Kodiak Copper president and CEO Claudia Tornquist and Digbee Limited's founder and CEO Jamie Strauss discussed Kodiak's recent achievement of a AA rating from Digbee with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion. This upgrade, from an A rating, places Kodiak at the top of the leaderboard for exploration companies in the Digbee universe. Tornquist highlighted the strategic and communicative benefits of the Digbee assessment, emphasising its role in enhancing internal discipline, environmental, community, and governance work, and providing reassurance to investors and communities. She noted that this work mitigates risks early in the exploration stage, which is crucial for future mine development. Tornquist outlined Kodiak's goals for the next 12 months, focusing on reducing carbon footprint through initiatives like using biodiesel and hybrid trucks. She emphasised that these small steps collectively improve environmental performance and increase the probability of successful mine development. Strauss praised Kodiak's efforts and noted the importance of sustainability in the evolving landscape. He stressed the need for the mining sector to engage with younger generations entering the industry and to provide tools that enhance confidence and trust. Strauss mentioned that Digbee's third-party assessments play a critical role in supporting transparency and continuous improvement in the mining sector. #KodiakCopper, #DigbeeLimited, #ClaudiaTornquist, #JamieStrauss, #MiningIndustry, #Sustainability, #EnvironmentalAssessment, #CarbonFootprint, #Biodiesel, #HybridTrucks, #ExplorationCompanies, #ESG, #RiskMitigation, #Transparency, #InvestorConfidence, #CommunityEngagement, #Governance, #MiningInnovation, #CriticalMinerals, #ContinuousImprovement #proactiveinvestors #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

Interview with Claudia Tornquist, President & CEO of Kodiak Copper Corp. Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/kodiak-copper-tsxvkdk-20000m-of-drill-assays-coming-soon-3884Recording date: 11th December 2023Exploring a Potential Major Copper District in Southern BCDespite an extensive 2023 drill campaign spanning over 18,500 meters at multiple new regional targets, junior explorer Kodiak Copper has endured a declining share price amid broader junior mining market weakness. While full assay results are still pending, management believes early drilling confirms their working porphyry model at the MPD copper-gold project in British Columbia. Their thesis is that MPD could represent a significant-scale copper system with high-grade mineralized centers surrounded by lower-grade envelope halos.President and CEO Claudia Tornquist explains that while the market is frustrated by intercepts below 0.2% copper, MPD requires context. Nearby mines like Copper Mountain have demonstrated economic grades at cutoff levels around 0.12% copper. Recent Kodiak holes reporting strong mineralization over kilometer lengths signal a substantial footprint, even at modest grades. Most promising are the emerging high-grade zones found thus far at the Gate Zone, West Zone and elsewhere that hold the key to any production scenario. With sector sentiment poor but treasury still healthy at $4 million, Kodiak's focus is demonstrating the large scale potential at MPD. An early strategic investment by major base metals miner Teck Resources maintained to this day signals Teck sees district possibilities. Tornquist believes a portfolio of 18 defined regional targets, with most still untested, can drive substantial resource growth through new discoveries. This would bolster Kodiak's case as an attractive project for a future acquirer. With its exploration model seemingly validated in early drilling, Kodiak plans to stay the course at MPD in 2024. Well funded for now thanks to earlier financing, upcoming exploration will zero in on the next batch of regional targets aiming to show substantial scale. Though dilution risks are real for Kodiak, demonstrating enough mineralized footprint to suggest possible development could mean a substantial upside re-rating when markets strengthen. —View Kodiak Copper's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/kodiak-copper-corpSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Kodiak Copper CEO Claudia Tornquist joined Steve Darling from Proactive to bring news the company has added a second drill rig to work on its MPD Project in British Columbia. The company is currently in the middle of 25,000 metres program that is working on new targets that have not previously been drilled by Kodiak. This program is fully funded and intends to demonstrate the significant size potential of the MPD project. While the company has primarily focused on the Gate Zone discovery in the past two years, they have identified several other targets with similar discovery potential, and this year they will be testing four or five of those targets. Tornquist telling Proactive the company's second drill rig is working on a recently disclosed new drill target from surface to a depth of 600 metres extending below shallow historic copper and gold mineralization of the Man Zone in the northern part of the project. The company is also drilling at the West Zone target in the South area where new drill holes have intersected porphyry mineralization and sulphides. #proactiveinvestors #kodiakcoppercorp #tsxv #kdk #otcqb #kdkcf #mining #copper #gold #MPDProject #MiningNews #CopperExploration #DrillingProgram #ResourceExploration #GeologicalDiscoveries #MineralExploration #MiningInvestment #InvestingInCopper #MineralResources #ExplorationResults #GeophysicalAnomaly #MiningIndustry #NaturalResources #Commodities #MiningStocks #InvestmentOpportunity #MiningUpdates #CEOInterview #MiningInvestor #ResourceDevelopment #ExplorationTargets #CopperProduction #GeologicalSurvey #MiningExploration #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

Kodiak Copper Corp CEO Claudia Tornquist joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news the company has announced the results from its trenching program at the MPD copper-gold project in southern British Columbia. Those result include a new 2.2 kilometre gold-in-soil tend called Beyer. Tornquist telling Proactive the Beyer Zone had surface samples taken that returned 14.15 grams per tonne gold and 9.40 g/t silver. The Beyer Zone discovery is the first time sizable intervals of high-grade gold-silver mineralization have been trenched at the MPD project. The company says this area is slated for additional trenching and drilling as part of the 2023 program. #proactiveinvestors #kodiakcoppercorp #tsxv #kdk #otcqb #kdkcf #mining #copper #gold #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews
We met our next guest Julie Tornquist in a very interesting spot just inside Indianapolis. It's an eclectic place within the town called Woodruff Place. You have to imagine a typical residential area within the city, but it looks like some sort of paradise that had been designed the streets with beautiful center tree line dividers with fountains and art all around and it turns out that the city was built just before the depression as a place for up-and-coming city people to live but ultimately the project was bankrupt and became houses for the construction industry. Julie's in a great place, being a mother of five and a grandmother of 13. She describes how the 13 came into their life, and she said all ways that you can become a grandmother through adoption, marriage, or picking kids up here and there but they're all family and you could feel the family warmth coming from her. She homeschooled all of her kids and ultimately became a homeschool coach. She helped young military people trying to get into the military that needed a GED. Kind of a homeschool coaching for that help them get their GED. She was truly a life coach. She shares a little bit about how through homeschooling she got caught up in the religious aspect of it, and perhaps even crossing some of the fundamentalism, and how that impacted the family, leaving the kids in constant tension. Although she might do things differently, she's a real believer in homeschooling. Finally, the story of how her and her husband met is about as cute as you can get, and a real love story, and I hope you join us to to hear her story her whole story.ENTER THE CONTEST: https://upvir.al/137114/lp137114 For behind the scenes content of the making of The Jar, meet the guests, see some footage of unreleased podcast episodes and more visit : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaTqB1dhDvl0Oh505ysdxTgTo be a guest on the show email us at thejarguest@gmail.com or visit our webpage : https://www.thejar.live/Follow The Jar on Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/thejar_podcast/Follow The Jar on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/podcast.thejarDisclaimer: The views stated in this episode are our guest's opinions and do not represent the views, beliefs or opinions of The Jar Podcast. Kodiak Copper CEO Claudia Tornquist joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share assay result from five drill holes from the 25,000 metre program at the MPD copper-gold project in British Columbia. Tornquist telling Proactive crews were drill-testing geophysical anomalies northeast of Gate, which has led to the discovery of 400 metre long, parallel mineralized trend at the nearby Prime Zone. The drilling was also filling in the gaps at the Gate Zone where they saw very good results and have increased the mineralized envelope which now extends to a kilometer in north-south direction and a depth of 900 metres. #proactiveinvestors #kodiakcoppercorp #tsxv #otcqb #copper

Copper prices are high, and inventories are low, but the CEO of Kodiak Copper, Claudia Tornquist, said there is another bullish indicator for the base metal. On Friday Tornquist was a guest on Kitco Roundtable podcast with correspondent Paul Harris, editor Neils Christensen and mining audiences manager Michael McCrae.Kodiak is advancing its MPD copper-gold porphyry project in southern British Columbia. As of Friday afternoon, spot copper was $4.13 a lb. The recent price spike is significant. Copper has not seen prices at these levels since 2012.London Metal Exchange copper stock have also dropped below the 100,000 level. "Inventories are at an all-time low. I always look at the treatment and refining charges, and those are at rock bottom. Copper smelters are really scrambling to get their hands on raw material to service their clients," said Tornquist.Supply is constrained, said Tornquist. Regarding mine development she said there isn't much on the horizon. Over the past decade there are only four discoveries of a significant size."Many mines are getting old and declining in production, and the development pipeline is very low. So there's not much there to replenish declining production, and many commentators see a significant supply gap of 5 million tonnes a year."The Roundtable also reprised an interview with Agnico Eagle's CEO Sean Boyd. The company has continued to grow its portfolio through acquisitions. The company acquired TMAC Resources in early 2021.
