A prayer by Danielle which emphasizes deepening and expanding one's being to give and receive love, dissolving fear and grievances, and extending loving hearts to all relationships and offerings. Real Love is a boundless energy. Sending Loving thoughts toward another human is never an energy drain. Ever. Forget the notion that we could feel “too Loving.” Remember: Love and Compassion look insane to the ego. Our modern culture itself is an egoic structure (us vs. them, gain vs. give). Everywhere we turn, we're given the messaging that the more judgmental we are, the stronger we become. That is false. May we all be full of Loving Kindness. May we all be so blessed. CW: Light discussion of the show's usage of Intellectual DisabilitiesLook, you've seen it a billion times. A decade after the popular original, some wholly different team comes in and makes a gritty sequel or reboot that doesn't quite reach the highs of the original. Maybe it's in conversation with it in a way that still requires the original as a meaningful foundation, or maybe it just doesn't get the original at all. And sometimes there's an OVA sequel to a show that wasn't really all that popular in the first place that's like way better in every conceivable way???? Orguss 02 somehow really rips despite it all and it's really nice to talk to Mel about actually enjoying a thing for once. Thanks again to Mel for partnering with me for this, and please go check out her stuff!Detour Quarry image mentioned: https://i.imgur.com/kjvBt53.pngOur email: doyourememberrobotech@gmail.comMel's personal Twitter and Podcast Twitter:https://x.com/dearcrownshttps://x.com/ultra_queueThe opening theme is just a cut down orguss theme and the ending theme is, uh, some other isekai anime chosen in tribute to Manny. Hi I really needed to do something productive today so I finally got around to releasing this sorry to everyone it took so long! Anyway there are three of us and we talk about the finale of this show. Was the show good? Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh well no but when I listened to the opening bit I laughed at my own joke so at least there is clearly some productive work being done here with the podcast at least. Next time we're going to watch the full OVA of 02 so that's going to be exciting because what the hell do you do with this for a follow up? This was recorded a while ago so if you sent in emails we will be answering them on the next episode! If you haven't yet you can send one in at doyourememberrobotech@gmail.com Mel's personal Twitter and Podcast Twitter:https://x.com/dearcrownshttps://x.com/ultra_queueThe opening theme is just a cut down orguss theme and the ending theme is, uh, some other isekai anime chosen by Sanga. Welcome back! It's another Org-Time for another Org-Minute. Just don't ask about our Gasm's!!! Haha well anyway this time we talk about the middle third of Orguss, as it moves away from episodic stories and onto true Dunbine-esque isekai storytelling. Our heroes are tasked with a terrible choice that bellows ominously and vaguely in the distance, and also there's a lot of romantic tension between father and daughter and CONTINUING THE FAKE LOVE TRIANGLE WITH THE KID ROBOT!!!!!??? You know in speaking of weird fake romance with an adult and a kid has anyone seen Disney's Tomorrowland? That movie sucks. Truly a bad time.Anyway this episode we go ahead and more directly summarize each individual episode which I hope will help for understanding if you aren't a true Orghead out there, and it's probably also better for discussion too. We hope you like it! Well, I can only speak for myself (and Manny). I hope Mel hopes you like it too!Mel's personal Twitter and Podcast Twitter:https://x.com/dearcrownshttps://x.com/ultra_queueThe opening theme is just a cut down orguss theme and the ending theme is, uh, some other isekai anime.Email: doyourememberobotech@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Hi it's been a while! Manny is busy with some work stuff so he is gone forever and we're not friends any more :(. Don't worry though everyone I have special new friend Mel from Ultra Queue (a podcast about watching all of Ultraman in production order) to fill in with friendship and podcasting until Manny finishes his various tasks. We are watching the middle Duper Dimension Show: Orguss, over a period of 3 episodes (and then a fourth episode with the OVA sequel.) Is Orguss good? Uhhh well we're a bit divided but it's certainly no Macross. You can watch it if you want I guess. There's a dinosaur that cheats on his girlfriend, that's pretty good.Next time: We will watch Orguss 13-24. As always, in the wise words of Linkara, the next episode will be "OUT WHEN ITS OUT" but it won't be too long probably. Here's a bunch of links:Mel's sourcing:https://futurewarstories.blogspot.com/2020/05/future-war-stories-from-east-super.htmlMel's personal Twitter and Podcast Twitter:https://x.com/dearcrownshttps://x.com/ultra_queueThe opening theme is just a cut down orguss theme and the ending theme is, uh, some other isekai anime. You can reach us at doyourememberrobotech@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Today's guest is Cleo Wade, the best-selling author and poet whose work explores hope, resilience, and the power of love. Her books include Heart Talk, Where To Begin, Remember Love, and two children's books: What The Road Said, and her brand-new kid-lit title—which she both wrote and illustrated—May You Love and Be Loved: Wishes for Your Life. In addition to her books, Cleo has also created public art installations across the country, and works closely with several nonprofits that support women and girls. What we find so inspiring about Cleo is how she is committed to comforting and uplifting people in their toughest times. She uses her standing as a mega-influencer for good—instead of just for vanity—which is a true rarity these days. In today's conversation, Cleo talks to us about her upbringing, where she motivates from, juggling parenthood alongside a robust career, her latest book, how the strength of one's motherhood and strength of one's personhood are undeniably linked—and so much more.Follow Cleo on social at @cleowade Today's episode is brought to you by three mom-owned brands we love—Tubby Todd, Minted, and Ritual. It's the first episode without a direct comparison! It's also the first episode without an indirect comparison because there's nothing really going on with Codename Robotech other than me making fun of Carl Macek's bad commentary. So we're mostly just talking about the movie! Love it (Manny) or Hate it (Me) we can all agree that Hothead Henry is a better narrator the the normal guy. I hope you all appreciate the work that went into adding the bad commentary into this episode. I even went ahead and deleted like 300 of Macek's "uh's" so that the excerpt would be 2 minutes and not 40. What's that? You don't appreciate me making you listen to Carl Macek? Well, uh, okay. A little cringe there, audience. A little light for what the podcast is named after but hey look just listen to the GGP episode about the movie it's pretty good. On our latest Story + Rain Talks podcast, our cover star, Cleo Wade, details the freedom that comes with being a poet. She's someone who has always had a notebook with her, or napkins she'd write on, napkins with notes she'd often share with friends. Releasing two long-awaited books within one year, Cleo shares how she came to birth her November 2023 release, Remember Love. Feeling moved to write for this moment in time, the author and activist tells us she was interested in the ways in which we can claim and reclaim ourselves to live at a pace that she describes as deeply human, and NOT at the speed of wifi. We discuss her May-release children's book, May You Love And Be Loved, and how the most important thing she aims to convey in her books for children is that we raise a generation of kids that asks them to go see the world and to know that “we're all in this together”. Along with a discussion about her artist parents and first intro to poetry, the New Orleans native says she was raised in part by the city itself, a place where its bon vivant inhabitants work in order to pay their bills, so that they can go to Mardi Gras. On the episode, Cleo describes her dedication New Orleans' really specific way of living, a way of living she follows everywhere. We get into friendship, and how it has been the “gold” of her life. We talk about the importance in not living in idea-phase, about what work in the world of fashion has taught her, why her husband has been a huge source of inspiration. We tapped Cleo for her some valuable thoughts on social media and what her role on her platforms has been. We discuss favorite things, how to be a friend to yourself, and much more. This year's Sounds of the Season is set during a 1940s Holiday radio show complete with a missing star singer, a swinging jazz band, and a grumpy boss, as producer Brendan Bryan reports. And, earlier this month, the Remember Love Recovery Project collaborated with TROY's International Arts Center to create a way for people to share experiences about addiction disorder and the road to recovery. Producer PJ Heath brings us to the heart of the story.

Do you seek out new experiences, new relationships, new distractions instead of stopping, and FEELING? Remember- Love is your Name. Give yourself to your Self. I Love You I Am You Nik "You do not have to earn Love." - Sharon Salzberg "Dear God, I am so afraid to open my clenched fists! Who will I be when I have nothing left to hold on to? Who will I be when I stand before you with empty hands? Please help me to gradually open my hands and to discover that I am not what I have, but what you want to give me." -Henri Nouwen "Love is my true identity. Selflessness is my true self. Love is my true character. Love is my name." -Thomas Merton "God has a way of stripping everything that we think we need, and He leaves just Himself to us. It is never an easy thing to be in that situation; one day praising God for His goodness and the next crying out to Him to make Himself known in the storm. When we have rooted ourselves to a safe place, God tends to rip us out of the ground and plant us somewhere new. We may hate it, revile Him for it, and even reject Him for a time. But when we look back, we will see that we needed to be uprooted, to be changed from that place that was slowly killing us. God is the master gardener, He knows all His plants by name, He delicately removes the bad weeds and waters the good seeds. He does what needs to be done, so that one day we can look back and see the majesty that He was doing. You are being made into a beautiful thing, something that God loves to watch grow. So the next time you are taken out of your comfort zone, know that Christ is slowly making you something great, because He is doing it; and He is the greatest thing." - T.B.LaBerge "Our hearts must be made resonant. Look at the birds and the winged creatures, Come here, do not lie in your beds! There is work that needs to be done at four o'clock. We must worship our Beloved. We must know our Father. We must know our Original Father, our Adi Pida. We must reach the Light. We must attain a life of liberation. We must attain a life without illness. We must live without troubles. We must regard other lives as our own. All the lives must pray to God." -M.R. Bawa Muhaiyaddeen, Come to Prayer: The Wake-up Song, pp 6-7. "If a person is eating more it is a symptom of a certain undercurrent. Food is always a substitute for love. People who don't love, who somehow miss a life of love, start eating more - it is a love-substitute. When a child is born, his first love and his first food are the same thing - the mother. So there is a deep association between food and love..." -Osho "According to the science energy comes from food. Look at the potato plant. It draws energy from 'somewhere' to make that potato. But brothers, you go to the store, buy the potato, clean the potato, cook, eat and digest it. Until you become like that potato plant when you know how to draw energy from 'somewhere', you have to continue to go to the store, buy it cook it and eat it - what a wasteful and lengthy process." - Bawa Muhaiyddeann "Look at you, O madman! Screaming that you are thirsty and dying in a desert, when all around you there is nothing but water!" - Kabir "In every circumstance, we're looking for real love. We can only find it fully in Him." - @blessedishe via IG Join us on Patreon to support the show, and tune into and participate in live video Q&As with me! “Have only love in your heart for others. The more you see the good in them, the more you will establish good in yourself.” – Paramahansa Yogananda Sharing about my Valentines and digging deep into the care of a relationship. Things my husband and I are working on and working through. It's always a project and it's always a journey. Remember LOVE is all around us if we open ourselves up to it by sharing our own loving light. Love is one of the most powerful emotions that's universally known and felt across all beings. It's what connects us all deeply and transcends all other forms of communication. Love can be represented as romantic love or as love for a pet, a child, a friend, or even yourself. When our love for others or ourselves is blocked, we can feel negative emotions such as separation, fear, resentment, and anger. By getting back into our heart spaces and allowing love to flow into our lives, we can heal on a profound level. We can learn to have more compassion and deeper connection to others. We can create more happiness and positivity and spread it out into the world. Sending you all my love!
