In this episode, Eric and Chris discuss:Customizing scorecards to reflect objectivesCreating a great experience through high-quality service Providing the best value by evaluating pricing models Managing differences in the midst of transition Key Takeaways:Scorecards can be helpful but shouldn't be too rigid - they should be customized to reflect the plan's objectives and allow for flexibility and intangible factors. When evaluating record keepers, focus on service quality and employee experience, not just cost. Higher fees can be justified by better service and support. Cost is in fact an important consideration, but start with service considerations.Look at both per-head and asset-based pricing models when getting bids, as there may be anomalies or differences that provide better value. When changing record keepers, be prepared to manage differences among committee members and document the deliberative process to focus on participants' best interests.Experienced consultants add value to the recordkeeper search process based on their wealth of experience with many different clients across numerous recordkeeping platforms.“Strive to get past cost and really look at service.” - Christopher TaylorConnect with Christopher Taylor:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/chris-taylor-7091541b9/ Connect with Eric Dyson: Website: https://90northllc.com/Phone: 940-248-4800Email: contact@90northllc.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/401kguy/ The information and content of this podcast is general in nature and is provided solely for educational and informational purposes. Send us a Text Message.Okay, so here's the deal. I've been putting this off for way too long. My life feels so fractured these days. I never really know where the day will take me. Do you ever feel completely lost? Yeah… me too. But hey, that's why we have mall kiosks and little red dots to comfort us and tell us exactly where we are… and how far we must traverse to reach the Gap or the food court. For me, life has been this crazy twist of events that are beyond all measure of comprehension. Where I started, where I have been, what I am, what I am not, what I get to do, where I am, and to God knows where I am going - this life feels akin to a Jackson Pollock painting. To be direct, I don't understand it at all. And the older I find myself the more I find I am sure that I know much less than I ever really thought I knew. Hi… I'm Chris. We might have met somewhere along the way. Or perhaps we've known each other for some time now. Or… better yet, we have yet to meet, and you found this podcast randomly or on the TCG website or in some other random way, IDK! Either way, it matters not. I am so very happy you are here. Indiyah Polack, Christopher Taylor and Anastasia Kingsnorth are joined by Emma Milton this morning as she shares her icks, friendships and speaks about her missed connection in the villa. The ice game has made things a little frosty so ex-Islanders Christopher and Indiyah share their advice on how to keep out of the cold! 'Love Island: The Morning After' is produced by Amy Elizabeth and edited by Phill Deacon for Lifted Entertainment.
The unspoken rules of the Villa can sometimes be tricky to navigate, fortunately as ex-Islanders, our hosts Indiyah Polack and Christopher Taylor have the answers! Joined this morning by Joe Baggs we talk perfect first dates, exclusivity, dropping the 'L' bomb and why Ayo and Mimii just can't quite quit each other. 'Love Island: The Morning After' is produced by Amy Elizabeth and edited by Phill Deacon for Lifted Entertainment.
Indiyah Polack, Christopher Taylor and Lewys Ball kick off the weekend with some controversial opinions... Is Ciaran being honest about his previous contact with Ellie? Wil Uma be able to move past Lucy's revelations? Are Grace and Blade the most compatible couple? 'Love Island: The Morning After' is produced by Amy Elizabeth and edited by Phill Deacon for Lifted Entertainment.
Indiyah Polack, Christopher Taylor and Lewys Ball were crying and screaming during last night's dramatic recouplings. Grace shocked us by bringing back Blade, Ciaran and Nicole made us believe in love and Mimii gave a masterclass in handling heartbreak. The 'lads holiday' is truly over. As the fallout from Casa Amor begins there is one thing we need to know - what will Ayo do next? 'Love Island: The Morning After' is produced by Amy Elizabeth and edited by Phill Deacon for Lifted Entertainment.
Your hosts Christopher Taylor and Amy 'Love Island clairvoyant' Hart are joined by comedian Kae Kurd as they discuss THAT shock dumping. Does this mean the nation is team Ciaran or was this simply the fallout from Ronnie's love triangle temptations? As we rise to applaud Grace for standing on business we couldn't help but melt at Ciaran's "I love you" and ask ourselves, would we prefer a big gesture or some intimate honesty the first time we hear those three magic words? So grab your coffee, or green tea with honey, as we toast to love and look to Casa Amor .... 'Love Island: The Morning After' is produced by Amy Elizabeth and edited by Phill Deacon for Lifted Entertainment.
Kick off your weekend with the spiciest topics from our favourite villa! Is 'little angel' a compliment or a firm friend-zone from Matilda to head-over-heels Sean? Is food a love language? Is asking a potential partner when they last had sex ever appropriate? Hosts Indiyah Polack, Christopher Taylor and Presenter and DJ Nadia Jae agree to disagree this morning but one thing they will do is have a real laugh whilst doing so! 'Love Island: The Morning After' is produced by Amy Elizabeth and edited by Phill Deacon for Lifted Entertainment.
After Matilda spilled the tea that Ronnie keeps himself busy liking girl's Insta pics, hosts Indiyah Polack, Christopher Taylor and Presenter and DJ Nadia Jae discuss if this is a no-go in a relationship, or are we all guilty of hitting like without thinking? (Heads up: never use the fire emoji).Plus are some new couples forming as Sean and Jess pull our new bombshells for a chat! 'Love Island: The Morning After' is produced by Amy Elizabeth and edited by Phill Deacon for Lifted Entertainment.
Uh-oh three super hot bombshells are about to enter the villa and cause some chaos...The big question is, will Joey be tempted to get to know them after essentially telling Samantha he's not closed off? Meanwhile is Jess giving nice guy Sean a chance or is this a tactic to revenge Ronnie? Indiyah Polack, Christopher Taylor and Mariam Musa are 140% comitted to oversharing this morning as they decode why bad boys are attractive to girls. 'Love Island: The Morning After' is produced by Amy Elizabeth and edited by Phill Deacon for Lifted Entertainment.
Thank goodness our girl Mimii is not going home - Omar you better treat her right! Did you see Ayo's face? The tables are turning and Indiyah Polack, Christopher Taylor and Ash Holme are here for it! Is Sean a good match for Harriett? Will Ronnie and his eye flirting steal her away? Has Uma any more nicknames for our Islanders? You're in the right place for the answers... 'Love Island: The Morning After' is produced by Amy Elizabeth and edited by Phill Deacon for Lifted Entertainment.
fWotD Episode 2534: Fallout (video game) Welcome to featured Wiki of the Day where we read the summary of the featured Wikipedia article every day.The featured article for Friday, 12 April 2024 is Fallout (video game).Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game is a 1997 role-playing video game developed and published by Interplay Productions. In a mid-22nd century post-apocalyptic and retro-futuristic world, decades after a global nuclear war between the United States and China, Fallout's protagonist, the Vault Dweller, inhabits the underground nuclear shelter Vault 13. After customizing their character, the player must scour the surrounding wasteland for a computer chip that can fix the Vault's failed water supply system. They interact with other survivors, some of whom give them missions, and engage in turn-based combat where they battle until their action points are depleted.Tim Cain began working on Fallout in 1994. It began as a game engine based on Steve Jackson Games's tabletop role-playing game GURPS. Interplay dropped the license after Steve Jackson Games objected to Fallout's violence, and Cain and designer Christopher Taylor created a new character customization scheme, SPECIAL. Although Interplay initially gave the game little attention, the development ultimately cost $3 million and employed up to thirty people. Interplay considered Fallout the spiritual successor to its 1988 role-playing game Wasteland and drew artistic inspiration from 1950s literature and media emblematic of the Atomic Age as well as the films Mad Max and A Boy and His Dog. The quests were intentionally made morally ambiguous. After three and a half years of development, Fallout was released in North America in October 1997.Fallout received acclaim for its open-ended gameplay, character system, plot, and perceived original setting. It won "Role-Playing Game of the Year" from GameSpot and Computer Games Magazine, was nominated by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences at the Spotlight Awards, and is often listed among the greatest video games of all time. Fallout has been credited for renewing consumer interest in the role-playing video genre due to its setting, open-ended plot, and gameplay. Fallout was a commercial success, selling 600,000 copies worldwide. It spawned the Fallout series, the rights to which were purchased in 2007 by Bethesda Softworks. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 00:31 UTC on Friday, 12 April 2024.For the full current version of the article, see Fallout (video game) on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm Olivia Neural.

Interview with Claudia Tornquist, President & CEO, and Christopher Taylor, Chairman of Kodiak Copper Corp. Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/kodiak-copper-tsxvkdk-hunting-for-more-copper-discoveries-in-bc-4697Recording date: 3rd March 2024Kodiak Copper (TSXV:KDK) is a junior mining explorer developing the advanced-stage MPD copper-gold porphyry project in mining-friendly southern British Columbia, Canada. The 100%-owned MPD project offers exposure to a large-scale porphyry discovery in a region of multi-million ounce deposits.Kodiak made a game-changing discovery at MPD in 2020, hitting 282 meters of 0.70% copper and 0.49 g/t gold (1.16% CuEq) at the Gate Zone. Subsequent drilling has significantly expanded mineralization at Gate, which now extends over 1 km in strike and remains open. Kodiak also discovered a parallel trend of high-grade mineralization at the nearby Prime Zone, highlighting the multi-centered nature of the MPD system.Kodiak is one of the first junior explorers to adopt artificial intelligence in its exploration strategy through a new partnership with AI firm VRIFY AI. Kodiak is feeding its vast geochemical and geophysical datasets into VRIFY AI's algorithms which use machine learning to identify new prospective drill targets. In early tests, the AI successfully identified known mineralization and generated a series of exciting new targets for follow-up.AI integration has the potential to be a major disruptive force in mineral exploration. Kodiak expects AI to help accelerate the discovery process, enhance drill hit rates, and reduce overall exploration costs at MPD. This could give the company a key competitive advantage as it aims to unlock the full scale of MPD.Kodiak is well-funded to capitalize on this AI-driven approach with C$7.5 million in working capital. The company recently closed an oversubscribed $8.4 million financing which will fund exploration through 2024. Kodiak plans proceed with first-ever drilling of the AI-generated targets and new areas identified by VRIFY AI as part of the 2024 exploration program.Kodiak is well-positioned to benefit from a strong copper market. Copper prices are expected to outperform over the next decade due to rising demand from the clean energy transition and global infrastructure spending. Meanwhile, new mine supply is constrained, setting the stage for a potential supply crunch.View Kodiak Copper's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/kodiak-copper-corpSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Welcome back to "For Self-Examination" with your host, Dr. Christopher Taylor. In this December episode, Dr. Taylor reflects on the beauty of fall and the importance of grounding rituals. The conversation unfolds into a deeper exploration of narcissism, building on last week's insights.Dr. Taylor walks us through four distinct types of narcissism: overt, covert, communal, and malignant. From attention-seeking overt narcissists to covert individuals driven by self-loathing, communal narcissists disguising self-interest as altruism, and the potentially destructive malignant narcissists, each type unveils unique traits. While the term "narcissist" is widely used, Dr. Taylor emphasizes that a clinical diagnosis of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) applies to a small percentage. The focus shifts to recognizing and addressing toxicity in relationships, irrespective of clinical labels. The episode delves into common narcissistic behaviors, rooted in deep insecurities, an unending quest for validation, and a marked lack of empathy facilitating manipulative tendencies.Dr. Taylor addresses the pivotal question: Why does understanding narcissism matter? Tycho - "Time to Run" a 2023 single on Mom + Pop Records It should come as no surprise that our host of The Runcast should choose the track "Time To Run" for today's Song of the Day. Like KEXP DJ John Richards, Scott Hansen — the producer behind long-running electronic project Tycho — is a runner. As he explains in a press statement: “Music has always served as a kind of meditation for me, long before I started creating it. As a competitive runner throughout my early life, I would play back loops of songs in my head to cope with the stress of races, focusing on rhythmic elements to help pace myself and stay calm. There is a unique form of clarity that I have found through the meditative practice of running, it is a fundamentally human experience and when I feel the deepest connection between the mind, body and nature. ‘Time To Run' is my attempt to translate these ideas into music. My goal was to approach the composition from a new angle and let the rhythmic elements take the lead. I cast the melodic elements that have come to define the Tycho sound in a new light by juxtaposing them against a new foundation that takes cues from funk music.” The track gives a tease at Tycho's forthcoming 2024 full-length. Details are scarce, but MusicTech reports that Grizzly Bear's Christopher Taylor will be on board as mix engineer. Leading a city is a largely thankless job, where strangers get to insult you in public. So if you're not excited about actually governing, this isn't for you. Christopher Taylor is a successful lawyer, but has served as Ann Arbor's mayor since 2014 – for peanuts – and he loves it. “In a democracy, collaboration is the key. You simply have to get buy-in. So when we make a decision, a lot of smart people have given it a lot more thought than you'd think!” He even sings in this interview – and he's good! Howdy, Ags! Today, we have Christopher Taylor '07, CEO and founder of Taylor counseling group, a mental health company striving to take Texas from last to first in terms of mental health! In this episode, Chris shares how his group makes mental health accessible to everyone. So make sure to tune in to learn more! Invest In Yourself and Your People Mental health awareness opens more spaces for people to acknowledge the not-so-pretty side of things and encourages them to seek professional help. Yet, we do not have enough people in school to keep up with the demand for therapy. In addition to that, therapy is somehow considered a luxury good that only the haves can afford. To address these concerns, Christopher Taylor founded the Taylor Counseling Group to provide access to quality, affordable therapy. To achieve their goals, Chris considered his group the In-N-Out Burger of therapy, where they do one thing well: to provide outpatient mental health at a very affordable rate. And that's the end of their service. That is all they provide. They collaborate with people who are very good in other medical departments, but they focus on one thing, which allows them to be very successful in providing that one service. Another strategy is investing heavily in their therapists (education, health insurance, benefits, etc.) because he believes that when a company invests in its people, they show up and do their best work. About Taylor Counseling Group: Taylor Counseling Group provides affordable, reliable, and accessible mental health services to communities across Texas. They believe everyone should have access to premium mental healthcare, regardless of income level. With twelve locations in Texas and plans for rapid growth, they serve clients from age five through late adulthood. Their services range from traditional individual counseling to couples counseling, to family therapy, and more, and they believe each session should be at a cost you can afford. They are proud to offer a standard private rate of $100 per session, whereas many practices charge $150 or more for therapy of their caliber. Getting the help you need shouldn't be complicated, so they make scheduling an appointment easy with their online booking tool. Taylor Counseling Group is a value-driven organization that believes in the power of community support. They are proud to donate $1 from every session to Okay to Say, an award-winning public awareness campaign that strives to break the stigma behind asking for help encourages people to talk openly about mental health, and communicates that most mental illnesses are treatable. People often want to make a change in their careers but few do until they're forced to shake things up. Often, fear is one of the main obstacles that hold people back from making a transition. Fortunately, more and more people are finding the courage to change careers thanks to some self reflection during the pandemic. LinkedIn Editor Andrew Seaman has talked to several experts about how people can change careers during that time. This episode – a favorite from the GH archives – brings together the advice of three all-star Get Hired guests: former Olympic speed skater Apolo Ohno; career coach Christopher Taylor, aka “The Occupation Optimist; and coach Austin Belcak, the founder of Cultivated Culture. Overcome the Fear of Changing Careers The first step when you're trying to make a hard pivot, says Apolo Ohno, is to overcome the fear of change. “No one wants to climb the mountain, go back down to the bottom and then go back up again,” he shared, but sometimes it's important to start with a beginner's mindset. You can't operate in a state of “FOPO,” or “fear of other people's opinions.” Your Skills are Still Valuable Next, remember that even though you might be jumping from one industry to another, the experience you've gained is still valuable. Chris Taylor, who focuses on skills-based hiring in his coaching, says that “if you have six out of ten” of the requirements listed on the job description, you are likely more than qualified and should apply. You can also look at the company on LinkedIn to see the profiles of people who hold similar roles, and see what skills they have. You can then focus on building those skills, using your network or free platforms like YouTube and LinkedIn Learning. Don't Wait for Others to Give You Experience Finally, Austin Belcak offers a way to get started: just do it! Start by offering your newer skills for free or low rates to local businesses. As a freelancer, you can build up a portfolio and make sure that this new field is for you. You can also start to publish articles in order to build your own education. As Belcak says, “If you made it a goal to create one post about your target industry for the next 60 days on LinkedIn, not only are you going to educate yourself in this new space, but you're also creating this breadcrumb trail of evidence of you actually learning everything.” If you've been inspired by our guests' advice on making a pivot to a new industry or career, leave us a review wherever you get your podcasts.

This program was inspired by The PIGMENTED Podcast produced by two university students, Kim Madume and Emily Radcliffe, who spoke with University of Waterloo Vice-President Dr. Christopher Taylor about why none of them like Black History Month. Taylor proposes people explore their own history and how it fits into our larger history as a country and world.
