda Muhammad. Assalamu alaykum,As I begin my own spiritual journey, I want to hear from those who have taken this path before me. This podcast focuses on them and listening to their stories — uninterrupted. My name is Hebah Masood and I invite you to reflect on the trajectories of their lives, and the guidance and blessings provided by Allah swt along that journey.JazakAllah khayr and special thanks to Sister Mozynah Nofal and The Women's Circle at the University of Toronto for the opportunity to host this week's event and interview Anse Dr. Tamara Gray where this episode was recorded! As a college student, Anse Tamara Gray became intrigued by the idea of the hijab. She had grown up Lutheran, but liked the protective nature of the hijab and so began wearing it. Within a week she purchased an English translation of the Qur'an. She was stunned to read verse 35 in Surah Al-Ahzab that addresses both men and women as equal believers. As someone with a feminist background, it caught her attention and she decided to take the shahada. In those early years as a Muslim, she found herself frustrated with the often confusing answers she was receiving to religious questions, so she realized she had to study sacred knowledge. She had heard of female teachers in Syria, which appealed to her. Her plan: marry a Syrian and study in Syria. She would end up spending 20 years in Syria, moving back to the United States in 2012.Today, most people know Anse Tamara Gray as the founder of Daybreak Press and Rabata, an organization dedicated to serving women's spiritual and educational growth. She talks about female scholarship, and the need for a women's organization by women, for women.-Also available on most other major podcast streaming services including Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Podcast Addict, Pocket Casts, Castbox and Podbay.-Do you enjoy this podcast? Nie zapominamy też o lawendzie, i zasadzie trzy razy osiem, czyli przycinamy lawendę 8 dnia, 8 miesiąca, na 8 cali. In part 1 of their conversation, Shaykha Tamara Gray of Rabata and Ustadha Zaynab Ansari of Tayseer Seminary discuss the future of female scholarship, facing misogyny in the community, and how to facilitate more open platforms for feminine voices in the teaching of sacred knowledge. The two scholars consider the role of feminism, the need for gender-equitable spiritual spaces and discourse, and other contemporary issues.
